Main Points:

1. Jesus Satisfies Our Deepest Hunger

  • Scripture: John 6:26-27 – Jesus calls out those seeking Him for physical bread rather than eternal life.
  • Key Insight: The world offers temporary satisfaction—money, fame, relationships—but none can fill the void in our souls.
  • Illustration: Imagine trying to quench thirst with saltwater. Earthly things may seem to satisfy but leave us longing for more.
  • Application: Come to Jesus daily for the spiritual nourishment only He can provide through His Word and prayer.

2. Jesus is the Bread that Came Down from Heaven

  • Scripture: John 6:32-33 – Jesus contrasts Himself with manna, the bread God gave the Israelites in the wilderness.
  • Key Insight: Manna was a temporary provision, but Jesus is eternal. He doesn’t just give life—He is life.
  • Illustration: Share the story of the Israelites relying on manna each day and relate it to the need for daily dependence on Jesus.
  • Application: Stop relying on yesterday’s faith. Seek a fresh encounter with Jesus every day.
  •

3. Jesus Invites Us to Partake of Him

  • Scripture: John 6:51 – “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
  • Key Insight: To partake of Jesus means to believe in Him, trust Him, and let His Spirit fill every aspect of our lives.
  • Illustration: Use the Lord’s Supper as an example of remembering and receiving Jesus into our lives.
  • Application: Accept Jesus’ invitation to partake fully in Him by committing your life to Him. This means surrendering all and trusting Him completely.
