Charlene grew up in Northern Ireland near the end of 'The Troubles'. Learn about the chronic fear, the checkpoints, the violence, and she grew up believing that it was all normal. We can trace the path from her childhood experiences to the only tool that could silence the truama. Addiction creates havoc and affects the shame and guilt of her life, including her children and the desire to be a good mom. Finding recovery gave her a second chance to a first class life.
