The Father You've Been Searching For | Special Father's Day Service
In this special Father’s Day message, Pastor Chad helped us explore the ache beneath our striving—the question we’re all asking in one form or another: Am I loved? Through the story of the prodigal son, we discover a God who is a father and runs toward us, whether we’ve rebelled and wandered or stayed and strived. Which son do you relate to more in this season— the one who ran or the one who stayed and strived? How does that show up in your life?If you’ve ever questioned your worth or felt distant from God, this is a space where you can find truth, grace, and the welcome of the Father’s arms. Come home—you are already seen, already loved.
Discussion Questions:
- What’s one thing you remember doing as a kid to get your parents’ or someone’s attention?
- When you think about your relationship with God, do you find it easier to relate to Jesus, the Spirit, or the Father? Why do you think that is?
- Which son do you relate to more in this season— the one who ran or the one who stayed and strived? How does that show up in your life?
- How do you typically respond when you feel unloved, unseen, or unworthy? What might it look like to let God meet you in that place?
- Take some time to journal what God the Father is speaking to you in this season, then share and pray with one another.
