Pain with intimacy, low desire, and dryness aren’t “just hormones” to quietly tolerate—they’re signals your body needs support. We walk through a clear, science-led path to restore sensation, arousal, and confidence using platelet-rich plasma and the OShot protocol, a precise, regenerative treatment that uses your own biology to improve blood flow, nerve signaling, and tissue quality.

Across this candid conversation, we explain how PRP is prepared, where it’s placed, and why anatomical precision matters for outcomes. You’ll hear practical benefits women report—from stronger, more reliable orgasms to relief from vaginal dryness, atrophy, and even mild stress urinary incontinence—and how results typically unfold over two to three months and can last 12 to 18 months. We also share what the procedure feels like, how we keep it comfortable with topical and local anesthetic, and the minimal downtime required.

Because libido isn’t one-dimensional, we broaden the lens to whole-person care. We talk hormone balance for women—including the role of testosterone—plus thyroid and adrenal health, pelvic floor therapy, core and breath work, peptides, and stress and sleep strategies that support the brain’s arousal pathways. If you’re wondering whether you’re a good candidate, we outline clear indicators: reduced sensation, difficulty with orgasm, dryness or discomfort, or a desire for a non-hormonal option that centers real physiology over quick fixes.

Female sexual wellness is healthcare, not vanity. If something has shifted for you and you want a plan that respects your body and your life, we’re here to help. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more women can find evidence-based options for restoring comfort, connection, and joy.

Mission And Women’s Sexual Health Myths

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Harmony Hub Health, where my mission is to provide comprehensive, affordable, integrative care that addresses the root cause of health issues. At the Hub, the focus is on individual patient journeys. I strive to optimize health, vitality, and longevity, fostering a community where each person can thrive in body, mind, and spirit. And for years, women have been told that pain with intimacy, loss of sensation, difficulty-reaching orgasm, or a sudden drop in libido, they're all just normal. They're just true hormones or something to just quietly tolerate. But here's a spoiler alert: none of that is normal. And it's definitely not something you have to live with. That's why we're gonna talk about the OSHOT, the regenerative treatment using platelet-rich plasma or PRP that supports sexual wellness, tissue health, sensation, and confidence from the inside out. This is not about vanity. This is about blood flow, nerves, collagen, tissue repair, and function, real physiology, real science, and real results. So I'm gonna break it all down for you today. The OShot is a trademark protocol that uses PRP derived from your own blood and strategically injected into specific areas of the vulvo vaginal tissue, most commonly the clitoris, the G spot region, and surrounding structures involved in arousal, lubrication, and orgasm. The technique was developed and standardized by Dr. Charles Runels, the same physician who pioneered PRP-based sexual wellness treatments for both women and men. Providers trained under this protocol, like myself, follow precise anatomical placement and safety standards to maximize outcomes. This matters because placement really is everything for this procedure. Platelet-rich plasma or PRP is created by drawing a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These platelets are packed with growth factors, and these growth factors increase blood flow or angiogenesis, it repairs microdamage, it stimulates collagen and elastin, it supports nerve regeneration, and it improves tissue quality and sensitivity. So, in short, PRP doesn't add anything foreign. It just tells your body to heal and regenerate itself. So, why would you get a needle down there? Let's talk about this. And this is where, you know, women usually lean in a little closer. So, first of all, is that increased sexual desire or libido? While libido is multifactorial, it can deal with hormones, brain chemistry, stress, or even your relationship. But that improved blood flow and nerve responsiveness often lead to an increased desire and arousal. When tissue functions better, the brain follows. Okay. Next is improved arousal and sensation. Many women tell me, you know, that this gives them heightened sensitivity, stronger arousal, improved response to stimulation. This is especially impactful for women who feel numb, disconnected, or less responsive than they used to be. Okay. Then there's the stronger, more reliable orgasms. Like stop the faking already. The OSHOT is well known for helping women achieve orgasm more easily to experience stronger orgasms or to have more consistent orgasms. It's not magic. This is neurovascular regeneration. Um, one thing this is very useful is vaginal dryness and atrophy. So PRP improves tissue thickness, hydration, and elasticity. It makes it incredibly helpful for perimenopause or menopause or even postpartum changes. Um, women that want to avoid estrogen therapy, this is perfect for. Um, also the ladies that have pain with intercourse, also known as dysperunia. So by improving tissue integrity and blood flow, PRP can reduce discomfort that's related to vaginal thinning or maybe even scar tissue, post-surgical changes, or hormonal depletion. And one of the um benefits that most women that aren't totally having a problem with orgasm is that mild stress urinary incontinence. Many women notice improvement in mild leakage with the coughing, the laughing, or exercise due to the improved tissue support around the urethra. Um, so how do I do this? Okay, so you come into the office, we have a little chit-chat, I draw a small vial of blood, similar to just getting your blood work done. Um I then take that and spin it in my centrifuge to isolate high-quality platelet-rich plasma. Um I apply a topical numbing cream. I can even use local anesthetic. Most women do like the local anesthetic to the clitoral area. You want to keep it comfortable, okay? Um, most women will describe this as pressure, not pain with the injections. And, you know, PRP is injected into precise anatomical locations designed to support the sensation, the blood flow, and tissue health. It probably only takes about 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish, and there's minimal downtime. There can be mild swelling or sensitivity, um, some more than others, for 24 to 72 hours. You will not be able to have intercourse for 24 to 48 hours. I recommend not doing this right at Valentine's Day. So a short break, but a big payoff, right? So some women notice changes within weeks. Full benefits typically build over two to three months as that tissue regenerates. But when that tissue regenerates, it should last for 12 to 18 months. So some women will want to get annual maintenance, some one and done. Um, I would never promise that that though, but um, this is regenerative medicine. It's not a temporary fix. PRP does stimulate. I'm gonna get all science-y angiogenesis, which means more blood flow and more blood flow gives you stronger arousal. Neurogenesis is improved nerve signaling, and then that collagen remodeling, it's that healthier, thicker tissue. And as your estrogen declines with age, blood flow and tissue resilience go down as well. PRP helps restore function without systemic hormones. Um, you can, you know, combine this with your hormones. There's a lot of other ways to support female libido. It's never one-dimensional. Um, the OSHOT works best when we address the full picture anyway. So hormonal optimization. Yes, testosterone is not just for men. Women need it too. Having your estradiol and progesterone balanced is key. Um, thyroid health, we want to look at that. And then your adrenal and cortisol regulation also play a very important role. Um, there are peptides that support tissue repair and vitality. I like PRP stacking with other regenerative treatments. Um, pelvic floor health is important. So pelvic floor therapy, core and breath work, neuromuscular retraining, those are all things that can help support female libido. And I have great people I can refer you to for those. Um, and just nervous system and brain chemistry, stress reduction, make sure you're coming to our float pod, um, sleep optimization, addressing that anxiety and burnout. You know, make sure you come in March. I'm gonna be the speaker at a burnout breakfast. Um, I'm so excited for that. So make sure you get those details on the website or on the Facebook page. Um, because libido lives in the brain, it lives in your hormones, your blood vessels, nerves, and motions. Libido is not just one organ. And if you're wondering if you're a candidate, I would say the OSHA is ideal for women who feel disconnected from their sexuality, who have reduced sensation or an orgasm difficulty, um, or if you experience vaginal dryness or discomfort and that kind of makes those times uncomfortable. Maybe you want a non-hormonal regenerative option. Um, you just want to feel more like yourself again. Okay. This is about quality of life. Female sexual wellness is an indulgence. Okay. I consider this healthcare too. Confidence, connection, pleasure, and comfort. They matter. The OSHA gives women a science-backed option to restore function, sensation, and vitality using your own biology. And honestly, women deserve regenerative medicine too. Okay. I'm always telling my women that female sexual wellness is not a luxury. It isn't vanity, and it's certainly not something we should be whispering about behind closed doors. It's circulation, it's nerves, it's hormones, it's tissue health, it's confidence, again, it's quality of life. Regenerative therapies like PRP and the OSHOT are showing us that when we stop dismissing women's symptoms and start listening to their biology, real healing happens. And not in a quick fix way, but in a restore function, rebuild tissue, reconnect with yourself kind of way. If something has shifted for you, if desire feels different, um if sensation feels muted or intimacy feels more complicated than it used to, know this, okay? You are not broken. You're definitely not alone. And there are options rooted in real science. You deserve to feel at home with your body again. So if this episode resonated with you, I invite you to take the next step.
