Hello again and welcome back. I'm Baron Battlebread, your guide through the streets and whispers of reggae. You can gather around lost folk as we spiral back into the timebreakers, trying to rewrite history and change their fates. When we last left off, everybody had gone to bed after a long and eventful day. Sarah went grave robbing and when she returned, unfortunately her companions were barely able to stomach the situation. After everything was said and done, sarah was cleaned, shimmer went off towards her meeting and the team came together to go hunt down breakfast.
Speaker 3:Time breakers. Time breakers Didn't want to interrupt the flow there.
Speaker 1:Now the time breakers are heading out into the festival to find their food and go to the castle. What would you guys like to do?
Speaker 4:Well, I think breakfast is in order. After that fiasco, At least I say we get breakfast. True.
Speaker 3:Real question becomes my stomach is settled and oh, the wretched, awful smell from our robot friend. I am ready for a meal, I must say.
Speaker 1:Okay, who wants to lead the group? Who wants to roll me the perception or investigation check to lead people towards one of the delicious smells wafting through the streets?
Speaker 4:Elise, I'll let you take the lead on this, because last time I suggested a brunch place, that did not work out too well.
Speaker 3:They still never got us our pancakes. Luckily, I know, With a quick sleight of hand I was able to acquire some.
Speaker 1:Elise will lead the way Investigation or perception. You know I'll go with investigation. Oh, you're go for it watch to nap one.
Speaker 1:Yeah, 18 with a five on the die, that brings it up to 18 you as you guys are headed towards the castle, um, you pass by a number of packed and crowded shops, but you're not looking for something that you've got to really wait in. You know, like all of these places, they're so crowded. So many people are up this early in the morning and suddenly a scent catches your nose. You can smell stews. You can smell a chowder. You can smell stews. You can smell a chowder, you can smell meatballs. You follow Elise into the upper ward and you find a gnome in a green robe and golden, golden beard and a really, really tall chef's hat pushing a cart and it smells delicious. Wow, cart, and it smells delicious.
Speaker 4:Wow, that cart really smells delicious.
Speaker 2:Eh Ah, I forgot about that. Turns on my nose, hello there.
Speaker 4:Uh, do you happen to have anything that you're selling right now?
Speaker 1:Oh, for you Surprise.
Speaker 4:I really don't want surprises right now.
Speaker 1:No, no, no, no, no, two, two silver surprise. And he, he reaches into his car and he brings up what looks like a bread bowl with a top on it, like to find a top.
Speaker 3:It smelled good, it smells delicious you provide these meals and they are mysteries.
Speaker 1:Oh no, no, no, no surprise, no, no, no Surprise, no mystery Breakfast.
Speaker 3:I still don't understand the point of the name Surprise Soup.
Speaker 1:Prize. He pulls the top off the bread bowl and inside you see a delicious-looking probably from the look of it it's probably a broccoli and cheddar soup sitting in this bread bowl. It's steaming, it's delicious. You want.
Speaker 4:I don't know, elise, what do you think?
Speaker 1:Two silver each or two for five.
Speaker 3:I think he's a fool. Can't quite do math, can he?
Speaker 4:No Two for five or two silver each. Oh yeah, let's keep going. Let's leave the gnome to his own cart.
Speaker 3:A bit too frantic for my taste. Yes, I agree, eh your loss.
Speaker 4:Yeah, I'm sure it is our loss, but have a good day there, buddy.
Speaker 1:Surprise, Delicious breakfast. Surprise, he walks off pushing his cart.
Speaker 3:Screws a bit loose on that fella.
Speaker 4:Yeah, all right, he walks off pushing his cart Screws a bit loose on that fella yeah.
Speaker 1:Alright, roll me another investigation. Check for a different breakfast.
Speaker 4:Thaddeus will walk over to this one building and it has like a picture of fish on it and he opens the door and it's just the fishmonger singing another fish song.
Speaker 3:What a delicious fish. What a delicious fish. What a delicious fish. Come inside, have a meal. You can have this delicious fish.
Speaker 4:Second thought I'm not feeling in the mood for fish this morning. And then he closes the door and walks off.
Speaker 1:No, no, no fish, elise, is that a 30? I see on your investigation? Check that is a 30 on the investigation. What kind of breakfast are you looking for?
Speaker 3:She's probably looking for something a little more basic some bacon eggs, maybe as an omelet, even.
Speaker 1:You continue walking down the streets, past all of the packed individuals, and your expertise in the layout of this city leads you to a small stand set up in an alley. You see a human standing behind a large flat top grill. Fires are blaring underneath it. He has cured hams and eggs set up behind him. He's got an on, he's got a bandana on, he's got a spatula and a large knife in his hands.
Speaker 3:Finally a place away from people and it looks like they're making actual food, Not surprises or whatever was being sold at that. I stand, I don't understand stuff.
Speaker 4:Yeah, I don't understand it either.
Speaker 1:Alright, you see a menu, stand it on the thing. It says one silver, two silver or three silver Cheap breakfast, medium breakfast, full breakfast.
Speaker 3:Elise will hand over exactly one silver and pay for only her own meal.
Speaker 1:Alright, you set up one silver. He grabs two slices of bacon, two eggs and throws them on the grill and he says how do you want him cooked over east keys, cool, uh. You watch as he uh, he's going to throw some oil on it, he's gonna flip him over, he's gonna scoop him off onto a plate and you have breakfast. That is, he's gonna hand over to silver. You watch as he grabs two slices of bacon, three eggs and two pieces of thick-cut bread and he throws them on top of the grill. He's like how do you want them cooked? Scrambled, alright. You watch his spatula and his knife get to work as he scrambles the eggs in front of you. He throws them on one of the pieces of bread. He takes the bacon finished cooking, cooking. He uses the other piece of bread To sop up what's left on top of the grill and he throws that on the plate as well. Breakfast, anything for you, sarah? No, this is breakfast. Yeah, do you want breakfast?
Speaker 2:I can't eat.
Speaker 1:Has that stopped you already? Has that stopped you before?
Speaker 2:yes, that's the whole point of me trying to figure out the mouth.
Speaker 1:Oh my god that's right, I forgot. I'm sorry wow bread right, wow oh, that's okay. Yep, all right. So you guys have have your cheat breakfast and your medium breakfast, easy enough. There's spices and condiments on the table nearby. You're good to go. You have eaten delicious food. What would you like to do now?
Speaker 4:All right. Well, I think, after we have this delicious breakfast in front of us and everything, elise, we should probably make our way to the castle and see what the lizard's up to. By the way, what is that thing that you have wrapped in one of my blankets?
Speaker 3:I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 4:Okay.
Speaker 3:It's probably best you don't ask just yet. You will know soon. I promise I'm not keeping any secrets.
Speaker 1:So what you're saying is you'll tell him later.
Speaker 2:I will tell you later. I'll explain later. Alright, will tell you later.
Speaker 1:I'll explain later. All right, after you finish breakfast, you guys continue making your way to the castle, to the castle, to the castle.
Speaker 4:To the castle All right. Traveling by map.
Speaker 1:This time, Elise, you are leading the party to the castle. Roll me a perception check as you come into the main gate. Well, you look around and while there are still guards at the main door, there don't appear to be any guards posted at the gate anymore. It seems a bit odd, but you know you might be in the middle of a shift change, who knows. But you make your way inside the castle with little to no problem.
Speaker 3:Well, that was easy enough. Let's find the lizard. Have you seen Shimmer yet?
Speaker 4:Uh no.
Speaker 1:How long has it been? You know what? Roll me a d100, shimmer so I can put things into perspective.
Speaker 4:I don't see the warehouse being too far from Thaddeus' house. No.
Speaker 6:I can't imagine her power walking though 68.
Speaker 1:So close. So a little over an hour. They took a moment to get there. They sat for breakfast. You guys walk into the lizard's chamber and Shimmer's already there.
Speaker 6:Wow, you left immediately after me, I'm pretty sure. How did I get here first?
Speaker 1:must be chronomancy oh, all right, you guys are now in the lizard's office. The lizard is sitting there, just you know, casting his bones, stroking his chin, casting his bones again. He looks up at you guys and he goes oh, I see, welcome back. What can I do for you on this fine festival morning?
Speaker 6:Another helmet.
Speaker 1:What.
Speaker 3:You want another one? Elise pulls the cage out of the blankets, begins unlocking it, which the helmet's visible inside of the cage.
Speaker 4:Okay, thaddeus assumes attack stance with his hammer in hand, ready to smash that thing. You've been carrying around that the entire time.
Speaker 1:Oh boy, another helmet, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme. What are we looking at at this time? I wasn't going to leave it at the house that was at my house.
Speaker 6:Yes, we discovered something With this one.
Speaker 1:Ooh, I love a good discovery. What have you learned At?
Speaker 6:least if you could point out where it is. There's a return label. It speaks of fall as well as sigil, which, like you, can smooth it over temporarily with mending, but it'll come back. But that suggests it might be able to be removed with something stronger.
Speaker 1:You tried to mend the helmet and the sigil came back. Yes, interesting, interesting indeed. Have you done any magical investigations on it yet?
Speaker 6:No, I do not have magical spells for investigation.
Speaker 1:Ah Then, I will Quickly put the helmet on the table.
Speaker 4:Thaddeus takes a step back with his light hammer in hand.
Speaker 1:And as you put the helmet on the table, you watch as the lizard, uh, louis Ignatius Zephyr, jumps up on the table and he starts casting his spell, shaking his stick over the helmet. You see his eyes flare a bright blue and he goes oh, I see, I see this one. This one is different, yes, different, indeed, very powerful, these ones, Hmm, yes, oh. And he spends an uncomfortable amount of time making little noises as he investigates his helmet. Amount of time making little noises as he investigates his helmet.
Speaker 6:I'm going to cast Silent Image to create a wall between Thaddeus and the table because he's annoying me.
Speaker 1:Alright Thaddeus, your vision is blocked. You can't see the helmet on the table anymore. Well, I have learned something. This helmet does the exact same thing as the other helmet in controlling your mind.
Speaker 6:Surprise Pikachu face, but I have learned something else.
Speaker 1:If you push on this sigil with a finger, it will set off the helmet as a homing device, as it is. That will lead you to the creator.
Speaker 6:Well, that would have been good. How did I not notice that Mending is clutch?
Speaker 1:Well, I assume that when you started casting mending, the sigil was partially removed and thus would not work. Oh, that the sigil was partially removed and thus would not work.
Speaker 6:Oh, that's true, it was partially removed while I was casting it.
Speaker 1:Yes, the sigil must be whole to activate it. I dare say this shall be interesting indeed. Now the question is who wants to wear it?
Speaker 6:Absolutely no one.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 6:We did that yesterday we know what it does.
Speaker 1:Well, helmets can't move on their own. They need a vehicle, a body legs, to walk them to where they're going.
Speaker 6:He gestures to the cage.
Speaker 4:Are you sure?
Speaker 6:Are you planting the helmet?
Speaker 4:Buddy, you come anywhere near me with that helmet and I will break your face.
Speaker 1:Well, seeing as I'm the only one who can take it off of you, I don't think I should be the one to put it on.
Speaker 6:No one needs to put it on. Well, how's it going to move, carrying it? Well, how are you going to know where to go? Put a hand on the sigil.
Speaker 1:Oh, that might work. Simmers, get a face off it doesn't say I guess the magic doesn't necessarily says it has to be on a head. You just need to be touching it. Huh, Okay, With Shimmer's brilliant advice of that, if you just need to be touching the sigil, it doesn't necessarily need to be on a head. Who wants to? Who wants to hold the helmet to guide you to where you need to go?
Speaker 2:I volunteer myself as tribute.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah, all right, sarah, do you want to pick up the helmet?
Speaker 6:Yes.
Speaker 1:All right.
Speaker 6:Where is Sarah standing, by the way? Huh, there is still a wall between Thaddeus and the table. It is an illusory wall, but I'm not sure Sarah knows that.
Speaker 1:Well, Sarah doesn't have to be out of sight. You blocked.
Speaker 6:That's why I was asking Is she standing next to Thaddeus? At which point is she would be blocked, or is she somewhere else?
Speaker 1:I don't know.
Speaker 2:Sarah, I will attempt to go around the wall.
Speaker 1:Okay, sarah attempts to go around the wall. Roll me a wisdom check, sarah 30, 20. Sarah knows it's an illusory wall.
Speaker 6:I do have a. My save DC is in fact for a 20. So she just beat my spell, save DC.
Speaker 2:Damn your spell, save. Dc is high.
Speaker 1:Sarah, you walk through the illusory wall, you grab the helmet off the table. Are you touching the sigil immediately or did you have a different plan?
Speaker 2:I am holding the sides of the helmet with both my hands.
Speaker 1:Okay, what is your plan? Hold it until they tell me what to do. Alright, sarah is now holding the helmet. Guys, what are you up to? What are the rest of you doing Watching?
Speaker 6:Yeah, basically Just waiting for. Sarah to cut the sigil. Okay, forgetting that, sarah has no idea where the sigil is in the first place, as well as the fact of the robot I just wanted to record we've had less fear and hesitation with bosses and world-ending scenarios than we've had with a helmet and world-ending scenarios than we've had with a helmet.
Speaker 1:So Sarah is standing there holding the helmet waiting for instruction and you guys are standing there watching Sarah hold the helmet, not wanting to tell her what to do.
Speaker 6:Jim is saying the plan was pretty well established. Someone needs to touch the sigil. Sarah volunteered, so she's waiting for Sarah to touch the sigil. Sarah volunteered, so she's waiting for Sarah to touch the sigil.
Speaker 1:Okay, lisa's doing the same. Roll me an investigation. Check, sarah. Everyone is watching you with bated breath.
Speaker 4:Except Thaddeus, who's behind a illusionary wall.
Speaker 1:Except Thaddeus who's behind a wall. You guys watch as Sarah turns his helmet over and over in their hands. They don't see a sigil. It's very obvious that they don't know where the sigil is as they just start, as Sarah just starts, touching all over the helmet, just waiting for something to happen, but they don't appear. They're touching the outside of the helmet, not the inside. They don't know where the sigil is.
Speaker 3:It's the sigil on the inside of the helmets. That's all you have to do when.
Speaker 1:Sarah, by it getting pointed out. You turn the helmet over and you look inside for the first time and it's very obvious where the sigil is. You're like oh there it is, and you are free to touch the sigil if you so wish. I touch the sigil, make me a charisma save.
Speaker 1:I recommend revisiting your your programming skills here, sarah, upon touching the sigil, I need you to make me a charisma. Wow, is that an 18? Yes, you touch the sigil and you feel yourself compelled to start walking. You're not sure where this is going to take you, but you know that it is guiding you.
Speaker 2:I've received some sort of arcane instruction to begin walking that way. Wait did she succeed.
Speaker 1:Yeah, she got an 18. Holy shit.
Speaker 2:I know I rolled a 16 on the dice, okay.
Speaker 1:That hurts. Sarah starts walking. Yeah, okay, sarah walks out of the starts walking out of the room and the lizard says you must follow her, him it. I don't think I've seen the front of this creature before.
Speaker 2:That's surprising, given the brazenness in which I have walked in many times Not to his direct attention, to be directly towards me.
Speaker 7:You see the lizard. You notice that one eye goes all the way to the right, one goes all the way to the left.
Speaker 1:They can only focus while they're looking at their bones, as it says, after them.
Speaker 6:Shiver is already left. The wall is still there, by the way, as she leaves. Good luck.
Speaker 1:Time breakers, Don't do it. Mav leaves Good luck Time breakers, don't do it, matt.
Speaker 2:Breakers, time breakers. Those poor souls are gonna get themselves killed.
Speaker 4:I better be getting paid for this. Thaddeus is still behind the wall, unaware of what's really going on.
Speaker 6:You'll get what's coming to you. I walked through the wall. I imagine we left, so we walked through. You'll get what's coming to you. So I didn't. I imagine we left, so we walked through the wall right past you.
Speaker 1:Thaddeus, you watch as your teammates, you watch as your companions walk past you. Sarah is holding the helmet Like her hand is inside of it and she's just. She's not like running, but she is walking faster than you, than she usually does, like she has somewhere to be temporarily five extra move speed.
Speaker 7:What the hell did you?
Speaker 4:do to my steel defender as I follow them.
Speaker 1:You guys keep walking and walking. Sarah leads you out of the castle, down down, uh, up through the upper ward, uh, up through flowing silver's bazaar, uh, across through the shipping lanes, uh, passed down into the arcane isles. You guys can see the school in the distance as sarah leads you into upper west gate. It takes, uh, about an hour and a half, almost two hours, of just walking, following Sarah through the city as she skillfully sidesteps all obstacles in her way. Anything like in front of her, she just kind of stomps right over it. Nothing is going to deter her from making it to wherever this helmet is going. Going to deter her from making it to wherever this helmet is going. The rest of you I do need Elise, shimmer and Thaddeus to roll one dexterity save for me, please.
Speaker 2:I just want to ask something real quick. Yes, with the 18,. Did I fail? No, okay, 26.
Speaker 1:76. Thaddeus, you are begrudgingly following the group, wondering what the hell they just did to your creation, and you are not paying attention as much as you should be. And in one instance, sarah walks underneath a very large object being carried on the shoulders of two other men. As they pass through, shimmer and Elise dodge it, thaddeus, you whack your forehead for one point of bludgeoning, damage that tracks Sarah was short enough to just go under it. Yep.
Speaker 6:It's one of those situations where men are just carrying a mirror across the road for some reason. That thing that happens in movies but you never see in real life.
Speaker 1:Yeah, as you guys are traversing through the city, you do get to hear the people around you in some spaces. Who wants to roll a perception check for me?
Speaker 6:Who has the highest?
Speaker 2:perception I have a plus four. I think I have a plus five.
Speaker 1:Sarah, you didn't get to roll the perception check. You're focused.
Speaker 4:I have a plus seven. I think I have a plus five. Sarah, you didn't get to roll the perception check. You're focused. I have a plus seven.
Speaker 1:Twenty-three, Okay, Thaddeus. After you whack your head, your focus is momentarily dropped from your teammates and you can hear a couple of people as you walk down the streets shouting on the corners, handing out pamphlets and things, and one piece that catches your ear is they're talking about today's activities, and you can hear that the Maze of Madness has opened up in Helm's Hollow.
Speaker 1:And also grave robbers have burned down the Kelimvor Temple or at the very least set it alight. No one has been able to get close enough to see how much of the building remains, but freshly dug graves and a burning building do not bode well for the city.
Speaker 4:Especially since I know that you know part of a chunk of body from that grave happens to be in a bag of holding in my steel defender. That's sentient Neither.
Speaker 3:Shimmer nor Elise actually know that it was a head right.
Speaker 2:You do not.
Speaker 1:You just know that there was a terrible smell in that room and because Thaddeus fixed it, you're not even sure what it was.
Speaker 2:Yep yep he said he'd explain later he did yeah, he's not gonna explain later, you guys are proficient with dead bodies.
Speaker 1:That sounds terrible it's not so much a proficiency with dead bodies, it's a proficiency with rotten ones, and the only person who I would assume would have such a proficiency generally doesn't stick around for them to get that far. Anyway, you guys make it into Upper West Wing 8, where Sarah leads you to a small, well-constructed but surprisingly tiny uh, you would think it was a shed, but it looks like a miniature house, like it's just big enough for Elise to step into comfortably, but it probably can't hold all of you. The door is closed, uh, but Sarah, the helmet, like it, drags you right up to the front door and then you no longer feel compelled to keep walking.
Speaker 2:Roger, yeah, what would you like to do? Be trying to figure it out.
Speaker 3:Knock with the mage hand.
Speaker 6:How big is it, Like size-wise?
Speaker 1:You come across this tiny building. It's like a shed but it looks like a small house and Elise is capable of probably walking in through the front door, but it doesn't look big enough to hold all four of you.
Speaker 6:So we're just going to change her form to be smaller and thinner.
Speaker 1:You think it might be able to hold all four of you now, but it's going to be a tight squeeze and thinner. You think it might be able to hold all four of you now, but it's going to be a tight squeeze. Elise reaches out with the mage hand and knocks on the door. You hear a tiny voice inside call out to you yes come in, it's not locked.
Speaker 7:Hello, you just push on it and it swings off. It's barely on a hinge.
Speaker 1:The door opens to a slightly dusty space. You can see some shelves on the wall with helmets in varying degrees of creation and you see a small counter at the very back and you see a small creature working on something on the counter. As you enter, the small, tiny, teeny tiny shop.
Speaker 4:Thaddeus is just going to look through the door, see all the helmets, and he's going to wait outside.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I think Elise will continue the conversation through the doorway rather than coming inside.
Speaker 6:Yeah, Shimmer's also not going to go inside after seeing the helmets, but she's going to keep the shape she assumed.
Speaker 7:Uh, hello, I thought someone was there. Did I yell too loud? I'm sorry, hello, what?
Speaker 6:What is with all the helmets?
Speaker 7:Y'all found a helmet.
Speaker 6:What's the goal with them To be worn Uh-huh? Why are they enchanted with the enchantment they have?
Speaker 7:Well, they wouldn't work if they weren't.
Speaker 6:What do?
Speaker 7:you want them to do? I recognize some of them, right? Yes, they wouldn't work if they weren't. What do you want them to do? I recognize some of them, right? Yes, you see me slowly fly from the counter to where I can get to the doorframe and kind of look out. I'm like, oh it's y'all, eh sure no, do you remember when I flew away from y'all when we got here?
Speaker 1:Thaddeus and Elise. Both of your passive perceptions are high enough to recognize this as the wizard fairy who brought you here.
Speaker 3:It was only a few days ago. Of course we remember.
Speaker 7:I don't know. So many people forget stuff in the process of a day. We met for like a whole maybe 15 minutes and then well, it was kind of fun. Well, I'm looking for someone who didn't exist then but does exist now and I found this partially used let's call it a house. The owner didn't need it for much longer, so I requisitioned it and I just started mass producing these with a little bit of magic, a little bit of tinkering. I see the gentleman with the not a war forge understands that. Um well, it's supposed to help me find them and that the enchantment's harmless. Literally once it does what's supposed to, the helmet just disintegrates, no damage to the wearer, nothing of the sort. And if it fails to do so, on whoever, or if the person wearing it expires for whatever reason, the rune helps someone bring it back to me. Speaking of which, I'll toss a platinum to sarah for carrying it back yes, I'll add a platinum to my inventory.
Speaker 7:So no harm, no foul, no damage, no violence, no negative intent. I just really need to find this person for the betterment of well, everything.
Speaker 6:Who is this person? What betterment?
Speaker 7:Their name is Dylan.
Speaker 3:Is there really no better method for finding this person than enchanting a plethora of helmets?
Speaker 7:In a time constraint because I don't know how long we're actually going to be here. So I was trying to think of the most direct, quick and not necessarily illegal way of doing so to bring too much attention, to be fair. I've put out a lot of these, and you're the first people to bring one back.
Speaker 6:Like wouldn't divination be quicker?
Speaker 7:I don't know how to do that.
Speaker 6:The lizard does.
Speaker 7:Who's the lizard Um?
Speaker 1:Shimmer, mm-hmm. Roll me an Arcana check 15. You would remember that one of the main issues with divination previously was that it wasn't working.
Speaker 6:Right Divination's broken, but we got the thing so maybe it started working again. He was looking at bones earlier, wasn't he?
Speaker 3:Why would you assume that Dylan would put on the helmet and then walk here and be more efficient than going out to look for him yourself?
Speaker 7:No, no, no. It turns everyone that puts it on into a Dylan-seeking missile. They go out and they try to find Dylan and then, upon finding Dylan, they activate the sigil and come back to me to let me know where they found him. I mean, if they can put a helmet on, dylan, fantastic.
Speaker 6:Based on what happened with Darius put it on and based on what he said happened. When that shopkeeper put it on, it seemed like it just made people happy and more cooperative, and like they wanted to put helmets on other people, but not like they were. And like they wanted to put helmets on other people, but not like they were looking for something I start going through a book and looking up like I'm pretty sure I inscribed this right um, so you guys spend a few moments uh, talking with fall, this creature who some of you recognize, some of you are new to.
Speaker 1:uh, you learn that, um, the helmets that you put on, you learn that the helmets that you put on, fall was going looking through their sigil book. Fall, your sigil book. Roll me an arcana check Sure.
Speaker 7:Okay, hang on, wait a button.
Speaker 4:Wait before he gets to that. I ask Fall so this helmet? You no longer really need it right now.
Speaker 7:I have shells full. If you wish to do something with that one, feel free.
Speaker 4:Okay, sarah, could you hand me that helmet?
Speaker 2:I'll hand him the helmet.
Speaker 4:I take the helmet.
Speaker 7:I set it on the ground. You're going to smash, it aren't?
Speaker 4:you, I'm going to smash the motherfucker.
Speaker 1:Okay, what are you smashing it with?
Speaker 4:My light hammer.
Speaker 1:Is your light hammer magical? No, alright, roll me an attack. 14. All right, seeing as this is a piece of armor, you guys watch as Thaddeus puts it down, he brings back his hammer and in a mighty swing he thwacks it. Thaddeus, I need you to roll me another attack as your light hammer ricochets back towards you. 13.
Speaker 4:Does 13 beat your AC. It matches my AC, okay.
Speaker 1:You swing your hammer down on top of this magical helm and your hammer is bounced back towards you and you were not expecting this and it thwacks you in the shoulder for two points of bludgeoning damage Done Okay.
Speaker 7:Ow, it seems, helmet. I said you could, I didn't say you'd be able to.
Speaker 1:It seems magical. Items cannot be destroyed by non-magical means.
Speaker 3:What is the significance of this Dylan figure, ah?
Speaker 7:I stop looking through the book and close it Significance. You see, time is wibbly wobbly and sometimes nothing, sometimes everything, sometimes just a pain in the ass for all eternity. So I just thought to myself no, and here we are.
Speaker 3:You're speaking in circles there, creature. No, and here we are. You're speaking in circles there, creature. What drove you to this?
Speaker 7:moment in time. You specifically to seek out this figure, dylan, for this point in time. They're going to destroy the city and bring back a god, elise roll me an insight check Hates.
Speaker 1:You know from first-hand experience that the cult does like. You know that people are trying to destroy the city, but this is the first you're hearing about them bringing back a god.
Speaker 6:I thought it was an entire cult that destroyed the city. What's this? What's the humor is confused.
Speaker 7:I'm not really good with the whole divine spectrum. I'm naturally from the Feywilds as much as I can be, but even there things are known loosely um. But yeah, from what I gather it's one of the gods, something with dead y'alls. I don't really know the details, just the little voice in my head told me I probably should decided to met y'all. It let me out of a cage. We did some things here we are as fall is explaining this to you.
Speaker 1:Uh, with their, their, their non-conformative way of talking, shimmer, you're still outside, correct? Yes, then, thaddeus, are you outside? Yeah, okay, then both of you would notice. You hear the sound of running feet first, and a helmeted individual comes running around the corner towards the shop at like full sprint. They're wearing an apron, they're covered in flour, they look like they were probably just cooking somewhere, but they come like dead on full sprint charging at you guys.
Speaker 6:They're headed right for the doorway I'm going to step to the side and to not get ran over okay, I'm also going to step to the side and not get ran over.
Speaker 4:Also, I'm going to take a swing at that helmet at the helmet they're wearing.
Speaker 1:Yes, yeah, okay, roll me, roll me an attack as they pass you. I guess it would be an attack of opportunity, sure, yeah, just go ahead and roll me a straight attack to bonk their helmet 13.
Speaker 3:Can Elise use telekinesis to push them out of the way of the swing?
Speaker 1:Elise, you're talking with Fall. Roll me a perception check as Thaddeus swings their hammer. 15. Okay, you do see him coming At this point. You all see this person running up on you as they pass Thaddeus. He's going to swing. Roll me a dex check real quick to just we'll see if you're fast enough. 15. Okay, and Thaddeus, a dex check from you, please. 14. Oh, that was so close. Though, elise, you do get to get your spell off as Thaddeus takes a swing.
Speaker 3:Like slow-mo. This guy's running up and here's Thaddeus rearing up to swing his mighty weapon Ball's just flying behind your shoulder watching you, Elise not wanting to go to jail, specifically like sees, the swing pushes this man back just five feet, so like, just far enough to not get hit in the face. Are you pushing them?
Speaker 6:backwards. I thought you were hitting Forwards. I assumed you were going to shove Thaddeus.
Speaker 4:That's not a bad idea it would track, since Thaddeus keeps getting pushed around.
Speaker 3:Yeah, she'll push Thaddeus, so she's swinging. Pushes Thaddeus, so his swing does not connect.
Speaker 1:Okay, you reach out with your psionic power and you push Thaddeus right as he takes a swing. Thaddeus, your hammer just barely misses the helmeted head of this individual. As you slide along the ground, slide along the ground, you stay on your feet and suddenly the baker stops and he stands there and he stares at Fall and you hear him say Dylan has been located.
Speaker 1:And that's where we're going to end the session today. Yay, nice, that's going to be all for now, but when we return next episode, I'm sure that the Time Breakers will continue to impress us.
Speaker 3:Time Breakers. Time Time Breakers.
