Women in... Episode 36: Chloe McCarthy - Guinness World Record behind the scenes + women in storytelling

Chloe is a former journalist and a forever storyteller. 


She started her career as a local TV reporter in Traverse City, Michigan, and was shortly promoted to the station's weekend anchor. She reported on everything from city politics to  the impact of climate change on the Great Lakes and even spent a week at Marine boot camp for a special report on female recruits. In 2019, she was named the Reporter of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. 


She left the world of local news in 2021 to launch her communications company Chloe Marie Media LLC. 


Now, she uses her storytelling skills to create compelling digital marketing, PR, and social media campaigns for several clients. Chloe says her superpower is finding and highlighting the good things happening to generate positive buzz. She has worked with a variety of industries and specializes in public school district PR. 


Outside the office, Chloe is a yogi, wife, dog owner, explorer, and one of a few global adjudicators for Guinness World Records. In this role, she acts as a spokesperson and judge to document, verify, validate, measure, and celebrate greatness around North America.


In all of her roles, she loves documenting and celebrating moments big and small.
