This week in GREY, Pastor Michael tackles one of the more difficult and misunderstood questions followers of Jesus wrestle with today:

Should Christians be political?
And is civil disobedience ever justified?

From Romans 13 to Acts 4, this message explores the tension between honoring governing authorities and standing against political injustice when human systems violate God’s heart for people. Along the way, we examine the examples of Peter and John, Rosa Parks, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, William Wilberforce, and others who helped shape history through faithful action.

This is not a sermon about partisan politics. It’s about how followers of Jesus engage power, justice, protest, and public life without losing sight of the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Michael also addresses the growing political division in our culture and asks a deeper question:
 What actually creates lasting change?

If you’ve ever wondered:

  • Is it OK for Christians to protest?
  • What does the Bible say about civil disobedience?
  • How should followers of Jesus respond to injustice?
  • Can political engagement become unhealthy?
  • What does faithful public witness look like?

…this conversation is for you.

When followers of Jesus move together, generations are changed forever.
