Aligning Meaning with Money with host Corree Roofener
Money isn’t just about numbers—it’s about alignment. It’s about how we use our financial resources to reflect what truly matters to us. That’s why I talk about spending in your values so often, because when we align our money with what we believe in, we create a life that feels right, abundant, and intentional. But let’s be real—money is also one of the biggest roadblocks that stops people in their tracks. It’s loaded with stories, fears, and deeply ingrained beliefs that can either propel us forward or keep us stuck.
For me, money has always made sense. It’s what I do, it’s how I serve, and yet, I’ve struggled with imposter syndrome when it comes to sharing this knowledge. Why? Because the world is full of people with big degrees and decades of experience. But here’s the truth—your strengths are meant to be shared, not silenced. And one of my strengths is helping people see money in a way that feels approachable, doable, and empowering. That’s why I want to break down what it really means to spend in your values.
At the core of it all are what I call the four freedoms—time, money, relationships, and purpose. If we take the time to reflect and journal on these, we start to see where our spending aligns—or doesn’t. Are you working endless hours to make more money, sacrificing your time freedom? Are you making decisions out of fear instead of intention? When Chad and I moved to Montana, it wasn’t about making more money—it was about earning it in a way that aligned with the life we truly wanted. Because financial freedom isn’t just about having unlimited money; it’s about the freedom to choose how you earn, spend, and live. So take the time to clarify what truly matters to you, because when your money aligns with your values, your life will too.
