The Non Profit Podcast Network
The Non Profit Podcast network is a compilation of not for profit businesses, organizations and community entities that are invited to be interviewed on the podcast pro-bono, use the network to find like organizations doing great work in their communities and source a one-stop listening shop of exclusively non profit organizations. This outlet is meant to give each featured non profit an opportunity to tell their story in their words, giving listeners a better and more complete understanding of the mission, vision and values as well as clearly delineating who they serve and how they're funded. Our intent is for this network to become a useful tool in helping any non profit organization begin the journey to successfully telling their story though podcasting then using that podcast as a marketing tool to reinforce their current supporters, reach new potential donors and volunteers through an easily deployed podcast. Growing reach for awareness with the speed of digital, this is just one more opportunity to get their story told to more people faster. By doing so, we expect this process to further embed the organizations in their communities of service as a result of the simplicity of distribution, the nature of the content and the ease of access to learn more about them.

Advocacy in Action: CASA's Relevance & Necessity in the Foster Care System.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode. Please send me a text...
Have you ever pondered the inner workings of the foster care system and the unsung heroes guiding children through it? Carol Noreen, Executive Director of CASA Sacramento, joins me today to shine a spotlight on the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, revealing the intricate juggling of compassion and legal advocacy that shapes the destinies of foster children. This heartfelt conversation unfolds the layers of CASA's influence as we traverse the tale of siblings whose lives were transformed through the perseverance of a CASA volunteer, demonstrating the profound connections that can alter the course of a child's future.Navigating the complexities of foster care in Sacramento County, we uncover the sobering reality faced by over a thousand children dependent on a system stretched thin. Carol eloquently illustrates the disparity between the needs of these young individuals and the available resources, particularly for those teetering on the edge of adulthood. Together, we dissect how CASA volunteers bridge this gap, providing indispensable support for older youth in the extended foster care system, and the pivotal role they play in equipping these emerging adults for a life beyond the system's protective embrace. Finally, our content paints an inspiring picture of the CASA volunteer journey – a commitment that melds personal enrichment with civic duty. Take an inside look at the rigorous but rewarding path to becoming an advocate: from the meticulous application process to the extensive training, and the deep, often life-changing relationships formed with foster children. Through stories like Vincent's, guided by his CASA volunteer Mike, we call upon potential volunteers, especially men, to heed this call to mentorship – a single act that could leave an indelible mark on a young life. For more information about CASA Sacramento:Website: www.casassacramento.orgInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/casasacramento/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SacramentoCASALinkedIN: https://www.linkedin.com/company/casa-sacramento/Special thanks to our three “Founding” sponsors for helping to support a weekly cadence of the program.
