Courage of Faith - A look into my Faith Journey

Faith has been an anchor in my journey—though, for much of my life, I didn’t even recognize it as such. Looking back, I see how often I was protected, guided, and given strength to face the unknown, even when I felt unprepared. From stepping into auditions as a shy kid to making life-altering decisions like moving out at 15 or choosing single motherhood, there was always something bigger than me propelling me forward. At the time, I didn’t have a word for it—just a knowing. But as I’ve grown in vulnerability, I’ve realized that faith isn’t about certainty or control. Faith is trusting in the unknown, letting go of perfectionism, and stepping into the arena even when we don’t have all the answers.
For much of my life, perfectionism was my safety net. It was my way of controlling the chaos around me and avoiding vulnerability. But faith doesn’t operate in control—it thrives in surrender. My journey to Montana was a turning point. It forced me to step into a space of complete uncertainty, driven only by the belief that it would work out. And it did—not because I had it all figured out, but because I trusted in something far greater than myself. Faith has taught me that we don’t need to know everything. We don’t need to control every outcome. We simply need the courage to take the next step and believe that what’s for us will come to us.
Today, I ask you: Are you living in scarcity, clinging to control, or limiting yourself with fear? Or are you stepping into the vulnerability of faith—embracing uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure? When we release shame, perfectionism, and the need for certainty, we open ourselves to joy, purpose, and abundance. Faith gives us the courage to move forward, not knowing exactly where the path leads, but trusting that it is leading us exactly where we’re meant to be.
