Living Audaciously: Redefining Success on Your Own Terms

What does it mean to live an audacious life? For some, it’s bold and loud; for others, it’s slow and intentional. That’s what I love about this word—it’s personal. It’s about finding the courage to live as the fullest version of you. In my recent conversation with Erika, a powerhouse speaker, wellness entrepreneur, and civil engineer breaking barriers in a male-dominated field, we unpacked what it truly means to live beyond the white picket fence and into the life we were born for—not the one we were told to chase. She reminded me that audacity doesn’t have to be fire and fireworks. Sometimes, it’s the quiet whisper that says, “There’s more in me, and I’m willing to see what that is.”

We talked about resilience—not as hustle culture defines it, but as a knowing. Sometimes resilience is rising again, and sometimes it’s the sacred pause. It’s in the grace we give ourselves to rest, reassess, and realign. Erika’s story is a living example of what happens when you say yes to expansion, even when it looks nothing like the version of success the world handed you. From hard hats to high heels, she shows us we’re allowed to hold all of it—and that the best thing we can do for the next generation is to model what it looks like to live in full color, not just check the boxes.
