Hi, Rachel. Hi, Kristen. What a day we've had so far. I know we've been together for hours, and we're just now starting to record. We've had an incredible meeting with our next guest. Yes, on the podcast. It's so exciting. Yes we are. Rachel has reached out a little. Okay. I just, I just, I not that I want to rage, but I want to put it out there for people that, you know, there's solid there's solidarity in inventing. Right. Like, sometimes I am super calm and collected about things, and I'm able to process in the moment, and I'm able to find empathy and I'm able to see that other side. And then there's other times where, my friends, today is another time that just does not happen. And I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna say what the name of the company is, but everybody who owns a company, I don't care what size it is. If you have shitty customer service, it will always be an issue with most of your customers. Always. So this particular company and it's, you know, one of these newer companies that only communicates via email, like there's no phone number, you can't actually meet with a real human, which I feel like, you know, at the end of the day, that's what we are. We're fucking human and we need to figure stuff out sometimes face to face. Do you want to know why they do that, Rachel? Because they don't want to be raged at. They don't want to be in contact with Rachel. Rachel, Rachel. I shall call her Rachel today. The other thing is, though, I'm not without reasoning behind my rage, right? I'm not Reiji. Like I'm not like violent, but I am. Well, that's. I'm angry. I'm like I did say in an email. What in the actual fuck happened? I walked in today and she was like, um, you're my partner and I need to tell you something that you might not be happy with. I know I instantly was like, I might need your forgiveness, but I was real mad. So moving on. We've been together for quite a many hours and fixing some things, working on some tech stuff. And now here we are. And we. Man. We've also had a lot of laughs this morning already. Yeah we have. I'm just going to put it out there too, that Kristen and I could be Jason and Travis Kelce playing NFL football and dating Taylor Swift. So no, she shows me her phone. And it's an article about how the Kelce brothers signed a $100 million podcast deal with Amazon. $100 million. And then she gives me the look like, why isn't this us? And I just I didn't even you didn't even have to say it. You just gave me the look and I went. Uh, Rachel, we're not football players. And one of us isn't diddling Taylor Swift, which I then promptly responded, we could be, which. Then we both burst into fits of giggles and laughter, because the day that I'm on an NFL football field getting hit is. I mean, you might as well just plan the funeral at that point. I think the reminder for me, though, like if we're going to stay in the vein of what this episode is about and that is divine downloads and receiving messages, um, then for me, I received the message that, listen, our time will come and the right opportunity will come for us. Because guess what? An opportunity that is right for two NFL players is not right for us. Truer words have never been spoken. And as much as I want to like, you know, get to know Taylor Swift and be her friend, I. You know, you don't want a Hitler. No. Like not. No. Uh, I mean, if spiritual messages today, guys pump fist pump. You know, we're, you know, like a good hug. We totally. This totally went sideways and weird. Anyways. Nobody's surprised. No, no we're not. So yeah, we've had lots of just giggles and in all kinds of discussions this morning and also on the meeting, on our meeting, it was virtual, right? Because our next guest it lives in resides in another state. There was a fucking spirit and there was an orb, right? We both caught it at the same time, right at the I was like, what? Oh, hello. And she was like, really? And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right over her shoulder. Yeah. Yeah. Her, she was sitting in that same spot. So I've met with her many times before on other things. And this is not the first time that I've had a meeting with her in that space, but she's not always at the same angle. Right? She has this amazing large bookcase that is. You would love it if you saw the rainbow. The whole thing is rainbow. I know I saw I saw part of her or go to see. The whole thing is incredible. Yeah, but I also received a message for her over her shoulder in the exact same spot that she was in today. So anyway, welcome you guys. Yes, welcome. Welcome to two mystic Mamas. Where we talk about all things and we don't know where the universe is going to take us. We really don't. Today we're going to talk about receiving messages. For me, it's going to be receiving messages via movies cinema. It happens all the time. Also, I will include television shows. It happens all the time, like it's bananas. How many times I receive messages while watching a movie. So I just want to say, I think that a lot of us are receiving messages and we have no idea where we're receiving messages. So the first part of this is really just being open to it. Yep. And you can speak that into existence and say, I am open to receiving messages today during this meditative hour in my dreams tonight, whatever that timeline looks like for you. Yeah, I usually, um, when I do my intention setting and my gratitude and just kind of grounding morning exercise, I always put out there that I am open to receiving messages from my greatest and highest good, um, in various ways, whether it's an event that takes place or it's through a song that I listen to, or it's through a conversation, or I meet somebody or a situation arises. Whatever the case may be, I do put that out there. And we also do that in the evening when I bless the children and we say our goodnight prayers, we always include to give opportunity to present itself the following day that showcases how we can be compassionate, loving, kind people. Which in the same breath I need to show towards that company that I'm raging about. Because to Kirsten's point, I need to not hold on to that. I need to let it go. Um, which is a lesson in. Just processing why we get so fired up about stuff, when really we can only control what we can control? Yeah. I mean, the sidebar that not that it's really what we're talking about today. But even I had a conversation this morning and this is kind of a continuation of a conversation we had a couple of weeks ago. You know, she had come to me about talking about basically when she is upset with herself over something, she then reaches out. Right. And so this can happen in all areas of our life. Usually if we're like raging about something or getting upset or whatever, like there is something underlying that like, yes, somebody may be in the wrong right, but usually there's something that is fueling that that's internal for sure. Know there for sure is. And I think for me it's, it's having that transparency or lack thereof of, of what's going and, and not having control. And I love that we can talk about it honestly. Yeah. For sure. Like I feel a very disconnect from having control over why it happened, how it happened and what they're going to do to fix it. Right. And it is a control thing because like, again, I can't talk to them. They won't meet virtually. It's everything's done through email. And I'm like la la la la la la la la la la la la la. You know. All right. But there's messages in all of this for us. Talk to me about messages that you have received, downloads that you have received. I actually want to start by talking about, um. Music. And most recently, um, we had had a conversation where Rachel had asked to receive a message from her spirit guides angels. And now this was like in passing. This wasn't like a, uh, we didn't go into detail. I don't know what she asked for. I don't know what the message was. I just know that she had asked for, um, to see a white dove. Um, then maybe two weeks later, Evie and I were driving and we saw a dove. And it made me think of it that you had asked that. But it wasn't a white dove. It was like a gray mourning dove that we saw in our yard. And then the next week, continually, this song kept popping up in my sphere, and it was The Edge of 17 by, uh, Fleetwood Mac. It's such a good song, and the main lyric is white winged dove. Yes, and I didn't think about it until much later. And then all of it came and I was like, oh, I think I need to tell Rachel about this. Yeah, there's a really good book called Signs by Laura Lynn Jackson, who is also an incredible, gifted individual. She is a very well known medium. She has other metaphysical gifts that she's very talented with. And she talks about that. I mean, the name of her books is is signs. I think sometimes too, with signs we move so quickly in life that we're given signs and we just we just breeze right past them. Well, I mean, we're conduits for messages in so many ways. And when we are stuck in our heads or in ego or in fear or in overwhelm or any of these lower frequencies iterations of this, yeah, it's so easy to miss the signs because we're so hyper focused on our pain totally, or getting through our pain, or the destination or the goal. And so we're missing the journey and all the messages that are happening right here and right now in real time for us. Kristen and Charlie came down a couple of weeks ago. Um, it was kind of like the last hurrah before we went back to school, and Evie was with them. So the girls got to have a sleepover, and we shuffled all the kids to bed, and we put on the latest Bad Boys movie. You know, I talked to my mom. She's like, I didn't really like it, you know? Was this, you know, choice language. And it was very violent. And I was like, yeah, but the first Bad Boys came out when we were in high school. So it's a generational thing, you know, where you love it because it's Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, and they're like that dynamic duo where, you know, they are able to riffed off each other, and it's just pure pants. Funny. No spoiler alerts, but in this latest, I guess it's the do we figure out if it's a third? I guess we missed that. There was a third movie and this is the fourth. Okay, so this is the fourth Martin Lawrence character, Marcus. He has a medical emergency at one point in the movie, and his spirit leaves his body for a hot minute, but it wasn't his time to go. So then he comes back. You guys, he's got all the spiritual wisdom for everybody now. I mean, from there on out, I felt like this movie was just talking to us and Jeff and Charlie to woo woo. Yeah, Jeff and Charlie are like, what is happening? And I was like, this is so great because it is kind of like, if you're talking about the Bad Boys franchise, it does not hit or jive in any way. No. With the other side. No, no, not at all. But it was hysterical to us that this was happening because, you know, I was I mean, it was just I want to know who that fucking writer was. I kept getting when you receive messages from the other side, from your team of light, it will. It will make you feel a certain way. Either your body tingles or it brings forth feelings in emotions of love and comfort. Sometimes it can freak you out, you know? No doubt. Like you get tingles all over your bodies or you get the shivers. You know where you're like, ah, you know, and your whole body like kind of does like a little shake, shake. But it was so great. And to experience it with Kristen was also so great, because sometimes I will be watching something and naturally I'm the only one watching it. And so I'm like, oh, you know, I got that message. But it was nice to experience it with somebody else because you can have that like, oh my God, did you just see that? Yeah, you can have an interaction. Yeah. Like, oh my God. Did you just feel that? Whoa whoa whoa. I feel like I received messages all the time. And it can be through like songs like we were talking about or a lot of times for me, it'll be random topics that come up. Yes. And a lot of times they will coincide with messages. I'm receiving in my daily tarot reading. Yeah, so much made a choice within my own personal and professional life that I had been receiving this download for quite some time. Um, and all of my readings were pointing towards it and boom, there there it happens. Um, and most recently, with my health. Do we want to talk about what happened this weekend. I mean, we kind of touched on it when we recorded the other day. That's right. We did, because we just recorded two days ago. Yes. But we didn't actually give the listeners the true story. We just left it up for their interpretation of, I guess we can tell them the story now. So Saturday night we got home really late. And, you know, we've been going through a lot of stressful situations and we're really moving through them together as a couple and as a family. And I'm really proud of the work that we're doing to move through them. And if you know Charlie and I or Eve and Charlie and I like we are silly. We're silly folk. They're like the Three Stooges. Sometimes you just look at them and you're like that. You ever, like on Inside Out and you're like, you're a look at someone and wonder what's going, going on inside their head. Do you really look at me and think that sometimes you and you and Charles. Sometimes because it's so funny, because you guys are very different than Jeff and I when it comes to, like, the silly side of things. You don't see that often in a lot of couples. I mean, it's super cute to watch, but I'm always like, what? We had had some some stress we were moving through and we were being silly and Charlie was going to rough house, we'll say. And he we were laying in bed. And he attempted to like he put his body weight into the bed like on his one knee. Yeah. And then like, hover over me to like, tickle me. He's like, I really was just going to smother you with kisses. But he mistakenly put all of his body weight into my liver, pancreas, spleen. Yeah. And Charles is not. He's not a little guy. No, he's a Sasquatch. Um, so he he injured Kristen. So cu injured her bars, kidneys, pain, all of the things, like, because I think. And that's such a shitty feeling when you injure your your partner by by clearly by accident. It's super shitty if you do it on purpose. But like I that that just because you do want to laugh, but then you're like, oh my God, right? So fast forward and Kristen's been healing from a little internal bleeding this week, so it's all good. He feels terrible. It's okay. I'm gonna be fine. But. And I talked to you guys about this on Monday when I showed up, and in Charlie. I always want to say Charles or Charlie, and then I just get into this Charlie weird slow motion voice. Um, he said to me, Did Kristen tell you what what what I did to her? What happened this weekend? And I was like, no. And I and then they proceeded to tell me and I was like, oh, well, you know, that's really unfortunate. And then today, when we were having our meeting, Kristen was also starting to tell me about some what did you were we were over by the fridge and I was like, you were saying how? I was like, how are you feeling? And you're saying, oh, I'm getting better. Like, I feel better, but like, I still am dealing with the fact that, like, I can't get as much stuff done, I can't move. And I was like, you need to just fucking rest. Like you need to stop. You need to. And it was so interesting because and she, you know, she was like, I know, but I have a hard time doing that. That's not how like I'm wired. That's not that's not how. Like I don't feel as productive if I do that. I am a high functioning, productive monster. Then we got on the meeting. With. I'm just going to use her name Vanessa, because. Yeah, she's she's not a secret guest. Yeah. This is not the mask singer. Yeah. And, um, she was like Kristen. Kind of like she, you know, because you have, like, your professional hat and then you have, like, your personal hat and then you have, you know, like sometimes those blend in between each other. And she basically was like, what are you doing? Like you, you need to heed these signs. These are signs. And and then it I got a download too, like, oh my God, they are signs. And sometimes when we don't heed the signs from the universe, when we don't heed the signs from our team of light, they just keep getting louder and stronger to the point where we have no choice. And this right, anybody listening can relate to this in some way, shape or form were either you didn't heed the signs or someone you love did not heed the signs, and then they have like an epic crazy injury or something happens that like physically takes them out and then they have no option but to not. I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me because I continually like build up to this point, and I don't listen to the fucking signs. I get all of the signs and then the universe is like, hold my beer thing that you need to. I'm going to just project. But I'm saying this from a place of love. When you heed the signs and you allow that rest to happen, the opportunities that you don't think that will happen because you're resting will actually still happen and happen probably better, quicker and more directly. Right. I'm really working hard to trust that though. Well, my personal, you know, some of my personal goals that I'm working on have to do with being in my flow and in my feminine more than I'm in my masculine to do. List your things off. Sorry. Your microphone. What is happening right now? I don't know, your microphone is like moving by itself. You guys, there's some weird shit afoot. Hold on. Treachery is afoot. Yeah it is. It is not a hand. Just some Christians. Are the act of. Let me just push this back over my microphone. It's like you were just putting the, like, pushing the condom down to the base of the cock. Oh, man. And let's just get. Make sure that's in the right position. Good buddy. It's your microphone, a dude. We should have names for our microphones. Oh my God. Oh, this is fucking bullshit. I can't believe us. Let's go. Okay, you guys, we should name them. Think about Travis and Jason. Are. Oh, I just hit myself in the stomach. And so it is. God damn it. Are these are the Kelsey brothers. I mean, I'm just. Just. Sorry, Travis. I just had to adjust your your windscreen. Oh, so you have Travis. I don't know, you pointed at mine and said, Travis, you're definitely diddling, then. Got a whole little trouble happening. God damn it. So got out of that one. Yeah. Anyway, um, you know, we received signs about our health. Actually, I want to share something super interesting, so I. I don't know if anybody is into healing frequencies since this injury is happened. I have I mean, and I've done this previously and I did it with a Reiki master where I was using healing frequencies and envisioning golden threads when I jacked up my ankle, and all the ways to help heal and aid in the the healing process. And I have a friend who is like, just got certified in like, sound healing and like it's a whole world. It's super cool too, if you get into it. Yeah, there's so many great modalities out there. Yeah. And there are a lot of healing, deep healing, regenerative playlists on Spotify. Um, for an array of purposes. I mean, anything you can think of if you put in Hertz for financial abundance, Hertz for healing properties, like any of those, because it's the it's the hertz that is the key, the 888, the 432, the 584. I mean, there's so many out there. To take that a step further. As a music teacher, there's a lot in terms of chord progressions that can actually elicit a bodily response. And so Disney has been one that has been kind of had the finger pointed at it for a long time, that they use a very specific song form and very specific chord progressions in order to basically master the psychology of music and sound good on them. Right, in order to, you know, have top Disney hits, right? And, and create emotional moments and elicit response from people when they're listening to their songs. I think that just gives songs and music beauty and puts intention behind it. I mean, I'm all about like just creating two, but I feel like the most successful. I mean, in Disney, you you can't wave a stick at them like everything they fucking put out is, is gold. But it's because they have a team of people that do the science behind it. Right. And so there was actually speaking of the science. There was a study that was done. Now, I don't know when the study happened. I know that the report came out in like April of this year. And if if anybody's interested in this, we will link it in our socials. It was studying how certain chord progressions were eliciting cardiac and abdominal sensations. Oh wow. And they were using body mapping in order to, um, to record and, you know, show, you know, how it was like these sounds were playing a crucial part in what was happening in people's bodies. That's so freaking cool, right? I mean, just sound embodiment in general. Yeah, because isn't jazz. Jazz is associated with creativity. Mhm. And just now I associate jazz with a romantic steak dinner and a fire. Well boom boom boom boom boom. People are studying it. But really it's like an unexplored area. But then people wonder why music has such an impact on mood. It again it's it's an emotional experience. Yeah. Yeah. And we make decisions based on emotional responses. Everything we make a decision on has an emotional response. Before you make that decision. Really. They were looking at this study through the lens of like predictive processing, which was so cool to me. How can you use this? Right. If you're thinking about like visceral and emotional reactions to stimulus, you know, you can use that in so many healing ways. Yes. She just rusted. Arrested her lips, nose right on. Jason. Kelsey. Guys, she just gave him a little kiss. Mhm. Don't come for me. Okay I didn't. In real life just my microphone. This is Jason Kelsey. The microphone I mean we name everything in our house. Well I wonder if because we have the Kelsey brothers on our podcast, if you know we are entitled to some royalty. What are just kidding. Just kidding. She's lost her goddamn mind today, you guys. I mean, what what are some messages that you have received through movies? Because I know that's like where you feel super strong. I tend to because I have three children. I watch a lot of Disney. And I think to your point, talking about the music, they also do such a good job of putting out movies that have really brilliant messages in them. And they're not always of the ego. They're like imagination and tapping into being a young child, but they're written very well that, like adults, can totally absorb them too. So the first three that come to mind that are some of my most favorite Encanto, Moana and Coco. All of them have incredible music, but the messaging behind them too, is of something that is bigger than us, right? Like Moana, right? You know, she's able to absorb her gifts of talking with the ocean, and I forget the term that she is, but. Right. Mulan is based on a cult. She's a voyager. Yeah, but she also has mystical. She can control the ocean. The ocean, like, gifts her, right? Like the ocean, like, plays with her and touches her. And, you know, she moves like anyone who gets in the fucking ocean. I know where you're going with that. Like Rachel. Come on. Coco gives a real sense and a beauty behind the history of, again, spirits not that far away, and that there is a place where all of us go after we leave this earthly being. I love that movie are taking the altar and making the dishes, the food, keeping their memories alive, which in turn keeps them alive on the other side. That is sidebar a very huge part of a lot of the Sabbaths and celebrations in the Wiccan religion and pagan religions is actually having food offerings and photos of loved ones. Yeah, and I love that because that's how they live on. Right? And I think Coco helps to bring death in a way that is beautiful, relatable, and not so scary. So I love that. And then Encanto is again leaning into our magical gifts. We all are capable. We are all born with amazing talents. It's just your job to show the fuck up for yourself and figure out what that is and what that looks like for you. And Encanto does such a good job of highlighting that and just showcasing that we're all magical, and any place that you want to create your home is a magical place, and you can fix that energy. You can clear that energy, you can raise that energy, you can invite energy in that is joyous and love and all of the things. And so I love that movie for that reason. And then once I was on my spiritual journey, I started receiving different messages about me being on the spiritual journey. Um, and three of them are ones a show that it was the final season of it, Sex Education. It was a British based show, the third and final season. It has a couple of the characters also have spiritual awakenings. It was just beautiful and I'm not going to ruin any of these. So you guys can go and watch them and experience them and see if they're relatable to you. The other one was Love at First sight. The last one was another kid movie called Orion and the dark, because kids have irrational fears, right? And I feel like. As a parent, I am constantly being met with inner child things that I situations that I probably also didn't process or deal with. That's basically what happens. Like Orion is terrified of the dark. It's like his number one fear, which again. Fear is an acronym that stands for false Evidence Appearing Real. It feels very scary. It feels like it is very real. But fear is a lower frequency energy, and you can just squash it by picking it apart. And so dark comes into Orion. He he meets him, and then Orion starts to trust the dark, because the dark is a real person in his in this movie, and he sees the benefits and wonders of the dark, which for me has always been a really scary thing, always associated the dark with evil. And through my spiritual journey and this podcast and my friendship with Kristen, and especially you can't have light without the dark. And if you think about a yin yang, you can't have light without the dark. There's so many metaphysical, metaphorical things that associate back to. You can't have light without the dark. And leaning into that and getting comfortable with the dark and seeing the magic that happens at night, and seeing certain animals that thrive at night and sleep during the day. And just how like it's all about perspective and getting comfortable with different activities that allow me to step out of my comfort zone. Because naturally I do a lot of energy protecting and so I am never alone. My team of light is always there protecting me. So I love to run in the dark, even though again, it's a child's movie that's made for the inner child and all of us adults are there experiencing it. So I won't go into the there's other things that happen in this movie that are super cute and. Yeah, well, and that's like a good reminder that there's a lot of amazing things in shadow that have not presented themselves yet, and that can be in the form of opportunity or messages like, it feels like we're always striving. And that's fine. And that's that's a great. And as long as we're always striving like in purpose, I think it's wonderful. But I also think that there's an opportunity for us to just get still and, and listen to what's around us and listen to what's inside of us. Because really, the messages that we're receiving are just there to remind us to tap into what we already know, because the knowledge that you need is already inside you. And the the signs that you receive from the universe, or from spirit guides or from angels or from whatever you believe in, are just reminders that you already have the fucking answer. It's inside you. You are the answer. And there will inevitably be people that come into your your circle that can help you continue to realize that about yourself and bring that out for you. I encourage you to surround yourself with people that help you to do that, that help you to step out of your comfort zone in a really beautiful way, and that also highlight the incredible gifts that you have to offer to yourself and to others. It isn't a task that you need to do alone, but at the same time, it is a task that you have to do for yourself. And so that sounds like counterintuitive, but like, you know, surround yourself with a community of people that. Bring the best out of you. And in that same breath. Distance yourself from people that don't do that. And make sure you know you. Listen to the podcast episode that we just released about boundaries, because, you know, making those changes will have a ripple effect on on your life. Love at First Sight is touching on that. It's a movie of happenstance where, you know, two people meet and all of these things happen. And it's a romantic comedy, which I'm a sucker for. So I'll give in to that cliche. But I've had instances, too, where I have met individuals where unexplainable things would happen, and you can't, you know, you can't put a finger on it just has that Zazu and you're like, oh my gosh. And and not just like romantically. I mean, I've had that happen platonically. I would I would dare to say that that's how Kristen and I became friends and then continued down this journey of creating this incredible magic that we put out every week for you guys. Yep. This is another opportunity for you to to lean into the grounding exercises, the visualizations, the meditations. Anything that is like a spiritual practice or enhancing your environment or making, you know, healthy lifestyle choices, mind body practices, any of that is really going to just help open you up to receiving and acknowledging that you're receiving messages. And I know we've talked a lot about the positivity of the messages, and your messages will always be for your greatest and highest good, but sometimes you will receive messages that require you to do some work that takes you out of a place of comfortability. Discomfort is not a threat. I did a workshop a couple of years ago and it was called perfect. It was actually a really lovely group of women that came to this, and it was all about how the idea of perfection fucks us totally. A lot of that is in productivity. Yeah. So for me, it feels like every 4 to 5 years I receive these messages that I need to pay more attention to what I truly need to be feeling good in my body, and not so much what I'm putting out. As someone who's a business owner and an entrepreneur and a creative, I am constantly working in some capacity because I have. Let's see. 3354 notes on my phone. That will tell you how much I am constantly creating in my brain, and then trying to create a plan around the creating and then producing the creating. Um, so maybe you need to lay down, take a week and go through those over 3000 nodes and organize that shit. Yeah, I, I have I'm not shitting on you. No, I know you're not, but I have blocks of time that I set aside each week that I go and I filter through stuff like this. Yeah. Just to start to. Yeah. Because it's too overwhelming to like, well, totally to do all at once. But if you're feeling any of those, if any of this, maybe this is a message for you, maybe me talking about my situation and how I am constantly pushing myself is a message for you and that you need to receive. I feel like there's probably a lot of messages in our podcast today that are meant for you. She's now just resting her face on Jason Kelsey. You guys, whom I love, that we name these. I know. So take what you want and what you need from this podcast episode and leave the rest in addition. Share it with other people in your circle. Promote us. Love on us. It's super free and super gifting and it's super organic. And we appreciate what you guys are doing in this world, for yourself and for others, and just continue to make that a part of your daily habit. Be kind to yourself first and foremost, and be kind to others. I love you guys. Thank you for being here.
