What Does It Mean To Abide?

One of the words Jesus uses over and over is abide.
It's a beautiful word...but honestly, it's not one we use very often today.
We don't tell someone to "abide" at the grocery store.
We don't say we're "abiding" with our friends.
So what exactly did Jesus mean?
And why did He make it such an important part of following Him?
If you're in a season of starting over—whether after divorce, loss, empty nesting, financial hardship, or simply rebuilding your life—you've probably had moments where you've thought:
"Everything depends on me."
I have to figure this out.
I have to pay the bills.
I have to make the right decisions.
I have to hold everything together.
That's an exhausting way to live.
Today I want to talk about the invitation Jesus gives us instead.
