In this episode of Deep Dive Drive, recorded on my morning commute, I explore a question that many coaches might not realise they’re answering every single session:

Are you coaching the loud players… or are you coaching the quiet ones?

In most teams, there are players who naturally demand attention — the vocal ones, the confident ones, the players who are always involved in conversations and asking questions. But within the same group, there are also quieter players who observe, listen, and learn in different ways.

The challenge for coaches is making sure everyone is being developed, not just the ones who are easiest to hear.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • Why loud players often receive more coaching attention without us realising
  • The importance of recognising different personalities within a team
  • How quiet players often process information differently
  • Ways to intentionally engage players who don’t always speak up
  • Why inclusive coaching environments develop stronger teams

This episode is a reminder that great coaching isn’t just about managing the room — it’s about reaching every individual inside it.

Because sometimes the players saying the least are still learning the most.

See everyone. Develop everyone.

One drive at a time.
