Episode Title: From Cleaning Homes to Changing the Industry with Carrie Everett, Founder of Safiee

What happens when an everyday challenge turns into a groundbreaking innovation?

In this episode of Entrepreneur Like ME, Courtney Garrett sits down with Carrie Everett, founder and inventor of Safiee—a first-of-its-kind cleaning product created from years of hands-on experience as a professional house cleaner.

Carrie's journey is anything but ordinary. Without a formal business education, she transformed an idea born on the job into a patent-pending product, navigating trademarks, manufacturing, and product development with determination and the support of Michigan's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Along the way, she was recognized as the 2025 Innovator of the Year by the Midland Business Alliance.

But this conversation goes beyond entrepreneurship. Carrie opens up about motherhood, recovery, resilience, and the courage to believe in herself when the odds seemed stacked against her. Her story is a powerful reminder that innovation can come from everyday experiences—and that your past doesn't define your future.

Whether you're an entrepreneur, inventor, dreamer, or someone waiting for the right time to take the first step, this episode will leave you inspired to trust your ideas and keep moving forward.

In this episode, you'll hear:

  • How Safiee was inspired by a real-world problem
  • The journey from cleaning homes to becoming an award-winning inventor
  • Lessons learned while navigating patents, trademarks, and manufacturing
  • The power of community resources and asking for help

But as you know, this is your host, Courtney Garrett. Um, we have taken a little break, but here we are. We're back with another episode, and this

Welcome Back And Meet Carrie

SPEAKER_00

story is going to be uh super fantastic. Um, today's guest is someone whose story is equal parts inspiring and innovative. Uh, Carrie Everett is the creator and founder of Safety, and that is a brand new product designed to solve a problem professional cleaners have dealt with for years. So, everyone, please welcome Carrie Everett to our podcast today. Hi! Oh my god, how welcome back? Yes, thank you. It has been um some time, and I'm super excited to get started with you. And we are in Midland today. So we have now completed the rounds of recording in every one of our podcast rooms. So this is exciting.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so excited to round it out with you.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, Carrie, this is fantastic. Yes. Um, I've read your story. Your story is so inspiring to me, and I'm super excited to get everyone else out there to know exactly who you are and like how things came about for you. Um join us in leveling the playing field of entrepreneurship with the Entrepreneur Like Me podcast, where diversity meets innovation and every idea has the power to become a game changer. So, Carrie, our first question of the day is always the same. And it is, what fuels your fire?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, wow. Yeah. You start it right out.

SPEAKER_00

You start it right out. It's so deep.

SPEAKER_01

Well, a lot fuels my fire. Yeah. And like we had previously talked about, there's a lot of different factors in my story

What Fuels Her Fire

SPEAKER_01

that really fuels the passion and the motivation to keep going forward with safety. So, for example, if you want an example of like a one log for the fire, it would be my past where I've come from, my addiction and the barriers that I've overcome. Another log would be my daughter to show her to that anything is possible. Absolutely. Woman empowerment. Um, you know, another log to fuel the fire would be the cleaning community and that this product does solve a problem that a lot of people have. So there's a lot of different logs that fuel this fire, but it is burning, definitely. I am very passionate at a lot of different angles.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I love that, Carrie. So tell me, tell us about Carrie before Safety. So, like, who are you? Where how did this become a journey for you?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Well, I was born and raised in Midland. I come from a great family, um, played sports very athletic in my younger years. Um, I kind of got mixed up when I was younger, um, got mixed up in the wrong crowd,

Recovery And Becoming A Cleaner

SPEAKER_01

made some bad choices, went down the wrong road, and I ended up being addicted to drugs. Um, obviously that's a whole story in itself. Um, but it was something that I had to deal with for many, many years. I uh was a young mom. I had my daughter when I was very young. Um, so kind of a combination of things and barriers that I had to overcome um in my past. Um, I worked really hard to be where I'm at today. A lot of things were put in place. I had to, you know, gain myself confidence back. I had to relearn things, how to do things. Um, but I have overcome my addiction. And I'm sitting here today. I don't necessarily keep track, but I'm a little over seven years clean. I love this. I have a great relationship with my daughter today, and I am a professional cleaner. I own my own cleaning business, and that's really where safety has transpired. Um, I was out in the field cleaning a residential property, and I just thought of this idea because we use these tools all the time as cleaners, and I'm talking about like a scrub daddy sponge. Um, and we don't have anywhere to put it when we're done with it. So I literally thought of this while I was cleaning, and it has transpired from there. But I'm a 40-year-old woman, I have a 21, 22-year-old daughter, I have a great family, and I am a small business owner on top of being an innovator. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I love this. Now, I first of all, scrub daddies, I didn't even know anything about a scrub daddy. I'm just tell y'all that right now. Um until I found out about your business, like a I swear it was like about maybe a year ago now, like or six months or so ago. And I'm like, well, what's a scrub daddy? I'm like, you don't want a scrub daddy? I'm like, no, I'm old-fashioned. I have like the SOS pack. Yeah, no, the little sponge. Yeah, the little sponge and stuff. It's like, what's a scrub daddy? So I found scrub daddies and I was like, oh, oh, why haven't I been using a scrub daddy? So, and then I realized what your product was, and I said, This is perfect for a scrub daddy because it just sits all over my counters everywhere and just sopping up wet stuff and cross-contaminated.

SPEAKER_01

It's cross-contaminated, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm like, Safety's perfect because I need it from my scrub daddies that I just found.

SPEAKER_01

And it's that's why it's just it's an amazing product. Not only is it for professional cleaners like myself, but it's for domestic cleaners, people that just have a scrub daddy sitting out on your counter or in that little clear container that they make that you can stick it onto your sink.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

All you're doing is you're creating a cesspool of germs and bacteria on that sponge. Yeah. So what Safey does is it contains the

The Problem Safie Solves

SPEAKER_01

sponge with a vented bottom, air ventilation holes, and it has a hook on the side. So you can actually take your scrub daddy and after you wring it out, put it in the safety, and you can hang it underneath your sink if you want, just to get it off the counter completely. It just clears up space, organization, right? No cross-contamination. There's no mold, no bacteria growth because of the airflow and the vented bottom, the way it's set up.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I was just gonna ask, like, so tell me a little bit about like how safety works and and just to know that you know you can put that in there and it's not cross-contaminating. I think that is fantastic.

SPEAKER_01

Right. As a professional cleaner, when we're typically when we're on the job, we would be done using the scrub daddy sponge. If I just got done cleaning your bathtub and I'm scrubbing it out and I'm done cleaning, I have nowhere to put it. The alternative is a Ziploc baggie, which is gross, or a bigger Tupperware, which is inconvenient, or just to jam it in the side of your cleaning tote, but that's gross. Because one thing that people kind of get confused on is that as a professional cleaner, we do reuse these tools because they're expensive. So, what we'll do is that on your job, I'll use the scrub daddy, but then like I said, I have nowhere to put it. So I'll put it in the safety, take it back to my home, my office, we disinfect all the tools. So then I'll take it out of the safety, disinfect the scrub daddy, disinfect your safety, you reset, and then you're ready for the next day. So you put it back in the safety and it's good to go in in a professional cleaning setting. A lot of people get confused. They're like, oh, you reuse the scrub daddy. And it's like, well, yes, you can reuse it. You can disinfect it and it's just like brand new again. It's like a brand new sponge, just like you could at home.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I I managed hotels for years, and I mean, I know we just housekeepers, they do what they have to do, right?

SPEAKER_01

We disinfect everything before we go to someone else's home with the same tools. It's the same thing with your vacuum cleaners or any other products that you use. We aren't just gonna use a scrub daddy one time and then just throw it away.

SPEAKER_00

And those things are expensive.

SPEAKER_01

They're expensive. So we take it back to our office or our home area and we disinfect it, and then you can put it back in your safety and it's ready to go to the next property.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. So this product is pretty much almost ready for market.

SPEAKER_01

It's we're so close, I can taste it. It is so close. I have been working extremely hard with a company called RM, and they are out of Clio, and they do injection molding. Um, they are so

How Safie Works Day To Day

SPEAKER_01

close to the final part of finishing up, and that's I mean, a big deal. This has been months in the working. Um, and I I just saw a picture this morning, and I gotta say, it's like having a second child. It's like seeing, I mean, seeing that tool brings tears to my eyes. I'm it's just incredible. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And I call it a she, the tool is almost ready. So they're gonna do some tests, and then what will happen is they'll transport it up to uh Cal Collins, Saginaw Bay Plastics, is where it will be actually manufactured and produced right off the conveyor belt. So they'll do some testing there, and then we're ready for sales. We're gonna go right into sale. Um, I will have a launch date, I'm hoping within the next week or so. Okay. So we're talking weeks here. Like this is very, it's gonna happen very soon.

SPEAKER_00

Love this. Yeah. So if someone told you five years ago you'd be an innovate, an inventor. What would you have said?

SPEAKER_01

I probably would have laughed, honestly. And been like, okay, I'm I mean, if that's what you tell me. Um, but that is something, I mean, even five years ago, like I said, I've been in recovery for a little over seven. So I might have been able to see it, but

Getting Ready To Launch

SPEAKER_01

you know, something that addiction took from me was my creativity. I've always been a very creative person, um, a theater kid. I loved being on stage. Um, but once I got into drugs really bad, it took that from me, literally. And so my sobriety and my recovery, it's really been peeling back just different layers of my own creativity that I've expressed on social media or even with this product. Um, you know, it it takes a certain type of brain to just kind of come up with a this idea of safety does not exist. This product does not exist. I don't have a reference to go off of, it's literally an innovative idea out of my brain. And I mean, maybe five years ago I would have said, Oh yeah, maybe I believe you, you know. But I think through my sobriety, I've become more confident and I've become more confident in myself to where I can be like, you know what? Yeah, I probably would invent if invent something in five years. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, no, for sure. Kind of created a confidence within myself.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that confidence, when you have that confidence back within yourself, you can take on so much.

SPEAKER_01

Girl, anything.

SPEAKER_00

You can walk a little, you can walk whatever lines anybody throws at you.

SPEAKER_01

And that's what we were talking about previously, is that it takes a certain type of person to do this and to go through the stages of bringing a brand new product to market all the way to market. And I don't have a trust fund, I don't have all this money. I go to work every day and I work hard for my money, and I work hard to get to where I'm at. And there are barriers, like we talked about. And it does take a certain type of strength and confidence to get through them and to know, okay, this is gonna be okay. I'm gonna be okay, we're gonna move forward. It really does a combination of things.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I love that so much. You um just just knowing like all those different things and how you've kind of come from that and really taking it and saying, like, you know, this is this is what I want, and I'm going to see it all the way through.

SPEAKER_01

All the way through.

SPEAKER_00

How did you know this wasn't just a good idea, but it was a business?

SPEAKER_01

I it's kind of hard to explain. It's a gut intuition. Yeah. It's the only really way, it's a feeling.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's a feeling I have in my soul. Yeah. It's the only way to really explain it. And I can just feel it. That this, like I said, is so much more than just a container to store your scrub daddy.

Knowing It Is A Business

SPEAKER_01

It holds, and it just holds so much more than just that. And I think that that's what's gonna be the groundbreaker for safety, is my passion and my story and what it means to me to bring this all the way to market is what's gonna really be groundbreaking, I think, for Safety.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So you're very um op you you openly share your recovery journey. Yes. So what would you say has that experience shaped you as an entrepreneur right now? Like how you've become an entrepreneur.

SPEAKER_01

I would say very adaptable. That would probably be my first word I would say is adaptable, because you have to be adaptable. If you're if you're in the business world just in general, you've got to be able to adapt, pivot, change, be open-minded. Um, and you've got to be able to kind of move and flow, which kind of goes right back into adaptability. Um, if you aren't adaptable and you can't move with what's going on around you, you're gonna sink.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. No, you are spot on with that because people want to stick. Yeah. Stay in like, you know, I I'm gonna bet my all and I'm just gonna stand in this and I'm gonna see that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And you and you can, yeah, but don't jump off a cliff for something that need you where you need to pivot.

SPEAKER_01

No, right. And that's where I think a lot of people, you know, do. Even it's not quitting, even. Yeah. If you pivot, you can pivot and just move in a different way to just transpire something differently. Even with safety, when I started with this, I have the Scrub Daddy model that I'm coming out with, but there is another model for a pumice stone that professional cleaners use. However, when I first came out with it, I just came out with the pumice stone size. Didn't you know? Well, long story short, I didn't think about the size needed to be a little bit bigger to convert to all sizes of pumice stones. Well, if I didn't be open to change, I would have still been stuck back there and not adapted and changed the size to accommodate for bigger sizes. So it just, it's just being open and being able to be adaptable to other people and to your own opinions. You've got to be able to be like, okay, this is what I feel and I think and I want and I know. However, I gotta still listen to my other people, you know, around me, yeah. And and go with what's right in the end.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So pivoting is is huge, guys. Yes. Make sure you're open to pivoting because uh you really can that can make or break your business, honestly.

SPEAKER_01

It's not quitting. It's pivot.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You you can pivot into a new direction, even to a new space. Uh it's the options are endless. It's not quitting. You can just pivot and change and be adaptable.

SPEAKER_00

So you building safety pretty much is building something from nothing. And how no, not necessarily how? Who was instrumental in that journey? Because I know you've worked with multiple different organizations. You, I mean, you didn't, I mean, I'm not saying that you didn't go to business school, but how did you learn all the patents, the trademarks, and manufacturing and the product development and all the things that kind of go into creating a product? Because

Adaptability And Pivoting Without Quitting

SPEAKER_00

a lot of people think, you know, it just magically appears. Yeah. But not knowing that you've got to go through a lot of different steps.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of steps. And when I first had thought of this, I didn't, I didn't know. Yeah, I didn't go to business school and I'm girl, I'm taking it day by day. Yeah. I go day by day and I do it chunk by chunk. And I've worked with the SVSU organization at the business college. Yes. Um, they have developed these prototypes, 3D printed these prototypes. They've been amazing over there. They have helped me in multiple aspects of safety and the development and just learning about business, financial, I mean, all of it together is alongside with CMURC and the resources here and the MBA, the resources there. I mean, the combination of all of them together. And then, like I said, I take it day by day. Today I'm doing a podcast and I have to go clean houses after this. I have, you know what I mean? Tomorrow it's gonna be something different. Next week, we'll take it. We might be selling, you know what I mean? It's just I take it day by day, chunk by chunk, and I'm like, okay, I know that I'm getting ready to produce and manufacture, so I'm really advertising. I'm trying to really do social media and promote, but I'm just really taking it chunk by chunk because, like you said, there's multiple, multiple steps and layers. And without my local resources help, I would not be where I'm at today.

SPEAKER_00

Now, some people say, you know, there's lots of resources around. Like, how did you find those resources? Like, I know something sometimes things can be intimidating. So, like, what how did you feel walking in and asking the questions and and being able to be connected with all these individuals?

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's something about safety too, that the universe has a weird way of

Finding Mentors Prototypes And Patents

SPEAKER_01

just aligning things sometimes. And and then that kind of does reassure you that gut intuition. And this is another perfect example. Um, I had came up with the idea, had no idea what I was doing, but I knew that I was gonna need money to get to some next step, you know. Like I said, I'm sitting on my couch, I have no idea what I'm doing, and I just start messaging my contact list and I'm telling them, hey, this is what I've got in my I've got this idea. What do I do? Where do I go? Who do I talk to? And I literally went through my contacts, over 500 people just oh, oh, I'll message them. I'll message them, copy, paste, copy, paste. And I came across Andrea, who works at the MBA. I went to school with her. And I messaged her, copy pasted it, and she messaged me back, Carrie, that's what I do for a living. And it's one of the ways that the universe aligned. Now, here's another one. So I go into the MBA to meet with Andrea, and she said, You need to meet with my boss so you can pitch her the idea, see where we can go. Her name's Nicole. And I'm like, Okay. So I'm in this meeting in the small room with Andrea, and I'm all nervous. This is in the very, very beginning. I've never pitched it. It was just literally, I had a at that point, I had a Ziploc baggie and a Tupperware and a Scrub Daddy to show, you know, the process.

SPEAKER_00

You were thinking, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And Nicole walks in, and I about fell out of my chair because Nicole is somebody that I know very well because I knew her sister. And I grew up with her sister. And I was very close with her sister, and her sister has now passed.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

So when I saw Nicole, it was like everything collided all together at once. And I was just like, and Nicole was just like, and we were all just like, oh my gosh, this is happening. Look at that. And so that's another way the universe has lined up. So I already knew Nicole. She sat down, she heard the story, and she said, Carrie, you've got something. This is something, this is something big. And I just used my resources from them. They connected me to SVSU, which connected me to CMURC. And it's just been it's literally the universe has lined it up like that.

SPEAKER_00

I can't but you jumped out on faith by just messaging everybody. I did. Like you didn't you didn't say, like, oh, maybe I shouldn't. No, you said, okay, listen, I've got all these contacts for a reason. Yep. Now I'm about to use them. And sometimes we're afraid to use our contacts and ask the question. Close mouths, do not give it. No. So you need to open and jump out there and see. You don't, you don't have to tell everybody everything at the beginning. It's just more of, hey, I think I have this. Yeah. I love that.

SPEAKER_01

And that and that's really where I was. I just I knew that it solved the problem because I was professionally cleaning and I knew that this was needed. But like I said, I didn't know how to get to the next box, but I knew that I was gonna need help. Yeah. So that's like you said, I went through my contacts and I just shared what with what I had. I just had this idea, and Andrea was the connection, and then Nicole was the connection, and then I went to SVSU and then at CMURs. It's just been just all fell in place. It has. It really has.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that love. I I love this so much. And you just you from that, it's just use your resources. Reach out. It is uh there's so many different things in the Great Lakes Bay region. There's all types of resources you can use. Uh SVSU is an amazing resource for someone who is looking to start a product.

SPEAKER_01

They have been, um, even the shirt, I mean, the bag that I have, they they print, they'll print, you know, a t-shirt with Safe's logo on it, so then I can wear it and go out and promote it. I they have a bag, they printed Safety on it, they've been printing my prototypes. I I mean, the resources that they've just given me alone, I mean, and then C. M URC aligning me with my to get patents and trademarks, I never would have been able to do that by myself. And so it does take an army, just like it takes a team. It takes a team. And yes, I am kind of the one leading it and pushing it forward, but without these resources helping me and guiding me, this would not be where it's at today. So that goes right back into the confidence of having inside myself and in this product that passion, those logs that we talked about in the beginning. Yeah. All of it all circles in together for this product because I am passionate because of the reasons why we talked about.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

But it also solves the problem that cleaners have. So it just all coincides together. And then you utilize your local resources and anything can happen. I've been telling everybody and anybody, you gotta dream bigger. Dream bigger because anything can happen. If I can be doing this, you can be doing anything you want to be doing. And it's the truth.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. If the your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough.

SPEAKER_01

I I Amen. Yes. Yes. Dream. Yes. I love that.

SPEAKER_00

So you were named innovative, innovative, innervator of the year. Oh my gosh. Why is that word giving me all types of trouble today? Innovator of the Year Award with the Michigan Business Alliance. What did that recognition mean to you?

SPEAKER_01

I felt seen. I felt seen and I felt like all I don't want to tear up,

Innovator Of The Year Moment

SPEAKER_01

but it did. When they told me that, it was very emotional for me because I there's a lot of work, as you know, that goes behind the scenes. So many crash outs and sleepless nights and calls to my mom and calls to my cleaning friends. And you know, there's been a lot of tears, a lot of tears. And when they told me that I was getting innovator of the year, I mean, I was like, Me? I mean, I just felt very seen for all of my work that people don't see. Yeah. That, you know, social media doesn't see, even your family doesn't see. It's just you sometimes in this product. And you're just kind of looking at it like it's me and you here, you know? And so that award really made me feel seen, my work seen, and my message just seen in general.

SPEAKER_00

That's so that's so beautiful. It is. I swear it is. So, what advice would you give someone sitting on an idea because they're afraid they don't know enough?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, I would say go for it, no matter what, go for it. And just like I did, utilize your local resources, go through your contact list, message it on Facebook, go into groups, ask questions. You have to be around like-minded people if you're going to shoot to bring a product to market. Um, if I'm

Advice For People With Ideas

SPEAKER_01

not around people that are thinking the same thing, and if let's put it this way, if I'm the smartest person in the room, there's a problem. I want to be around intelligent people that know more than me, that can guide me and that can help me and support me in any way in this process. And so just being around like-minded people, if you have an idea and you're like, okay, what do I do? Get on Facebook and be like, this is my idea. Where do I go? Or ask your mom, ask your dad, or go to a group. There's lots of different outlets that can possibly be your Andrea that my that Andrea was for me. That door, she opened it for me.

SPEAKER_00

I love that.

SPEAKER_01

And I will be forever grateful.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's so beautiful. Oh my gosh. Shout out to you, Andrea. Sorry. Yeah, I know you're fantastic. I this is this is so amazing for me. Uh, I love seeing stories like this because they come full circle. Yeah, you know what I mean? You know, someone you've known for years, you come back and it's like, oh my gosh, you are now the reason why I'm here. Yes. And it's just the reconnection. And again, don't be afraid to reach out to people. You just never know who might be that connector for you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, again, because Andrea, I hadn't talked to her in years. Yeah, it's you know, we yeah, we hadn't talked personally in years. And I, like I said, I just was copying pasting this vision that I had, and that was her response back to me was literally, Carrie, that's what I do for a living. And that's how the ball got going. So, I mean, it's as easy and as quick as that could happen, but there is obviously work you got to put in behind it. Yeah, you've got to really want it. And if you really want it, go for it. And like you said, dream bigger because anything is happening.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. So, why is it so important for you to manufacture this product locally? And I love that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, well, that was like the number one thing on the checklist is it was not gonna be an overseas product, it was gonna be local. I'm very hands-on. I want to see what's happening, I want to know who's making it. So that was very important to me. And just being able to be able to kind of re-up is say we sell out of these products. You want to I don't want to wait four weeks to have to get a crate

Why Manufacture Locally In Michigan

SPEAKER_01

from overseas. It's all locally made in the state of Michigan, which is fantastic.

SPEAKER_00

Michigan made, y'all. Michigan made. Yep. Michigan made. Oh, love that. Yeah, that is huge. Yes. That is huge. Yes. Oh my gosh. So, what do you hope people say the first time they use safety?

SPEAKER_01

Wow. I and I hope, and I I know a lot of people say, Why didn't I think of this? Yeah. Um, because it is, it's one of those things that's like, well, why didn't I think of this? It that is, it is, it solves a problem that everybody has that has a scrub daddy sponge or a pumice stone, or even, you know, I've used it for steel wool, just cleaning tools in general. Yeah, it's a storage container. And so I hope they say, Oh, wow, this is useful. And it it actually works. And I I I hope the first word is wow, though. That would be great. That's that would make me feel good.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So we have some rabid fire questions. Okay. Let's see. Coffee or tea? Coffee. Iced. Iced coffee. I love a good iced coffee. Yeah. It makes you feel good, doesn't it? Even in the wintertime, I'm like iced coffee. I don't want any high coffee. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Are you an early bird? Night owl.

SPEAKER_01

I think a little bit of both. Um, I am more creative in the morning, but I do like night, you know, but I'm a homebody. So I would be like at home, maybe watching a show at

Rapid Fire And Favorite Products

SPEAKER_01

night, yeah, up late at night. But maybe in the morning I'm more creative doing social media, you know, type stuff. Yeah. A little bit of both.

SPEAKER_00

I like that. Yeah. That's kind of how I am. Like I'm early bird, get stuff done. Let's work, let's do all these things. But seven o'clock, I'm like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm ready to go. Where's my couch? Right. Just chill out, you know. I want to relax. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

So, what's the biggest lesson entrepreneurship has taught you?

SPEAKER_01

Well, the biggest lesson, I mean, there's been so many, like we had mentioned. Um, I mean, I think it's really as simple as just don't give up. Yeah. Just, I mean, I know that sounds probably really cheesy, but it really is. It's just don't give up. I've had a lot of barriers. I've had a lot of people say no to me. No, that's not gonna work. No, do it this way. But just don't give up and follow your intuition.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

That little voice in your head, it's not lying, even though you want it to be lying sometimes. It's not lying. And if you really listen to it and follow it, it can lead you to magical places. I know that sounds crazy, but don't give up and listen to your intuition.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. Okay. What's one app you can't live without?

SPEAKER_01

Oh man, one app I can't live without. I mean, this one's kind of tricky. It's a tricky one to think. I mean, technically, I can't, I mean, because I'm on Facebook a lot, but it's because of business. You know, so it's like, but I could really live without it. I mean, probably. Uh, I mean, I'm gonna be corny and I guess I'm gonna say my banking app. There you go.

SPEAKER_00

That's where I was headed. I was like, it's either Robinhood or my banking app. I need to know what's going on and I need to know I'm still making money.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. So I'm gonna go with my bank app. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Amen. I love that. What's one word people use to describe you?

SPEAKER_01

Um describe me, I think I don't know. That's kind of a hard question for me to answer. Maybe creative. Um, sometimes I'm funny.

SPEAKER_00

I love it.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I'm a good listener, I'm very passionate. Yes. And like I said earlier, I am very adaptable. And I hope people would say that about me, I guess. Because I I view myself as that too.

SPEAKER_00

I definitely would say passionate for sure. You're so passionate about these things, and I love it. I love it so much. Uh favorite cleaning product besides safety.

SPEAKER_01

Well, oh I love ZEP. It's a line of cleaning products, and they have one product particular, and it's called the Zap Purple Degreaser. And it's specifically for like engineer stuff, but it degreases an oven like no other, like butter. I need to go. You know what I mean? And it just works like magic. And I would say that's probably my favorite cleaning product right now is Zap Purple Degreaser.

SPEAKER_00

Oh I think we all need ZEP Purple Degreaser. It works for your ovens. All right. Finish this sentence. Success means Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That is that's kind of that can get deep too.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, it can.

SPEAKER_01

Success means what to you? Success means the future to me. I don't know why that came out like that, but I think I can feel it that this is going to be successful. And I think that's gonna be the next chapter of my life. You know, I've had all these chapters and some of them haven't been the greatest, and I just feel like this next chapter, Safey, is gonna be successful and it's the future.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. That is so spot on. So Safie is coming to market soon. Tell us how we can find it, what we can do, how can we follow your story? Absolutely. How can we find you? What do I need to do?

SPEAKER_01

I am on all social media uh platforms TikTok, uh, Facebook, Instagram, Safie, or you can follow CNA Services, which is my cleaning company. Okay. Um, I do have separate platforms for Safie and my cleaning, but you know, sometimes they coincide. Um, but my website will be the e-commerce

Where To Buy And Follow Safie

SPEAKER_01

website, direct to consumer sales, which is www.safie.com.

SPEAKER_00

And that's S-A-F-I-E.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. S-A-F-I-E-E safie.com. And you can go to the website soon. The product will be available. Like I said, I'm gonna be coming out with a launch date in the next week. Okay. So as soon as that launch date hits, then mark it on your calendar. You can go right to the website and go to the TikTok shop. I'm gonna be on an Amazon and you can buy the product.

SPEAKER_00

Love this. Oh my gosh. Carrie, it's been great.

SPEAKER_01

Well, welcome back. I I hope it was a good one back for you. I guess it was. It was fantastic.

SPEAKER_00

I love it. I love all these things, and I think you're gonna be doing such great work. I appreciate it. I think it's gonna be so fantastic, and I'm excited for your launch, and I know this is gonna be a game changer for you.

SPEAKER_01

I appreciate that. I I hope so too. I can't wait. I'm so excited.

SPEAKER_00
