Hey, welcome back to another episode of the FilMan Podcast. We're from Modern Beauty Con. Yeah. And we're at the Moxie booth. Yes. Thank you, Moxie- Yes, thank you so much ... for giving us these beautiful chairs. Oh my God. We got in yesterday. We're gonna be here- Lots of traffic ... lot of traffic. We decided to drive instead of fly. Don't do that. Guys, where this conference is is absolutely beautiful. In Boston, I have never... Well, I- this is, like, my third or fourth time in Boston. But not this area. Oh my God. Yeah. You pass Harvard. It is so, so cute. Yep. There's an Hermès at the corner. Just saying. Um- John, you're staying here. I know. I'm- I need to be distracted. I do. I love it. But yes, it's been so much fun. We're in the expo hall. We're at the Moxie booth, um, and we're gonna be interviewing attendees and speakers all day. Yes. Yep. Yeah. What's your... What are you most excited for? I'm most excited to, um, I think, talk to Julie Kaplan- Mm-hmm ... Leslie Fletcher. I feel like we haven't had them on the podcast yet. Yeah. So I wanna hear from them. Yes. And I feel like they've been speakers in this industry for so long. Yep. Just to hear some pearls of wisdom from them would be awesome. Absolutely. What about you? I'm so excited to interview a bunch of attendees. Yes. I know. I can't wait to see w- like, what everyone likes to hear- Yeah wants to see. And, uh, Britt, our esthetician at Exhibit is- I know ... speaking today. Yes. So I'm very excited to attend her- Yep ... presentation. Yep, I'll be there with you. I love it. Um, yeah, we're gonna be doing red carpet interviews. We have, like, a bunch of questions. Yep. Which is really exciting, so I think it'll be good for content. Yeah. We'll be tagging everybody that comes in. We'll make sure of it. Yep. Um, yeah. What else? I love it. We're right next to the Allergan booth as well, guys, which is right next door. Yep, another one of our family. Yes. Our family's right next door. And then, um, I'll be filming for Alley later today too- Mm-hmm which will be really fun. But, um, the conferences are really fun for, obviously, networking. They did a huge cadaver lab yesterday- Mm-hmm ... which went really well. Yep. Um, so a lot of people came early for it, and then there was a business track here, which I think started on T- Tuesday or Wednesday. Which you presented for. I did. Yes. I did. It was fun. It was good. Tell them what y- what did you talk about? Yes. It was all about the consultation before the call, so basically how the consultation starts outside of the practice. So it starts on social media. It starts with your Google reviews. It starts with your branding. So it was really fun to do, so I hope to do it next year as well. Do you know if people can access that after the fact? They can. Okay. They actually recorded it, and so I think it's gonna be available after Modern Beauty Con is over- Great ... which will be great, so you guys can watch it. Okay, guys. So we're back at Modern Beauty Con. We're on a coffee break, so we're like, "Why don't we come and film someone?" Do some little interviews. Yes. So- All right, Cami ... Cami, come on. You wanna be our first victim? I love it. Cami is a PA. Yes. She's an injector, actually, at our practice exhibit. Yep. So Cami, John's gonna- So- ... ask you some questions ... Cami, is this your first time at Modern Beauty Con? Yes, it is. Yes. And why did you choose this conference? So actually, I had listened to your podcast where you guys talked about conferences, wrote it all down, and I'm attending all of those conferences. But also, my boss paid for me to come. Best boss ever. Yeah. She really is. Thanks, guys. I love that. I love that. Um, what is one thing in aesthetics you wish more people understood? Oh, one thing definitely is that we as providers know what dosing is, especially when it comes to Botox. So I feel like there's this trend lately where everyone, like, wants to tell you how many units that they need, but really Botox is an art. It's not one size fits all. We know what's gonna look best for your anatomy. We want you to get the good duration out of it. So- Yeah ... you just have to trust us. When you're sitting in our chair, like, just let us pick your dose. We will not do you dirty, I promise. Yes, yes. And it's so hard. I feel like a lot of people come in, too, like, with a budget. Yes. It was like, we wanna, like, respect that budget- Of course but then we don't obviously wanna underdose them. Exactly. And then dose equals duration, right? Exactly, yeah. And we want them to look the most natural, and a lot of people think less units looks more natural, when in real- reality it's not. Right, Nicole? Right, right. Absolutely. Yeah. And to get that, that duration, you need- Yeah the accurate dosing. Yeah. It's funny, we were just talking about this too, like, you really have to learn the patient's muscles too. You do. So your first time coming to us, we always want a two-week follow-up- Mm-hmm ... because we have to know how it kicked in. Yes. You know? Mm-hmm. So. No, that's really smart. That's why two-week follow-ups are so important. All right. Um, who are you most excited to hear speak today? Yes. Oh my gosh. Britt, my bestie bestie. Yes. Come make a little appearance, Britt. Yeah. Come here. Yes. Tell us, okay, what are you speaking on? Nicole's Aesthetics. Yes. Also, Britt works at exhibit as well. Yes. Tell us what your presentation's on. Yeah. Um, it's on the collaboration between aestheticians and injectors- Mm-hmm ... specifically the way we do, like, a collaborative consult- Mm-hmm ... at our practice. Yeah. And you have to protect what you inject, right? Yes, exactly. Yeah. Exactly. Sorry, you can't... I don't- No, no, we came here to know. We did. It was great. It's really quiet in here. It's very busy. Very quiet. Um, what is one trend in aesthetics that you think needs to die? Trend that needs to die. I mean- And it could be skincare, it could be injectables ... beef tallow. Beef tallow. Um, Who wants to smell beef on face? Yeah. What? Oh my God. I don't know. I know, I know. I like beef. Corey, my husband, if you are wearing beef tallow, we're not together anymore. I can't. Yes. That's a good one. No. Um, what is your biggest skincare ick? My biggest skincare ick. Um, probably, I mean, honestly, this is a little controversial, but not washing your face in the morning. It's kinda shocking how many people tell me that. Mm-hmm. But I did just see somebody on a podcast say he doesn't mind when people do that. Oh. So, I don't know. To each their own, but I, I'm not into it. Wash your face in the morning. Like, Was it me? No, no. It wasn't you. It wasn't you. Because I did admit that I don't sometimes wash my face at night. Oh, well- I'm sorry I'm sure you have like- No, no. Yeah ... the cleanest face ever. That's, that's like a- Yeah ... no-brainer. No, yeah. It's either shower or wash your face, right? Yeah. No, no. It's okay. I love it. Great. Good luck. You're gonna kill it. Thanks. I need it. Oh my gosh. We're literally, guys, like... What? When does she start? Like 30 minutes. We're 30 minutes until her presentation, so you're gonna be amazing. Check you later. I know. And back to it. I love it. I love it. Oh my God. So we just watched Jenna Hilton- Yep ... um, give a lecture on gut health- Mm-hmm ... and like microbiome- Yep ... and how that's so important. Um, just we- Honestly, that was an incredible lecture. That was so good. I learned, I actually learned a lot. What did you think about the eye? Which? The eye. The, um... Was it Blakely from Tennessee? The, the complications she was talking about? Yes. Yep, yeah. She asked, she was doing a lecture about complications, and she did a scenario of a patient who came in, and she had a dilated pupil on the left side. Yeah, so mid-injection, she's like, "I can't see." And of course- Mm ... any injector would be like- Yep ... "Oh, " Yes. Yes. Any injector would be. Yeah. Yes. But it ended up being the lidocaine with phenylephrine got in her eye. With phenylephrine. Which caused her pupil- So vasal constricted ... to dilate. Oh, to dilate. Yes. Yes. You're right with that. It causes the pupil to dilate- Yes ... so she was unable to, to see as well- To see ... out of that eye. But- So it's just like so many things ... it's scary. And that's why- You have one dilated pupil ... on your crash cart there should be so many things, including an eye wash station. Yes. So it's like all the things you don't really think about, you know? An eye wash station. It's not very aesthetic, but it's needed. Yes. But we were all like, "Wow," because she, the patient's face was injected on that left side. Yeah. So of course the injector thought- It just- ... "Oh my God" It's the perfect storm. "I have an occlusion." Yep. " I can't see." But really it was the lidocaine with phenylephrine. Yep. So that was cool. Yeah. So love that. So assessment, that was, that was our major, major point too. Key take away is assessment. Yes. Like always assess. Yes. Ask questions. Don't go right for the Hylax. Yeah. Yeah. So true. Yep. I love it. Oh, another one. Laurie Robertson. Yes. Yes. She started out, she actually started talking about- She just started talking about, um, biosimilants, so she kinda went through Sculptra- Mm-hmm Hyaluronic Radiesse, PDGF, the whole gamut. Yeah. And just gave her two cents on all of that- She agreed ... which is amazing. Yep. First time I actually ever met her in person- Yeah ... was at this conference. So sweet. She's so sweet. Yeah. Yes. She's been in this industry forever. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Who are you most excited to see this conference? Um, I'm excited for Leslie's talk. Mm-hmm. Leslie Fletcher. Yeah. She's up after Brit, actually. We're gonna go to Brit's and then hers. Yes. Yep. And Julie Kaplan. I always love- Oh my God ... listening to Julie Kaplan. She just- She's the best ... has such a, a way about- Yeah ... just the way she speaks- Yeah ... and educates. Yeah. So I'm really excited for that one. I love it. Love it. Love it. Do you wanna come over? Come on over. Get in here. Get over here. Courtney. Courtney, hi. Hi, you. I'm John. Oh, I love it. It's so- We met her last night. Yes. Ah. Oh my God. Ah. Okay. So excited. So welcome to the Filming Pod. Okay. Yes. Um, so Modern Beauty Con, is this your first time here? It is my first time here. Yeah? Yeah. Why did you choose this conference? Um, local. Yeah. Massachusetts and, um, I s- I've seen Renata, like, do a lot of her posts about this story. Mm-hmm. Like, my sister-in-law and her used to work together, so I've been following her journey in aesthetics. Yeah. So. And what is your Instagram handle? Goodjeansaesthetics. Ooh. My last name's Jean. Okay. So I had to run with it. Oh, I love that. Little play on words. Amazing. So do you own your own med spa? Um, not, not currently. Okay. I work, um, in Danvers at Vitality Collective, but someday it's my dream to own my own. That's amazing. How many years have you been injecting? Two. Okay. I've been a nurse for 11, an oncology nurse for 11 years. Wow. And then- Amazing ... sort of followed my passion the last couple years. Wow. Yeah. That's great. That's amazing. Good for you. Um, what is your favorite thing to inject? Um, Botox. Yeah. Right now. Yeah. Yeah. I love it. Everyone's favorite. And I do love, uh, i- Sylfirm micro-needling. Yes. Yep. Yeah. Oh, I've heard really good things about Sylfirm. Yeah. Why, why do you like Sylfirm? Very low downtime. Mm-hmm. Um, and you get kinda instant results. The last time I had it, I'm like, I felt like my Botox, like, re-kicked in. Yes. Yep. That's amazing. Um, I have a question for you. Um, what is the most humbling thing about being an injector? Oh, God. Humbling thing. Um, you're really putting me on the spot. I, uh, all of it, I think All of it. I think people think it's so easy- Mm-hmm ... and it's like a cop-out of nursing, and it's actually the complete opposite. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. It's so true. There's so much to it. So much to learn. Absolutely. Oh my gosh. Especially owning a practice, the protocols, the- Yeah ... complication management, all of it. Yeah. It's so hard. You definitely have to, like, really know your stuff. Yes. Yeah, and they think it's so easy, and it's, like, money, and it's all the things. It's better than bedside. I'm like, it's actually scarier than bedside. Yeah. Yeah, 100%. It's so true. There's no one else to go to- Right. Yeah ... you know, if something happens. Now, question. I'm on the ad board for Moxie. Mm-hmm. I'm a part of their Scale Society. Are you a part of their Scale Society? No, not yet. Have you heard of it? Yes. So- It's amazing ... yes, I've heard of it. You can- I email them every month asking- Oh, do you? if they're in Massachusetts yet. Aw. That's good. The Scale Society's cool 'cause there's, like, webinars, free webinars and all that. There's a link in my bio. Okay. You can go to my bio, and you can join it for free. Great. It's super, super easy. I mean, it's great. You get notified if there's any, like, webinars or, like, in-person, like, shopping events sometimes they do. It's really, really fun. Awesome. Yeah. Thank you so much. You guys- We love it. Thank you for coming. Yeah. Thanks for coming by. So people can find you on Instagram. Yep, yep. Instagram. Good Genes Aesthetics. Good Genes Aesthetics. Yeah. Courtney- Yeah ... thank you so much. Yes. Oh my gosh. Thank you. Yeah, of course. You look great. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I love it. Bye. Bye. Oh. I love it. Our first red carpet interview. I know. This is so fun. How fun. This is good. Okay. Okay. Hi, guys. How are you? Come on over here. Okay. So what is your name? My name is Catherine. Okay. What's your name? Bubble. Bubble? So nice to meet you guys. And where are you from? New York, Long Island Long Island, New York as well. Yeah. Yep. Where do you guys work? I have my own practice. You do? Yeah. I- What's it called? Cavilux Aesthetics. Oh my God, amazing. Thank you. And what's your Instagram handle? @cavilux. @ cavilux. So my Instagram handle's The Bubbly Aesthetic. Great. Yep. Love it. And I'm independently practicing as well. Amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Do you have your practice name? The Bubbly Aesthetic. The Bubbly Aesthetic. Oh my God, I'll have to follow you. That's amazing, guys. Yeah. Yeah. How many years have you guys been injecting? So I've been injecting two years now. Very nice. About four years now. Four years. Good for you guys. Um, what got you guys into aesthetics? I love art. Mm-hmm. I'm an artistic person- Mm-hmm ... but I love medicine as well, so it, it's a really good combination- Right ... um, doing both. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I love it. That's amazing. For me, I went from oncology doing IV therapies and falling in love with it by accident. So now here I am learning as much as I can using science backed, uh, information to help grow my practice. You're the second person- Yeah ... to say they're from oncology. Yeah. Mm-hmm. That's so cool. Um, what do you think is trending right now in aesthetics? IV therapy and more natural results. Yeah. Absolutely. Peptides. Yes. Of course. Very true. Yes. Very true. What are your favorite peptides? Right now I'm into NAD. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. That's one of my favorites. Yeah. I'm still, like, doing a lot more research about it- Mm-hmm ... 'cause it's trending right now. Right. So I s- I'm still learning. Absolutely. In the process of learning 'cause there's so many o- there's, I think there's another booth next door, I think- Oh, okay ... yeah, that we wanna really check it out. Check out. Absolutely. Like, you know- Yeah ... really dig in and learn more about it. Yes. I feel like a lot of people are taking care of, like, their inner beauty- Absolutely ... more now, right? It starts from the inside. It starts from the inside. That was Jenna's, Jenna's- Yeah ... uh, presentation earlier. Yeah. It starts from the inside. I'm interested. I'm really excited to learn more about it. Yeah. Yeah. There, there have the NAD melt strips. Okay. So they just are sublingual. Yeah. So we're gonna try those out. Ooh, amazing. Also I'm researching Retta and K-low and GFKCU- Love ... because everybody loves it, but you have to follow certain protocol. Yeah. So learning that and make su- making sure my clients are doing it safely. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. That's huge. Um, are you guys willing to disclose, are you guys on any GLP-1s? I am not. Okay. No. No. I am. They don't need to. They're so... Look at them. And I know I don't need to, but it's for my high cholesterol. I'll be honest. Anything that I bring to my clients- Yeah ... I will test out myself- Try it first ... before giving it to anybody else. Yeah. Mm-hmm. That's so smart. Yeah. I love that. Um, okay. This or that. So- Sculptra or hyper dilute Radiesse? Um, Radiesse. Okay. Radiesse. Okay. Why? Volume. Okay. Volume. I, uh, like bringing back the natural volume that way. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Amazing. Volume, that's exactly why. That's awesome. But I like both. Yes. Yeah. Use both. Yeah. Um, favorite neurotoxin? Daxxify. Literally Daxxify. Yep. Love it. Love her. We said the new trending neurotoxin- Yes ... is Daxxify. So we have tried it. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yes. Yeah. Longer, you don't go back to the actual same results. Love it. And even if they don't come back and do tox again- Mm-hmm ... they're still never going back to the same 11s- Yeah ... that they had prior. What other neurotoxins do you guys carry in your practice? So I carry Xeomin for my brand new, my easy lip flips. Okay. My early 20s that don't really have a lot of movement- Yeah to start, 'cause they are not using heavy hitters right now. Sure. So. Okay. I've tried them all. Yeah. Yeah. All of them. Literally. Every single one. Yeah. I am not gonna lie. Like, I, I need to know- But that's good ... what's, you know, what's out there, what's new. Right? Yeah. Um, so, but my favorite right now is Daxxify. Daxxify. Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. Love it. I carry Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify at my office. Um, I like Sculptra, but I'm starting Hyperdurer Radiance soon. Great. Great. I wanna give it a whirl because of that volume. Like, you can see the more instant effect- The initial payoff. Yes. Yeah ... initially. Um, yeah. I love it. Amazing. Yeah. Yes. Good for you. Thank you, guys. Thanks. Thank you so much. Thank you. So really quick, where can people find you on Instagram again? @cavi_lux. Okay. And @thebubblyaesthetic. Okay. Amazing. Thank you, guys. Thanks, guys. Yes. I love it. Thank you. Thank you. Let's get a picture. You guys are adorable. Come on over. Get on over here. All right. Oh my gosh. So what do we have? Yes. Uh, my name's Molly. Yep. My name's Erica. And what are your guys' Instagram handles? EricaRNconfident. Okay. I'm the.skinpractitioner. Oh, I love it. Yeah. Very cool. Very nice. Do any of you guys own practices? Uh, we don't. Um, but actually we're part of, like, a pretty, like, pretty big brand- Okay Confident Med Spa in New Hampshire. So we have- Yes ... five locations in New Hampshire, one in Maine. Wow, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. So our owner's over there, Chelsea. Yeah. That's so awesome. But she's a fellow nurse. Is she? So you guys are both RNs? I'm an RN. NPs? She's an NP. Amazing. Nice. That's awesome. Yeah. How long have you guys been injecting? Two years. Two years. Oh my gosh. I mean- Yeah, so we started at the same time. Did you guys really? Yeah. Do you guys know each other before? No. No. Oh my gosh. I love it. We fell in love. Oh, you fell. I love it. Yeah. Just like us. And now we're- It's love at first sight. Yes. She's my work wife, pretty much. But she's in Jersey. Yes, yes. It's okay. Oh my gosh. So why Modern Beauty Con? Um, just to be with fellow like-minded people. Mm-hmm. Learning in person I think is really important. Um, and then something that we can discuss together later. Mm. Yeah. Yeah. We've been to, like, a few other smaller, like, learning kinda conferences before, but of course with just being so close to Boston, I'm like, "This is the one." Yes. It was funny 'cause I actually texted our owner. I'm like, "What do you think about going to Modern Beauty Con? Like, I kinda wanna go." And she's like, "Okay, bought the tickets," within 15 minutes. There it is. Aw, I love that. Like, oh my God. Amazing. It is nice when it's a little bit more, like, boutiquey and small- Yes because you can actually network, whereas like the bigger conferences, it is hard to kind of see everybody, so. What are your guys' biggest piece of advice for a newer injector going into aesthetics? Uh, oh my gosh. You can do it. You can do it. Yeah. And for me, I'm like, I just followed everyone in the area, and, like, just get to know what someone is special for. Mm. 'Cause, like, each practice is known for something. Absolutely, yeah. And just really getting to know, like, what's in the area. I mean, New Hampshire's pretty small. Um, but just, like, following everyone and just, like, really trying to find out as much as you can. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I think, um, starting off maybe in, like, med surg or somewhere where you can, like- Absolutely get the basics. And then having someone that you can text when you're like, "Hey, is this okay?" Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Um, and yeah, asking a million questions. Yes. Building that community- Mm-hmm ... establishing that foundation. I loved it. I started out in hospitalist medicine. I was a step-down ICU nurse for, like, four years, and then I did, um, hospitalist NP before. Then I went to aesthetics. Yeah. And I was... I did part-time for, like, two years just to kinda build my books. Mm-hmm. And then I got into it full-time. 'Cause I think a lot of people wanna just get into aesthetics and they wanna be busy. Yeah. It's impossible. Yeah. You know what I mean? You're, it's a slow process, but then after two to three years, the hope is that you're busy, busy, steady, you know? Mm. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Slow build, yep. Slow build. Yep. And trust the process. You know, Rome wasn't built in a day. Exactly. That's what we tell our patients all the time. Exactly. Yep. Yeah. Yep. I love it. Well, thanks for coming on, guys. Yes. Thank you, guys. Yeah. I love it. Can we get a picture? Yes. Yes, let's do a... Welcome back to another episode of the Filming in Pod. I'm Injector John. We're at Modern Beauty Con. This is day two. I'm with Aesthetic Nurse Nicole. Yes. And we're here with Alex. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. All the way from Ohio, right? Ohio. Yes. Ohio. O, O. O-hio. How long have you been injecting? Um, like, about six years. Six years. Yeah. Long time. Yeah. Do you own your own practice? No, I don't. Okay. Are you an RN, NP? I'm a PA. You are? Yeah. Amazing. Yeah. What's your background before injecting? Um, surgical, so plastics- Mm ... and, like, sports medicine. Mm. And then now I'm in a plastics practice. Yeah. I was med spa previously. Yeah. But I just moved into plastics. So I'm like the sole injector in the office. Nice. That's amazing. I know. Yeah. What do you love about Modern Beauty Con? Um, I think just, like, the education. Mm-hmm. The lectures are amazing. Vendors are really cool, and just connecting and networking with everybody. Yeah. Who's your favorite speakers? Um, Eric Berry. And Leslie Fletcher. That was great, right? And Waseem. I love them all. Everybody. They're so good. I know. So well-spoken. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Sometimes I'm watching them, and I'm like, "How are you speaking that fluently- It was good ... elegantly?" It was so much, and it was just, like, the amount of information that we got out of, like, that session, I'm like- Mm I want more. Mm-hmm, yeah. So I'll definitely be back next year, for sure. Love it. What do you like to specialize in your practice? Um, I love Sculptra. Love Sculptra. Um, BioStims and filler. Mm-hmm. Just, yeah. Any other BioStims you're using? Uh, hyper dilute. Love. Yeah. Are you loving it? I am, yeah. I'm more Sculptra heavy, but, um- I am, too it's a learning curve. Mm-hmm. But yeah. That's great. Yeah. Where are you using Sculptra? Obviously face, neck, décolleté, or have you done any other areas? No, that's pretty much it. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Amazing. I love it. One of our icks. Oh, hmm. Okay. It's... We've been, we've been asking everyone this one. Yes. So what is a ick in the industry for you? Oh, like over-filled, overdone. Oh, yeah. The patient that, like, wants everything but then, like- Mm-hmm ... doesn't want everything. Right. Mm-hmm. Like... But just the overdone. That's an ick. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yep. It's gotta go. Yeah. We're leaving it behind. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Like the lips that are, like, you see them before you see, like, the patient. Yeah, they walk in before you. They walk through the door before you. Yeah. So bad. Yeah. Now, where can everybody find you on Instagram? Um, Alex... She's like, "That's a great question." Hmm. The Botox went to our brain. Oh, Alex.P_Aesthetics. Okay. Yeah. Great. Perfect. Do you have a TikTok or Patreon or anything? No, not yet. Okay, that's fine. But yeah. Okay. Follow her. Yes. Love it. Day two. We'll, we'll see you next year- Okay ... at Modern Beauty Con. Perfect. Love it. Will we see you next year? Yeah. Awesome. Amazing. Okay, welcome back to another episode of the Fill Me In pod. A little red carpet interview with- ... Looks by Lizzie over here. Yes. I love it. How are you? I'm good. How are you doing? Good. Are you loving Modern Beauty Con? I love Modern Beauty Con. Yeah. It's my first time. Oh, my God, really? Yeah. That's amazing. Yeah. And who do you work with? Like, where, where's the practice you work at? I work with Waseem Grabia and Mary Carter. We're in, we're at Dantaj in Fairfax, Virginia. Okay. Right outside of DC. Amazing. Yeah. How many years have you been injecting? Just under two years. I'm a baby. You're a baby, but you're doing so amazing. Very baby. What's your favorite thing to do in the office? Oh my gosh. I mean, with my patients, I love, like, full facial balancing. And I always say, like, the smallest tweaks make the biggest difference. Mm-hmm. Um, just to keep natural-looking results, do things slowly over time, and- Yeah ... yeah. Yeah. I just love that your favorite things are fa- full facial balancing. You've been injecting for two years. Yeah. I feel like you had... I mean, you have a great mentor, obviously, with Seem. And, like, d- was there, like, a shadowing? Was there, like, a whole training thing with him? Like, 'cause I feel like you literally just went right into it. To the- And you're- Yeah ... doing so good. Thank you. Yeah. Yes. And when we started, what, eight years ago, it was like you just treated the lips. You just treated the laugh line- Yes ... like, one area. Now, it's so important to just, you know, everyone knows- Oh my gosh to harmonize and treat the whole face. Absolutely. Mm-hmm. It's a totally different time. Yeah. Well, I actually started as a patient with him, and then- Oh ... I ended up looking for a job. That's how it always starts. Yeah. Got the job at Dantaj as a temporary intern for three months- Mm ... while somebody was on maternity leave, and they were like, "You know, this doesn't mean that you'll work here full time." Right. I was like, "Whatever. I'll take it. Like, I just wanna learn something before I-" Absolutely. You know, I wanted to switch my career from the ER into aesthetics. Yeah. And, um, yeah, I was like, we just all got along so well. Yeah. It was so fun, and learned so much from him. Yeah. So I ended up staying as his MA for about six months, um, before I got promoted as an injector. And so, yeah. That's amazing. Was he depressed when you weren't his MA anymore? Yeah. For sure. For sure. Yeah, that's hard. Yep. But- Natural transition is hard ... like, a win-win, but it's, like, bittersweet. Yeah. Well, now we have Angela, and she's- Aw ... his MA. She, like, keeps him in check. So someone's got to. We love you, Ang. Ah, absolutely. Um- What's, uh, your favorite presentation so far at Modern Beauty Con? Oh my gosh. I loved Leslie Fletcher's yesterday. Mm-hmm. That was great. I thought it was so informative. I loved all of her little pearls and, um, when she was talking about the different things that neurotoxin does- Mm-hmm especially, um, with some immediate results that we haven't really found that there's, like, science behind it yet. But, like, with the parotid gland and the salivary gland- Mm-hmm ... how I loved how those immediate results were showing. I know. I loved- That's amazing ... she was like, "You know, we all think we know Botox." Yes. And we think it's like, for some reason, we don't really train on it, and- Yeah ... we, we do so much with fillers. And it's true. You're like, "Wow, there's so much you can learn about Botox still." Yeah. So I just, I loved that one, too. Yeah. What's your favorite thing about Modern Beauty Con so far? I think just meeting everybody and connecting and, um, like, I feel like we have- I know. I know. We've known in person. We've been, like- We're tagging each other in- ... Instagram friends ... in, on all of our posts and stuff. Which is so nice to finally meet, see a face. Yeah. Yeah. So I love that part, and just figuring out what you guys like to do- Yeah ... what techniques you're using, and, and then just meeting everyone. Yeah. Yep. I love that. Building a community, right? Absolutely. That's amazing. I know. Okay, so last question. So what's your biggest ick about the aesthetic industry? My biggest ick? Throwing me off, catching me off guard. Could be anything. Um- You see it, and you're like, "Hmm." I think, like, different- lighting in before and afters- Yes and stuff like that. I think it's really important to not, um, you know, just to be honest about- Mm-hmm ... results, and that way your patients have, like, realistic expectations. Absolutely. Good angles, good lighting. Yeah. Yeah. I get it. Don't airbrush. Yeah. Yeah. Like, I get it, we're not photographers. No. But it really doesn't have to be perfect by any means. But, like, just consistent lighting and, in- Mm-hmm ... the same place setting is important. Yeah, we always say- Yeah ... the before picture, they're like this- Yeah ... with crazy lighting, and then they lay 'em back with the- Yeah ... with the bright light. Yeah. And the after. And of course you can see, like- Yeah. ... you know, the great projection. Yeah. Yeah. That's amazing. So where can people find you on Instagram? I am your.injector, your.injector. Oh, and you changed this, right? I did. So it looks like Lindsay, I'm sorry. Yeah, it's okay. So I'm your.injector on Instagram. Love it. She's your injector. Yeah. Oh, I love that. I know. Did you see the rebranding? I did. I love it. Yeah. It's really good. Like, really good. Um, thank you so much. Thanks for coming out. Yeah. We love it. Yes, of course. We're gonna go to, uh, Waseem's PDGF talk right now. I know. Right? Yep. Gotta go. We got, like, two minutes. We're going. All right, guys, so we have more episodes coming from Modern Beauty Con. Yes, next time we sit down with Erika Berry, the queen, to talk about all things injectables, business ownership, her trainings, and then also we caught her off the stage after her lecture, right, Nicole? Yes, so all information about what she talked about on stage, social media, everything. Yes, and how important social media is outside of the practice. It's absolutely amazing. All I want. A- a- all I want. Me and you. Gonna be baby. Me and you.
