Hey there! I am Shai Moore and I am the host of Walking in Exile. The last few years or so I've been spending a LOT of time in conversations with other Christian women and there is one thing that keeps coming up. 

They’ve been raised in church, they know the Christian language, they know all about morality, but they don’t actually KNOW what the Bible says… and when we go deeper, they don’t actually know HOW to open it up and read it for themselves. 

In this podcast you are going to learn HOW to read Scripture for yourself. It isn’t just for pastors or those who go to seminary. If you are a Christian, you need to be in the Word for yourself so you don’t have to rely on what other people tell you - you can find out for yourself. 

I spent years feeling embarrassed because I was well into adulthood and didn’t know how to read the Bible. I knew I needed to learn for myself, but I had no idea where to look or get started. 

If that’s you, welcome. We’ll discuss topics ranging from HOW to read our Bible, what to do when we read it, how to apply it and let it transform our lives. 

We’ll observe cultural traditions and teachings and put them next to Scripture to see them through a biblical lens. It’s time to make your faith your own.
