The Racing Movie PONY That Could Inspire Thousands of Girls

Rebecca joined the Women's Motorsports Network to discuss her starring role as Amanda Marchetti in the upcoming feature film Pony, a story centered around two sisters competing in dirt modified racing. Although she entered the project knowing almost nothing about dirt racing, months of preparation, research, filming, and time spent with racers transformed her into a passionate advocate for the sport. 

During filming at Bridgeport Speedway, Rebecca discovered that racing is far more than fast cars. She experienced the teamwork inside the pits, the friendships among competitors, and the family atmosphere that defines grassroots motorsports. Those experiences reshaped her understanding of racing and ultimately inspired her to pursue her own rookie racing season. 

The conversation also explored the importance of female representation in motorsports films, why authentic storytelling matters, and how one movie has the power to inspire countless young girls to believe they belong behind the wheel.
