Here is the one skill you must master if you want to create incredible success. All right. This same skill is what high level executives have. At the same time, some of the most successful entrepreneurs. Are you ready for it? Resourcefulness. Your ability to find the resources and find a way. When you have a goal or an action that you want to go accomplish is the most important thing that you can become skillful at.

00:00:30:04 - 00:00:52:15

And yes, resourcefulness is a skill. I had a vision of growing my restoration company, right? We had scaled from a million to 5 million to 8 million. I wanted to take it to the next level, and I knew that associations were going to be that thing, because I didn't know what I didn't know. And so I decided I needed to get some mentorship from a guy that had built a very large restoration company.

00:00:52:15 - 00:01:10:07
Unknown
So I knew this. I knew this guy, Jim, he had built a restoration company over 100 million, very successful. And I found out that he was going to my church. So I'm thinking, okay, how do I get in front of this guy? And so I ended up joining a Bible study that was kind of on the side that, you know, Jim and I joined the Bible study, and I'm not loving the study.

00:01:10:10 - 00:01:31:29
Unknown
So I go and I realize that Jim is running. He's the main guy in another Bible study, a very intimate study. And so I end up finding my way and entering his Bible study. I join his Bible study. I start to befriend him, and that guy eventually becomes the mentor to me and helped me grow and scale and systemize my business.

00:01:32:01 - 00:01:56:14

There was one issue, one problem that I had that he ended up saving me $1 million, $1 million because of some advice that this guy told me not to do. He said, don't do this. I was in the middle of a prevailing wage job. And so resourcefulness. Do you have the ability to find the way? Do you have the ability to put the resources together, to find the resources to accomplish the vision that you have?

00:01:56:16 - 00:02:18:19

When we first started Rise Up Kings, I had a vision and a plan, and I gave myself two months to execute on a very large vision of growing one of the largest Christian personal development organizations in the country. So I gave myself two weeks to put on the very first event. I had no instructors. I had very limited content.

00:02:18:19 - 00:02:41:12
Unknown
I didn't have the location, I had nothing in place. And within two months we ran our very first event with the instructor, with all of the locations, with the drivers, with the vans, everything was put in place. That was a big God thing 100%. And God has given me the ability to be resourceful. And so one of the best things that you can do is find a way to be resourceful.

00:02:41:13 - 00:03:06:27
Unknown
Never settle with this. Can't be done. Avoid and remove can't from your vocabulary. There's always a way. So I look at Elon Musk. That guy is one of the most resourceful human beings on the planet. He finds a way. I look at Donald Trump extremely resourceful. Jeff Bezos incredibly resourceful. When they get a vision, they're able to go navigate and find the way.

00:03:06:27 - 00:03:29:18
Unknown
My wife says, Skyler, you're one of the best at figuring things out. So how do you become that guy? How do you become the guy or the gal where you can figure anything out? And if you're like, yeah, I'm already that person, will Kourt go set a bigger goal? Go set a much bigger goal that requires you to have incredible resourcefulness, to figure out the path to get to that goal.

00:03:29:21 - 00:03:46:08
Unknown
Right. So there's always a next level of resourcefulness, right? There's the base level. But man, there's so many more levels above that when it comes to resourcefulness. And so I want to tell you so what are some ways to increase resourcefulness. Number one is set a big goal. Set something so big you don't know how to get it done.

00:03:46:08 - 00:04:09:12
Unknown
And then see how well you can put the people and the things in place. Resourcefulness requires many times people do. You have the ability to influence and to get people to buy into your vision, to get something done. Do you have the ability to find the money, the financial resources to get things done? Do you have the ability to find the knowledge right?

00:04:09:12 - 00:04:35:29
Unknown
Are you utilizing ChatGPT are utilizing these other platforms to find the knowledge to be able to execute those things. So you have the people, you have the things, you have the you have the knowledge, you have the financial resources that are needed. So practicing to increase the level of resourcefulness. Now resourcefulness is a skill. But you also want to play in a bigger pond where you have more association.

00:04:36:02 - 00:05:03:27
Unknown
You're going to have more resources, right? I was a part of an entrepreneur group, and that one entrepreneur group opened me up to a wide source of resources. And so go place yourself into communities, into entrepreneur communities, into faith communities, into fitness communities, right into these different arenas. And from those arenas start to build relationships with people, because that one relationship could be the key to a vast array of resources.

00:05:03:27 - 00:05:22:28
Unknown
They could be the entry point, right? So the relationships build relationships because you love people and build relationships because you realize, man, they're a great place to access resources and to support and to help other people to achieve the vision that maybe God has placed on your heart. So I want to challenge you step into a new level of resourcefulness.

00:05:22:28 - 00:05:31:24
Unknown
Go find out. Go read some books. Go figure out how to become more resourceful so that you can be the master at figuring things out.
