Welcome to the Ben and Bess Podcast Tag Team Talk. I'm Ben, I'm Bess. I'm going to lace up your boots and hit the mat with the Ben and Bess Podcast Tag Team Talk.
Speaker 2:Alright, here we are for another one. This time we are going to do Night 2 for WrestleMania 41. Let's get to it. 41. Let's get to it.
Speaker 1:Okay, for the first match on the card, it's Io Sky vs Bianca Belair, vs Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship, and recently on Raw and just in general, they've been disregarding Io Sky Because at the um, what was it called? Wrestlemania?
Speaker 2:kickoff.
Speaker 1:Rhea Ripley mentioned. Rhea Ripley mentioned really said that she always envisioned herself against, against Bianca, but then when you add EO in there, but what they said, they keep adding like, add EO or stuff like that, like she's the champion and like they're basically like like not even like like saying her as a threat.
Speaker 2:Basically, I mean, it was supposed to be in bianca and rio because bianca won the mission chamber, yeah, but then he'll had a rematch.
Speaker 1:So I mean, rio dropped the ball and lost the bill but I think that the underdog story, I think um e Io Skye overcomes the odds and retains her championship.
Speaker 2:Is it Yep? Nothing else.
Speaker 1:Nope, wait, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. I'm going to change my prediction. I'm saying Bianca Belair wins and I'm going for bonus points.
Speaker 2:Naomi helps her win, you changed your mind to Bianca yeah why didn't you say EO?
Speaker 1:cause you took my pick oh, you were going to say Bianca. Were you going to say the Naomi thing too? Yep, you could say go say it, say it. I was going to say Bianca, though but that's it.
Speaker 2:Are you officially switching to Bianca? Yep okay, so I guess we're on the same page with that one. I'm going to go with Bianca as well. I mean, she's been getting booed even though she she's done nothing wrong. She's been right about everything. I mean, she did nothing wrong. She didn't win the Warrior Rumble. She didn't win it. She went to the Nation Chamber. Instead. You win in the Nation Chamber, they tell you you're going to get a WrestleMania opportunity. Okay, she did that Against the champion. Who's the champion going to be by now? Monday?
Speaker 3:Night.
Speaker 2:Raw Cool. Rhea wrestled Io Scott Against the champion. Who was champion gonna be an hour Monday Night. Raw cool, real Russell yo Scott. River River Ripley is host to hell business she did. She lost the yo Scott. Okay, yo Scott's most rest of the uncle bill there playing a simple in discussion. Why is river play?
Speaker 1:the match. I might get it, but why isley in the match? I mean I get it, but why is she in the match? Because she weaseled her way in.
Speaker 2:But I'm just saying, that's what I'm saying Like she shouldn't be in the match. She lost her belt.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean, yeah, she gets a rematch, but why did she have to get a rematch at WrestleMania?
Speaker 2:She's had two months to get a rematch and she waits till now and she waits till now she could have been at a rematch, you know, and she waits till now and, like Bianca said, you're you know she's taking my shot away from me. I did what I was supposed to do and we really just sign the contract, put her name on the contract and get the title shot pretty much, and that and that and that messes up Bianca's odds too. Exactly, Scott Starner says 33. And third chance to win yeah.
Speaker 2:Goes from 50% to 33 and third of winning now. So I mean, I don't know. I mean I'm going to go Bianca. I was going to go Bianca anyways, no matter who. She wrestled at WrestleMania, just got things in her ear again. I mean, she's undefeated at WrestleMania. She hadn't beat Rhea Ripley before. She has a losing record against the EO, as they said. So this is, and it keeps her strict alive for the rest of mania. You know now, will Naomi help her out, you know, or will she feud with somebody else later on? I mean, yes, I'll match that backlash next month. So I'm going gonna go with Bianca now.
Speaker 1:But, um, for the second match on the card is from breaker versus Penta, versus Finn Balor versus Dominic Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and this one it's pretty difficult because all of these are very like people, like people who could carry the intercontinental championship very well. Um, um. I've seen a lot of people predicting uh, dominic mysterio, which I'm kind of surprised because I didn't think that many people want dominic mysterio with as the. But yeah, I think they're just going to tease Dominic Mysterio winning but Penta picks up the victory, yeah.
Speaker 2:So you're going with Penta.
Speaker 3:Yep.
Speaker 2:I'm going to disagree and I'm going to be one of those people I'm going to go with.
Speaker 1:I'm going to go, I'm going to be one of those people I'm going to go with Dominic Mysterio with it. But who does he pin? I don't know. Finn Balor maybe. Yeah, most people are saying Finn Balor.
Speaker 2:Finn Balor. They say Mm-hmm, that's what they're saying. But no, I'm going to go with Dominic Mysterio winning off a simple fact of he's been doing literally the best heel work in recent memory. I mean, he's been getting and he's and he turned to his dad two, three years ago. How long ago was that? Yeah, when, edge, I mean when.
Speaker 3:Edge was in the.
Speaker 2:AEW. I mean, how long ago was that? I mean that was at least a couple years ago, three years ago at least it was there because the climax to it was WrestleMania 39 so this is 41. So 39, this is 41, so think about how long ago it was yeah so here we are now and he's still getting booed the same way.
Speaker 2:he was back then, yeah, and hadn't died down yet. So if you know that's good heel work, Now he gets rewarded for the heel work. I mean, what better way? I mean you know what better way? And then that leads to him becoming the leader of Judgment Day Because he beats Finn Balor, you know. Because, Finn Balor's in the match too, yeah so if he beats Finn Balor and pans Finn Balor.
Speaker 2:Now what happens? You know so. But yeah, I got Dominic Mathieu winning that match. It should be. I mean, ron Breaker is the rookie out of all of them. Technically he is. Yeah, technically. I mean, dominic Zierer has been wrestling for a while.
Speaker 3:I guess I mean he's been wrestling, I mean before he came to the beat, he was wrestling all around.
Speaker 2:I mean he was training. I mean so, yeah, he's been wrestling for a long time, but Raymond Zierer trained him, right, had him trained all around the world yeah so before he came to WWE, so you know. So I would think Brian Breaker would be the, because Brian Breaker played football.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So he played football first and then came to WWE Dominic Ciro. All he done is wrestle. That's all he's been doing.
Speaker 3:I mean he was wrestling.
Speaker 2:He was a kid.
Speaker 3:Yeah wrestling.
Speaker 2:He was a kid, yeah, and the whole eddie girl ring stereo custody over dominic ladder match. So he's been in wb his whole life, pretty much. So he's been wrestling even longer so but, yeah, I'm gonna go with donald stereo. Uh, winning, winning championship.
Speaker 1:Um for the third match on the card. It it's AJ Styles versus Logan Paul, and this match I feel like it's go either way. You know, if you noticed, on Raw, karrion Kross had his hands behind his back when AJ Styles did the Styles Clash. I didn't notice that. Yeah Well, I didn't notice it either until until until people pointed it. I tell people pointed it out, but yeah, but yeah, um, yeah, but I think, um, hmm, I think I think AJ Styles is going to win this match. But I have a side prediction and I get bonus points for this. If I'm right, I'm predicting that Mr Beast is going to be in the prime box you think the prime box is gonna be in the crime box yep, it has to.
Speaker 1:He's done it. Every single Russell, many, except of his first one.
Speaker 2:I don't even think prom was out back hmm, it's not gonna be the prom ball again yeah mr beast this time, mm-hmm. Mr Beast, part of prom.
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:So why would he be in the prom Speed?
Speaker 2:wasn't either, though. Yeah, but I guess I was.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but at least Mr Beast has a company with Logan Paul. Feastables, not Feastables. Lunch Week, it's a Lunchables not? Yeah, I guess so.
Speaker 2:So it still makes sense yeah, maybe if he wants to do it, but he's gonna. Whatever happens, though, he's gonna get it. He's gonna take a spot. Yeah, because he wants to take a spot. He played football before how long goes that? I and I saw Speed. They actually took spot. So I mean, here's I who took a spot, and I know Speed did one in WrestleMania.
Speaker 1:In the room.
Speaker 2:In the room.
Speaker 1:And he got nasty gas on his leg for that.
Speaker 2:Exactly. So he actually took spot, but yeah. I don't know, maybe somebody can buy us a Prada bottle. We'll see. But you done with that, did you?
Speaker 1:pick. I picked AJ Styles.
Speaker 2:This should be a good match. I mean, aj Styles is getting there in age but he still puts on good matches regardless, you know, I mean he's still, like I said, you know, up there in age, wrestling with 20 plus years now, but he can still hang with the best of them as far as wrestling goes um logan paul not the biggest fan, logan paul, but not many people but you give somebody respect with respect is due and so far in wrestling he has been good.
Speaker 2:I mean just point blank, he has been good as a wrestler. You know. So you know, respect is due, respect is due regardless, and Logan Paul has been good. I mean, it seems like he's serious about it. At first I wasn't sure if he was gonna take it serious and and just you know, just something, something else to do you know, but it's not like I should take this serious.
Speaker 2:It seems like he's actually learned how to do it. He's getting better on. His promos took out going from most, though wrestling ability. I mean he's athletic already, and it's like a wrestling ability gets better time against the ring. I would like to see him wrestle more, though, because he's kind of doing the Roman Reigns without earning that pocket.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the only thing he's really done is won the United States Championship.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm saying it's like he's doing the Roman Reigns and Brock, but he hadn't earned the right to do that yet. Yeah, like he should be on TV, if not every week, every other week, you know, to earn their respect.
Speaker 3:I mean he may be backstage every time.
Speaker 2:I don't know, I'm not sure he may be backstage every time. I'm not going to say I'm not going to say he's not there every week, but he should be on TV every other week.
Speaker 1:Oh no, I guarantee he's not on there every week.
Speaker 2:Yeah, every week. Yeah, that's what I'm saying because, like he has other stuff to do, he hasn't got reality shows, he doesn't want his other stuff, but reality shows on film radios every day, though you feel those for a short period of time and then they're done until the next season yeah, until you just have to go again. But even then you care more about wrestling or you want to come reality show because they did total divas yeah they filmed that. Why people still wrestling?
Speaker 2:yeah, so I mean renee young still did her backstage interviews. Dean ambrose, when he was there, was still in the shield stuff, the old world champion yeah when he was on total divas.
Speaker 2:Uh, bellas john cena was on there and he was still doing john cena stuff and bella twins was still doing bella stuff, danielins was still doing Bella stuff, daniel Bryan was still doing Daniel Bryan stuff. So there's nothing to excuse me for that. I mean you can still do reality shows and still do that, you know. Yeah, I mean you know technically, but did you pick who you're going to?
Speaker 3:win. Aj, styles AJ.
Speaker 2:Styles AJ Styles.
Speaker 3:I want AJ.
Speaker 2:Styles to win, but I feel like Logan Paul's going to pull it out Some kind of way. I feel like Logan Paul's going to pull it off some kind of way. So, yeah, I'm going to go with Logan Paul in probably one of the better matches of the night.
Speaker 1:But yeah, I'm gonna go with Logan Paul in that one. Mm-hmm. But uh, for the fourth match on the card, it's Damian Priest versus Drew McIntyre in a Sin City Street Fight, and this one I it's bound to be a good match. I don't know if they go all the way backstage, but I know it's going to be a really good fight. I like the name, because they always do catchy names for certain places. But yeah, I think Drew McIntyre needs this win more, Because he's been on a little bit of a slump recently. You think so? Yeah, and I think this match will not boost him as much, but I think he just needs this win a lot more. But yeah, like I was saying, he needs this win a lot more. So I think he pulls it out with some crazy spot and then he wins.
Speaker 2:So you're picking Drew McIntyre Fishler Yep, drew McIntyre Mm-hmm. I don't know if I want to win this match. I mean, this feud has been going on for a year now I mean technically- Since last WrestleMania yeah. When Damian Priest cashed in Mm-hmm, so do I want Damian Priest or Drew McIntyre to win, but actually you got to think about it it was before that, because they were like attacking each other, like doing like bras and stuff, when Damian Priest still had the briefcase.
Speaker 1:Remember.
Speaker 2:That's right, because um he didn't want Damian Priest cashing in.
Speaker 3:Yeah he didn't want.
Speaker 2:Damian Priest cashing in on the weight before the belt before the WrestleMania match. It was against that for us too, wasn't it yeah? Yeah, that's all but um, I am going to go with, I'm going to go Damien Priest. I'm going to go Damien Priest, just just. Yeah, I'm going to go Damien Priest. Um yeah.
Speaker 1:I'm going to go.
Speaker 2:Damien Priest for this one Reason.
Speaker 1:Huh Reason.
Speaker 2:It's a straight fight and just the way Damien Priest, the way Damien Priest, the way Damien Priest has been, I mean the way he's been recently, with the whole fight going through and all that in the street.
Speaker 2:Yeah, just that whole persona, yeah. And so if he goes back like he's been on Honor Days, the Punishment, martinez Days, then I got Damien Priest winning. You know, if he switches to that, to that, that level, and puts that switch on, then it's going to be a long night for Drew McIntyre. It's not going to be a pretty match. It's not going to be a match of the night. This is going to be a beatdown. This is going to be a fight. You know, I don't think it's going to be a match of the night. This is going to be a fight. It's going to go with Damian Priest on this one.
Speaker 1:That's it. That's it For the next match on the card. It's Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez versus Lyra Valkyria and a mystery tag team partner, because for some reason Bayley just got scruffed from the match.
Speaker 2:Alright, before we start on this, let me go on a little rant real quick on this. We talked yesterday about Seth Rollins right, about Seth Rollins winning the match and being what's right for pro wrestling, correct and how he's always wrestling. He's always there regardless of what. He's always there no matter what.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Is that not the same? Can I say the same thing for Bayley?
Speaker 1:Yeah, you can say the same exact thing.
Speaker 2:If not more.
Speaker 1:Yeah, she's there like almost guaranteed every week, unless she's hurt.
Speaker 2:She's wrestled in every single brand that we had this year, including NXT Just this year. This year, yes, she was in NXT too this year. So NXT, raw, smackdown, ple, everything. And you don't give her a WrestleMania match. Yeah, that's weird. I mean, okay, we'll get into who we think, who we think is going to debut I think we got the same person but you don't give her a WrestleMania match. If this was the plan from the beginning, give her a match against Roxanne then why did matches get scrubbed?
Speaker 2:I mean, if you know this is the plan, you could have put anybody in there with Lyra. If they're not going to be in the match anyway, anybody could have been in that position with Lyra, if they're just not going to be in that match anyway.
Speaker 3:Somebody who?
Speaker 2:doesn't need to be in WrestleMania anyway. Anybody in that position could be Lyra's tag team partner. If all you're going to do is take them out anyway To replace them with the mystery opponent.
Speaker 2:Bayley deserves better than that. She's been a workhorse for WWE since she came to WWE. I know she's a team player. I know she's probably upset about it, but at the end of the day she's a team player. She does it the best of business. Well, just like that problem. But just like talk about Seth Rollins, just like doing what's best for business, he was the best winner for that match. I guess being punk and romerang Bailey is just like that for the women's division. She's the women's workhorse. She needs more respect for that. But to not give her a wrestlemania match, it's ridiculous. Yeah, but go ahead uh.
Speaker 1:So before I predict the match, we all oh, I don't know if we all know, but like um, who I think is gonna replace bailey? Um, I hope we have the same person, and then I just look weak, um.
Speaker 2:I don't do all three one. Becky Lynch.
Speaker 1:No, there you go, I'm glad yeah, so I think Becky Lynch is gonna replace Bailey right here, and I think Lyra and Becky pick up the win against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodgers. Yep.
Speaker 2:I mean, obviously, they're both from the same place, they both trained in the same place. They both were trained by Finn Balor. It's obvious what this is going to be.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we know what this is going to be.
Speaker 2:She was backstage when Seth won yesterday. She was yeah, she was backstage, they posted it. She was backstage the day when they won. She was backstage, Of course. She was at Hall of Fame with Seth.
Speaker 3:Rollins yeah.
Speaker 2:So okay, she's coming back. Cool, nothing against it. Becky Lynch is a good wrestler, but you shouldn't take away Banshee's spot to put Becky.
Speaker 1:Lynch in that spot, especially like I would understand if it's like a person like way lower than Becky Lynch, but like they're like right, like right there.
Speaker 2:They're part of Four Horsewomen.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:With Charlotte and Sasha, aka Mercedes.
Speaker 1:It's debatable whether like Bailey's better than Becky Lynch like if they're not on the same level.
Speaker 2:That's the thing. They're all. Four the four. Four horse women. Yeah, they're all on the same level. Four horse women when you got one horse woman replacing the other. It's not fair, yeah you know, I mean that's, not that's not right bailey was just world champion. Yeah, he was just world champion before. Was the tiffany cashed in on her?
Speaker 1:uh was it.
Speaker 2:It was not a jacks remember she won Nia Jax, so Nia Jax, Nia Jax beat her. So come on now. I mean she was just world champion. She won last year at WrestleMania. She won a world championship.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And this year she's not even on WrestleMania.
Speaker 3:Yeah that's crazy.
Speaker 2:Everybody who was in a world championship match last year was in WrestleMania this year, except her. What's interesting is she was separate. Is that accurate? Cody versus Roman Reigns?
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Right Seth Rollins versus Drew McIntyre.
Speaker 3:Yeah, right.
Speaker 2:Yeah Yo, sky versus Bayley.
Speaker 3:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:And what was the other?
Speaker 3:women's match oh shoot.
Speaker 2:Was it.
Speaker 1:Bianca. I don't know, I can't think of who it was right now. Wait, what's the other championship? Oh, it was Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley.
Speaker 2:There you go, and if Becky Lynch shows up tonight, every single person that was in the championship match last year is going to be herself baby.
Speaker 1:And it even applies to Becky Lynch now.
Speaker 2:Exactly if she shows up, which we're pretty sure she's going to show up.
Speaker 1:It's like who else if it's not Bayley?
Speaker 2:I mean it makes sense that she shows up. They're both from the same place, they both grew up together Same wrestling school, finn Balor them, I think both of them. So it makes sense, but the disrespect for Bayley though, but with that being said, I got Lyra and, I'm assuming, becky Lynch for the win against Raquel and Devin Morgan.
Speaker 1:And in the next match on the card it's another misplaced person. It's Randy Orton calling out someone. And in the next match on the card it's another mistake person. It's right during calling out someone in an open challenge. Um, okay, so, um, I don't know if we have the same person on this one probably not um, but uh, you want, can I say mine? Yeah, go ahead uh, I think that it's gonna be Nick Aldis that accepts the open challenge.
Speaker 2:That's what I think too, but I just don't know, because he should have already announced it.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I don't know, but go ahead, I'm going to go ahead.
Speaker 1:I think it's either Nick Aldis or Soul Sahola.
Speaker 2:Soul Sahola, that's. That wouldn't be a good. The fans will boo that. Yeah, if they was going to do that, they would already announce it. That way, the fans wouldn't get their hopes up.
Speaker 1:And then I bet when Randy comes out, everybody's going to say Nick Aldis, Nick Aldis, and then, if Solosakoa, it's just going to kill the crowd.
Speaker 2:Exactly so. If Solo's cool, it's just gonna kill the crowd. Exactly so. If you're gonna do that, you should already have announced it beforehand.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And have an open challenge. Either it's gonna be the surprise or someone's coming back.
Speaker 1:It has to be Nick Aldis or the fans just not gonna like this, but either way, solo Nick Aldis, really anybody except, uh, alistair, black and rusev, if they alistair black's not debuting until next week. They already said oh yeah, they already did, but like rusev. They they haven't announced his comeback could be him yeah, but like, unless it's rusev, I don't see a way to do it and losing, so I'm picking wayne, whoever comes out they're not gonna lose, especially nick aldis, because he doesn't need to win.
Speaker 2:He's just doing it for if Nick Aldis comes out, he's doing it for the love of pro wrestling but Randy Orton wins no matter what, but I'm predicting that it's Nick Aldis that comes up. I'm kind of conflicted between I want to see Nick Aldis and Randy Orton.
Speaker 3:I just want to see Nick Aldis and Randy Orton.
Speaker 2:I just want to see a match. I mean, nick Aldis can still go, he's not that old. I want to see Nick Aldis go. He was just NWA world champ before he came to WWE. Not that long before that he lost his belt. But he was NWA world champion not too long before he came to WWE. But yeah, nick Aldis or Rusev I don't see anybody else, I besides them two.
Speaker 1:Like I said.
Speaker 2:Aleister Black no, because he's debuting.
Speaker 1:You don't see Solo Sokoa though.
Speaker 2:No, because the fans would boo that match, because that would be a swerve, that would be a slap in the face of the fans, because if that was the case, you should already have made that match when Solo came back the last time, when Randy was talking. You should have made that match back then. You should have already announced it then. But the fact you didn't announce it means that you're not sure. Yeah, which that's what. I don't think he's going to be solo, because if it was solo, then you should have already announced it then. Mm-hmm, but the fact you didn't means that you know.
Speaker 3:So that's why I got Nick Aldridge for Rusev.
Speaker 2:But I'm leaning more toward Nick Aldridge. Yeah, just cause Rusev is just now coming back and he gonna start off his first match back as a loss yeah, I don't think it should be Rusev cuz I don't want him to lose his first match, but because Kevin Owens got hurt, that could be Sami Zayn coming back for his best friend.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean not his best friend, you know. I mean they own it all. But you know it could be Sami Zayn coming back, which is a popular crowd too, cause he ain't been back in how long since Sami Zayn's been there? Been a while.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So Sami Zayn could come. So I don't know. But yeah, I'm leaning toward Nick also.
Speaker 1:I want to see the college, but after they go but you agree, they're ready yes, right originally, whoever it is but uh, yeah, for the yes we go see for the main event. It's Cody Rose versus John Cena for the undisputed WWE Championship. And well, this has had an amazing build.
Speaker 2:Hold on before you get started on that, before we get started on that real quick, another little thing I just thought about why is no female mid-card belt being defended at WrestleMania?
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's a fair point, Because, like, why is Lyra in a tag team match?
Speaker 2:Exactly.
Speaker 1:And Chelsea Green, like goes, like, okay, okay. Because like, why is lyra in a tag team match actually? And chelsea green. And like because like okay, okay, it's not that the women don't deserve to be on wrestlemania. Because like, but like the type the titles just like just haven't been, like, like just built up well, like at all, like no, not these titles, um, uh, the uh, the Midcard titles.
Speaker 2:Which is not been Lara and um Chelsea.
Speaker 1:Yeah, this has not been built up. Yeah, like they both have. Uh, chelsea Green has a good character, uh, but yeah, but she doesn't really like defend the title all that much, and Lara just has to have.
Speaker 2:I mean, I don't know why, at least put him on a pre-show yeah, it should be on at least a pre-show when wrestling it was one night, you had a pre-show. Now it's two nights. You can have one match on a pre-show yeah, I think Chelsea Green and Zelina Vega.
Speaker 1:If there was a pre-show, I think they should be on it.
Speaker 2:You can put that on a pre-show. At least have them defend it on a pre-show oh, another thing I just remembered.
Speaker 1:Why do you remember something? Why is that tag team match TLC, by the way, next week.
Speaker 2:And not on WrestleMania. There was like an awe when Nick Aldis said next week Because they had the perfect setup for it.
Speaker 1:It was just right there they just let it go.
Speaker 2:It was right there for it just, they just let it go yep, it was right there for and they blew it they could have a TLC match with all the tag teams involved, mhm, and there would have been a, and Manchester Sports always does good in those kind of matches yeah like that will probably be the best match of the week, probably mhm.
Speaker 2:But yeah, I'll have to say real quick, yeah, you got the. The women's. What is she? Intercontinental champion, intercontinental champion going after the tag team championship, and she's gonna be a double champion, based on what we predicted, because she's gonna have a tag team championship as well why would she even want that?
Speaker 1:why would?
Speaker 2:she want that, unless Becky turns on her and goes after the Intercontinental Championship and calls her to match. Just thought about that myself. Just thought about that.
Speaker 1:You going to change your prediction? Hmm, yeah, I'm going to change it.
Speaker 2:I'm going to change it. Yeah, I'm going to change it. I'm going to change it to Rhea, not Rhea. Liv Morgan and Raquel.
Speaker 1:For that reason.
Speaker 2:Yep, for that reason alone. And that will cause there's no way they're gonna put two belts on Lyra. I just thought, but there's no way they're gonna put two belts on Lyra.
Speaker 1:How come?
Speaker 2:She has the pinball belts. They're not gonna do that. There's no way they really put two bills on people because they're hard to defend both of them yeah so there has to be a reason why they're doing this. They're probably going to do that. They're gonna. They're gonna make that. She's gonna come back self. Just turn heel, boom, make that turn seal, she ain't been a little while, if ever she has.
Speaker 2:It's been a while, yeah, but she comes back, she turns heel on Lara Challenges for the intercontinental championship. Backlashes. There you go, yeah, but yeah, the fact that they're not defending their belts at WrestleMania, come on now, that's just ridiculous. None of them, neither one of them, but anyways, sorry.
Speaker 1:Back to the main event. But like I was saying, um, this has been like an amazing build so far and um, yep, uh with the promos.
Speaker 2:The promos have been amazing cody rose actually stuck with john cena a lot yeah, like everybody thought he was gonna get buried I was scared for calling for a second there he, but he held his own like yeah and all the promos.
Speaker 1:Like john cena like goes into it a little bit and then cody rose just comes back yeah, it was a couple, it was one, that promo.
Speaker 2:When johnson's on my barrier I said oh boy, here we go, and then, but call you, held his own in that one and I was. I was surprised, because usually that's when, that's when john cena buries you yeah like he did, roman reigns so was thekoa Austin Theory.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he does the derby, all those people, it's not.
Speaker 2:John Cena's fault. It's just he's just testing them. Yeah, If you want to be a main guy, you got to know how to talk on the microphone. Point blank period.
Speaker 1:And he almost did it to Roman Reigns twice.
Speaker 2:Yep.
Speaker 1:He did. When did he do?
Speaker 2:that when he called the Rock out for having a promo reel in his hand.
Speaker 1:Oh, yep, but yeah, I think John Cena wins, with the help of the Rock and Seth Rollins and Paul.
Speaker 2:Heyman Yep, that's a good one. That's a good one there Trying to get bonus points. I see what you're doing there, but yeah, yeah, that's a good one, anything else?
Speaker 1:Nope, I definitely see John Cena winning.
Speaker 2:Of course, I think John Cena wins Greatest record 17th time world champion. This is last year. Um, this is last year. This is last WrestleMania.
Speaker 1:Anyways, yeah, um cause if not, if not now, when?
Speaker 2:wait, this is it. This is last chance. Yeah, cause he doesn't have another chance to win.
Speaker 1:I mean he does where, when else?
Speaker 2:SummerSlam maybe he doesn't have another chance. When does he have a rematch? Oh yeah, he has no need to get a rematch. But what can he? Because he put it. I think he lost the right wrong. Today was so yeah, he put himself in the elimination chamber.
Speaker 1:He didn't qualify for that yeah, oh yeah, that is fair so well, how else can he go after this?
Speaker 2:he can't put it. What are you gonna do next?
Speaker 1:put himself in the summer slam how because he's aligned with with the wrong it works, robin it.
Speaker 2:I have no idea but um, but yeah, so I don't know, I guess. Um, yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go John Cena as well, but it's tough.
Speaker 1:Rollins gonna help out John Cena because Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman are already together. So if they, if they put them in cells with the rock, I would just be a super power yeah, I'm thinking about what Seth Rollins has been saying about Roman Reigns and CM Punk.
Speaker 2:You see, what I'm saying.
Speaker 3:I'm not saying it doesn't work.
Speaker 2:He might not have been all that, he could have just been saying that and he could have been delusional. He could say that and not actually mean that stuff. But I don't know that he could. He could side with John Cena for the betterment, because he can now he could be like John Cena, be like last year. You know, he helped Cody Rose out and Cody Rose didn't do a good job of holding the belt yeah, now he doesn't need the belt. John Cena is a better champion and think about it.
Speaker 1:think about this for a second. Seth Rollins helped Cody Rose win the title, but never got a match for the title, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:Cody Rose didn't look his way.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Like after he did WrestleMania, he didn't even do anything. Actually, he sided with Roman Reigns, which is the entire point that Seth Rollins helped Cody Rose out.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, that could be the reason. Right there he sided with Roman Reigns. That's right. Taking that never. That can do it. You're right, I forgot about that. He did. Siren running had a tag team match.
Speaker 1:And that could have been Seth Rollins. Yep it should be and um, but yeah, that's why I think that he turns on Cody. I think he runs out to the whatnot, but it's not Because I was.
Speaker 1:I was gonna predict that he runs out to the ring like a baby face and then about to stomp uh cena and then stomp uh cody rose, but then he can't do that anymore because they're just gonna expect it. So I just think, I don't know. I think he just like slides in the ring and like nobody noticed it and then stomps Cody Rose.
Speaker 2:Referee gets knocked out or something like that.
Speaker 1:The referee doesn't have to get knocked out. I mean, it's the Rock. The Rock can just fire the referee, just like that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but it's still a one-man match, though you still didn't get disqualified.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but they didn't get disqualified at WrestleMania 4. You and the Rock pulled out the Ref like five times.
Speaker 2:Like hit the Ref I think I don't know, we'll see. We'll see how it goes.
Speaker 1:I mean the Rock can do basically anything If the Rock comes.
Speaker 2:We haven't seen the Rock since the mission chamber.
Speaker 1:I mean he has to right we haven't seen him since the mission chamber.
Speaker 2:I mean, you would think he would be there, but I haven't seen him.
Speaker 1:So I mean, everything was something yeah but uh, so you're thinking John Cena yep, I'm thinking John Cena, with the help of the rock.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, I'm also thinking John Cena like this bill has been amazing, though. Uh, you know John Cena's last year of wrestling. I don't know if it's going to be last year of wrestling period, like a thing, or his last year of wrestling full time like a Bryan Danielson. I don't know which one he's going to do.
Speaker 3:The way it sounds.
Speaker 2:He's done it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, because Ric Flair didn't do that, but I think John Cena is serious about it. Well, it sounds like he wants done.
Speaker 2:yeah, I was like Ric Flair didn't do that, but I think John Cena is serious about well, it sounds like he wants to do what the rock did, like he's already guys on TV show he does.
Speaker 1:Oh, I didn't know there's a separate those like.
Speaker 2:So this nice boy oh yeah, don't TV show like season 2 or 3 now, but um, but yeah guys on TV show in movies. So I think he's going to transition to like full-time Hollywood, like the Rock did, yeah he's actually in a couple games too. Exactly so. He wants to do that full-time, and so he wants to do that. But then Willie Dover from coming back, he's gonna go into Hall of Fame.
Speaker 1:Oh, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2:So he's gonna come back to the Hall of Fame eventually, but the Ross is not in the Hall of Fame, eddie.
Speaker 1:Dang, I didn't even realize that. So Nah, he should get inducted tomorrow.
Speaker 2:Well, it's rocking the Hall of Fame. It's rocking the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 1:No. I don't think so, because when he gets announced they don't say Hall of Fame, because they said Booker T, two-time Hall of Famer, and now they say Triple H Hall of Famer.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Triple H is a two-time Hall of Famer as well.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah for. Dx and.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yes, I don't know if John Cena's going to be gone full-time, full-time, or he's just going to be gone just part-time like a Bryan Danielson, but regardless of what it is, he gave us a good 20 years. I've been watching him since day one, since the first time he debuted against Kurt Angle with Rufus.
Speaker 1:Aggression dang, that's crazy. I didn't know.
Speaker 2:I mean, didn't know who he was, didn't know he was going to be this, 20 years later you didn't know John Cena was going to be John Cena, no, nobody did, nobody did. If you say you knew he was going to be world champion, you're not telling the truth. There's no way.
Speaker 1:He's going to be the luckiest person in the world to say that.
Speaker 2:Is that just like if you saw Stardust, you would say he'd be world champion? Absolutely not. No way, there's no way you saw Stardust wrestling and say that's going to be a future world champion.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, there's no way, absolutely not.
Speaker 2:I don't think that was on anybody's bingo card. It wasn't. It was not, absolutely not. So to see those two guys close out WrestleMania, cody used to be Stardust, which that was a hard game. That was a hard game.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah. That was hard, especially to get over too, but he was kind of over though he was, but it wasn't gonna go. Yeah, it wasn't like, like, even if you get like over, like they will, yeah it's like go with us brother. You know his brother, dustin like what's the biggest accomplishment he did when the tag team, but he wanted. I think I understand him but yeah, the big wolf, like that's what I'm saying, but that's.
Speaker 2:That's about how's your whole big car? You're not going higher than that yeah well, you have to leave. I mean, he was making me, you know, make get mad at him for leaving, going aw, but he had to leave in order to get to the next level yeah, because if he didn't go to aw and all those other places, where would he be now? Exactly he had to go and get to the next level. He had to.
Speaker 1:So he might have been at the spot alone, that, oh, or like someone like otis, just like a dead gimmick. Just like a dead gimmick, you know yeah, but that's.
Speaker 2:That's basically what you have to do, though. You have to go to the next level, and when you did that, he came back. Yeah, he had to step away. Sometimes you gotta leave somewhere in order to get to the next step.
Speaker 2:It's hard work sometimes, you know, in life, sometimes you gotta step away in order to get where you wanna go, to get to. You know, sometimes you feel like you might be stagnant sometimes and you gotta step away or move, change pace, change something to get to the next one. You know, to get to the next one, you know, step out on a limb and then do something different.
Speaker 1:So that's what Kobe did.
Speaker 2:He built himself. So far it's paid off. You know John Cena. When he turned to the doctor of economics, boom Instantly changed. Spinnerbilt came. Then he became world champion. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Now it's John Cena, one of the greatest of all time, if not the greatest. You know who you talk to yeah getting ready to break rick flair's record for most championships in history 17. Well, 16 of rick flair tied right now 16.
Speaker 2:You could have 17 by the end of the night, yeah, so but yeah, john cena so far is what I'm gonna to go with when, like I said, seth Rollins possibly involved in the match. But yeah, so far this has been a well wrestling night. One is pretty good. Second half was good. First half seemed like a raw episode wrestling night one the second half felt like raw.
Speaker 1:No, first half, oh, I was night one.
Speaker 2:The second half felt like a Raw. No first half.
Speaker 1:Oh, I was about to say the second half.
Speaker 2:Second half was good. First half seemed like a Raw yeah, a Raw Raw Plus almost Like it was like a super version of Raw.
Speaker 3:Like Raw on Netflix kind of.
Speaker 2:Like a Raw yeah, like Raw on Netflix, like a bigger version of Raw. But then second half got good.
Speaker 1:Especially main, bigger version of Raw. But then second half got good, especially main event, you know.
Speaker 2:But the main event, like it's like, it's like a five star for me.
Speaker 1:The main event say WrestleMania night one that's for sure, you think so for sure, I mean, it would just, it would just been a regular PLE yeah, I think it would be like like I think it was like a, b minus, and then the main event made it maybe like maybe an A yeah, I mean, like I said, night one.
Speaker 2:The main event saved it with Paul Heyman doing the double turn. I think.
Speaker 1:I think if you look back on like it, like in a, like a, like a couple of years or like down the line somewhere, if you look back on WrestleMania 41, night one, it'll be remembered for the main thing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, like I said, paul Heyman doing the double turn, sliding the chair to CM Punk, low blowing to him. Roman Reigns thinking oh, I got your back, we're good. I'm giving the chair to Roman Reigns, letting Roman Reigns beat up CM Punk it was kind of weird, though.
Speaker 1:Cuz like Paul Heyman just like followed Roman Reigns like right behind him. Is that not suspicious?
Speaker 2:No, he didn't.
Speaker 1:He was like right across from him.
Speaker 2:But what I noticed though I don't know if you picked up on it, I let the replay again today, when he low-blowed CM Punk, he was almost crying a little bit right.
Speaker 1:He was.
Speaker 2:Well, he was upset, remember he was like. He was like you made me do. I'm sorry, sorry, you know, kind of like that yeah when he loved those rubber rings, he didn't have any emotion yeah, you know what I'm talking about, you notice that I didn't notice that yes, I don't know if that anything, if he was, if that was I I, I know, I thought those tears were like angry tears yeah.
Speaker 2:So, but yeah, I'm curious to see what happens. If they're going to be on Raw on Monday, they should be on Raw on Monday, after Raw, after Raw.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, they have to be. Especially Seth Rollins' entire like thing is he's the workhorse.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly he should. If he's not on Raw on Monday, then everything he said is not true. Yeah, just interdisc Exactly Everything he said makes him a hypocrite. But yeah, Ready to see night two. Let's get ready to see night two and close this year's WrestleMania. Out and get ready for Backlash.
Speaker 1:Backlash is probably going to be good.
Speaker 2:Anything else? Nope, that's it. Yep, all right. Probably gonna be good. Nope, yep, all right. So I'm being I'm back with episode of tag team talk.
