Speaker 1:Ben, I'm Bash. It's time to let's ship your boots and hit them out with the Ben and Bash Podcast Tag Team Talk.
Speaker 2:All right, here we are for another one. Today we're going to be doing the predictions for money in the bank, as usual, predictions who we think are going to win, storylines. We might be talking about who they're going to cash in on potentially all that. We're not going to be doing a Worlds Collide today mainly because we haven't really watched a lot of AAA. I watched a little bit of it, but we're not 100% familiar with all the people from AAA, so we can't really give you an honest breakdown of the matches you know to really get you good predictions. So we're just going to watch it and enjoy it like everybody else is. But yeah, let's get to it.
Speaker 1:All right, for the first match on the card, it's Lyra Valkyrie versus Becky Lynch. But there's a bunch of stipulations on this match. If Becky Lynch loses, she can't challenge for the belt anymore, while Lyra has the belt. And if Lyra loses she has to raise her hand and she has to raise Becky's hand and admit that Becky's a better wrestler, or better female or women's wrestler. Uh, but and this is for the Intercontinental Women's Championship so for this one, I think Becky Lynch. I think she would win, because I think the storyline is going to go further than this, because I think also Bayley could come out, which is the thing that could make Lyra win. But I think Becky wins to keep this feud going.
Speaker 2:That's what you got, is it? You think Becky wins? No, I'm halfway there with you. I was there when you said Bayley, and then after that you lost me. So I think Bayley's going to come out interfering in the match, but I think she's going to help Lara win. Remember, becky is the one who attacked Bayley. That's what Becky said. She attacked Bayley and then took her spot at WrestleMania. So we haven't seen Bayley since WrestleMania.
Speaker 2:So this would be the perfect time for Bayley to come back interfering in the match and then that would start and since Becky can't challenge for the belt anymore, that would start a feud with Becky and Bayley and that feud doesn't really need a belt involved. That's one of the matches that just has history where you don't really need a belt to sell that feud and that can leave Lyra open to. Actually, becky doesn't need to be in that title picture. You can put other women in that title picture against Lyra. There's a bunch of other women in WWE that can be in the Intercontinental Champion or mid-card, whatever you want to call it. Take Becky out of that. Put her that can be in the Intercontinental Champion or mid-card, whatever you want to call it, you know. You know. Take Becky out of that, put her against Bayley, have them feud for a little while.
Speaker 2:I mean, summerslam is coming up here soon. That'd be something good for both of them, since neither one of them are going to be in the world title picture right now. So, yeah, I'm going to go with Lyra winning with the help of Bayley. Becky can't challenge for the Intercontinental belt anymore as long as Lyra has it. That leaves Lyra open to going against somebody else, another female. I'm not sure who that's going to be, but it can be anybody, because there's a bunch of female wrestlers who need opportunities. There's a bunch of them on TV. There's a bunch of them in WWE who's not on TV right now, who could be in that title picture.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:That's what the whole Intercontinental Women's Championship was made for. It wasn't made for Becky Lynch.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:It was made for people like Lara and you know then.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think they're giving the mid-card belts to people who like need it Because given the belt, the the mid-card belts to people who like need it because, like zelina vega, chelsea green and liar valkyria, with people who probably weren't going to the main event scene, just quite even, and even with the people who's challenged for the belt so far.
Speaker 2:Yeah, um, with um meechin and people like that. You know people like that who don't really be on tv much. They've even challenged for the belt. I mean, even even if they don't win it, it's good to have challengers and a storyline for them. You know which?
Speaker 1:I think it's beef, that beef and challenge.
Speaker 2:Exactly, I mean those off-topic, even with Julia. That's giving her something to do. We see that's going to be, that's going's, that's what looks like it's going with me. I'm gonna pick laura, like that, so she can go and have a few with somebody else. They can go ahead and have that, because I mean, what's the point of becky attacking bailey if you're not gonna do anything with that?
Speaker 2:yeah, what's the point of it. No point, if you're not gonna do it, I mean unless you. Just I mean I don't know, let's, I don't know you. If you're not going to do it, I mean unless you. Just I mean I don't know, I don't know. If you're going to say you attack somebody, then go ahead and do something with it, right, so why not? So that should be an excuse for both of them. Like I said, have Lara, challenge somebody, somebody, I'm not sure who, and then have Becky and Bayley. But yeah, that's all I got for that.
Speaker 1:Yep, all right, that's all I have for that too. Next match on the card it's Alexa Bliss versus Roxanne Perez versus Rhea Ripley versus Julia versus Naomi versus Stephanie Valkyr for Valkyr, for the women's money In the women's money in the bank match, and for this one it's really good Because you can really see I can really see, anyways Every person in this match winning. But yeah, and you can't really see that With some of the matches, some of the money in the bank matches From last year any or any years.
Speaker 2:Sometimes you can tell like, okay, one or two of these women aren't winning. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, some of them. You can't, you can, you can pretty much. Just you can almost bet on like they're not, they're not gonna win this match or you could just see one person winning and nobody else or I'm gonna say, or you start one or two people. I already know they're not going to win this match. I can already scratch them out sometimes. This one I'll make it feel like any one of these six women can win.
Speaker 1:But I think the favorites are Alexa Bliss, rhea Ripley and Naomi.
Speaker 2:The three veterans.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think that's who's probably gonna win if I were to bet on this. But cause Rhea Ripley. If she wins, molly, the Bank is gonna sell like absolutely like wildfire. So like I also see her as the contender, but also I don't know, because she doesn't really need it at all.
Speaker 2:But she didn't, but why not? I mean, cm Punk won it, he didn't need it, but he won it twice. Brock Lesnar won it, he didn't need it yeah so I mean people who have won it before and didn't need it.
Speaker 1:So but, I mean go ahead, let's finish that but um, yeah, so uh, I probably have naomi winning, because I want her to win and I think she's gonna win, and yeah, that's what I think is gonna happen happen.
Speaker 2:Yeah, this is a tough one. I mean, there's three veterans. I'm not going to call the other ones rookies, because Stephanie and Julia are far from rookies. They're newcomers to WWE but both of them have been wrestling for a long time Julia in Japan and Stardom, and Stephanie Stardom and AAA and pretty much all over the world and AEW and all that. But I don't see Julia winning because it's like she's going out there. Ninth State Championship with Selena Vega. Naomi I want Naomi to win, but I just don't know, with Jade and Bianca out there right now, with them two out there, I want Naomi to win. That's who I want to win, but I just don't know if Jade and Bianca are going to play a part in this, because there's no rules in this match. They could easily come out especially what we saw on SmackDown the other day, not knowing what they're going to do. Rhea obviously she's the favorite in the match. Alexa she just came back from being off for a year or two years, almost.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Obviously she's a fan favorite. She's been a fan from being off for a year two years almost. Yeah, um, obviously she's a fan favorite. It's been a fan favorite since day one. Uh, but um, yeah, I.
Speaker 1:I like Naomi to win, I mean her her character development.
Speaker 2:Especially with this new character, she has top tier, you know, I mean her. And I know we're not talking about it right now, but her and Toni Storm are probably the two best characters right now in wrestling by far.
Speaker 1:You know what I just noticed?
Speaker 2:Wait has Alyssa.
Speaker 1:Busser won the Money in the Bank. I want to say yeah, I feel like she has. I feel like she has.
Speaker 2:I don't have to look it up and see.
Speaker 1:I want to feel like she has, if she hasn't. Nobody in this match has ever had the Money in the Bank briefcase, so this would, if Alexa Bliss hasn't won it.
Speaker 3:You're right.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that's very uncommon for Money in the Bank matches.
Speaker 2:At least one person's won it.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:As opposed to the guys' match Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:But yeah, so yeah, but I still think Naomi's going, but we're going to see yeah, I'm leaning toward Naomi too.
Speaker 2:I just hope Bianca and Jay doesn't get involved. I hope they get involved afterwards, like when Naomi tries to cash in and they get involved. You know what I?
Speaker 1:mean yeah, but if they do that, I hope they don't do the Drew McIntyre route, you know, as they did last year.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's what I hope. I'm hoping, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:I also heard that the Money in the Bank prop Triple H doesn't like it, so I think that's why he threw it away last year. I've also heard that he doesn't really like the money he doesn't really like the money.
Speaker 2:Oh, the actual briefcase yeah.
Speaker 1:No, he doesn't like the prop of the Money Bank briefcase. I don't know why, but that's what do you?
Speaker 2:mean the prop.
Speaker 1:Like just having the money of the briefcase as a whole.
Speaker 2:How did he throw it away last year?
Speaker 1:Like through McIntyre Remember.
Speaker 2:What did he do?
Speaker 1:He just cashed in and then Sam Punk ran him down. But then I heard Triple H doesn't like the Money in the Bank prop.
Speaker 2:So I don't know. I mean we'll see. I mean they're still using it. I mean Tiffany had it. What they have been doing is customizing it, though remember, tiffany changed it to the pink. Damien Priest changed to the Judgment Day colors seeing your Money in the Bank. So whoever wins, it seems like they're going have. I'm sure if naomi wins, it's gonna be a precaution tape around it, you know. If rio wins it's gonna be. You know, mommy in the bank, alexa wins it's gonna be.
Speaker 1:You know, fiend related type of stuff I don't think anybody else will have anything I'm sure the other ones, if they win, but I don't see that.
Speaker 2:I don't see any of the newcomers winning it, unless I mean stephanie could win it yeah, but I don't.
Speaker 1:I don't know if she customized the briefcase she could.
Speaker 2:But I just don't see the new newcomers winning it, just because they're they're brand new. I mean, tiffany won it yeah but she had been on the roster for longer than a month or two. You know she'd be on the roster but close to a year, at that point in time.
Speaker 1:No, no, I don't think so.
Speaker 2:Well, she's been a little bit, a little bit of time, hasn't she before she? She was there. She was not just for a little while, wasn't she?
Speaker 1:she was not jacks when she, when she won the money in the bank she moved up to the main roster like right after she lost right to betty lynch yeah or did she know?
Speaker 2:some around there, then she was not jack anyways. So, yeah, I got Naomi winning. Um, yeah, I got Naomi winning and I'm not sure who's gonna cash in on, cuz I see I see Bianca and or Jade interfering every time she tries to cash in, at least for right now, you know. But yeah, that's what I got for that Naomi.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:She deserves that.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm, but for the next match on the card, it's Cody Rose and Jey Uso against John Cena and Logan Paul, and for this one I don't know. I feel like it could go either way, but considering that Jey Uso has a championship match, what in like a Monday Night Raw against Gunther, especially someone the caliber of Gunther?
Speaker 2:See this Monday or next Monday, I can't remember. But yeah it's pretty close yeah.
Speaker 1:No, yeah, it's this Monday. It's this Monday Because they talked about it on SmackDown, but yeah, so I don't see Jey losing. And I also don't see Cody losing, because I think he's going to wrestle John Cena, maybe later in the year or at SummerSlam In a one-on-one match, and Logan Paul I mean, I don't even know what he's going to be doing, because he could have a three-line program and then just go off somewhere else Because I don't know. But so I see Cody Rose and Jey Uso winning and they're probably not pinning John Cena yeah, I don't.
Speaker 2:John Cena's not getting pinned in that match, but here's the thing, though is Cody?
Speaker 1:oh, I know what you're. I already know what you're going to say. Is Cody going to turn on Jey?
Speaker 2:because he's been looking at that belt for a minute, you know. I mean, is he done with cena and gonna turn toward jay, maybe? Yeah I don't know, I don't know. I mean, I don't know, maybe I don't, but we'll see. This is, this, is not I don't know. Man, this this kind of got thrown together kind of quick right here, so I don't even know what this one they haven't really. They're engaged a little bit, but they've been kind of fighting with each other more so than talking.
Speaker 1:And also I've heard people say that Logan Paul or John Cena are going to turn on each other. But if John Cena turns it's going to be like a babyface turn and if Logan Paul turns it's going to be a heel turn.
Speaker 2:So either way, they're not going to turn on each other because they're both heels, so they're not going to turn on each other.
Speaker 1:I mean, aren't Jay and Cody still though? Yeah?
Speaker 2:they're both. They're both faces, but if one of them turns they're going to be heel.
Speaker 3:That's what I'm saying If Cody turns he's going to be heel.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because he's frustrated, but I don't know, for the sake of John Cena being heel, they're going to win.
Speaker 3:Do you think so?
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think Cena and Logan Paul's going to win. Yeah, yeah, cena and Logan Paul is going to win, I think.
Speaker 3:Uh-huh.
Speaker 2:Yeah, keep the heat going on, cena.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I have Cody and G, and for the next match on the card is Solo Sokoa. Well, first it's the man's money, the big match, and it consists of Solo Sokoa, la Knight, penta, seth Rollins, andrade and El Grande Americano. So I feel like you could eliminate some of the people in this match.
Speaker 2:Can you though?
Speaker 1:No offense, I don't think Andrade is going to win.
Speaker 2:He's a type of good winner though. Yeah, he's the one that would win. Jorday is going to win.
Speaker 1:He's the type that could win, though. Yeah, he's the one that would win, Mm-hmm, I think. But I don't think Solo's going to win because I think Jacob's going to run down costing the match. I don't think El Grande's going to win.
Speaker 2:But Solo would be fun with it, though he would be good with it, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he would be a good winner, though is what I've seen la night during la. It'd be a good pop, but you don't think so I was gonna be my pick for a second I don't know I was thinking. I was thinking either la night or seth rollins yeah, I'll go.
Speaker 2:I'll tell you why in a minute, but go ahead, go ahead here all right.
Speaker 1:So I don't think el grande is gonna win. I don't think uh and's gonna win. I think it's between Solo LA Knight, seth Rollins and Penta. So I might say LA Knight because it's in his hometown, but I don't know. Yeah, I'm gonna say LA Knight, la Knight.
Speaker 2:Okay, so three letters late night, late night, okay, so uh, three letters wait, no, what are you doing? Three letters. What are you doing?
Speaker 1:one person, otc uh and attacks Seth Rollins they've been talking about him.
Speaker 2:He mentioned him by name and they and they've said no, they've been saying nobody can stop and. They've said no, they've been saying nobody can stop them. They've said that multiple times, nobody can stop them. Seth Rollins has mentioned him by name multiple times.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Really he's not coming. He's just not going to show up.
Speaker 1:I mean, that is what Roman Reigns is going to do.
Speaker 2:Exactly. He's not going to show up, seth Rollins is going to cash in, seth Rollins is going to get the Money in the Bank briefcase and Roman Reigns is not going to do anything about it.

Speaker 2:So El Grande should not win. It's going to be somebody like that 2.0, where you're just not a good money in the bank. Winner Andrade can win. It can knock him up to the next level. Penta same way Solo. He's already doing good character work already. It's gonna knock him up. Um Solo same way. Um, who'd you pick?
Speaker 1:uh, I picked um uh LA Knight.
Speaker 2:I don't really like him, like that dang but no one's talking about LA. I'm talking about what I want to pick. Solo is who I'm leaning towards. It's because of the way it's looking with the whole Jacob stuff, but I think him and Jacob are going to feud. The way it looks, they're leaning toward him and Jacob. The way it looks at SummerSlam.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that feud shouldn't have the money to make it.
Speaker 2:No, that's why I don't want to pick Solo, but he would be great with the Money in the Bank.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, definitely, but he would probably cash in on Jacob.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:At least try to.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but it looks like he's gonna like him and Jacob are gonna feud at SummerSlam, so he can't pick him, but he could and still feud Jacob. But I'm gonna go with a wild card here, because Jacob is gonna have Solo, seth is gonna have. Solo Seth is gonna be dealing with Roman LA Knight.
Speaker 1:No it's in LA he didn't have.
Speaker 3:Yeah, russ May was in LA too, he didn't have a match so it's WWE, though we know how they feel about hometown people.
Speaker 2:But, um, andrade, I'm going to go with Andrade winning.
Speaker 1:I'm going to go with Andrade winning um, I don't know if I'm just imagining things, but I feel like you picked Andrade to win the money to make briefcase maybe I have. I think you have I don't know what year, but I think you've already picked him to win.
Speaker 2:I might have picked him before, a couple years ago, but I'm picking him again. This time he's going to win. So yeah, I'm going to draw you this time. He's going to win this time. But yeah, that's what I got.
Speaker 1:I'm going to draw you. Yeah, but you predicted him to win one year. I forgot. I disagree with that. I think LA Knight's going. We'll see.
