Side One/Side B with Dave and Steve
A punk and a metalhead started a podcast because they want to show each other records and they both have ADHD and need to make the other listen to and now they're going to make you listen to them. Side One/Side B with Dave & Steve is a podcast put together with two bandmates with ADHD who have a similar Venn diagram of music tastes, but Dave comes at it from the punk perspective and Steve from the heavy metal perspective. It’s kind of like crossfire, except we don’t hate each other, or make Jon Stewart sad.

"It's too late to fall in love with Sharon Tate." Dave brings in the debut album from THE JIM CARROLL BAND, an early punk rock group led by poet JIM CARROLL. This is Catholic Boy (1980)
Catholic Boy (1980) is the debut album by The Jim Carroll Band, led by Jim Carroll, who is notable for publishing the 1978 memoir The Basketball Diaries, and poetry collections including Living at the Movies. They were able to secure a recording contract with Atlantic Records with the support of the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards. The album included arguably the group's most famous song, "People Who Died", which is a catalogue of young people Carroll knew growing up who met tragic ends. The album cover shows Carroll standing with his parents, photographed by Annie Leibovitz, outside their apartment block on the corner of Cumming Street and Seaman Avenue in Manhattan, New York City.
