Hello and welcome back. I'm Baron Battlebred, your guide through the streets and whispers of Reg 8. Gather round. You lost folk as we spiral back into the Timebreakers, trying to rewrite history and change their fate.
Speaker 2:Timebreakers Time Timebreakers.
Speaker 1:We last left off in an exciting moment where the Silvered Fang had fallen victim to some spoken magic and had joined the cultist, while their friends tried to stop them. Thaddeus and Shimmer, you guys are still hiding back there as Elise has walked down the hallway and taken a seat in the pew to listen to who you believe is Caden Slice. Read aloud from the Holy Book of Sirik. What would you like to do?
Speaker 3:Can I investigate to see what happened to Elise?
Speaker 1:You can roll me an arcana check. Both of you can. Actually, you're both magic casters, excellent.
Speaker 4:An 18?
Speaker 1:19. You both had to make a save previously, a wisdom save, and you know the effects of such magic. Your friend has been charmed. You don't know how strong of a charm it is or what it is exactly, but they are definitely charmed by the individual who was speaking.
Speaker 4:Yeah, Shimmer is immediately going to do the exact thing she did with her nose, with her ears, and basically get rid of them, but make it look like she still has ears.
Speaker 2:Okay. Does she know sign language? Is Thaddeus going to be able to communicate?
Speaker 4:I'm going to say that she does know sign language due to her noble upbringing.
Speaker 1:Does Thaddeus know sign language?
Speaker 2:No, he's just gonna start signing random words.
Speaker 1:Okay, um, just out of curiosity. So you're doing, you're changing your own. Does Thaddeus you have a hood up? Does Thaddeus know that you can't hear him now?
Speaker 4:I'm gonna cast message at him which is telepathic.
Speaker 1:Alright, that's, we'll call that a start and be like plug your ears.
Speaker 3:So I'm going to go ahead and take the cloth that was, you know, draped from my nose and stick it in my ear. Okay, you know, sometimes it's the only thing you've got available. I was just told to plug my ears.
Speaker 1:And that's all the words from your message.
Speaker 4:I'm going to say that I can't hear either.
Speaker 1:Okay, so both of you are now deaf, or at least partially deafened. You know your friend is charmed and you know that there are six other people in that room. What's your plan now that you can't hear each other?
Speaker 4:Shimmer knows charm magic, so she'd know how to break it.
Speaker 1:Okay, the way to break a charmed condition is you either wait it out, or the person who cast the spell or their associations have to damage it somehow the individual. There's another option, but I don't think we have access, damage it somehow, the individual.
Speaker 2:There's another option, but I don't think we have access to it, which is dispel magic.
Speaker 1:Right, you can remove the magic on them, but who knows how well that would go so effectively. To the best of your knowledge, somebody in a ciric robe is going to have to walk up and smack Elise.
Speaker 4:Oh wait, someone else with a cirric robe, which this is tricky, possibly could work badly.
Speaker 3:Pull out the bag of holding, the trash bag of holding, and throw it down the hall.
Speaker 1:Oh God, the trash bag of holding and throw it down the hall.
Speaker 4:Oh god, I was gonna suggest I could cast Proud of Madness on one of the random cultists Like either Malachi or Luna.
Speaker 1:Malachi. Malachi I like Malachi, we're gonna stick with.
Speaker 4:Malachi.
Speaker 5:Yay, malachi, malachi, not the.
Speaker 1:Malachi we're gonna, we're gonna stick with milwaukee, milwaukee not the milwaukee, okay, so since neither of you can hear, neither of you can tell each other what your plan is and shimmer shimmer doesn't have a nose, so she's not going to smell that you pull out this bag.
Speaker 4:She is keeping an eye on Thaddeus as well.
Speaker 3:But it's still closed so it's not emanating any smell. I'm just throwing the bag down Because I also want to get rid of the damn thing.
Speaker 1:Okay, so you're going to take out this bag Of holding and you're going to Chuck it down into the space there. Are you doing this through like?
Speaker 3:are you trying to Trying to do this as stealthily as possible?
Speaker 1:Okay and Shimmer, you're keeping an eye on Thaddeus, but you want to cast Crown of Madness.
Speaker 4:I was going to, until I got distracted by whatever the fuck he's doing.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay, so you're not casting. Crown of Madness.
Speaker 3:I'm gonna do this after Shimmer's getting ready to cast Crown of Madness, so that way Shimmer's not distracted.
Speaker 4:Really.
Speaker 3:Because it's gonna take it takes me time to actually open up Sarah and grab the bag. That's why Okay.
Speaker 4:I don't actually want to cast Crown of Madness first. I want to know what your plan is out of character before we decide what we're doing.
Speaker 5:No no no, no, no no.
Speaker 1:You guys have willfully deafened yourselves.
Speaker 2:Part of the problem is you specifically cannot communicate as though we normally can.
Speaker 1:There's no whisper yelling here.
Speaker 4:There's no tapping someone on the shoulder and just except maybe message message still kind of works yeah, we still have message, which is what I've been using okay, well, yeah, I'm just throwing the head down now.
Speaker 3:That's awesome.
Speaker 1:You're just going for it.
Speaker 3:I'm just going for it now.
Speaker 1:Got it. Okay so first roll me a strength check, Second, roll me a stealth check.
Speaker 3:That's going to be an eight for strength and a seven for stealth.
Speaker 4:I'd like to cast invisibility on both of us.
Speaker 1:Just you two Okay.
Speaker 4:Well, I can only cast it on two people, yep, so you cast invisibility as Thaddeus throws a bag down the hallway.
Speaker 3:Okay, Let me just here's hoping the draw string isn't loose.
Speaker 1:Okay, thaddeus, you managed to throw the bag about halfway down the hallway. Question that I have for you uh, this is a bag of holding, correct? Yes, so even if the drawstring is loose, this won't matter. You've just chucked a bag down a hallway and now you're invisible would I know that I'm invisible?
Speaker 3:I don't know I think you.
Speaker 4:it would have been funny if you watched your arm yeet that thing and as it did, it just slowly turned invisible in front of you.
Speaker 1:Right, so the bag is down the hallway. You and Shimmer are now invisible. Your steel defender is standing there, compartment open, just waiting for orders. While this is going on, elise, you are currently sitting in a pew listening to Kaven Slythe speak, and he's making a lot of sense. You're like, yeah, we should complete this ritual, and I know that we need to complete it quickly, and when we do, we're going to release the one true God. There's no reason not to do it.
Speaker 2:Inner head also. I already know this works. I've seen it happen before, so obviously he is successful, because he's supposed to be successful.
Speaker 1:Oh gosh, you're right because he's supposed to be successful. Oh gosh, you're right. Whoa, I just that. Do you relay this information?
Speaker 2:No, I think even Charmed at least has enough sense to not say her thoughts out loud.
Speaker 3:If I'm invisible, can I make sounds and not break invisibility?
Speaker 1:You can make noises technically, but anything that requires a check or an attack like you can break invisibility pretty easily, but I think you just making noise should be fine.
Speaker 3:Because I want to try to get Malakai's attention. Should be fine.
Speaker 2:Because I want to try to get Malaki's attention, Although, although maybe Charmed right, so she is Charmed she is temporarily fanatical, right.
Speaker 1:Temporarily. Yes, this guy's making a lot of sense to you and he wouldn't steer you wrong.
Speaker 2:He's your friend. Her being fanatical would probably lower her inhibitions, even even lower than than they normally are, so maybe she does like walk up and say I, I've seen this, this come to fruition. You are absolutely correct, kind of thing okay um it's just a thing that makes sense.
Speaker 1:I think you are fanatical and you know that the future is successful, but why don't you give me a religion check to see if he wants to know this information or if he just wants to believe in the future? 13 I was hoping for higher numbers or or lower numbers, you know, like real, real definitive numbers, real definitive numbers. A 13, um, a 13 does not meet the 15 where I would tell you what to do, so I'm going to leave this to you. Does Elise tell Caden Slythe that he is successful?
Speaker 6:I have seen this time your ritual, our ritual, comes to fruition. It is true, I have seen it with my own eyes. You have defined this, have you? I have firsthand knowledge and experience with a world where Sirik is powerful, he's steel, he grabs regate for his own and brings it to a world other than this one.
Speaker 1:As make me a persuasion check with advantage, because this is what he wants to hear. One, two, two Nice. You see, as Kaven Slythe shuts the book that he's reading from and a massive creepy grin just appears on his face and he gestures for you to come up beside him.
Speaker 5:He's like dude, please share your thoughts, share your visions, tell us of this world.
Speaker 3:While that's going on, I'm trying to make sounds to get Malaki's attention to look at the bag.
Speaker 1:Okay, your invisible self is peeking around the corner, I guess, as you watch as Elise steps up and starts speaking to the group, what kind of noises are you making to get? What noises are you making?
Speaker 3:What to get Malaki's attention. Yes, it's okay, you can say it, it's Malaki.
Speaker 1:Just what are you doing so that I can't make you roll for it, you sneaky bastard?
Speaker 3:I'm going to do that whistly jaunt. You're going to.
Speaker 2:Do you think you can hit the notes?
Speaker 1:Jeez.
Speaker 3:It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be close enough.
Speaker 1:I am going to ask you to roll me a performance check with disadvantage.
Speaker 3:How about Arcana?
Speaker 1:Nope, nope, this will be performance, and I'm going to set this at a 12. It's a magical whistle.
Speaker 3:Ignore that that was.
Speaker 5:That's roll number one.
Speaker 3:Well, we'll just do another flat dice and we'll go with that. And you said that you were setting it at a 10?.
Speaker 1:I said 12, and unfortunately, that 11 does not make it 12 and unfortunately, that 11 does not make it. Elise, you stand up next to Cave and Scythe and you turn towards the people and you start explaining everything. You start explaining what you know, how the festival happens, how, on the last day, as the eclipse comes in, just the plan goes off, as far as you know, without a hitch. The people are sacrificed, the city spinning through the planes of existence to land in the desolate world of limbo, and then suddenly you just hear echoing down the hallway a slightly out-of-tune whistle. That is just a little bit too loud. You don't see anybody down there. But roll me a perception check, as all I'm going to roll.
Speaker 1:Some, as well as all heads are going to turn towards the hallway 19. Nice, let's see One, two, three, 4, 5, 6 of these 12, 1, 10, 4, 20, and 12. Okay, so, funnily enough, out of all the people, cave and Scythe does not turn his head. He's enraptured by your story. Dalton and Kippy, the two people in the front row they turn and glance back, but they don't see anything. Malachi, risa and Luna turn and they all spot the bag at the same time that you do. Malachi is going to get up and walk towards it and he's going to pick up the bag and turn towards you as you're giving your speech, elise, and he's going to hold up the bag and make a did-you-drop-this-on-your-way-in gesture.
Speaker 2:How would Elise respond to this, being fanatical Does?
Speaker 4:Elise know about the trash bag of holding. I don't think either Elise or Shimmer knows about it.
Speaker 3:No, nobody knows about the trash bag of holding, but Elise knows that there is a bag of holding that has a lot of gold in it and Elise may be fanatical, but Elise might still have, you know, an inkling of wanting money.
Speaker 1:If that's the bag of gold she'll go for it With your 19,. That it does look familiar.
Speaker 6:No one else touched that bag, it is mine. Yeah, drop it Malachi.
Speaker 1:Malachi is just going to bring it to you and go back to his seat.
Speaker 2:At least he'll take a look inside or maybe reach inside. I don't know how bags of holdings work all that well.
Speaker 1:Okay, so you're going to open the bag? Yeah, Alright, I need you to roll me a constitution save, as you were assaulted by a horrible, horrible stench of rotting flesh 13. That's not going to make it. This bag has become a massive stink bomb. Dalton, Kippy and Kaven are all going to roll. Kaven makes it, the other two don't have you ever smelled something so absolutely terrible that you can like taste it?
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Right and you go to breathe in and suddenly you start gagging, despite your better knowledge of the instance. And every time you breathe in it happens again and again. Elise, dalton and Kippy are going to fall to their knees, retching on the floor as Elise has pulled out the rotten and severed head of a poor lady and cave and slight is just going to be standing above you, his hand over his face. He's going to stare at you like what is the meaning of this?
Speaker 4:maybe that breaks his concentration this is not supposed to be in the concentration. Concentration. This is not supposed to be my bag.
Speaker 6:My bag has gold in it.
Speaker 3:So, uh, does that retching kind of I don't know break a charm spell? Uh, let's see.
Speaker 4:It was given to her by one of the cultists.
Speaker 2:It's an attack from the cultists.
Speaker 1:Um, you know what? You stuck your hand in it. Roll me another con save disgusting. I'm gonna see if you get poisoned. That's eight, yeah, uh, you have stuck your hand in the bag and you have pulled out the rotting head. Uh, and unfortunately, that head had been festering. Not well, not only has it been festering, but it has been examined several times by Sarah as they have attempted to figure out how a jaw works.
Speaker 1:And you have now pricked your finger on a shard of bone of the festering head and, having failed your con save, you are going to take one point of piercing damage and you are now poisoned that's rancid, having been handed the bag by Malachi. I am going to agree in this instance that you lose the charm effect that Cave and Slythe has placed upon you. You are now standing at the front of the altar with the main bad guy being stared at by everyone. You know you were charmed and now you're holding a severed head and poisoned.
Speaker 3:I'd like to take the time real quickly to point out that it was Elise that said don't go in there in the first place.
Speaker 2:Oh, that poison is much more devastating than I think anyone is realizing, because that's disadvantage it is.
Speaker 1:The question is silvered fang. You will now have the captive audience of six cultists, including one of their higher-ups. What would you like to do with this instance?
Speaker 2:Probably lie.
Speaker 1:You do know what you were doing. You know that you were regaling them with the tale of the future that you come from.
Speaker 6:You see, this to fruition. My brothers, we must make haste to the old ritual chamber. It is the only space that all ritual will be enacted properly. The old chamber, yes, it is the closest area to Sirik himself, the closest-.
Speaker 5:The chamber with the monster, Eddie.
Speaker 6:No, I had my ship. Destroy the monster so that we may perform the ritual in safety.
Speaker 1:You defeated the monster. I'm sorry. Can you put the head back in the bag, please, so I can take my hand off my face, she'll put the head back in the bag.
Speaker 5:Cool, thank you.
Speaker 6:The Silvered Fang has no limits. It's amazing.
Speaker 1:Well, you heard him.
Speaker 4:I'm gonna drag Sarah. Wait, I feel like Sarah and Thaddeus and Shimmer should go in the opposite direction of where they're going, like back towards the entrance at this point. Yeah, so Shimmer is going to grab both Thaddeus and Sarah and message Thaddeus back to the entrance.
Speaker 3:Thaddeus filling the tug and hearing the message. Yeah, he's just just gonna go with it. He did all he could think to do and he finally got rid of that disgusting head.
Speaker 1:It's so fucking gross. Val at least has it. Um, okay, Um. You watch as Cave and Slythe yeah, so, Shimmer and Thaddeus and Sarah are going to be moving out of the way, but you watch as Cave and Slythe packs up his book, grabs his bag, grabs an effigy off the altar and he's going to be like, well, you heard him, you heard them. I should say You're wearing a mask. They don't know what you are.
Speaker 5:You heard them. Grab your stuff, grab the things. We must go back to the old chamber. Yeah, I knew it was in the right place when we built it never should have summoned that monster. This is it, boys.
Speaker 1:We're preparing for it a few more days and he hugs his book to his chest and kind of runs away. Uh, I believe the word here would be giddy with excitement. You haven't heard a hardened criminal giggle before, but he's doing it down the hallway. Shimmer and Thaddeus, as you make your way out of the room and away from the main area so that you know they're not going to run into you, you hear a squee. I can't do it. You hear this squee of a too excited individual unable to make an actual noise run past you. So interesting, Interesting. This is not what I expected to happen, but all six of the cultists are going to make their way out and you're back into the sewers now and they run off down the hallway. Elise, are you following them?
Speaker 2:I think at this point she really has to, or actually.
Speaker 3:You pretty much just sent them to a chamber with a monster that you said was dead but is still alive.
Speaker 4:Monster is dead. Nope, it's dead.
Speaker 5:Oh.
Speaker 4:Unfortunately.
Speaker 1:Well, Thaddeus and Shimmer don't know that.
Speaker 2:Is it? Is it dead Because it just shrunk away? No, it was still. You know what they say in movies If you don't, see no body no death. Yeah, no body, no death.
Speaker 4:There was a body, though there was a body.
Speaker 2:It sunk into the ocean. It's how I remember it.
Speaker 3:It returned to the sea as it was foretold.
Speaker 1:As the god of the universe. I will point out that during that session, I made a roll for what happened if it died or if it escaped, and unfortunately it died. We saw the body. The body was seen. Yes, uh, lindsey and the pirates, uh, have you dismantled it? So you're sending them to an empty chamber, but a chamber nonetheless. So what? Um, you're following them, correct?
Speaker 2:Before she follows them, she's going to look around this room for anything she can find. That would give her more information about A, the ritual, b, the cultists or C. Maybe some way to stop these cultists ahead of time.
Speaker 1:There does not, you know what, actually roll me an investigation.
Speaker 2:Even with advantage 17. 17 17.
Speaker 1:You look around this room and, while you don't, this room looks like it's easy to move. You're willing to bet that they don't meet in the same place repeatedly, in the sense that nothing in here seems permanent. The chairs were brought in, the pe uh, the nothing in here seems permanent. The chairs were brought in, the pews were brought in. The altar itself is just some crates with a, with a thing with a drape draped over it. Uh, you'd be willing to bet that the two most important things were the book and the effigy that craven slith took took with him. Everything else was left behind, so you assume that they are not as important. The only things that he needs, he took with him.
Speaker 2:Elise will follow behind them. Unfortunately, she's poisoned and that's a big problem.
Speaker 5:How long is the poison?
Speaker 1:It's going to last for an hour. Okay, about an hour. If Elise is the poison, it's going to last for an hour. Okay, about an hour.
Speaker 3:If Elise is the last one out, Thaddeus would like to reach out to try to. You know, stop, Elise.
Speaker 1:Is Elise the last one out? Yeah, okay, elise is the last one out. Are you going to get in Elise's way or are you going to try and grab him? I'm going to get in the way. Okay, elise. You step out to follow the group and you run into an invisible wall.
Speaker 2:She'll try and say as quietly as she can.
Speaker 6:Is that Shimmer, or is that his or Sarah Hold?
Speaker 2:on hold on, Hold on. Let me know she wouldn't say their names out loud. She's not fanatical anymore.
Speaker 4:I would like, once they moved past, the cultists moved past, Shimmer did return her ears to normal so she can hear again.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, can you be able to hear me? So Elise is going to out loud say.
Speaker 6:Indeed confirmation that you are who I think you are.
Speaker 4:Shimmer, who is also approached with Thaddeus, will respond with yes, we are who I think you are. Shimmer, who is also approached with Thaddeus, will respond with yes, we are who we say we are.
Speaker 3:I use the secret code, word surprise Surprise.
Speaker 4:Do we have a secret code word? If we do, then Shimmer will also use it.
Speaker 3:No, we don't. I was just saying that because it confirms that you know, because I was looking for a shortcake, that bastard controlled my mind.
Speaker 6:He is more dead now than he was an hour ago.
Speaker 3:Could you take the mask off and speak to me, please, all right.
Speaker 2:So she takes the mask off because the rest of the cultists are out of sight right At this point. Yes, they know where they're going. What a damned.
Speaker 6:Oh my fury is greater now than I can say has ever been in my entire life.
Speaker 3:This man will die by my hand, great Good, let's. Uh, we need to figure out what we're going to do next.
Speaker 4:Yeah, we need a plan, A plan to take him down. I think.
Speaker 2:Unfortunately, I'm not exactly feeling well and while I am grateful, at the same time I have only you to thank for that disgusting tactic.
Speaker 4:Where did you get ahead, by the way?
Speaker 3:I'll explain later. We really need to get out of here right now and we need to figure out what our next move is going to be, or we need to do whatever our next move is going to be, I don't know. We just need to get out of here. Well, I'm sure they're expecting me to follow. If you want to follow them, go ahead. You have the sending stone. Just again, concentrate on who you want to send a message to Try not to get charmed again.
Speaker 2:Also, uh, avoid very thick walls what sort of plan are you thinking for our ambush?
Speaker 4:or actually we could switch, switch like you said. Uh, you are injured and poisoned, it seems. Seems from that stupid head.
Speaker 3:I can go in.
Speaker 4:I'm not feeling well, okay, so Shimmer you can take it, I'm going to change my appearance to look like Elise.
Speaker 2:Luckily, you just have to look like the Silver Fang.
Speaker 4:Well, I'm going to change my appearance to look like the Silver Fang. Then, if it's different than it's just the mask.
Speaker 2:Basically with um, in this case it was the robes, but underneath the robes was the kind of leather outfits. It's a she has a quick change maneuver with that persona would shimmer, know how to read lips maybe she would like.
Speaker 3:She's probably did the deafened thing before once again, let's say that she could read she knows sign language she can mute herself, deafen herself roll me unintelligence
Speaker 1:check oh, that's a nine shimmer has tried, but she has not quite got the hang of reading lips yet all right, okay, that's, uh, I have shimmer is gonna relay that information to them.
Speaker 3:I'm thinking that what we really need to do is we need to follow them and figure out where they're going. And well, we know where they're going, but we need to get. We do.
Speaker 4:Thaddeus and Chimer do not know where they're going because we didn't hear basically anything.
Speaker 3:Well, when I say we I mean, elise knows where they're going as the Silver Fang, and what we need is we need an army, basically, and I'm thinking Lord Corvatash has to have some loyalists.
Speaker 4:We do also have the pirates. Do they deal with?
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, we do have those pirates.
Speaker 4:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Who are the pirates?
Speaker 4:Apparently. They're friends with Lindsay, that cleric we helped.
Speaker 2:Oh, a scary lady Got with yeah or 12 deaths, I should say well, I decided my lady, that I refuse to allow yourself to be put in danger and I will go as the silver fang. Here is the map. Um shit, how would? How would at least be able to draw a map With sleight of hand or performance. Okay, let's do it. Sleight of hand, she's going to draw a map on.
Speaker 1:Unless you have cartography skills.
Speaker 2:She does not. She has forgery skills. Nah, it's not the same, Nah. So 17 to draw a map very quickly. Being some loose papers that are around, or using her own tools in her bag, she draws a map. You all find Korvatash and perhaps any loyalists, the pirate crew, and this is where I will be.
Speaker 3:Thaddeus looks at that and I'm sure he'll understand, considering that he has seen really terrible handwriting before. If it is bad, if it's actually surprisingly good, then yeah, no problem. Nah, it's pretty good.
Speaker 1:A 17 is pretty good for writing Wrong.
Speaker 4:Do not get charmed again.
Speaker 2:Well, I can always count on you to break me free. Elise is giving a very rare smile before she vanishes into the distance, returning her mask.
Speaker 4:May I suggest you also put some form of your plugs in, if you can read lips.
Speaker 3:Uh, elise, here, take these and I'd give them the rags that I've been using you won't even catch it.
Speaker 2:As you throw it, she's not even gonna catch it, she's gonna let it fall on the floor. Gross Thaddeus, I'm sure Elise has some wax in her bag or something where she can plug her ears.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you have a forgery kit, which means that you would have the wax for stamps, if nothing else.
Speaker 3:So yeah, thaddeus is going to turn to Shimmer and I'm just going to say, all right, we need to get out of here and we need to meet up with Lord.
Speaker 4:Corvitesh.
Speaker 1:Lord Hundred Stealth Corvitesh.
Speaker 3:It would be nice if we also had Louis Ignatius Zephyr, arcane, reader of Divination. I already have inspiration.
Speaker 2:I had Louis Ignatius Zephyr, arcane, reader of Divination. I already have inspiration. He would be good. He would be definitely very handy in this situation. But the main reason why Elise is going in with the cultists is so that we don't lose sight of them.
Speaker 1:Okay, so Elise is going to head off, make their way down the tunnels. Why don't you go ahead and roll me Perception?
Speaker 2:Perception is 16.
Speaker 1:You just barely catch a glimpse as they make a turn down at the end of the tunnel. But you're right, they will only be out of your sight for a moment Because, Elise, leaving behind Shimmer, Sarah and Thaddeus, you make your way up past where you got two of your cloaks, but you make your way to the tunnel where you see six cultists standing there staring into the tunnel.
Speaker 2:You said, Elise sees this right, yes there staring into the tunnel. You said Elise sees this right.
Speaker 1:Yes, you see, craven and his group are staring into the tunnel talking with each other.
Speaker 6:Don't tell me you all are afraid, afraid. The leaders of Sirik know to fear nothing.
Speaker 1:It's not fear, it's perplexion as to why this fresh body is lying here.
Speaker 4:Oh yeah, I forgot is lying here. Oh yeah, I forgot about that corpse.
Speaker 6:Obviously, the monster had one last meal before I vanquished it All the way up here.
Speaker 4:It's got very long tentacles.
Speaker 6:It's a delayed wound.
Speaker 1:It's a delayed wound. It's a delayed wound. Roll me a deception. Check, fuck off.
Speaker 6:A delayed wound See, he was bleeding out after his attack. The monster didn't manage to get his body.
Speaker 1:Oh my god. No, the rolls are so low. My rolls are lower. One seven, seven, eight, four.
Speaker 2:No, your rolls aren't lower, mine are. I got four and two.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but you have a fucking plus eleven. I don't have that on insight to any of them. What do you mean? The highest I got was a nine. What?
Speaker 6:as anyone can see, he was stabbed by the monster. In an attempt to evade, he ran through this tunnel bleeding, and his wound caught up to him and he bled out. In an attempt to evade, he ran through this tunnel bleeding.
Speaker 1:And his wound caught up to him and he bled out. I mean, I guess, jump his body in the sewer, let's move they. I'm going to say they don't fully believe you, like the like the way of this. They have nothing to dispute you with, though, like they have no reason not to believe you, but the story just sounds so far fetched that obviously it must be true.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, the other part that's pretty far fetched is that the silver thing was able to kill the monster in the first place.
Speaker 1:You said you had a ship. Yeah, they like. I mean, if you take a ship against a monster, you have a good chance of winning. A ship means people and people mean victory.
Speaker 5:Or food, or food.
Speaker 1:They're a bunch of cultists. They know that the more people you have, the more likely you are to win the math checks out. But yeah, okay, just once I would like to roll an insight check. That actually is insightful, but even with six rolls I still failed. So they start making their way down the tunnel with you. It's gonna take. It'll take less time to run down the tunnel than it did for you to sneak up here, so, but you know it will take a bit of time. So, while that's going on, thaddeus, shimmer, sarah Thaddeus Well, I guess Thaddeus and Shimmer with Sarah Thaddeus. Well, I guess Thaddeus and Shimmer with Sarah, following what's going on with you guys.
Speaker 4:We're exiting the sewers.
Speaker 3:We're exiting the sewers and our plan is to make our way to Lord Corvatash.
Speaker 4:I would like to dispose of our cloaks, by the way, yep.
Speaker 3:Mine wasn't really fitting anyway, so it's all good.
Speaker 5:Okay.
Speaker 1:So you're just gonna lose the cloak and make your way out of the sewer? Yep, okay, you head out of the sewer the way you came correct.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:Okay, door's locked.
Speaker 3:All right, that part.
Speaker 5:Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna try it.
Speaker 1:She left the body behind. You guys forgot. The door was locked.
Speaker 4:I'm gonna try and pick the lock, even though she's never tried that before.
Speaker 1:Um sure, go ahead and give me a sleight of hand, roll 18. Yeah, that works. The lock clicks open and Shimmer has successfully picked the lock and opened the gate. You make your way out.
Speaker 3:I'm going to close and lock the door on the uh, or at least close and make it look like it's locked. Don't need somebody coming by and saying that it was unlocked again. Not like we'll be here to deal with that yeah, well, I want to make sure that Elise has all you know, doesn't have any suspicion true okay, so you guys are headed for Lord Corvitash.
Speaker 1:Elise is making their way down the tunnel with the rest of the cultists, and I think that is going to be a good spot to end today's session.
Speaker 3:Ooh, the plot thickens.
Speaker 4:Once again, the party is split up.
Speaker 1:Once again, the party has split, but that's going to be all for now, and when we return next episode, I'm sure the Time Breakers will continue to impress us.
Speaker 2:Time Breakers. Time Breakers.
Speaker 1:You can come join the Discord Link is in the description and help us build the city from the inside. Or maybe tell Thaddeus that throwing the severed head of an individual that was stolen from a graveyard may not be the best way to wake up a friend from charm. It worked, didn't it? You can leave a rating, leave a review and tell us how you really feel. Thanks for listening.
