Episode 72 – The Death of Wisdom & The Rise Of Manipulation
What if the biggest problem facing our society isn't a lack of information...but a lack of wisdom?
We've never had more knowledge at our fingertips. Every answer seems to be just a click away. Yet somehow we're more divided, more anxious, and more confused about reality than ever before. How did that happen?
In this episode, I explore what I believe is one of the greatest cultural shifts of our time—the quiet replacement of wisdom with instant information. I trace our journey from an Age of Wisdom, to an Age of Information, and into what I believe has become an Age of Manipulation, where algorithms, media, and ideology increasingly shape not just what we know, but what we believe is real.
I'll connect the dots between this growing loss of wisdom and many of the problems we're witnessing today—from young people searching for meaning through chaos, to an education system that too often produces debt instead of direction, credentials instead of character, and activism without the wisdom needed to create lasting change.
We'll also talk about something I believe is desperately needed today: the ability to slow down, think critically, question our own assumptions, and rediscover the timeless value of mindfulness. Because real change doesn't begin by changing everyone else—it begins by mastering ourselves.
If you've ever wondered why common sense feels so uncommon, why so many people seem to be living in completely different realities, or why our culture feels like it's losing its footing, I think this conversation will challenge you in ways you may not expect.
Maybe the future isn't waiting for us to become smarter.
Maybe it's waiting for us to become wiser.
