prayer can be very intimidating to people, and especially if you're a newer Christian, you just don't. There's not a handbook, right? Other than the Bible. And and like you said, Jesus teaches us how to pray, right. And so it's and there's really not I can't emphasize this more is there's not a right and there's not a wrong right.

00;00;23;04 - 00;00;43;13
Leigh Ann
Hey, friends. Welcome. Welcome to the well-grounded podcast. So glad to have you. Join us today. If this is your first time joining us, we are Leanne and Diane, and we are two longtime friends sharing about life, about marriage, about motherhood, all the things, our walks with the Lord, all of that.

00;00;43;13 - 00;01;00;28
Leigh Ann
And today we have a great topic that we have been wanting to share with you all and ready to jump into that in just a minute. But we just wanted to make sure that if this is your first time with us, that you find us on Instagram and all the things and you're always welcome, this is this is what we do.

00;01;00;29 - 00;01;18;12
Leigh Ann
We just hang out and talk and and so we think we should invite all of our friends and people that don't know us yet to come and do this with us. So we're excited to be here. And today's topic is prayer. So has yes, it's so broad. We're not going to cover it all in in a half hour.

00;01;18;18 - 00;01;39;00
Leigh Ann
We just want to be able to, share some things that have really made a difference in our prayer lives, some insights, and with our kids and being able to share that with others. So, but before we do, guess what time it is?
Diane
Time for our latte moment.
Leigh Ann
And I have almost finished my entire one before we even started. So good.

00;01;39;05 - 00;02;07;23
Diane
Today is really interesting because we are going to take our latte moment with a Kenyan tea, and we made this, before starting our episode today. And it's really interesting because this summer, my family and I, we took a trip to Kenya and we were able to see so many interesting, so cool sister in law has a ministry over there called blue Sky global and she is doing fantastic things.

00;02;07;23 - 00;02;29;17
Diane
And then we also, of course, went on a safari and all that is so cool and we just enjoy Kenyan almost every day. I have to say it, it must have been every day. So you're probably asking what is candy? So Kenyan cannot be more simple. we're going to be putting this in our notes today, so you'll be able to, you know, read and see how to make this recipe.

00;02;29;17 - 00;02;47;20
Diane
But trust me, it's very simple. So you're going to take one part of tea, one part of milk, and add a little bit of sugar. And that makes your Kenyan tea. So as you can see it's kind of like it's real caramel color. It's really good. And as Leigh Ann can attest, it's really it's so good.
Leigh Ann
I'm so picky, you guys, this stuff is delicious. Please, please try it.

00;02;47;20 - 00;03;09;15
Diane
One of the things that when we are on, safari, we're able to go and see a maasai tribe. You are on the Maasai, area to just witness and see. And it's just neat to see how tea is such a part of culture over there. Right? So tea is their biggest export. Oh, interesting world. And are.

00;03;09;17 - 00;03;28;21
Diane
We've been visited at Tea Farm. so it was so cool to see how that was made, how it was grown. Some things I will just tell you I'll never take for granted a tea bag, because what it takes to get the tea. Oh, wow. Wow. It's just really special to know that now. So it's something special in my heart.

00;03;28;21 - 00;03;47;14
Diane
And I wanted to share that with it.
Leigh Ann
Well, it's delicious too. So good good good stuff. Awesome awesome.
Diane
Well thank you. Yeah. So today our topic we're going to be covering prayer. Prayer to me is essential to life. we have so many different things that we're going to share just about how our lives have evolved around prayer.

00;03;47;16 - 00;04;07;08
Diane
I would definitely call you one of my prayer warriors. we're going to same friend. Same. And how vital that is. You know, when you're doing different things, how important it is to have those people in your life that you can always trust and go to, right? There are struggles when there are times that are hard. I mean, it's definitely different.

00;04;07;11 - 00;04;19;11
Diane
and all the things that are going on in the world around us. so I know, I know, it's a, it's a topic close to your heart as well.
Leigh Ann
Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. And it is one of those things that I think

00;04;19;11 - 00;04;27;24
Leigh Ann
there's an assumption, a false assumption that if you love God, you should be great at prayer, you should be super comfortable praying.

00;04;28;00 - 00;04;56;09
Leigh Ann
And it's actually can be kind of a roadblock for people. They get, they worry, am I, you know, just saying it right? Am I asking God for too much or too little? And we've referenced that on the show before, like it's something like too small to pray for, too big to pray for. So what We want to kind of dispel a little bit of the mystique of it today, a little bit of the misunderstandings about that and say, here's, here's really all it is.

00;04;56;12 - 00;05;21;17
Leigh Ann
I'm going to summarize it for you right now. Prayer is conversation with God. So literally what we are doing here in our podcast of talking with each other, having conversation, that's all prayer is. And there are some tips and there are some amazing passages of Scripture that reference that and sort of teach us how to pray. The people closest to Jesus even said, teach us how to pray.

00;05;21;17 - 00;05;41;25
Leigh Ann
We don't know how to do this. Well, we they see Jesus praying. He even prayed, he is God and he prayed. So there's definitely something about that communion about that back and forth in that conversation. So I'm really excited. I'm excited to get to share kind of our favorite things about this topic. And then kind of builds on that.

00;05;44;10 - 00;06;02;20
Diane
I think what you said is true, prayer can be very intimidating to people, and especially if you're a newer Christian, you just don't. There's not a handbook, right? Other than the Bible. And and like you said, Jesus teaches us how to pray, right. And so it's and there's really not I can't emphasize this more is there's not a right and there's not a wrong way.

00;06;02;23 - 00;06;12;27
Diane
And your prayer is not going to be rejected. Sent it to the father like it's you've got to just kind of step out in faith and just be bold in your prayer some time.

00;06;12;27 - 00;06;31;28
Leigh Ann
Right? Right. And that in those conversations, there's just like any other biblical practice, whether it's, you know, the first time you read the Bible and you don't really understand everything you're reading, but the more you do it, the more context you have around it and you feel more confident in it.

00;06;31;28 - 00;06;57;23
Leigh Ann
Prayer is like that. The more you do it, the more confidence is built into it. Because you're comfortable, it's literally like making a new friend that you haven't talked to that much, and then you talk to them more and it's just easier. You're kind of picking up where you left off. You're you're stepping into that.
Diane
Something that I also think about too is like sometimes think about prayer in the eyes of a child, you know, and how you can have that childlike faith.

00;06;57;25 - 00;07;21;12
Diane
Right. And remember those early days when you would say the bedtime prayers with your kids, or you would say grace at dinner? And, you know, it was simple. Yes. Sometimes over complicated. We sometimes think, oh, it's got to be all these things, right? All these extra things and it doesn't. And so keep it in that simplicity to know that God just wants to hear from us, right?

00;07;21;15 - 00;07;36;22
Diane
Wants to know what's in our heart.
Leigh Ann
We are his children and he loves us. And he created this set up for prayer so that we can communicate with him so that we can draw closer to him. And one of the things you mentioned with kids,

00;07;36;22 - 00;07;43;09
Leigh Ann
I remember when we were doing, those early praying with littles, you model it for them.

00;07;43;09 - 00;08;01;12
Leigh Ann
You say, okay, you repeat after me, dear Jesus, dear Jesus, I love you, I love you. You know, you give them the actual words to say and they just copy you. I said, that's often something that we we would say to our kids and show them how to do it. That's literally what Jesus did for his disciples too with the Lord's Prayer.

00;08;01;14 - 00;08;08;25
Leigh Ann
The most famous prayer. You know, our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. You know, like we've we're just copying what he told us to say.

00;08;08;25 - 00;08;24;01
Leigh Ann
So building from that, building from that, we want to give you some of our favorite things that have sort of improved or strengthened, enhanced, enhanced. That's good. So enhanced our own personal prayer lives in that.

00;08;24;01 - 00;08;49;15
Diane
So. Okay, let's see you want to start. Okay.
Diane
I know for me, a lot of times I have been able to, use prayer chains. I definitely, have a group of friends that I can, text them at anytime, day or night. And there is a struggle or something going on. I also know that I can't, you know, a lot of times I must email out prayer requests.

00;08;49;18 - 00;09;12;28
Diane
Yes. So, to me, I love having that record, even if it's in a text thread. Right? It's really neat to sometimes to go back and review that and just see how, prayers have been answered, right? When you have worked with your children and, struggle and you've asked for that prayer and to be able to go back and just share that with your friends to say, you know, God answered that prayer.

00;09;12;28 - 00;09;43;22
Diane
And that's even almost more important sometimes than the prayer itself. It's true that the prayer was answered, right? God that right,
Leigh Ann
right, right. Yes. We don't want to. We don't. It's not a trying to take credit for it or oh, we did this. But literally texting and typing out the prayer. I think we've talked about this on an episode before, but typing it out and seeing it, there's something about visually, it's like how God gave us his word that being able to read His Word, there's so much comfort in that.

00;09;43;24 - 00;10;08;08
Leigh Ann
And so journaling or writing things out, or texting out your prayer requests and somebody just reads it and says, hey, God, let me bring this before you. Let me pray for my friend here. So you see that? Yeah,
Diane
I really like having, you know, when you and you can go back and reread those, you know what? There is a struggle or something going on, or when there's a celebration and you're just praying for all the great things that are happening, it's great to be able to have that.

00;10;08;08 - 00;10;09;21
Diane
To go back to.

00;10;09;21 - 00;10;27;08
Diane
I also think it's important that when, you know, sometimes you'll say to your friends, you'll say, oh, I'll pray for you, or I'll do that and just literally just stop and pray, right? Right. Don't put it off. If you're in the car, maybe not. Close your eyes, but, you know, just say it out loud in the car.

00;10;27;11 - 00;10;49;28
Diane
It doesn't matter who's with you. Yes, you can go and, you know, just, you know, do it right? Right.
Leigh Ann
Not to forget, that was a big game changer for me. Was not to say I'll do that later, but to go ahead and just take even if it's a short like a 30 second one minute, those little short prayers can be some of the most powerful ones, because we're not letting it just run around in our heads.

00;10;49;28 - 00;10;52;26
Leigh Ann
We're actually speaking that out. Yeah,

00;10;52;26 - 00;11;12;07
Diane
well, I'll share a really interesting story. Something that happened in our life, was with, my father, Roy. He was he is a missionary, and he was in the jungles of South America, and he was 300 miles back in the jungles, and he was having to leave on a very small plane to get back to the city.

00;11;12;09 - 00;11;30;18
Diane
And this is way back before we had cellphones and things. So, they were missionaries for over 44 years. Oh my gosh. So a lot of the communication has improved since then. But during that time, the only way we can know about things is there would be a phone call and we would kind of it would be kind of sometimes broken because the signal wasn't really good.

00;11;30;21 - 00;11;47;27
Diane
And we got a phone call from, Tim's mom, and she was sharing about, that where we needed to leave the the village. And there's a lot of storms in the area, and they didn't know if she was going to be able if he was going to be able to get out. So I said, well, you know, we'll definitely be praying and, and everything.

00;11;47;27 - 00;12;06;03
Diane
Well, when I got off the phone, you know, I, I kind of have a visual of what that airstrip was like. It was it's kind of narrow your there's water on one side and, you know, a lot of trees on the other. So, I mean, it's kind of a dangerous space. And so he had to, you know, leave in there storms in the area.

00;12;06;03 - 00;12;25;15
Diane
It's not an easy thing. So I just prayed and I said, Lord, please part the clouds. I literally am so that the plane can just fly through. He can get to the city. It's about an hour flight, you know, get get to the city and be safe and things. And so, you know, it's hard. You didn't know what happened.

00;12;25;15 - 00;12;48;27
Diane
This was my prayer. So maybe about six hours later, we did get a phone call from Margaret, and she said that, he arrived safely. Everything was great. And I said, that's really cool. And she goes, you know, it was really interesting when I got off the plane and came home, he said that it was really, really crazy, that literally it was like the clouds, the parted, and one side of the clouds on the plane.

00;12;48;27 - 00;13;08;28
Diane
The storms on the other side were storms, but it was like almost a pathway that was given to him back to the city. And I was like, what? That's so cool. I was like, that was my specific prayer, right? She didn't know I had prayed that. He didn't know that I had. Right. And I'm not saying that I'm just like prophetic, you know, like, that's the power of prayer.

00;13;08;28 - 00;13;34;11
Diane
Yes, prayer is amazing like that. And God that God can use so many things and he uses us as that vehicle
Leigh Ann
and he's he's God, he's sovereign. He's he's the powerful one. Right. But look how them reaching out and asking for that connection, asking for prayer support that built your faith. It just built my faith with you sharing it.

00;13;34;18 - 00;14;09;14
Leigh Ann
Do you know what I mean? He just let him. Landing safely was the key piece of that. But how? There's a design. I don't understand it. I don't know why, but God has designed it so that our participation in this is a piece. It's a big piece of this. And so whether you're sharing with your friends or whether you're doing other things, you know, with it, so, one of the things that we've kind of quickly mentioned, but I wanted to circle back to, was how it builds our faith to go back for those bigger things.

00;14;09;17 - 00;14;27;17
Leigh Ann
So let's let's use an example of like asking for something that seems small and you're like, we'll be okay either way, God. But can you just the conversation with him is probably a bigger piece than even what you're asking for him to do. Right? And then there's like miracle level things where you're like, Only God is going to do this.

00;14;27;20 - 00;14;50;13
Leigh Ann
There's no human that can fix this. Who can make this happen? Just from a motherhood standpoint, when we were trying to have our first baby and had months and months of not having that happen, there was this really humbling moment for me where I was like, God has to do this. It's not going to happen from just me wanting it or me.

00;14;50;16 - 00;15;09;20
Leigh Ann
Yeah, figuring it out or something. It's like he has to breathe life. He has to be the one to say, this is happening now. So anyway, I just I think that there's such a piece of that, you know, in, in how it can build us up in that. So, you have some really good we have some good resources for y'all today.

00;15;09;20 - 00;15;31;21
Leigh Ann
We want to share. So I don't want us to forget that as we're cruising on. So. Yes, definitely.
Diane
well, one of the things we were going to talk about to you is about kind of the flip side of being, oh, true. True is our prayer warrior or worrying. I think sometimes I have to confess that I can go on that side of worry.

00;15;31;24 - 00;15;51;17
Diane
sometimes I feel that as my kids have gone older, and they're things that they're doing or, I mean, maybe more dangerous, like, when they first learned to drive and they go on the road by themselves traveling, they travel, they go off to college on their own. There are bigger things now that my heart just really does sometimes worry.

00;15;51;17 - 00;16;14;09
Diane
And I do think sometimes instead of being that prayers at first thing I go to, it's sometimes not. And I'm just sometimes I struggle with that. I just, you know, I just think that we all may do that. Yeah. Yeah. I have really good friends that sometimes bring me back around. They will, remind me of where I really need to focus my energy, you know, because fear is hard.

00;16;14;12 - 00;16;42;02
Diane
Yeah. They take you down that path. You don't want to go, right? And I think sometimes that that worry, you know, talk to the Bible. Do not be anxious for anything but by prayer and petition. get your request. That's right, that's right. Important. And so I, I really. Yes, yes. Especially when my kids are out and doing things just because it's, it's sometimes very challenging
Leigh Ann
It is and we've talked about this before.

00;16;42;04 - 00;17;08;29
Leigh Ann
When your kids are little, they're with you and you just have that. It's all thunder. Thunder, welcome to the summer storms. if maybe you can't hear the thunder, but we can, the when your kids are little in there with you all the time, I feel like I was I was actually pretty good. Like, I thought, oh, I'm praying over them when they're asleep or you're going in and checking on them or something, and you're with them all the time, and you're thinking about their future.

00;17;08;29 - 00;17;27;08
Leigh Ann
You're praying about what God's going to call them to be in life or their career or their school or whatever. But I was on a walk recently with a friend of mine whose her name is Caroline. Shout out to Caroline, where she has five kids and they're the youngest, is going to be a senior in high school. And so my youngest is gonna be a senior in high school.

00;17;27;10 - 00;17;47;14
Leigh Ann
And she talked about and she she credited someone else about this. But she said, when your kids are older, you talk to them less. And you talked to you talked. Let me get it. Let me get the quote straight. Sorry. When your kids are older, you talk less to them about Jesus and more to Jesus about them.

00;17;47;14 - 00;17;58;28
Diane
Well, I know you shared a story about being in the car. You know, sometimes you're like, you're late for something. I'm not saying that ever happens to me, but it happens to me a lot, especially if you're in our area, you know, traffic is just everywhere.

00;17;58;28 - 00;18;16;04
Diane
And so, you know, when you're just sometimes with the kids for a little, I'd be like, okay, we're just going to pray that God will get us to our destination safely and on time. Yes. Saved. Yes, yes. And you make it there. And then you can actually say, you know, we made it to say thank you. Yes, yes. And

00;18;16;04 - 00;18;23;09
Leigh Ann
And not taking things for granted, like simple things to to involve God in that conversation on those most basic things.

00;18;23;09 - 00;18;45;15
Leigh Ann
You know, the day praying before you eat, praying about a struggle, something that we don't always have the perfect answer to for our kids. Go with them to the Lord. Instead of saying, oh, let me give you my parental wisdom right now, let's say this is beyond what dad and I can even get answer for you. But let's take it to the Lord and he will give you the answer in the moment that you need it.

00;18;45;15 - 00;19;05;03
Diane
I just had an instance with one of my daughters that, you know, I said, you know what? Sometimes we want to try to figure it out. But you know who we need to let to we need God. Yeah, yeah. All we need to do right now is to pray. Yeah. And pray. Ask for that wisdom. Pray. Ask for that discernment and see what he's going to help us with.

00;19;05;04 - 00;19;17;29
Diane
Because if we are quiet or if we are still. Yeah, that's one of my other favorite verses is from Psalm 46:10 to be still and know that. Still you will give us those answers.

00;19;17;29 - 00;19;32;07
Diane
Yes. Wants to know and help us. Right. So it's, it's hard in, in the moment in the moment and especially, you know, the world is such a fast pace that sometimes it's hard to wait for that answer or wait for God to show up.

00;19;32;07 - 00;19;57;15
Diane
But he's always there, right? Right. A quote that I had looked up for this episode. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I wanted to share. That's good. Elizabeth Draper and, I want to say I just found this online, so I've got a scholar or anything. it says worry is a conversation you have with yourself about things you can't change. Prayer is a conversation you have with God about things he can change.

00;19;57;18 - 00;20;26;01
Diane
That's right. I just think that's powerful. So, guys. Yeah, yeah. If we can just focus on that sometimes to just realize mindset change. Yeah, yeah.
Leigh Ann
And we talked about this in terms of kind of a cool like turn of phrase of worry or warrior worrier or warrior. It's not easy to say back to back, but to anything. Any to be a warrior in anything requires training, right?

00;20;26;01 - 00;20;51;01
Leigh Ann
It's not something you're just going to have instantly and be great at. It's something that you develop. Yeah, it's that development of it. And whether that's something that you get out of a book, we're going to share some resources or something that is just practice and conversation and taking those little quick ones or something that's more detailed and like sharing your whole heart and pouring it all out for God.

00;20;51;04 - 00;21;09;27
Leigh Ann
recently I was talking to our daughter Charlotte, about she's doing, working at a camp and has ministry. And she said, you know, some of these burdens that people are asking me to pray for them are so heavy. And I saw this picture of, like, a boulder that's so heavy, like, you can hold it for a minute, but you really can't hold it for much longer than that.

00;21;10;03 - 00;21;31;06
Leigh Ann
And there's a lot of hard hurts and traumas and sadness in the world that we really are not intended to carry for more than a minute. Somebody can share it with you and hand it to you, but if you don't immediately give it to the Lord, if you don't immediately hand it to it exactly, you will get weak.

00;21;31;09 - 00;21;54;19
Leigh Ann
You will get, you know, just physical to be able to hold it. And so picture that boulder. And when somebody's telling you they're really hard thing or whether it's your own family struggling with something you are not intended to as a human to hold that it's something that you know about that you're dealing with, but you immediately just lay it at the feet of Jesus.

00;21;54;26 - 00;22;15;03
Leigh Ann
And so with all of the great scriptures on prayer, do a little study of prayer. Do like, say God. What part of this are you wanting to develop in me? Let me just grow as a prayer warrior. How can I train and get stronger in this? And it's not about saying things more eloquently. It's not about doing that.

00;22;15;03 - 00;22;42;19
Leigh Ann
It's honestly something that is just how quick are we to go to him rather than try to figure out ourselves.
Diane
And then we talked about how you were journal. So would you journal prayers as well? Oh, absolutely.
Leigh Ann
Absolutely. And I have entire journals that that's really all that they were because, and that's the other thing of going back and taking some time to go back ago, maybe six months before I do it and I go back, go, oh, this one was this was the answer.

00;22;42;19 - 00;23;00;12
Leigh Ann
This one was and I take it like a different highlighter and just go in and like mark the ones that, that God has seen through or just, you know, we've just had to lay it down and trust him. And, it's funny, when they don't go the way that we've specifically asked him, that's still okay. That's still a good prayer.

00;23;00;16 - 00;23;19;07
Diane
Because honestly, when you go back and you look at it and you see that time that has passed in the moment, you think, okay, this is what should happen. And sometimes you pray, maybe selfishly, that that's going to happen, but then God changes that path and you're like, actually that wass better. Yeah. Yes, yes. So much better. Answer the same thing.

00;23;19;10 - 00;23;42;13
Diane
Yes, that's really good.
Leigh Ann
And that's part of that release too, is is saying, I'm going to trust you with the bigger picture even though I'm struggling with this. So yeah.
Diane
Yeah. Well we wanted to share our resources, you had a couple of books.
Leigh Ann
Yes, I absolutely yes I do. So I think I read this in the first couple of years of marriage like this. And I've been around so powerful praying wife.

00;23;42;13 - 00;23;59;27
Leigh Ann
It's kind of, there's a little joke that husbands give this to their wives as a gift. Would you please pray for me? But power. Prayer, praying husband. Which, honestly, I got to confess, I. We were having our 30th wedding anniversary this summer. I shared that, but I've caught Dan reading this in his power of a Praying Husband one.

00;23;59;27 - 00;24;17;14
Leigh Ann
Pretty recently. He was dusting it off. He had it from years ago, but we both read it in early marriage. And there are some things in here because it's literally prayers like that you can go through, and she talks to you about it, and then she gives you a suggested prayer at the end. And it's like over 2 million copies sold.

00;24;17;14 - 00;24;47;10
Leigh Ann
It says on the cover, I mean, it's been around, but, but one of the great things about it is, there were things in here that I think if you had just told me you should do this for your husband, I was like, he's fine. He doesn't need that, you know? But having somebody approach it with, like, if you really, truly want to encourage your husband, you want to be there for him in these ways, maybe there's some things that you just haven't thought of, and some of them were just so basic and easy, but I think I would have been too proud to try them.

00;24;47;10 - 00;25;05;19
Leigh Ann
And so anyway, come in to anything like this with like, what are you teaching me? God? And like kind of laying that out and then you'll see that. So she has a whole theory. So powder praying wife happens to have power of a praying husband. Power praying woman. teen teens are they're great. They're all good. They're all good.

00;25;05;23 - 00;25;29;20
Leigh Ann
Anything that says praying God's word, praying scripture, those are really safe ones too. There's a lot of good series and we've shared about those before. Yeah.
Diane
So my reference books that I wanted to share, just a few off my bookshelf, the prayer table, that is a prayer that's incredibly powerful. And it's a little book that you can see it's super tiny, but it is super powerful.

00;25;29;22 - 00;25;52;07
Diane
And this, straight scripture scripture, the author is just a story of all the things that he, that he has done through spoken, said, and then Jody Bird, we've referenced her is one of our first episodes, and she has a whole series of books. This one I just brought up is called The Praying the Scriptures for, she has one for your children and for your young adults.

00;25;52;10 - 00;26;11;21
Diane
we just look at the read the cover of that because opening the door for God's provision in their life,
Leigh Ann
that's so good. That's literally what prayer is, right? Opening that door for God. Like, we want you involved. We want you to speak through us through this situation. We're not going to try to figure this out on our own.

00;26;11;21 - 00;26;33;17
Leigh Ann
So, so good, so good.
Diane
I did want to say a couple of verse. Yes. When I wrap. Yeah. You know, before you wrap things up, I wanted to share about first Thessalonians 5:16-18. So then rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances. And I love that verse because you kind of take it in three parts.

00;26;33;19 - 00;26;53;23
Diane
And so it talks about rejoicing. So rejoice in the good times and the not so good times, right? Pray continually. Right? So good times for certain things in all circumstances. Yup, good times and not right. And God's just going to honor you. Yeah, yeah. But that's the big verse that we used in our household.
Leigh Ann
Yeah. So good, so good.

00;26;53;23 - 00;27;16;22
Leigh Ann
And I have one as well Romans 826. In the same way the spirit helps us in our weakness. So that's what we're we started off this whole conversation with, if you don't feel confident as a prayer warrior, if you are tend to be a worrier, guess what? He doesn't even just say, you better get good at this and you better figure it out, he says, the Holy Spirit is going to help you in your weakness.

00;27;16;25 - 00;27;41;10
Leigh Ann
You do not know. It says, we do not know what we ought to pray for. Literally, we don't even know. I know, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans like the things we can't even verbalize. We can't even figure it out ourselves. He is interceding literally praying for us on our behalf. And that's just sitting before him that be still and know that I am God.

00;27;41;10 - 00;28;00;22
Leigh Ann
It's just sitting still and letting him do it. So, so good, so good.
Diane
I think it's time we have to wrap up.
Leigh Ann
So this we could do six episodes on prayer and you know, we will do another one at some point. So it goes fast. But I just wanted to skip this conversation started. Yeah.
Diane

00;28;20;00 - 00;28;28;25
Diane
And that is our verse for our podcast from Ephesians 317.
Leigh Ann
