And welcome everybody to another episode of Real Talk. Doc, you doing all right today?
SPEAKER_01:Yes, I am on this beautiful Wednesday, man. You know, it's one of those things where let's make this happen, brother. Weekday.
SPEAKER_00:Let's do it. Let's do it. Okay, so real quick, first, uh, we didn't we didn't say it last week, but uh, of course, Doc, you are a veteran. So you're happy uh belated Veterans Day to all the veterans out there. So how was your day? How'd you spend it yesterday?
SPEAKER_01:Well, I I first went to uh Denny's and got me a free meal with the whites, you know, and had the Grand Slam breakfast, and then I called some old veteran friends that was in the Marine Corps with me, and then uh my cousin down in Georgia was in the Marine Corps in Kwan and Kofi, Jr. And then I went to go see uh Predator, Predator Badlands. I'm a big Predator fan, going back to Arnold Schwarzenegger and those cats back in '87. And uh, was a little bit disappointed in this most recent Predator movie, but that's neither here nor there. So yeah, I pretty much enjoyed it, man. It rested up.
SPEAKER_00:Absolutely, absolutely. Okay, so uh we had a lot that happened uh over the course of week 10. Um, I mean, we had an ugly, and you could doc you can dive in. We have a lot to talk about, so I'm just doing the quick rundown and you could dive into whatever you want to talk about. So um the your wife's Raiders, they actually didn't look that bad against the Broncos, which everybody thought the Broncos were gonna blow them out. So that was a very interesting game. Your Falcons, oh man, I know that was rough. Jonathan Taylor's a beast, uh, but your Falcons definitely had a shot to make something happen. Uh the Giants, of course, they lost. Um they they fired Dable. Uh Dak Jackson Dark got hurt. Um so the Bears took care of that one. The Bills with the biggest letdown game, I think, of the year for them. So that's they they win big and then they lose real bad. So uh Ravens took care of business. Uh Patriots, they they beat the Bucks. Uh a lot of games. The Rams blew out the Niners. Uh and then Sunday night football, my Chargers uh took care of business against the Steelers. And then Monday night. It was an ugly game, too, as well. 10-7 was a score. Eagles, they beat the Green Bay Packers, who just looked awful on offense. So, Doc, go ahead and break down week 10, man. Let's do this.
SPEAKER_01:Well, it's the NFL, and you know every given Sunday anything can happen. But when Buffalo lost at Miami, not just lost, they got smoked by 17. You know, they might save McDaniel's job down there and save Tua. They got smoked 30 to 30. That should never happen, man. You know, you call yourself a Super Bowl contender. You got Josh Allen, the reigning MVP. That's a definite shocker. And I know Vegas took everybody's money on that, given that the Bills were double-digit favorites, you know. And uh not only that, you know, the Texans, the Houston Texans without CJ Stroud, brother. You know, they come back from 19 point downs in the fourth quarter in Houston, set a franchise record for a comeback victory, but that much a deficit, and beat Sunshine and the Jaguars in a division game, 36 to 29, you know. Uh uh our buddy, Marlin uh champion New Mexico loves his Bears. They were down 10 in Chicago. And that's partly why Dave all got fired, man. And then, of course, you know, the kid quarterback got hurt, you know, uh in a concussion, but props to the Bears for coming back. They're 6-3 right now. But uh the Patriots, you know, um, they go to Tampa Bay. And this is a thing that I really want to hit on, man, with a second-year quarterback at Drake May, brother. You know, this cat's for real, man. Here they are eight and two. They go on the road and be the division leader in NFC South in Tampa and Baker Mayfield coming off a bye week. They lost the Patriots. You got to give a coach of the year right now, today as we speak, the coach Rayro, man, down there. And who saw the Patriots being this good? Eight and two. They might be Super Bowl uh uh contenders. You know, I know it's the glory early for that. And then you got the Seahawks putting up 44 on the poor Cardinals, you know. Um, you see your boy Sam Darnold after leaving Minnesota. They thought he might go back to being the old Sam. This cat puts up 44 with Jackson Smith and Jigma being a superstar. He might have over 2,000 yards receiving. So it's a lot of things that went on uh this past weekend. And then you got my Falcons. Yeah, this is a ramp, brother. This is a ramp. Bring it. Jonathan Taylor ran for 244 yards, man. 244. And the team as a whole ran for over 300 yards, brother. And this is a college stats. This is college stuff. Over 300 yards in the NFL giving up on the ground, that can never happen, man. And that's devastating for me. And it's one of those things, I'm ready for Raheem Mars to follow Dayball out the door, you know? Because the misuse of clock management, the misuse of timeouts, a game that went overtime. Well, we should have won. The Falcons Marlin had seven sacks. Seven.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:And we still lost. And even Jesse Bates, my star sink there at an interception. Because uh, you know, Daniel Jones reverted back to being old Daniel Jones. Yeah. And we lost because we gave up over 300 yards on the ground. And that can't happen. This is painful for this year's Falcon edition because I thought B. John Robinson, Drake, Drake, uh, Drake London, uh, Darnell Mooney, Penix in his first year starting it. They talked so big on the offseason working together. And here we are, three and seven, brother. It's uh three and six, man. It's ugly. He has to go. Final two, you know, the general manager. So yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_00:And we've we've talked about this Falcons defense for for some time. And they have games where, of course, the Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills. We saw that game to where they just the defense was playing lights out. Uh so in that the first four, three, four, five games, you guys are playing fairly decent and then just wet the bed these last few weeks. And it's it's interesting because we kind of looked at what the Steelers did the week prior, and you guys somewhat implemented that to make Daniel Jones look like Daniel Jones. It's like just like you said, seven sacks. So um, yeah, it was it was an embarrassing uh game and 244 yards, three touchdowns by Taylor. I mean, if if he's not MVP, I don't know who do you give it to, Stafford. I I don't know, but I feel for your Falcons, Doc.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I'm glad about that, Marlon. Believe me, I appreciate it. But, you know, it this kind of putting up, you see these kind of stats in college when the old Nebraska teams uh with uh Tommy Frazier's run for 400 a game, 300 a game, and one running back had 244. This is the NFL, you know. And even though we have seven sacks, and then I applaud the rookie, Jalen Walker and James Pierce for getting a couple each, and we had a pick, interception, and we still lost like that in overtime. It's one of those things where, you know, the mismanagement of timeouts, again, it hurt us last year, his first year in Atlanta, but we gotta let him go, man. And as far as um, you know, uh what transpired with Coach David and the Giants, it was just time. I talked to Giants fans out here on the West Coast, they were tired of him. You're getting Jackson Dart killed on these design runs. He's missing time because of headaches and concussions. This is this is not old myth. You design a run. This kid's getting killed. He's a Warriors magistrate. Sometimes as a coach, you got to protect players from themselves. I'm not surprised that they should have let go the GM too, man. You know, and uh they had a chance to beat champion to make it go to the Bears. This is the second time. They they lost they were up by 19 against the Broncos and lost. So they ball is out. So it's a lot of things that went on in week nine, brother. I mean, yeah, week nine that that that uh you know uh was surprising and not surprised. Your charges. Talk about your charges, man. Being the Steelers who was well represented and then so far, have to steal, and then you and you put it on 25 to 10. Your car.
SPEAKER_00:Definitely didn't want us to get give up that last second uh touchdown, but you know, hey, it is what it is. But uh overall, we played great. We made Aaron Rodgers look every bit of his age. Uh the defense, we had a great game plan. We threw different looks at him. We didn't let DK get involved. Warren had a decent grunt, I think he uh decent game. I think he had about seven yards on the ground. Um but overall the defense was great. Offensively, it was uh we we got that we got that uh safety, and it was 3-2 at that point. But uh, and then I think half going into halftime, it was a very low-scoring game. But uh Herbert found a way to get to Ladd. He, you know, Keenan Allen, shout out to him. He's uh the leading receiver uh for receptions for the Chargers, so that's amazing. Uh, but but overall, this was a big statement game for us, and especially with the way the with the way they looked, the Steelers did, against the Colts. You definitely wanted to make sure that you were ready for them because you knew they would be ready with the performance that they did uh had a couple weeks ago. So we came in there, we did what we had to do, um, and it it felt felt great to get that win. And it was, oh, it was at least 70-30 Pittsburgh in that stadium. But we we came in. We it's sad that you have to run silent count in your own home, but we did it, we got the job done, and now we're on to Jacksonville, and then we get the bye, and then we get a star running back, uh, Marian Hampton back. Um, and yeah, so it's with with with the offensive line that we had running out there with these third and fourth stringers going up against TJ Watt and the crew. You you got to give it off to the O-line. Um it's it's definitely one of the best wins that we've had. Week one against the Chiefs was great, but I think this one was a little bit better, being that it was against this defensive line at this point in the season.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, Cameron Hayward, TJ Watt, that defense, High Smith, you barely, you're your two tackles out for the year. And that was a big win. The little running back, Vigell, who many people don't know, including myself, he ran for almost 100, man. And then your defense, limited, uh, the old man, Aaron Rodgers. He made he looked old. Yeah. And uh, he was red hot coming in, you know. But it's one of those things where the wins are hard to come by in the NFL, so congratulations on that. We can't leave week nine without talking about the Eagles on the road in Lambeau, you know, beating the Packers. You know, some people had the Packers, including myself, doing something in the playoffs, and here they are laying an egg at home against the Eagles. And you got to give it up to the Eagles, man. They might not look pretty, and I know AJ Brown, a stud receiver. He wants touches, he's bitching, but they win games. And Jalen Hurts might not be pretty, might not, but he wins. That's all he does, is win, man. And they paying him to win, and he does it. Yet he doesn't get the top five respect that I think he earned, given that he's coming off a Super Bowl win and should have won the other one two years, three years ago. But the Eagles beat going on the road and beating the Packers. I just think that they're on track to maybe uh doing it again, Marlon. Your take on that.
SPEAKER_00:Doc, I've talked about this team before, this Packers team. And we we put him on, well, not I don't want to say we, but the media put them on this pedestal because of you got Micah Parsons, you have all the firepower on the offensive side. But you still have Jordan Love at quarterback. That's the biggest thing that you have. And he's not proven that he can be in this category with some of these top five, uh, top five guys, but they want to still put him up there. Yes, you have Josh Jacobs, you have Dobbs, you have um, you know, Watson, you have a lot of weapons, but you got to put it together. And if he's inconsistent, and I heard this stat, not this stat, but I heard this uh statement before, he's gonna get LaFeur fired because of how he's playing. The defense is doing their job. If you can hold that Philly offense to only 10 points, you're doing your job. And I think through the past three games, that Packers' defense has held their opponents, they haven't scored, nobody scored 16 points, I believe, in the past three weeks. So they're doing their job. The offense has to put it together, and it's mostly by bad quarterback play by Jordan Love.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and that's bad. That Pack of Faithful is legendary, man. And he's not Brett Fav, and he's definitely not Aaron Rodgers, but you know, he's he's performing below what he did last year or two years ago in Dallas when he put up 48 points in the playoffs. He's regressed. But you know, before we move on, if there's one thing, if there's one thing that sticks out for week nine, I know it's the NFL.
SPEAKER_00:Week ten, Doc.
SPEAKER_01:It's the Bills, it's it's the Bills losing to uh the Dolphins, man. You know, and and and Mike Mike McDaniel, the coach, and tour, they were on death's door. Now they're in danger of keeping them, you know. And I don't know if that's the correct move or not. You know, they beat the Bills. You should have seen the celebration in the room. I know you did in the locker room after the game, you know, and and and well, I'm tired of the Bills, man. Every year you want to put Josh Allen in a bowl and he just doesn't get it done. I know it's only regular season. He got a long way to go, and he's still Josh Allen, but this should never happen. You know.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, no, I agree. And with this team, just like you were saying, with this team, they're very up and down. The wins are good, the losses are really, really, really bad. And this team, when you look at this, I don't think they're gonna be able to catch New England in the division. Which is crazy, which is crazy to think that the Bills are not gonna win the division for the first time in I don't know how long. And it's New England. Just like you said earlier in the show, nobody, nobody thought that we would see this team playing this game. Now they had a soft schedule, but at the end of the day, you gotta beat who's on your schedule. And they've been doing that and they've been taking care of business. So, uh, and then I think their biggest test was going into Tampa and beating the Buccaneers. So even with even with their cake schedule, between them and the Broncos, I don't think anybody put any money. Even Chad wouldn't have put any money on his Broncos being the one seed. So, or even B. Kerns putting money on it, on the Patriots to be the one seed. So it's it's crazy to see that the Bills are struggling like this. And if if they don't have that, the biggest thing, which is what where they always strived, was playing up there in Orchard Park and having that weather be the benefit to them. But now they have to go into another atmosphere, another environment, and go and defend home court or home field, which they won't be able to because they'll be on the road. It's gonna be tough. And depending on what type of Josh Allen plays, because we know their defense isn't great. The off it runs through Josh Allen, the team runs through him and that offense. And if that and if that offense is not hitting, their defense isn't gonna stop anybody.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, the window might be closing, unfortunately, for the Bills, man. And you know, nobody saw this. It's not like Drake May was a consensus all-American in North Carolina. He had a strong arm. I don't even think he made all ACC. He might have been second team all ACC that senior year or junior year. But props to Vrabel, man. This is all Vrabel. They're running back, Henderson, the speedy speed kid from Ohio State. They'll know how to draft and develop. But yeah, go ahead, brother.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, yeah. So this crazy, crazy week 10. Um, I mean, I think we pretty much touched on everything that's that was important. Uh the Ravens, they, they looked, they're getting back there. Now they're only a game behind. Uh, so of course they're gonna they're gonna find a way to catch them. They're gonna win that division. Vegas knew what they were talking about a month ago when we thought they were crazy, saying that they would still win that division. So they're there. Uh the Jets and the Browns, that was a a game to forget. Um so Justin Fields, I don't know if he'll they sign up for a two-year deal. Uh, he I don't know if he'll ever get a starting job ever again after this. It's it's it's pretty sad. Um And then the Cardinals. Uh there was just news out now with Kyler. I I don't know if it seems like they're ready to move on from him. Um Marvin Harrison Jr., he had a uh, I think appendix issue, so he's gonna be out for maybe a couple weeks. So the Cardinals team is a mess yet again. Uh and then the Seahawks, there they may be one of the best teams up there in the conversation with one of the best teams in the NFC. So uh yeah, it's definitely great. And then the Lions. Lions are there, Lions are back, uh, which we're gonna have a great, which transitioning to this week, and I'll start with this game because I think this is probably gonna be the best game. This is a great slate, by the way. Uh, and I'll and I'll end with a game that I want to talk about. Um but we have the uh the Bucks and the Bills, which that's gonna be a great one. Um the Bears and the Vikings, a big smash-mouth NFC North battle. Uh Green Bay and the Giants, Jameis Winston is starting on that one, but you know he's gonna sling that thing out there. He may get five touchdowns and also throw five picks, but he's gonna at least give their guys a chance. Uh Bengals and the Steelers, we heard the window about Joe Burrow. So he's gonna be back in about two and a half weeks. So that's gonna be interesting to keep a lookout for. Um Chargers and the Jags. The Jags are at least still somewhat in the race for the AFC. Oh no, they're not. Uh they might be still in the race for the wild card, uh, but the Colts are running away with that division. Um And then you got the Chiefs and the Broncos. This is I'm gonna be locked into every single play of this game just because of uh my, of course, my division. Uh, but the Lions and the Eagles, this Sunday night football game is going to be amazing, Doc. Go ahead. We can start with this one. Break this one down, Doc.
SPEAKER_01:I think the Lions and the Eagles, man, is the game of the week. With all due respect to the Seahawks, Rams, and that NFC West, I think the Lions had to prove that they got their thing back, you know, that they got their mantra back against the defending Super Bowl champ. You know, uh, this is golf versus uh, you know, uh, you know, their quarterback, you know, so the Eagles quarterback. And I want to see if uh the running back for the Eagles really goes off again, man, you know, because he's been having uh sub-point games and they've still been winning. The two-headed monster with Montgomery and Gibbs, uh, you know, versus Saquon Barkley, you know, and and and uh that defense for the Eagles ain't no joke, man. But the the Lions have a giant offensive line letting up Panay Sewell. So that line of scrimmage is gonna be brutal. In Philly, it's gonna be cold. So the running run, the rock is gonna be run. And I like Darren Campbell uh to go in there and do damage. Because remember now, uh Detroit has the Kid Williams out of Alabama to stir you the speech there. And I'm always saying Brown, you know, I'll put you his name, but I I just think the Lions are for real. They can go in there and beat the Eagles. But all the Eagles do is win. So I would lay the uh I think the Eagles are favored, but I would take the one and a half, whatever to spread it. Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. I'll take that. I'll take that, and I think the Lions are gonna go in there because Hutchison is playing out of his mind, you know. So we're we're gonna that's a great game right there, brother. Uh I think it's gonna be 24. Let's go 24-21 Lions. That's my prediction on that particular game. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I'm gonna roll with the Eagles on it. I like the score. I think we're gonna get the the last few, with the exception of your game and my game, we've had two games that have been uh the final score were 10-7, the Thursday night game and then uh the Monday night game. But also two, we got the Jets and the Patriots this Thursday. I don't want to watch that. But it's football, so I will watch it. I'm gonna put some money on it, so I will watch it. But this one, I need to see a good high-scoring game. The problem is these two teams are defenses, they're playing really well. The Eagles more so than the Lions, but uh I do think that the Eagles will be ready defensively, will be ready for whatever offensive scheme Dan Campbell wants to throw. But there's so many weapons. I mean, you got Laporta, you got Will Jameson Williams, you have Amonra, you got, as you said earlier, the two-headed monster. So there's so much that they can do, and they can hit you with the, they can run the ball as much as they want, or they can just go over the top and throw it to you. So uh this game, that uh, that environment's gonna be crazy. Lions fans do travel well, so I'm curious to see how many Lions fans show up. But this game's gonna be great. I'm hoping it can at least get to, uh, I don't know, one team in the 30s. I'm gonna say 31 Eagles and let's go 28 uh uh uh Lions. So that should be. Okay, that's fair.
SPEAKER_01:So we disagree with that one. Yeah, that's a good pick there, right there, brother. I love it. I'll write this down. If that's the game one of this weekend, then game one A has to be Seahawks ramp. The Seahawks just put up 44, and Stafford is playing out of his damn mind, man. I watched this kid from Georgia all the way to first pick to Detroit. He hasn't had an interception in six games. Something like 24 interceptions and zero picks in six games. You know, you got Puka Nakor, Devontae Adams. He got nicked up, but he should be all right for this game. And it's one of those things where this is typical NFC West, man. This is Matthew Stafford versus Sam Darnold. And Sam Darnold's playing out of his mind too. He's a poor man's MVP of the league right now, but you can't discount Seattle on that defense, led by Byron Murphy, defensive tackle out of Texas. You know, it's one of those things where, you know, gosh, this is hard to pick, man. I'm gonna let you go first from this. This is a brutal game in the NFC West, you know, uh, and uh take it from there.
SPEAKER_00:The Seahawks can win multiple ways. They can they two weeks ago, within the first half, it was what, 38 to 0 or 38 to 7, something like that, something crazy. And most of those were all over the air, just just throwing it. But just like last week, Charbonnet and and they they ran the ball a lot last week. So they can do it both ways. I'm gonna go and and this is these past games have been playoff games. So the the Monday night football game, that essentially was what we would get, you know, in an NFC uh, you know, wild card playoff game. This is gonna be another playoff game. And and with this one, I do like the Rams. The Rams have been there before. The Seahawks, I think, will be fine. They have a great core, a great foundation now with Injigba and uh, you know, the running backs and Sam Darnold, but the the Rams are consistent. Devontae Adams, you gotta see how his back is doing. He he did uh, you know, kind of tweak that back a little bit, but you you know, you got Puka, you got you have Williams, so I I do like the Rams in this one. Uh the spread um Rams are laying three and a half on this. I I do like the Rams uh covering the spread on this one. They'll probably win by at least five points uh in this one. So I'll probably say Rams. And it's gonna be a lot of points scored. It's gonna be a lot of points scored. So I think the Rams will probably end up getting, I'm I'm gonna put it in the 40s. I'd say Rams uh 42, Seahawks, it'll be 38.
SPEAKER_01:Well, I'd say I'd say I'm thinking Rams 31-27, and I say that because, you know, uh Jared Furris, the reigning defensive rookie of the year, and the other guy, Fisk, the Rams' defense is gonna have something to say about Sam Darnold's success. And this is division game, you know. So uh I know Jackson Smith and Jigma is a machine. He's going for 2,000 yards with breaking camera record, but I just think the Rams' corners and defense are gonna slow him down somewhat. And I like Kenneth Walker in this second or third year out of Michigan State, the running back for Seattle, but I agree with you, the Rams are gonna win. Uh, you got the Chiefs Broncos, brother, you know? And and this is this is a funny thing here. And Marlin, bear in mind, you know, I I don't think uh Patrick Mahomes and Houston's confidence where if they lose, they're out of the they're not even in playoffs now. Nope. So they gotta win. But the Broncos just do not score enough to say, okay, well, the the they're gonna win this game. They got a great defense led by Patrick Satane and those linebackers and D linemen, but can they score on Chris Jones, the Chiefs, Mammoth, defensive lineman, and and those people? Yeah, Colophilis on the edge. I don't know. I gotta take I gotta take Patrick Mahomes in a big spot. They were just in the Super Bowl, and people forget they just got routed. But this is Patrick Mahomes, you know, and you gotta prove to me Bo Nick's gonna come up in a big spot in the division to win this game. So I'm gonna go 33 uh 17, uh, you know, Chiefs, you know.
SPEAKER_00:Adam, Tom, uh, Tom in Colorado called Colorado, Montana, wherever the hell he's at. He he called Adam, and then Adam had a question for him. He said, Who are you rooting for in this game? Chiefs or the Broncos? As a Chargers fan, who are you rooting for? And I thought about it and I said, which I I don't know. And I and I said, I would I would root for the Broncos because if the Broncos continue to play, to your point, if the Broncos continue to play how they've been playing for the past uh couple months, can't put points on the board unless it's in the fourth quarter, Bo Nicks uh is just very up and down. I I would face that any day. I can deal with the defense, but if I know that my defense can go up against that version of Bo Knicks, that's who I want. Now, earlier on, they did put up some points uh against the the Colts and this and that, but this team is just not, I don't know if the spot's too big for Bo. I'm not sure what it is, but I I do I would love for the Chiefs to have a bigger deficit and to make it into the wild card. Um that that's just that's just where I'm at with that because there's a lot of teams that still, and they just they just gotta get a better record to get in. They'll probably will get in, but at that point, I'd rather have them go to Denver and play or go to New England and play. That's the matchup that I want to see. I want them to barely get in and have to go up against one of the whether it's New England, Denver, whoever that two seed is. That's that's what I want. So um in this one, I do think it's gonna be a low-scoring game. In this one, I think it's gonna be a lot of defense. Um I'm I'm gonna say, let's just say 17, uh, 13 uh Broncos.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, yeah. The only reason I put 33 on the Chiefs is because uh Rahees Rasheed Rice, and then of course, you know, Xavier Worthy and then that speed, and then of course Kelsey Paso. But uh Bucks Bills, man. We got to get in. Both teams come off the crushing losses. It's in Buffalo. And if either of these teams lose, it could be detrimental to the playoff or division win, you know, uh uh once. Uh I'm taking the Bills to win. I think James Cook is gonna be much more involved than he has. I don't know why the offense according. Sean McDern is has to be on the hot seat for the Bills, you know. He has to be on a hot seat. And and and as a divid Tampa Bay, they're a division four, but I just don't think they can go on the road with all those injuries at the skill position for Tampa Bay and be a pissed-off Josh Allen team, you know. And it's hard to win in Western New York anyway, you know, and selfishly, I don't like Tampa being a division as a reference, but I think the Bills might go in there and route them, man. You know, I know Matt Millano's out there, linebacker, and and uh they're missing Ed Oliver, but Josh Allen's gonna do Josh Allen things because he's really upset. He's taking criticism, you know, and it's a reigning MVP, plus he's in Buffalo. So I'm I'm taking Buffalo to win. Uh I'm I'm I'm gonna put 38 on the board with Buffalo, and I'm gonna put 21 for the uh Buccaneers, man. Your take on this? Coming off losses, both of them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I agree. I I do think that we're getting ready to experience this Buffalo. I'm sorry, not this Buffalo's Buccaneers team have their downfall. They had a great start to the season. Abuka was great. You didn't really have a game plan for Abuka, uh, especially when you had Mike Evans in there too as well. Uh Godwin's been in and out the lineup. You you can just you can defend him now because he only goes to Abuka and he only goes to K Dotten at this point. He'll he'll do Tez Johnson and you know here and there, but that that's how you stop him. And Bucky Irving's been out, he probably won't even come back this year. You have you had uh White and then Tucker in your backfield. You can defend him. You know, you can you could throw different looks at Baker and get him confused and double team uh Abuka and make him go to other options. So I just think we're gonna start to see the downfall of this Bucks team. You know, when was the last time you heard somebody talk about Baker Makefield for MVP? Josh Allen and the Bucks are Josh Allen and the Bucks are piss or and the Bills are pissed off. They're gonna go in there, they're gonna, you know, Josh is gonna be Superman like he's been. They're gonna win by double digits in this one. Easy.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I can't I can't disagree with you. I'm in total agreement, man. You know, now the uh the Bears Vikings thing is is is uh tricky because it's a faction out there that really doesn't still believe in Clayton Wills and uh you know their defense led by foot coach Flores, who should be a head coach, by the way. That's another discussion for another day. Vikings coming off a coming off a big win. Uh I still got to go with the Bears because I'm not trusting JJ McCarthy and a big NFC North black and blue division, all that. I'm taking the Bears, man. You know, I'm taking the Bears. The champion of Mexico might be happy if he's listening. Because I really believe in Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams coming off an emotional win. And then they got the running back, you know, DeAndre Swift and the backup. And they've been playing some solid defense. So I'm not sold on JJ McCarthy and Coach McDonald up there in Minnesota. I'm taking the Bears, man. Low scoring. Let's go 21 uh 17, Bears. Let's do that. What's your take on that? I like the opposite.
SPEAKER_00:I like the opposite. They are home. JJ's very inconsistent. You still have a lot of weapons around you. You got Aaron Jones back, you got TJ. Uh, you have, of course, Justin Jefferson.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:I think they'll figure out a way to get it done. It'll be an ugly win. I'm gonna say 24-21 Vikings on this one, but it's especially with these NFC North. And also, too, let's if Champ is listening, which Champ and Casey, if they're listening, I hope they are. Um Caleb is is still very inconsistent. He's not, he he needs a little bit of uh it's not too many times where he's back-to-back, you know, consistent games. Yeah. Uh we've still seen him make some of the overthrows and and which he's he's getting there. He's he's young, so it's only his second year. He's getting there. He will get better. But also, too, we just have to realize that Caleb is still Caleb and he's bound to to mess up. And this is gonna be a crazy environment, too, as well. So um, but I do like the Vikings uh in this one to win by By three points in this one.
SPEAKER_01:That's fair, man. Panthers at Falcons, man. If we lose this one, I mean Raheem Morris doesn't need to get dressed and shout out. Just leave the stadium in Mercedes. The Panthers have owned our asses. They knocked us out of the playoffs last year. And then this year they put up 30 on our asses. You got to have some pride. We're at the crib. They shut us out 30 to nothing in week three or four. And uh they just lost at home to the Saints in the NFC South. And uh, as I referenced, we had seven cents from our rookie linebackers and some other people last week against uh, you know, the Colts. I'm hoping we've been pressure on, you know, Bryce Young. You know, I hate to see that we're gonna concede anything at home, given that we're at a four-game losing streak. I'm taking Falcons 23-16 over the Bucks, man. That's just me being a fan. You'll call on this NFC South matchup.
SPEAKER_00:I don't know what to think about the NFC South. Between, because here's the thing. If if any of these teams were half decent, which the Panthers are there, they're they're coming up and finding ways to make wins. Early on, like I said before, your defense was lights out, and now it's it's just non-existent at this point. Um but as far because this Bucks team, they're good, but they're not great. They can definitely be beaten. Um and then with the Saints, with the with that rookie uh making his debut, uh, I think uh a couple weeks ago, he finally had a great game. Um But yeah, Doc, I I don't know. I I'm always pulling for you, but I mean this this Falcons team, I mean this uh this Panthers team is gonna come through. Um Rico Daddle's probably gonna rush for two scores, 150 yards. That that's just that's just what it's like. I can't I can't put any stock in the Falcons anymore, Doc.
SPEAKER_01:Well, that's right, especially on the ground. That's a good point about Rico Daddle. You know, he's replaced Chuba Hubbard, whatever his name is, and put up big numbers, big numbers. Went over 200 yards two or three weeks ago. And I don't have a problem with that. Good job on that, man. And we we just need a win badly, you know. Uh um is yeah, okay. Well, Chargers at Jags, man. You know, Sunshine and Jacksonville is pissed off, but can the Chargers go in there on the road and then win back-to-back games given what you did on defense against the Steelers, man? I'm putting them for you too. Doc, I'll take them.
SPEAKER_00:I'm pissed off. And I can't, I gotta go back and look, but I don't know the last time we played this Jaguars team. If it I'm not sure if we played them again after that playoff win, the playoff loss that we had when it was 27-0. So I don't know if we've we've played them again, but shoot, I'm this is the our last game before the bye. Let's just go into the bye 8-3, just take care of business. This shouldn't be a hard game, but the way this defense is played. I know we're we're gonna be down there. It's gonna be good weather um, you know, down there in Jacksonville. So let's just go take care of business. Herbert, just come ready, prepared. Uh, we get we're getting ready to get Hampton back. The defense should continue to pick up where they left off. It should be a simple game, just go in there. What's the spread on this one? The spread's here. This Vegas knows something. The spread's only uh we're only favored by two and a half. So Vegas thinks it's gonna be close, but we should go in there and don't let this be the letdown game, especially before the bye.
SPEAKER_01:Well, payback is a bitch. You remember this game three years ago in the postseason. And even though the Jaguars have a solid defense, man, with Trevon Walker and some other cats, they're missing uh uh Hunter. He's out for the year, the rookie, the second overall pick, who I think is a bust too, like Adam Shine said. But they're at home, and you just buy time until you get a Marion Hampton back, you know, and take. I think Harbaugh can do this. It's it's gonna be an ugly game, maybe a 16-14, but you'll take anything. You'll take 3-0. I think the Chargers are gonna win, you know. So good luck on that.
SPEAKER_00:You know, so uh and last thing I got for you, this is a very interesting fact. So on the website that I'm on, it pretty much just lets me know where the what the out of all the games, what the lowest tickets are if you want to go to the game. And I'm I'm looking at, you know, the Dolphins and Commanders low tickets are for 105. The Bills and and Bucks 177 is the lowest ticket. Vikings, uh, bears 159. So it's you know, it's kind of in that same ballpark range. Seahawks, Rams, 133. And then I look at the Ravens and the Browns. The lowest ticket is$10. Are you kidding me?$10 will get you in the door. And then this makes more sense. The Titans and the Texans, lowest ticket is$15.
SPEAKER_01:Oh my goodness. Titans and the Texans. That's 70s prices. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00:But out of all the games, Doc, I'm gonna put you on the spot. Out of all the games, take a wild guess at what the highest ticket pricing would be. So, of course, we we got you know, Lions, Eagles, Chiefs, Broncos, uh, you know, Niners, Cardinals, Bangle Steelers. So, out of all the ones we looked at this week, what is the highest ticket to get in the door?
SPEAKER_01:As a wild guess, I would say uh Bengals Steelers. Is that accurate? Bingo Steelers, maybe? I don't know.
SPEAKER_00:It's it's it it ties home to to your your household, Doc. The Cowboys and the Raiders.$312 is the lowest ticket. Wow. Cowboys are you kidding? Cowboys and the Raiders. Five wins total combined.
SPEAKER_01:Oh my goodness, man. Uh the Raiders in Vegas. The Cowboys are the Cowboys are uh uh a franchise monster as far as merchandise and memorabilia. I can see that, but that's a little bit shocking giving that those changes pretty much so. So yeah, that's uh that's a good question there. You got me on that one. Yeah. Hey, hey, hey, I gotta ask you this, though, man. You mentioned the NFC, uh AFC North, you know. Uh now, if if the Steelers lose this game, they need to blow it up. Tommy needs to go. And remember, the Bengals are coming off a bye week and they beat the Steelers before. I go down on Lynn saying the Steelers are gonna win, but I just don't know, man. Keeping what I saw against you guys. Aaron Rodgers is old now. He's playing all. Your take on the AFC North right there in that particular game. And I love Troman.
SPEAKER_00:I think Joe Burrow went in that locker room and said, hey guys, just get us, get let's get the team to a certain point. I'll be back, and then we have a shot. Because he said it himself wide open. He's only two games behind out of winning the division. So his window, he's coming back in two and a half weeks. So he's yeah, it's crazy. They said it was coming back in December. It looks like it's gonna be a little bit before that. So two and a half weeks, he's gonna be back. So he's I mean, if you can motivate that team enough, this still the Stillers team is very inconsistent. I'm hoping that you get a pissed-off Rogers that comes back and dominates. Uh, but defensively, I don't know if they'll be able to stop this this high power offense. With with old man, you know, Joe Flacco, we got the Ice Bowl, uh, Icy Hot Bowl part two. So I'm not sure what'll happen.
SPEAKER_01:Icy Hot Part two. I like that, man. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my goodness. Uh as far as the Raiders, my wife, she's moved on to the Lakers, obviously. But the Raiders, they need to blow that thing in. You're talking about coaches that are on the fire. You know, I think Pete Carroll, he's just too old. He doesn't why draft a running back sixth overall. You don't run him. You run him six times a game, it seems like, you know, and he's a stud running back, you know, Ashley Genty. So all they have is uh Crosby. But here's the thing, man. You know, they're running out of time. And and uh it's it's over. It's over. You know, the Raiders are used to this kind of funny Raider S, poor Raider S. So I don't know, man. It's a marquee game, given that two marquee franchises in the big city of Vegas. Well, both teams that combine fine wins, as you referenced. So there you go, right there, man. You know, I hear you.
SPEAKER_00:So yeah, so definitely looking forward to all of the games coming up uh this weekend. And uh yeah, that's that's all I got. Doc, you got anything else?
SPEAKER_01:Well, I gotta mention college real quick, you know, uh Texas and Georgia in Athens, Georgia, and then you got Alabama playing uh Oklahoma, John Material, and those guys. Huge ramifications for both squads, you know, and I think Georgia's gonna win in Athens a close one. We swept him last year, but Arch Manning to me is playing a little bit better, but I don't think Kirby Smart's gonna let his crew lose another big game at home. We all lost to Alabama. So we're on no outside looking in right now as far as the SEC championship, because we gotta hope AM or Bama loses. But that weekend right there, the double header with Oklahoma and Alabama and Georgia, Texas, that's off the charts. And then you got a few others, you know, and then and then college football. But we'll get into that after these this weekend is done because this is big boy now, Wallet. That's it.
SPEAKER_00:Absolutely, absolutely cool. Well, shoot, other than that, uh we will be looking forward to the games this weekend, and we'll be back next week. We'll catch you guys next week. Peace. Peace.
