The UK Agri-Tech Centre is excited to share insights from the Carbon HarvesTech project, which explored the feasibility of localised CO₂ production for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) using Direct Air Capture (DAC).

Led by Brits Energy, in collaboration with Flex Farming, Cambridge HOK, and the UK Agri-Tech Centre, the project successfully developed a working prototype, uncovering the key technical and commercial steps needed to move towards scalable deployment.

Dive deeper into the findings and future potential on this podcast, where our host, Wallace Currie talks with Ahmad Mosheni (Brits Energy, project lead), alongside Alexander van Tuyll (Wageningen University) and Eirinn Rushbridge (GrowSave). Together, they discuss the innovation behind DAC, the remaining challenges for the Carbon HarvesTech technology, and what this could mean for the future of sustainable food production.
