This episode is about what it actually takes to build a thriving coaching or creative business without the burnout, the funnels, or the overwhelm.

Dr. Terri Levine has built and sold seven multimillion-dollar businesses across completely different industries. She's a psychologist, bestselling author of over 40 books, and the creator of the term Heartrepreneur, which she literally trademarked decades ago. She's also the founder of a framework that helps coaches and consultants consistently bring in $1,000 a day without spending all day on social media, building funnels, or sitting in Zoom calls.

In this conversation, we get into why the ego will always try to pull you back into what's safe and familiar, even when you know better. How she went from speech pathologist to art company CEO to running a national healthcare company she hated, and what it took to finally walk away. Why most marketing hasn't actually changed since the 1980s and what's really working now without the noise. What a Heartrepreneur actually is and why integrity and authenticity aren't just buzzwords when you're building something real. Her simple one community, one offer framework that brought in $179,000 in a couple of months using just a Google Doc. AND why you always have permission to pivot, no matter how long you've been doing something or how known you are for it.

If you've been wondering when success is going to feel easier, or if you're allowed to change direction even after all the work you've put in, this conversation is going to give you exactly what you need to hear.

As a creative, heart-led entrepreneur, you started your business because you wanted freedom, but somewhere along the way, it felt like another job that you can't quit, even just in moments, but it really doesn't have to. And this episode is going to change the way you think and feel about your business, your passions, or even your hobbies. My guest today is my dear friend, Dr. Terry Levine, who makes all of this so easy. She is a business consultant, a psychologist, a best-selling author of over 40 books, and one of the world's leading experts on building a coaching business that actually works. She even trademarked the term heartpreneur a really long time ago. So if you've been using that term, she came up with it. We're also going to learn about her $1,000 a day framework. So if you've been wondering or worrying when is success going to feel easy, or do I even have permission to pivot? This one's for you. Let's get into it. Hello, my friend. It's so good to see you. Oh, it's so good to be here. Thank you. You're welcome. It was an absolute pleasure to be a guest on your show. And of course, we'll link that in the show notes below. And I have just like become obsessed with you and the work that you do and the events that you do. And I would love to just kick it off with giving our audience a clue on how you came to be someone who can create, not just create, but teach others to create a thriving coaching business with no stress or struggle or overwhelm. Whether or not anyone is a coach, I know what you're about to say they can apply to their artistry, their creativity, or their entrepreneurial journey. How'd you get here, babe?

SPEAKER_02

So it's kind of a long story, and I'll make it as quick as I can. I came out of college with a master's degree as a speech language pathologist. And I knew nothing, and I mean zero, about business sales, or marketing. I knew a whole lot about how to diagnose speech and language disorders. So we moved, my husband and I moved to the Midwest when I graduated. Very clicky community that was not welcoming of me at all. I was from the East Coast, they weren't crazy about that. And I needed doctors to refer. And so I couldn't get doctors to refer. And I finally figured out a way to get one doctor to refer. And then when he started to refer, I realized that I needed to be a marketer. And so I turned into a marketer and I grew this clinic. This is going back into the early 80s, to a million-dollar business in this small little town. And people were coming to me going, How did you do that? And I thought it's repeatable. So someone purchased that business and then I started another business, totally different, an art company, took that to 12 million, sold that, and then just kept repeating it and doing it. And then I made a huge mistake. And I spent five miserable, painful years there. I do not belong in in companies. I belong as an entrepreneur. And so about 31 years ago, I said goodbye. I walked out, and I had already been through coach training. I was already getting my PhD, already studying positive psychology and clinical psychology, and said, this is what I'm supposed to do. And within 30 days, I had 30 clients. So the universe went, Yeah, you're right. Here you are. And then within a month, people kept coming to me saying, I don't want life coaching. I don't want this. I want you to teach me how you build these businesses. And then I've been doing that ever since and loving it. So that's my journey.

SPEAKER_01

Goodness. I mean, some of those things we definitely have in common. And what a blessing that what we get involved in tends to work, what we touch turns to gold. And I think one thing that you and I absolutely resonate with together, and we've talked about is you know, if you build it, they will come as long as your heart is in it. And my one of my clients had said, I'm here, universe, bring me who needs me. And that part, being able to trust yourself enough that you are here with a gift for a reason, put it out there and receive who's meant to be. And I what you said about the ego, that's constant work, right? Like knowing ego's here, ego's here. Can we go back to that? Because it's always tempting. I'm I'm constantly hit up by people on LinkedIn, and I've even been entertaining an offer lately for this mental health company that wants someone to produce a podcast. And I'm like, maybe, right? Like they look and sound amazing. So, what was it that pulled your ego to say you should have a job, even though technically you don't need to work?

SPEAKER_02

I've reflected on this. Um, so at the time, my mom had already passed. My dad had moved in with us and lived with us for, I don't know, 17 or 18 years after she passed. And my dad never thought me being an entrepreneur was a good thing. I could sell multimillion dollar businesses, bring in all this money. It just wasn't something he could wrap his head around because he was a corporate guy, right? So that's what he thought. And I thought, I'll make my dad really proud. This company keeps coming to me. I'm not going to start another business. I'm going to sell this company. And I'm going to be this big CEO of a national health care company. It was all ego. And I have to be very transparent. The first day sitting in the room with the board, I went, I don't belong here. Like I already knew. Yet I stuck it out for five years and it was painful. It was miserable. I every day I got up with what I call the dreads. I hated going there. They loved me. They were like, You're making a huge difference. Look at the money we're making. I'm like, I'm not making an impact, and I'm not supposed to be here. Took five years for me to have the courage to say, I'm leaving. And I still wanted my daddy to be proud of me, the little girl. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

That's fair and so relatable. And I bet your father was very proud of the fact that you have built and sold multi-million dollar companies.

SPEAKER_02

So it's so interesting because years and years later, I've been in this industry for a while. We went out to lunch, just the two of us, and he basically told me how proud he was of all the companies I built, of what I knew about business sales, and marketing and how I did it differently than he saw other people do it. And that he wished that he had had the courage to live his passion. It was huge. I get emotional just talking.

SPEAKER_01

What a gift. Yeah. Very special. It really is. And then it also gives you so much permission to just let go anytime that story shows up of oh, I'm supposed to have a job.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And you know, the first 30 days, I had so much crazy self-talk. First of all, I had more than many, many years' worth of income put aside because I'd sold all these companies. So if it never worked again, it would have been fine financially. In my own head, the day that I quit, I remember driving home. I was singing free as a bird and just happy as could be. And then all of a sudden I went, maybe I have to get a job working at McDonald's. And then I thought, really? I have a master's degree and a PhD and all the certifications. I'm in my head going work at McDonald's. So I still to this day I notice when stories show up. I notice when I people come to me through IG and they're like, Will you do a campaign for us for this? And I look at the thing and I'm like, no, Terry, that's money and ego. It's not a product you use or believe in. Let's not pretend we do. So it's a no. And it's been uh, you know, it's been being human and noticing when my brain goes there and getting myself back to where I need to be.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I bet that's a repeatable process. So can let's let's go there for a second so that people who are listening, when they have those, as Gay Hendricks calls them, upper limits. Like with the upper limit shows up to sabotage our joy. It's the ego going, ah, I don't know if we're safe here because the ego can't exist without a body, but the spirit and soul are eternal. The spirit and soul wants us to have joy. So when we're when we have these intruders, these upper limits that come in and say, I you now you need to go work at McDonald's. You were in the middle of singing free as a bird, and now there's a sabotage, right? So, how do we how do we recognize in the moment that we're having an upper limit and then remember to stay on our path?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, such a powerful question. So I use a process and I share it with my clients, and I call it now NOW. Notice when that's happening, just notice it. Go, go, like, isn't that interesting? Then step out of it a little bit more as an observer, looking on it and looking at it and saying, hmm, is that how I'm choosing to be? And then the witness part is the part that's huge for me. Then I step out and I do self-coaching and I witness it and go, okay, what self-coaching question or questions do I need to ask to get myself back to where I want to be and where I'm letting these limits go because they're false limits. That works for me, the NOW process.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you for sharing that. That's amazing. Wow. And so here you are. When did the uh PhD show up? Was that when you were studying positive psychology?

SPEAKER_02

So when I started in coaching and consulting, I'm just like an overachiever. That's been my whole life. So I didn't get one certification in coaching. I got nine. And then I got three business consulting licenses, right? So I have all this stuff. And then I had a real interest in positive psychology. And so I went and took uh several courses and got a certificate in that. And one of my professors said, Terry, you would absolutely love clinical psychology. I'm like, I'm not changing careers. I'm a business consultant. He said, that is going to add even more dimension to the consulting you do. I took him up on it, and I have to say, it's probably one of the greatest experiences. I was totally made for that. I've always been fascinated on how people think and how groups think. And it has helped me tremendously be a much better coach and consultant, both in terms of life, business, entrepreneurship. So that's how that showed up. It was not easy for me because I'm not a really good student. However, I just fell in love with it. So I'm glad I did it.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, that's really cool. Because it's something that many of us consider over and over, you know. And I think when we're younger, it's more about ego. And then as we get older, it's like, oh, I actually want to learn this and get this and get obsessed with this. And will I have a, you know, doctor in front of my title? Maybe. So I don't know that all.

SPEAKER_02

Statistics and probabilities. I get that I needed all of that, yet it just wasn't the right fit. And that's okay. I do something I love now.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you have an entrepreneurial spirit, and college is kind of like having a full-time job and someone's telling you where to be, what to do, you know. And I I have dropped out of college three times. Yeah. So I I understand.

SPEAKER_02

I understand. It when I remember telling my parents, like my sister was just naturally mensa smart, she truly is. I said, this whole college thing is really hard. My father said, Oh, you only have whatever it was, two more years, three more. I'm like, oh my God, it's just sound like a death sentence. Graduate school was more enjoyable because it was a lot of patient care. So those two years, they flew by. The four years prior to that for me were just painful. And of course, you know, there's a lot of courses that I had no interest in that were requirements. And it's like, just like in a J O B, it's like, and why am I doing this? So when I was president of a national health care company, meetings are a big thing in healthcare companies. And I remember asking one day out loud and said, Why do we have so many meetings? And everyone looked at me. I'm like, okay, guess I shouldn't ask that question. There's more evidence I don't fit in.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my God. I saw a video of someone in a meeting recently saying this could have been an email. And I was like, Yes. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I think if I go back and I really look at my years in corporate, most of my time was sitting in meetings. And most of those meetings did not have an outcome. And I just wanted to take that away so we could do more for the patients and patient care and for the staff that treats the patients because they have the hard work. They didn't care about the people, they didn't care about the any of that. They cared about numbers, they didn't care about patients, they certainly didn't care about the staff. And that's when I had to make the split. I'm like, my integrity is not letting me stay here anymore.

SPEAKER_01

No, yeah. Well, good call. I mean, it was. Thank you. I've been happy ever since. Imagine all the meetings I sat in at NBC and Sony and all these places I worked. And it's like so many times you're just watching people fight to sound important. Okay. And it just never clicked for me. Yeah. And yeah, and depending on where you work, if you share an idea, they own that idea. If you voice it. Oh yeah. Yeah, I have that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I came up with, I had to create all these programs. And I probably came up with 10 or 15 programs. And uh, I have a friend that still works for the company, and she's like, they still use all your programs and all your materials. And I'm like, well, they paid me while I was working there, so they claim ownership of it. Yeah, it's just the way it is. And I look back, I have to tell you, I look back and don't go, oh my god, it was a horrible experience. I go, look at all the lessons I learned. I really did learn how not to be in a corporate environment, a different way of being. And so now I can even help my clients with that. So it was a great gift.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that sounds like it. And no regret, you know, even those five years, it's five years of our entire life. We only have so many years, 80 something on average. Although I believe that we can all live to 100 if uh great feel on purpose and are well enough. So I I am curious. I want to talk about being a entrepreneur, but before that, getting obsessed with marketing in the 80s and having a million-dollar business and then a $12 million sold business, marketing has changed, marketing is always changing. So how do you navigate that ever-changing landscape? Because I have clients that are like, Alicia, if I need to like build another funnel and send an email, I'm like, I just don't care anymore. And then I'm hearing friends of mine on the corporate side at really, really big companies saying, email's going away. I'm like, what do you mean, email's going away? And they're like, it's all like instant message, Slack, WhatsApp. I'm like, okay, right. So it's like, how do we even navigate this?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, such a good question. So I'm gonna say something that might feel a little bit controversial. So just buckle up, everyone. You're in the right place. I don't think marketing has changed other than we have an added component, which is basically social media. Um, even if I take email out of it, it's no different than sending a postcard or a letter. So that's not different, just made it less expensive and faster. And now I don't use email. I can't stand email. My company barely uses email. What we changed is not the strategy. It's the same strategy that I created all seven multimillion dollar businesses with. The only difference is that we do it through the internet and a Google Doc. When before I did it either in person because we couldn't do it another way, or through snail mail. So I always tell people, you know, I'm doing marketing pretty much the same way I did it to build all of these companies in all different niches, just that I'm allowing myself to use social media and Google to make it faster.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, everybody is so curious right now. Can you give us any clues about that before we talk about a 1K-a-day framework you're gonna give us?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so my clues basically are this, and then we'll tell you what to do. Let me tell you what not to do first. Um, so much email doesn't get through. So I don't care much for email. I I had somebody that contacted me. He grew up with me. We haven't seen each other since we're like 17. And he contacted me, found me on Facebook, is like, are you the Terry Levine whose parents were Helen and Walter? I'm like, Richard, yes, of course it is. And he said, Can I send you an email? And we were best buds growing up. And my parents and his parents were like brother and sister. So I give him my email address, and I realized today I didn't hear from him. So we go over to Messenger. I'm like, um, you're gonna send me an email? He's like, I sent it yesterday, right as soon as we talked. I go to spam, I go everywhere. It doesn't exist. Like, how typical. This is why I don't like email. Things don't get through. So today I finally communicated with him. So here's what we don't use. We barely use email because it doesn't get through, people don't read it. It's it's it's just not, we're not in the same realm that we're in 10, 15 years ago. The second thing is websites, unless you spend a lot of money on SEO, who how are you driving people there? Business cards, I haven't had one for years. When I used to give out business cards, people pitched me, right? So I'm like, if you said, oh, Terry, nice to meet you. Could you have a business card? No, I don't, but I'd be happy to take your phone and give you my information and we could communicate. That's what I say. And yes, I do have a website. There's just no reason to send people there. I don't do lead magnets, I don't do landing pages, I can't stand funnels. Um, I don't believe that you have to do launches, boot camps, masterclasses. So my system that we'll get to alleviates all the stuff that you don't like, ads, all this other, and literally lets you have a life first business. So, for example, after you and I are done, I've done what I've meant to do for the day, where this little bracelet says create on serve. And then when I'm done for the day, I turn it over and it has a check mark. That's it. I'm done. I don't need to sit behind my computer and play on social media. So yeah, we'll get into that.

SPEAKER_01

Real quick, and this is for the entrepreneurs who are listening. If you've built something real, but you're second-guessing every decision, you're pushing harder than feels good, and you're wondering why success still seems out of reach, the missing piece is probably not another strategy. It's you trusting yourself again. I work with entrepreneurs one-on-one through intuitive life and business coaching. Using my signature framework, the brilliance method, we clear that stuck energy, rebuild your clarity, and get you making decisions from alignment instead of anxiety and overwhelm. Your business moves faster when these pieces are in place. So go to elesiasky.com, head to the contact page, and inquire about coaching. Let's figure out what's in the way and get you back to the version of yourself that already knows exactly what to do. Now back to the show. I love it. Well, someone might be listening and going, is this for me? So you use the term heartpreneur. So what is a heartpreneur in your Thanks for asking?

SPEAKER_02

Well, first I'll give you a little perspective and story because my business was not called this originally. I was doing the same thing, it just wasn't called this. And uh one of my publishers had me come to New York. He wanted to see the first draft of the manuscript. And I was in Philadelphia, took the train, got to New York, and he took the manuscript and he had published a bunch of my books. I knew him for about 11 years. He took my manuscript and he threw it on the floor and said, I don't want this book. I'll never forget it. And I was like, right. And I just didn't even know what to say. I said, Well, we have a contract. He goes, Yeah, yeah, I know. I want a book on how you do business. I want a book on heart entrepreneur. And I go, What? And he goes, That's what I refer to you as heart entrepreneur. I'm like, what does that mean? He goes, figure it out. So now I'm on the train going back from New York to Philadelphia. And first, again, being transparent, I'm devastated. Of course. My hardworking manuscript on the floor and blah blah. And I have this like download aha moment that I teach people how to do business in a non-transactional way, in a transformational way, with authenticity, with integrity, and communicating heart to heart. I'm like, oh, so I came home, I called my branding attorney, said, I want to trademark this. Um, a friend of mine said, I'll get the logo going. And literally, this my business, everything changed based on heart entrepreneur. So heart entrepreneur is being transparent, being in integrity, making sure you're always showing up authentically and communicating and doing business heart to heart, not transactionally. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_01

That's beautiful. And I've heard that term many times. So to know that you did the trademark on it is like I'm with a celebrity right now.

SPEAKER_02

That's all. It was so funny. When I came home, I just had this like an intuitive hit that I have to claim this, like I have to own it. And now it's a non-contested trademark internationally. Um, and I just, I don't know, I just feel like it not only represents me, we've got about 10,000 people in the community. So I know that it's a movement. It's way beyond Terry and Terry's ideas.

SPEAKER_01

How beautiful. And that's what we all want. We talk a lot on the show about leaving a legacy, you know, and I joke about the Oregon Trail game back in the 80s, like when you when you die and you have to write your epitaph. Half. And I remember when I was a kid thinking that was like so much pressure. But then you would use it to be funny. But it it's it's really true. Like, what do people remember you by? And part of it is the community that you create and how you made them feel, always. Always.

SPEAKER_02

And there's nothing that makes me happier than having someone feel like I've truly heard them. Whether they're buying something from me or not, I feel like people are craving to be heard. And the whole world is so busy. And, you know, people are pitching everything. People aren't really listening. So I show up every day and I say, here I am, my ears are open. Let me help.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you're so generous. You know, we to everyone to be full transparent. Terry and I got on a call last week and she's like, you need to raise your prices. And I was like, that's so she didn't yell at me, but that's my head loud and clear. That was the message. I tell people that all the time. And I was like, oh my gosh, I haven't raised my prices in like two years. Like I have a quarterly alarm that goes off that I've been ignoring while I've pivoted and shifted. And then I did my own meditation process when I imagine what's a price that feels crazy and out of the box that I would never want to charge. And then I back it up from there. Am I okay with this? Am I okay with this? Am I okay with this? And I got to a number that I feel really strong about. So that's going out soon. So thank you so much. You are such a gift, truly. So you have a simple framework that helps clients accomplish making $1,000 a day. And what a gift. Like, I mean, we can all imagine what it's like to make $30,000 a month. And there, there I I have had months like that, and I've had more months not like that. And, you know, when I think to all the work that I put into having months like that, it was so much. Like it's it's a little hard to sustain energetically. So I'm really curious about your framework.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So I never share anything with clients until I've tested it and proven it on myself. And I kept seeing these funnels, landing pages, lead, all this stuff that was it, it made me want to just shut the doors and say, just forget it. And so I said, no, I'm just gonna find a simpler way. So I built one community on Facebook. And by the way, that's where I hang out. It's the only place I hang out. I'm not sitting on social media all day. I use blockers, so I don't even see the feed on social media. So I decided to build a community with a lot of heart and with the right people. So one step is one community. The second thing I realized I was making too many offers. It was like you could come in here and you could move here and all this ascension. And I said, no, because that's what I don't like in a funnel. It's like get this $9 thing. No, what you really need is this $49. No, you need. So I said, no, we're gonna boil it down. They need one program. It's the program that I've put over 8,000 coaches and consultants through. We have thousands of testimonials. So it's one community and it's one program. Then I had to play with this. How do I get the one offer in front of them? Just the one offer. So how do I do that? So first I tried on Messenger. If someone would text or say scale, which is like our magic buzzword on Messenger, I started dropping in and we're chatting back and forth. I'm like, okay, that defeats everything that I've always wanted to do. So then I said, Oh, I'll just drop in a Word doc. Nine times out of 10, they couldn't open the document. It was like, oh my gosh. So I said, Well, that's not working. Then one day I said, I'll drop in a link to a Google Doc. I have no idea. And we had nine sales come in by the next morning, and each was for a thousand bucks. It's nine thousand bucks in one day. I'm like, huh. So I tried it again. And I tried it for a couple of months and brought in almost $179,000 with the one document. And then I went to my clients, I went to about 60 of them and said, if you're willing to implement this in your business, let me help you. It's a test. Let's see how it works. And on average, those who followed were bringing in $1,000 a day consistently, not getting on the phone, not getting on Zooms, not spending time on social media. And now I'm in the final stage where I am building a way to even automate that whole Google Doc where you don't have to sit in Messenger. Not through one of these like crazy chat bots either. So I'm in the process of building that.

SPEAKER_01

That's so cool. Well, I there will be links below for everyone to take a peek, get involved, and join your community. I love being in your Facebook community.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I love having you. So like-minded, really. You're like a sister.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's true. We are totally sisters. And by the time this comes out, I'll have gone live with you in your community, which is also like so loving that you do with uh with friends and clients and people that are ready for that kind of exposure and work. With everything here, I am also curious about your podcast because when I filled out the form to be on your podcast, I was invited to book a call with you. I was invited to, you know, to do all these things. So, how does that could you share a little bit about that and how does that fit into your framework?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'll be happy to. So let me just give you some history. When podcasting first came out, and I mean like early days, I started one of the first podcasts, and it was called Sounds of Coaching. And that was to profile the students in my coach training school because I felt like they needed exposure. So we ran that for a number of years, and then uh so generous of you, by the way. Oh, it was so fun. I got to know the student, like it was so fun, and then a terrestrial radio station came to me, syndicated, and said, Well, stop the podcast, come do radio. So I did radio for a number of years, and then I realized I didn't like it because I wasn't in as much control. You can already tell I like to control things, my entrepreneurial side. It's from the East Coast, there's a lot going on here. So I did it for a while, and then I said no. And then I went back, and for quite a few years, I did Heartrepreneur Radio, which was a podcast. And then eventually a client even took that over and was doing it, and I wasn't doing podcasting. And then a couple of years ago, I realized that I miss getting to know more people, and that because I have networks, I could give back and help people be seen. I'm like, oh, I'm supposed to be doing this. So I started Live Well Earn Well, and it's funny that you brought this up because one of my coaches said, Oh, that's such a distraction. And I said, Not the way I'm doing it. There's a long application, you know, um, because I'm only choosing people that I'm like, oh, my world would love these people. I want to profile them, I want to have a conversation with them because I want to get to know them. I have hired people from my podcast, I have referred them, I have brought them into my world. Um, you know, some of them come into my world, hired me. I won't stop podcasting anytime soon because I get, I wouldn't have met you. No, I get to meet people. And especially when we're like in our, you know, little homes and we're working from our homes, I want to be with people, and that's my way of doing it. So there you go. It does fit in. And I just want the listeners to know you do not have to have a podcast, nor do you have to appear on podcasts. I love meeting people, I love listening, and you can tell I love talking. So it just fits into my life. If it doesn't fit into your life, don't do it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Thank you. That's fair. And I one thing I always tell everyone is there's all the ways work. They all work. So what do you love doing? Some people love building funnels, they're like addicted to it, right? And they love email marketing. I'm like, if you love it, do that. And people ask me, Well, should I hang out on Instagram or Facebook or TikTok or or Substack? I'm like, where do you want to hang out? That's right. That's that's where your people are, right? So you're saying if you don't, if you're not a podcast person, and it's interesting when I started my podcast, I didn't listen to that many podcasts. So I felt like I was a fraud coming into this, you know, world of podcasting as people were like, Oh, what are your favorite podcasts? I'm like, uh, I don't know. So then I started listening to some podcasts and watching some podcasts, and then in wanting to be on other people's podcasts, I watched at least one episode of their podcast. Now I'm fans of like 50 podcasts that I've been on, and and you know, there's some big ones that I love. I love what Miambialic is doing right now. Always love Diary of a CEO, and it's like so fun and so cool, and I so resonate with Steven's story too. And it's like just do what you feel motivated and inspired to do, and the universe will conspire in your favor.

SPEAKER_02

It will. And if you're doing something that you don't like, like set, I don't like sending out emails. I don't like even receiving emails, just I don't. If I if I'm gonna write an email, you're gonna feel it because I'm not enjoying the process. Whereas if I'm on a podcast or I'm interviewing someone on a podcast, I'm in my zone. That is my zone of joy and brilliance. And so you just show up if there's no work to it. And that's the same way I say choose your social media platform. Or if you're gonna have a community, clients ask me all the time, should I use school? Should I use Facebook? Should I use LinkedIn, circles, mining now? All I don't know. Where do you like to be? That's where you hang out.

SPEAKER_01

Good. We're so in alignment there. Yes, we are. Well, I want to pull a card for you.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I'm so excited. I love this.

SPEAKER_01

Everybody loves this part. And for everyone listening and watching, this card is for you too. So, Dr. Terry is receiving this today, but we're of course setting an intention for everyone who finds this episode in Divine Timing to receive this message that this is the message that you are meant to hear. So, my love, I want you to set an intention. We did one before we hit record, but you don't have to say it out loud, Dr. Terry. Just let me know when you've got it. Got it. Okay, so I'm just shuffling, shuffling, shuffling, sending your energy into my cards. And today we're playing with my good old Saints and Angels deck. Now I'm just gonna go till I feel it and I feel it. Emotions, Saint Demphna, emotions. So look at her leading with this lamp, and she's got this mountains behind her. So she's chosen to follow. She's a she's a trailblazer, she's chosen to follow the path in front of her as she continues to illuminate it step by step. We can use our emotions as our guide, and that's what this is for you, Terry. This is no matter what, trust your intuition, double down, triple down on your intuition, right? The the path will appear, the path will continue to appear. Leap and the net will appear. And the the mountains, there's snow on these mountains. She's leaving behind something that right was like cold, and that was a lot of work to get get down on that hill, but she's protected. That's why she's also shrouded, right? Okay, so this is just a reminder for you to like all the intuitive work. And I have a feeling, and I want everyone on this show who's listening to the show to double down on their intuitive work, but I have a feeling this next phase or this next chapter of your life, the word mysticism is coming through.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that resonates. And thanks for the reminder. That card is a very powerful reminder in this moment.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I'm so glad. Saint Dempna was a Celtic girl who fled from her homeland after her widowed father made advances toward her in his bereavement. She and another saint traveled to Antwerp where they found where they founded an oratory. Eventually, Dempna's father found her, and when she rejected his inappropriate affections, he murdered both her and his other saint. Dempna's relics and the location of her death are said to heal epilepsy, insanity, nervous conditions, and possessions. Oh my gosh, I have chills all over. I just got them too. Oh my gosh. This is also about you being a healer. You're a healer. You're such a healer. You've always been a healer. It's what you went to school for. It's how you help people. You help people heal themselves so they can have thriving businesses and you help them heal their businesses.

SPEAKER_02

That resonates. Now I have goosebumps on both arms. Thank you. That that's a gift right there. That is. Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

You're welcome. She's the patron saint of mental health. Are you kidding me? Mental health workers. And you can call upon her to help you, a loved one or a client with emotional and mental upsets.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh. Yeah, divine timing, an absolute perfect card. Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

You're welcome. I'll text you when we hang up. I'll text you. Okay, thank you. This card. We just have to trust ourselves more and more. And I'm excited to see as you continue to evolve and what you do. And I really do see this evolution happening. And it's like, how does it get even better than this? Right. But it but it can and it does. And as other people start to teach your work, and you know, that's like you don't have ascension programs, but you will continue to ascend. And as you do, like there's just goddess energy all around.

SPEAKER_02

It's so beautiful. Wow. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Breathing that in. I'm so glad. Well, this has been so fun. I mean, we have a few extra minutes. Is there anything we haven't talked about that you want to share?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the only thing that I'll put out there is you can pivot. I always tell my clients this. It's on my mind because I was talking to a client about it this morning. He got really burnt out. He has worked with CEOs and teams for about 18 years. And he's just really burnt out. And I said, John, you could pivot. And he went, Oh, it's too late. I'm known doing this. I'm like, John, I was a speech pathologist. I owned an art consulting business. I was CEO of a national healthcare company. Then I was a life coach. And then I pivoted completely to business coaching. Pivot, pivot, pivot. And if and when something showed up and I went, oh, I'm not jazzed by that, I'd go do something else. So you could take your skills and do something else. And it was so interesting. We were on Zoom and he had this light bulb moment, like his eyes got real big at this light bulb moment. He always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, who was a motivational speaker to network marketing companies. And I'm like, there's your pivot. And he had just like teary eyes and went, You gave me permission. I'm like, it was always there. You just had to accept it. So I just want to remind the listeners with a lot of love if you're not digging whatever it is, whatever it is, you don't have to do that. Pivot, change it up. My business has changed so much in this industry over 31 years. Doesn't look alike, doesn't sound alike. I only do what's fun. So do what you love, love what you do.

SPEAKER_01

Beautiful. And isn't it so true that when we are doing what we love and things are fun, we actually make more money?

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, that is an understatement. Yes. It's an understatement. I'm always amazed. Like money rolls in, and you know, we're talking about a thousand bucks a day of a client. She's just hitting that threshold. She's she's a little inconsistent. It's like last week she did four days of a thousand a day, and the week before she crushed it and did way more than that. And she's just starting to hit her stride. And she was very worried about the money. And I said, forget the money. Are you having fun doing this process? She goes, I love it. I work for 90 minutes a day. I'm really helping people. I said, Well, then just keep doing what you love. And honestly, the money does show up when we are in alignment. I trust that.

SPEAKER_01

That's right. So take that to the bank, everybody. And if you're miserable, whether it's your job or even a business you started, you're allowed to reframe it for yourself and go, Why did I start this? And what do I want to do now? And we grow and we evolve. So that permission to pivot is critical. And even just write that on a pivot. Permission to pivot. You have permission to pivot anytime. Anytime. I don't think our guides, our angels, our higher self, the universe, nobody wants us to suffer. We are not here to suffer. We will not thrive under suffrage. So play, have fun, create, leave a legacy. That's what Dr. Terry is doing. And I'm so grateful that we got to learn so much from you. And thank you for your transparency in your story, sharing about your father, sharing about the ins and outs of some things in your business. Maybe we hadn't even planned to talk about today. You are such a gift, and I hope that you will be back. And you and I have many more fun things to do together.

SPEAKER_02

For sure. Thank you for having me.
