When Ruan saw that belief without behavior change wasn’t enough, he turned to chess as an unexpected tool for transformation. In a village plagued by unemployment and despair, the game became a way to teach problem-solving, values, and identity. Each piece on the board reflects a biblical truth, and each move becomes a lesson in life and leadership. Young people are discovering they matter, they belong, and they have something to contribute. What started as a game has sparked a grassroots movement of restoration and dignity.
