This is why your prayers lack power. I was recently listening to a great pastor, that I absolutely love, Greg Laurie. And he was saying there is power in our prayer. It's one of the Christian's lives. Most powerful. Okay. Let me restart this. Okay. Okay, here we go. This is why your prayers lack power.

00:00:24:00 - 00:00:46:13
Unknown
I grew up in a Christian household, regularly reading the Bible and praying, and recently I heard a pastor talk about that. A Christian's prayer life is the most potent and powerful part of his life. And so when I looked at my prayer life, I realized I was praying less than five minutes a day. Sometimes three minutes, sometimes a couple minutes.

00:00:46:15 - 00:01:13:00
Unknown
Yet this pastor and I know biblically that prayer is powerful. So the question that came to my mind is, do I really believe in the power of prayer? Well, not based on results, not based on results. If I'm praying less than five minutes a day, then maybe. I don't believe that prayer has the ability to transform the world, the people, the circumstances around me.

00:01:13:02 - 00:01:32:11
Unknown
And so I went on a journey of exploration and checking in. What do I really believe and what actually happens when it comes to prayer? What does prayer doing? And so I'm going to share with you my takeaways and some of the things that I learned through this process. And I'd like you to be open. And this is really an opportunity to explore what you believe about prayer.

00:01:32:18 - 00:01:40:20
Unknown
And if your prayer life is weak, it may be directly tied to what you believe about prayer.

00:01:40:20 - 00:01:51:09
Unknown
I have four parts to this video. Number one is what types of prayer are there. What does the Bible say about prayer. What could prayer actually be doing.

00:01:51:09 - 00:02:09:08
Unknown
Like what's happening when we pray? And my conclusion, the full conclusion that I came up with, that could get you to question and maybe even step into a new level of power inside of your prayer life. So what types of prayer there as I'm journaling through this whole thing? I have four types that I wrote down.

00:02:09:09 - 00:02:28:19
Unknown
Number one is it's an opportunity to connect with God. Prayer can be an opportunity to connect with God, to be intimate with him. So I do this praying in silence. Many times I'm connecting. I'm being present with him. I'm listening to what he has to say. And so, yes, I believe in that type of prayer. And I wrote down, do I believe in this type of prayer?

00:02:28:21 - 00:02:51:27
Unknown
Number two is prayer to hear from God or to look for direction. So I'm praying to listen and get direction and clarity from God. And yes, I believe in that type of prayer. Number three is prayer for the purpose of aligning my heart with God's heart or his will, my will with his will. So what I'm praying is shifting who I am as a human being.

00:02:52:00 - 00:03:19:01
Unknown
And yes, I absolutely believe that prayer does that. And the fourth type of prayer is prayer to change the people, the things and the circumstances around you. So utilizing words to influence the world around you, asking God for things that you want to happen could be the increased business size, the right employee, healing within your family, healing within other people.

00:03:19:06 - 00:03:48:11
Unknown
It could be to change a shift in government, like praying to change the things around you. And so as I sat there, I thought about, do I 100% believe in the power of this, that when I pray it changes things? And when I looked at my prayer life of less than five minutes a day, I really thought, I believe this, but maybe I really didn't believe that my prayer had the power to shift the world around me.

00:03:48:13 - 00:04:13:09
Unknown
So number two, what is what does the Bible actually say about prayer? Here's a couple verses. There's so many verses, but here's a couple. Matthew seven seven ask and it will be given unto you. Ask and it will be given unto you. So if you ask, it will be given. John 1413 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the father will be glorified.

00:04:13:09 - 00:04:41:10
Unknown
I'll do whatever you ask in my name, so that brings glory to the father. James four two you do not have because you do not ask. It's a great verse you do not have because you do not ask. And then Matthew 2122, if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer, if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

00:04:41:12 - 00:05:03:28
Unknown
And then we all know this verse Matthew 1720 because of the littleness of your faith. For truly I say to you, if you have the faith of the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. Powerful verses talks about the impact.

00:05:03:29 - 00:05:29:03
Unknown
The power of prayer. Yet how many Christians live have an impotent prayer life where they're not truly shifting and transforming the world, where they're not living in the realm of impossible? So does it work? My question to myself is does it actually work? Does asking for what I want work? Does asking for good health, healing better finances more impact a better world?

00:05:29:06 - 00:05:56:08
Unknown
Does it cause God to intervene? Does my prayer cause God to intervene? When I ask, is it causal? When I'm asking something, my creating am I? Am I starting this shift? This this am I, am I creating? And shifting the world around me by starting that prayer? And does God himself intervene? So if I pray, does God himself intervene or do the angels intervene?

00:05:56:10 - 00:06:20:26
Unknown
Do the angels have the ability to intervene on their own? Has God set them up in a way where prayers can trigger angels to come and intervene? Is he the one guiding them or they can they intervene on their own? Or. This is interesting. Does God does asking for what I want? Tap into the laws that God has built into this world, which increases the chances of it happening.

00:06:20:28 - 00:06:45:20
Unknown
So it's a great thing to check in with. And some curiosity right on my car. Interesting. I wonder because think about it, there's hundreds of millions of prayers that happen every single day. Is God individually answering every single one of these prayers? Yes. No. Maybe. Or and or and or has God maybe designed the world in a way that responds to him?

00:06:45:22 - 00:07:11:14
Unknown
So this is number three. What could prayer actually be doing? So when I pray, what could it actually be doing? There's a verse, Romans 811. And if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living within you. He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you.

00:07:11:16 - 00:07:36:14
Unknown
So the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, is spirit lives inside of us. So we have the power of God inside of us. We are not God. We have the power of God inside of us. And so has God given Christians the power to change the world around them. And I would say yes. And so back to my question.

00:07:36:14 - 00:08:02:23
Unknown
Does God manually answer the hundreds of millions of prayers per day? Or has he built a system? Has he built this world in a way that responds to the power of him? Has he built this world at a cellular level, so that when we pray in the spirit and with power and with faith and with belief, when we pray, it actually shifts the world at a cellular level.

00:08:02:24 - 00:08:28:08
Unknown
It changes things. It can move an entire mountain. So the question then becomes right and I'm exploring this can so did so it says it says faith can move a mountain. Right. So is God the one moving the mountain or did God create the mountain to be movable? That they create this world to be movable with his power?

00:08:28:09 - 00:08:47:03
Unknown
So with my prayer, do I actually have the ability to shift in a move a mountain? Biblically, yes. So I have the ability to shift people's shift circumstances, shift our physical reality with our prayer, with my prayer through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one doing the work. But it's. And so what's interesting is, is God.

00:08:47:03 - 00:09:07:16
Unknown
When I, when I pray in the spirit, when I pray is that's an activated prayer. So I'm, it's I'm activating I'm activating the spirit inside of me, which then may activate the world around us. So maybe my prayer has so much more power than I had ever realized. Maybe it's not just a prayer to God, Lord, will you do this for me?

00:09:07:22 - 00:09:30:08
Unknown
But maybe I can pray in power in the name of Jesus, the spirit of fear be gone. In the name of Jesus, the spirit of lust and perversion be gone. Right? Do I have the ability to pray and power? And through my prayer, through the Holy Spirit? I can shift things. I'm the causal agent to make that happen.

00:09:30:15 - 00:10:01:24
Unknown
And God's working through me, right? If I believe that to be true man, I would be praying all day long if I had the ability to shift my business, the ability to shift people and circumstances, the things around me. Right? And so we have. I believe so much more power than we realize. So the Holy Spirit operates inside of us so that we, when we are aligned in alignment with the spirit and we pray the power of God, I believe and I'm I'm starting to realize it activates.

00:10:01:27 - 00:10:09:25
Unknown
It shifts the things in our physical and spiritual realm.

00:10:09:27 - 00:10:32:12
Unknown
So what's my conclusion? My conclusion on prayer as I'm exploring this thing is there is power in prayer. I believe all Christians realize that, but they don't truly believe it. But there's power in prayer. There's four parts of this. That power comes from the Holy Spirit, which operates and is operating inside of us. And our prayer activates and affects our world.

00:10:32:15 - 00:10:57:20
Unknown
I have the ability to move a mountain. I have the ability to shift things with God working through me in the spirit. So the prayer, like an act of my prayer, activates and shifts my world, and we are the agent for that activation. If I don't pray, that shift may not happen. So my prayer, like I'm the agent, I'm the start.

00:10:57:22 - 00:11:17:11
Unknown
God's waiting for us to activate, to shift the world around us. And it happens through prayer. So this is a major shift for me as I started to process and think through these things. Right. I'm still on that exploration and that journey and right, I'm showing up with more power in the way that I pray with more authority in Jesus name.

00:11:17:14 - 00:11:34:17
Unknown
I'm showing up with more. I'm praying more than I ever have. And the people around me that I've shared this with are praying more than they ever have, because now they realize they have so much more power than they ever thought. And it's not just waiting for God to answer a prayer, right? We're waiting for God to answer this prayer.

00:11:34:17 - 00:11:49:25
Unknown
What if he actually gave us the ability to make things happen with the Holy Spirit? What if we're not just waiting for an answer? What if I can go shift something through the spirit which I believe we can? So if that's true, man, I'm going to be asking for God. And I'm going to be I'm going to be praying over things.

00:11:49:25 - 00:12:06:00
Unknown
I'm going to be praying over people for healing. I'm going to be praying over the businesses success. I'm going to be praying that these things glorify God. I'm going to be praying that the the right, the right things happen inside of our government. I'm going to be praying over our president. I'm praying over everything because I know that that prayer has power.

00:12:06:07 - 00:12:31:18
Unknown
It has the power to shift. It has the power to influence the world around us. So I want to challenge you to step into a new level, a new level of faith and belief in your prayer. Believe that these things will shift. Allow God's will right to happen, and leave space for that. And can you? Can you leave space for God's will while also praying and faith and belief?

00:12:31:20 - 00:12:42:25
Unknown
Yes you can. And so I want to challenge you. Pray in faith. Pray and belief, and step into a new level of prayer and transformation through your prayers.
