Speaker 2All right , here we are for another one . We are going to be reviewing SummerSlam Night 1 . So yeah , interesting things going on with it . So , yeah , let's get to it All right .
Speaker 1for the first match on night one of SummerSlam , it's Sami Zayn versus Karrion Kross . And the stipulation is if Sami Zayn loses , he has to admit that Kross is right . And then does Karrion Kross have that same thing , but he has to say he's wrong about Sami .
Speaker 2He has to say he's wrong about Sami if he loses yeah .
Speaker 1But so I feel like they would have Sami Zayn win , because I think the story here is next WrestleMania . He's going to have either a title shot .
Speaker 2No , he's going to have a title shot . That's so far away , though he could still lose and still build later on .
Speaker 1Yeah , but it's like Sami Zayn and like Karrion Kross had like a little build but like I mean fans were cheering for him Huh .
Speaker 2Fans were cheering for him .
Speaker 1But like beating Sami Zayn is like strapping a rocket to him Exactly . I don't think they're going to do that , so early , you don't know that .
Speaker 2I mean fans were cheering for him , we won't cross and all that kind . Get done with yours .
Speaker 1I mean , I just personally don't see them letting Karrion Kross beat Sami Zayn , especially on this type of thing . People won't forget this entire thing and one of the memories they will have Karrion Kross beating Sami Zayn . I just don't see that being a memory in people's minds .
Speaker 2But here's the whole thing , though , Karrion . So A memory in people's minds . But here's the whole thing , though . Karen so far has been right about everybody . He's turned to New Day , he's turned to all the people that he was , you know , trying to turn to .
Speaker 4But Sammy is the only one .
Speaker 2He can't quite get Mm-hmm , so what better way to turn ?

Speaker 1Yeah , and also that would make him say the cross is right . If he like say he gets like disqualified , he would still have to say it didn't he ?

Speaker 2Exactly Just like Becky turned . Didn't Becky turn heel at SummerSlam against Charlotte After Charlotte beat her ? When at SummerSlam , I think so . She attacked her yeah . So I mean that's usually a good time to turn .
Speaker 1If you're going to turn , yeah , but it's like Becky Lynch compared to Sami , I mean , it's not the same person . But I just don't see Sami Zayn turning for one and I don't see Karrion Kross winning for two . True , so I'm going to say Sami Zayn , I want to say Karrion Kross . But I'm trying to win here , I'm not trying to lose .
Speaker 2Yeah , cross , but I'm trying to win here , I'm not trying to lose . So for mine , I'm going to go with Karrion Kross , because the way Karrion Kross has been going with the crowd , the crowd's been cheering him , it's been organic . They haven't been forcing anything , it's just the fans like Karrion Kross and Scarlett . So it's like this is the perfect opportunity for him to win . He's been losing every PLE .
Speaker 1One last PLE he won . When has he been on ?
Speaker 2a PLE Exactly , and the ones he has been on he's lost . Yeah . So this is the best opportunity for him to win Right here . Yeah .
Speaker 2I'm not saying he turns Sammy completely heel , but you can have him be more of a more of a fighter , you know , like um , not saying sammy's gonna turn out completely healed , but this could push him , like you said before , push him going toward the main event . Yeah , because he's been kind of behind the scenes second fiddle , kevin owens has been up there , jay uso's been up there . All these people he's tagged with or been friends with , you know , have , like you said , put the rocker on their back and he's the one that's still sitting there putting on good matches but not getting an opportunity to win a championship , or even close to one , you know , and so he can still lose and win you know he can lose his match .
Speaker 2But it can propel him to be better because he can lose his match . But it can propel him to be better because he can be more aggressive in what he does , going after the belts .
Speaker 2You know you're no better than I am you just gotta embrace that part of yourself and go after it ? And Sami Zayn for the longest has been like a pure nose , red heart , ricky Steamboat type of baby . Yeah , this might be the first opportunity where he actually can not fully , like I said , not fully turn heel , but turn heel just a little bit . So with that , I'm gonna like , I'm gonna pick Kross , uh , to win this one yeah , um .
Speaker 1So for the second match on the card um , it's Randy Orton and Jelly Roll versus Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre .
Speaker 2Well , first , I think we don't know if Drew's going to fully be there yet 100% I mean last I saw he was still stuck in the UK somewhere . I mean it could be a work now , like he could be back over here now and they're still saying that or he could still be stuck over there , I don't know .
Speaker 1I feel like they have no reason to do that Like a work , but that's an unnecessary work .
Speaker 2I guess we'll find out on SmackDown if they do what they do on SmackDown . Yeah .
Speaker 2You know , since we're doing this before SmackDown , I guess that we'll figure out what they're doing before SmackDown . We'll figure , I guess that we'll figure out what they're doing before SmackDown , like we'll figure out what they're doing at SmackDown . They're gonna they're gonna talk about it . Are they gonna mention Drew not being there ? Are they gonna say he got here ? You know what they're gonna say , you know , but kind of fresh to see what they who fills in , or if you know , or if Drew can make it .
Speaker 2You know that's a question right now as far as as far as this past weekend anyways .
Speaker 1Like I feel like like not like in this match really , because you could have almost anybody here , but I feel like Drew McIntyre's hard to replace in like this type of match . He is hard to replace who hates Randy Orton so much that he's willing to team with Logan Paul and also hates outsiders , except for Logan Paul in the center .
Speaker 2And so you have to get somebody who hates Randy Orton so much that he'd rather tag with Logan Paul than go get Randy Orton . That's a hard one right there .
Speaker 1I can't even think of anybody , like just just randomly .
Speaker 2I can't think of you , know , and the best if Drew can't go , the best thing to do is to put somebody from New . York , new Jersey in there , which there's not many wrestlers though yeah , especially they would fit that scenario exactly , you know . But yeah , who are you ? Who are you picking over ?
Speaker 1let's say the match does happen ?
Speaker 2drew and logan versus , uh , randy and jelly roll . Who are you thinking ?
Speaker 1it could be logan paul and anybody , literally anybody . I feel like celebrities barely win I mean always win , and um , and it's also randy and I feel like they're just more likely to win . So I'm going to pick Randy Orton's team .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean I like Jelly Roll . I remember Jelly Roll back in the day before he did country music , when he was actually rapping in the 36 Mafia . But yeah , I've been a fan of Jelly Roll , but anyways yeah , I got Jelly Roll and Randy Orton as well . It's hard for me , like you said , it's hard for me to see Randy Orton as well .
Speaker 1It's hard for me . Like you said , it's hard for me to see Randy Orton losing and Jelly Roll with his debut losing , especially the way he's been training .
Speaker 2He's lost a lot . He's lost a ton of weight yeah , I mean a lot of weight Supposedly been down at the Performance Center learning how to wrestle . So he's taking it serious , like Bad Bunny did and like Logan Paul's been doing so so he's taking it serious like .
Speaker 2Bad Bunny did like Logan Paul's been doing . So he's taking it serious like them . He's not just going in there and going to embarrass himself , he's going to go in there knowing how to . I mean he did a boss man slam or a sidewalk slam or the best you know black hole slam whatever you want to call it . You know he did that slam on Logan Paul the other day . It looked good .
Speaker 4I mean , he knew what he was doing out there .
Speaker 1Yeah . So , I'm interested to see what he looks like it was smooth too , because , like Logan Paul ran into it , I think yeah , and then he just did it right away .
Speaker 2Yeah , that's what I'm saying . So it looks smooth Like , it looks like in a four . Obviously , we know he's not going to wrestle in a four-attire match , obviously , but I'm going to be interested to see what he does . Do he does get in the ring against Logan or Drew or whoever ?
Speaker 1So like he's probably going to win the match , but like what would his finish be ? A chokeslam ?
Speaker 2Probably that's what he's been doing . Most people chokeslam or the boss man slam . I keep saying Bossman . Slam , but it's probably the Black Hole because the business one of the producers backstage has probably been working with him .
Speaker 1Yeah , so I would say probably the Black Hole Slam would probably be his finishing move , more likely One of those two that or a show slam , I would say so for the next match on the card , it's the Judgment Day , which is Raquel and Roxanne Perez versus Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships , and for this one I feel like it could go either way , and they've also been building the tag team division a lot because , like , they don't really care that much what they used to not care about the women's tag team division a lot Because , like , they don't really care that much .
Speaker 1Well , they used to not care about the women's tag team division , but now they have good teams and they have good matches . But yeah , anyways , I think Charlotte and Alexa are going to win Because , like , mostly the formula for women's tag teams is like they put two people together , but now they actually have storylines . They used to not have storylines . Now they put two people together and then they go after the titles and they almost always win , like it's almost 100% guaranteed that two new people just win the titles .
Speaker 1So I think charlotte and alex actually I don't know . I feel like the story might go better if charlotte and alexa win , maybe to take the titles off of them and go into Liv's story .
Speaker 2But is Liv going to be back that fast ? She's going to be back that fast .
Women's Tag Team Championship Analysis
Speaker 2She might not be back until Survivor Series or later . I mean with a shoulder . I mean look how long Rhea was out with a similar type injury . Yeah . So Liv dislocated her shoulder , which means she could come back . Yeah , so live , dislocated shoulder , which means she could come back . You know , dislocated shoulder , depending on how bad is dislocated , could keep her out for a few months to several months , and I haven't heard how bad it was . To know how .
Speaker 2You know , if I knew how bad it was , maybe you can kind of give an estimate on when she may be , back , but not knowing how how severe the uh dislocated shoulder was , you don't really know how long she's going to be out . Yeah , I mean , if you know she was coming back soon , then yeah , it makes sense . But if she's not coming back until the Survivor Series or even the Royal Rumble , then it doesn't make sense for them to lose right now .
Speaker 1Mm-hmm , but yeah wait . So who ?
Speaker 2do you think the winner ? Who do you pick ? I picked charlotte and alexa . Yeah , you , you used the word that you said . What do you say about people who get put together ?
Speaker 2they sometimes win yeah this is sometimes lose that's what you think yeah , one with judgment day winning is keeping the belt for a little bit longer because of what you said , the the when still lives , comes back . I don't think she'll be back by summer slam , so I'm gonna say they're gonna keep the belt until she does come back and you know something happens with that , but until then they don't lose that belt .
Speaker 1I don't think . Uh , honestly , I could see the judgment day winning . Actually , I see thegment Day winning almost more than Charlotte and Alexa . But I feel like they just value those two superstars and they want to put titles on them . You know , they are not singles titles for once .
Speaker 2For sure .
Speaker 1Especially with Charlotte Flair . They're not a singles title .
Speaker 2I think this has helped Charlotte out tremendously , though you know she was getting booed .

Speaker 2She was getting booed , yeah , and now she's basically a baby face now she's , she's getting cheered a little bit because she's with alexa and alexa's a face status . No matter how bad or good alexa , she gets cheered . I think her she's kind of rubbing off on charlie and people are people are seeing . I think what's helping charlie out is people are seeing a personality with her , because normally she's no nonsense , straight to the thing . Give me my championship . I want my championship . This is my championship .
Speaker 1I got it and then wins it every time .
Speaker 2And then wins it every time and then retains it for a little bit , you know , whatever , this is one of the first times where you're actually seeing her personality kind of comes out .
Speaker 1She's been doing the cheer stuff , the backstage segments .
Speaker 2You know we're not friends but we're friends type of thing . You know we're seeing more personality from Charlotte which honestly I think has helped people get to know her a little better than they have in the last what 10 years she's been there to be . Yeah , I think it's working for them .
Speaker 2This is a summer slam , though I think about that . They usually do have big , big teams win summer slam . It does help the storyline better if charlotte and alexa wins , but I'm gonna stick with my . I'm gonna stick with my original pick Judging Day and have them retain .
Speaker 1But um , that's what you're going to say about that . Yeah that's it All right . And for the fourth match on the card is Tiffany Stratton versus Jade Cargill for the WWE Women's Championship , and for this one , I mean it doesn't have that much of a build .
Speaker 2A little bit , but not too . But they've been more friends than anything .
Speaker 1They've been helping out each other and they've had segments with somebody else .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean you got two babyfaces . This would have been a perfect time to turn Jade heel . This would have been a babyface . We could have had her , like , go after Tiffany a few times , yeah , you know , and make the fans boo her a little

Speaker 1And like babyface versus babyface . Unless it's just like two like performers that are going to have like an amazing match , it doesn't really work and like I can't really see that honestly , because like Jay Kroger and Tiffany Stratton could put on like a decent match I won't even deny that , but like I don't see them putting on like a five-star match here yeah , I mean Jay's still fairly new to wrestling .
Speaker 2I mean she's not new , she's been wrestling for a few years now . Was the aw for a while undefeated ? There was she . No , she lost once or twice in aw . I think she lost her belly .
Speaker 2She lost a rematch um chris statland , I believe yeah I think that's what it was , but um , but yeah , so , and tiffany's fairly new too . I mean both of them are fairly new , but they've both been extremely good in the ring . You know they both took , as they say , took to it like a fish , like a fish to water . You know they both just been , you know as they say , hitting the ground running . You know they've both been good off the bat and this should be a good match . Not sure if I will put it as a great match quite yet . I mean , give it a few more years , about two , three more years . This will be probably a main event night one on WrestleMania match with them Maybe , yeah , with the Star Power .
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying With the Star Power , in two , three years this will probably definitely be a main event in WrestleMania , like night one , you know . But yeah , with that , who'd ?

Speaker 1I mean I was still thinking , but like I feel like Jade , probably especially with Naomi out of the picture , because everybody thought she'd go cash in .

Speaker 2I just thought about something now what I think Bianca's cleared now . I was watching her thing with Chris Van Vliet . It looks like she said her finger was healed . Oh , and that was filmed , I think a week or two ago , I think , mm-hmm To show him . Yeah .
Speaker 1I saw that I didn't see the whole thing , but I saw a little bit .
Speaker 2Yeah , and I think she said her finger was healed or close to being healed which means she could easily come back at SummerSlam . That could be a good way of turning her heel , you know ?
Speaker 4because , yeah , Jade , and her won tag team titles , but she ain't won really nothing since Jade came .
Speaker 2I mean her and Jade . You know tagged together and won tag team belts , but you know .
Speaker 1Jade's the reason , her and Naomi's not friends anymore , she's , you know .
Speaker 2But I think Tiffany's going to win , with a possible interference from Bianca . I don't know how or if it's going to happen yet , but I think Bianca is going to get involved some kind of way in that match .

Speaker 1with Paul Heyman in their corner . So like this one is supposed to be Roman versus Seth , but Seth got injured , right .
Speaker 2I would think it would have been Roman versus Seth , and Seth would probably cash in that night too . But because he's hurt , you have to pivot a little bit . And now you got Roman and Jay , which now you get . But that's a good thing about that . You get Jay on the card and then you got Brunson and Brown on the card . So now you got three guys who probably would have been on that card had Steph not got hurt .

So it's not out of the realm of possibility of Roman Reigns to lose to Braun and Bronson , I mean with Paul Heyman in their corner . I mean , what can Paul Heyman not do ? I mean , everything he touches turns to gold pretty much . I mean , look what we did at ECW Brock , cm Punk , and then he had , uh what ? Gilly Cuddy and them guys , paul Heyman , guys , I mean you know , I mean , look at all he did . I mean , and he got Roman . Look what he did to Roman . He took Roman to a whole another stratosphere . Mm-hmm , he took Roman for being a good wrestler . I mean , but yeah , you put Paul Heyman and Braun together . Oh man , you're talking about recipe for whatever they want to do . In the meantime , until Seth comes back , you can put that rocket on Braun or Bronson's back for right now and hold a fort down , as they say , until Seth comes back .
Speaker 2But yeah , I got . But with that being said too , I don't . I think it's going to be a good match . I think Braun's going to get all his stuff in , but I think it's just going to be too much overpower for Roman and Jey . They're going to pull it out of the victory . So I got . I'm going to pick Roman and Jey for the win .
Speaker 1You know . So I got them two for the win , mm-hmm . And for the next match on the card and the main event of night one , summerslam , it's Gunther versus CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk vs Gunther Main Event
Speaker 1. Yep , and this one again . While Seth Rollins is out of the picture , cm Punk could win , and just win the title .
Speaker 2I thought Seth Rollins would have cashed in on this match .
Speaker 1Without Seth Rollins in the picture . What if Gunther just retains ?
Speaker 2That's the problem I have . I don't know . I think what would have happened , I think , had Seth not got hurt , is CM Punk beats Gunther and then Seth catches on CM Punk to stop him from winning the belt and enjoying it .
Speaker 1He won the belt , 30 seconds boom and he now lost the belt and also people think that Seth still might come back , but I just don't see it .
Speaker 2If he does . The knee injury wasn't as bad as they said it was .
Speaker 1He had a knee injury .
Speaker 2That's a known fact . Yeah , you can tell the way he had a knee injury . Here's the thing too . You don't fake stuff like that . You don't fake an injury like that , because if you do , you come back and get hurt for real doing that . You know you fake a knee injury like that . Let's say he was doing his work . You know you fake a knee injury like that .
Speaker 2You come back and stretch your knee like that yeah , and then you're out for real for a year or whatever . You know , I don't think that's a . I don't think it's a fake injury . I think it's a legit injury . Now the severity of it , I don't know if it's a surgery or he doesn't need surgery . Let it heal on his own .
Speaker 2If he needs surgery he's gonna be out six to twelve months . Yeah , so he's already let it heal on his own . If he needs surgery , he's going to be out six to twelve months . So he's not coming back until the end of the year . Royal Rumble , maybe even WrestleMania , before Money in the Bank in the summer , he may not come back . If it's a legit injury . He's not coming back until Royal Rumble , royal Rumble , wrestlemania he's not coming back until If it's not as bad . He's not coming back to Rory Rumble , rory Rumble , wrestlemania .
Speaker 2He's not coming back to If it's not as bad he can be back , maybe by Survivor Series . I think I don't see him at all coming back as SummerSlam At all . There's no way , based on the way the injury looked anyways .

I mean , I don't see CM Punk losing two back-to-back title matches he lost to John . Cena at in . Saudi Arabia and he's going to turn around and lose .
Speaker 2He's going through two if he loses this , he has no business asking for a title shot . Now Come both of them . He didn't I mean not saying he didn't earn them , but neither one of them . He just walked up to them and said he wanted a match and they gave him a match . So he can't do it anymore . This is his last leg . If he loses this , he's done as far as the world titles go . As long as Gunther and John Cena have them .
Speaker 2Yeah , John Cena have him . Yeah , Because I mean John Cena beat him . Whether it was fair or not , John Cena beat him and then Gunther's wrestling him and Gunther's a better wrestler than John Cena is ? Mm-hmm , it's not a hard take to make you know , as far as just regular wrestling , John Cena's a better wrestler than him .
Speaker 2You know , but uh , but uh , but yeah . So I got , I got . I'm gonna go ahead and pick gunther for the win on this one as well . I don't see cm punk winning right now , especially not because , especially since uh seth rollins is still injured , so I don't know .

Speaker 2So in those 10 years but he hadn't had a WB World Championship in those 10 years , yeah . So yeah , I'm going to go with CM Punk to win , but how long he has it don't know . But I'm going to go with him to win and be going through for the belt Mm-hmm .

Speaker 2Oh yeah , let me add a little bit too before we go into night . Two later . Why is LA Knight and Bayley not on this card at all ? Yeah . I mean , if Bayley doesn't show up at SummerSlam , she Wrestlemania and SummerSlam and think about it .

Speaker 1there is a simulation in that match , though . Yeah , uh-huh , yeah , and I feel like it would be better , not a better match . Really , I don't know .

Yeah , you know so they've been fighting over that . But yeah , the fact that you don't have LA Knight or Bayley on SummerSlam card I mean two of the not to say the biggest stars , but two of the most consistent ones out here I mean that's , I don't get it . Yeah .
