Welcome And Big Rams News

And welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to another episode of Real Talk. Doc, you doing all right today? Yes, I am. Yes, I am. You know, it's beautiful to have the number one Rams fan ever on our show tonight. You can do the intro, brother. Absolutely. I don't know why. He he's so close to home. You know, he still can be a Chargers fan. It's not too late. Uh, you know, there's no word that Aaron Donald is coming back yet. So there's there's there's still room for him as a Chargers fan. I mean, he he hates the Chargers, but I know he kind of has a secret place for him in his heart. But what's up? Mike Aniosy joins us again. What's up, Mike? How you doing? Well, uh, Marlon, that just passed probably in 1970, something or another. As you probably before, Mike Dad was going to Coliseum back in the 50s. I think it was touched in stone what team I was gonna root for, right, Doc? Yeah, absolutely. Uh of course we have the uh the Spurs and the Knicks in the finals that are starting tomorrow night. Uh, we will dive into that in a little bit. But of course, the major breaking news uh with the Rams trading and getting uh

What Myles Garrett Means For LA

Miles Garrett, I think a trade that nobody saw coming. And and of course, we will talk a little bit about another trade uh that we saw coming, which was A.J. Brown to the um to the Patriots. But first we're gonna start with this doc. I'm gonna do a little different start with you on this one. So what were your thoughts on this trade when you saw it happen and what does this mean? Uh really more, and I don't really care too much about the Rams. I'm not I'm in the uh the Browns' perspective, but for the the Rams perspective, what does this mean for them going forward uh this coming up season? Well, well, it's shocking number one because you know, preseason prognosticators, including one, me, you know, we had the Rams going to the bowl anyway. And this is going back to last year when they had trouble uh beating Seattle. Seattle went to the bowl. The NFC West is gonna be brutal, and Mike knows this. But it's one of those things where it's the coupe de grap. Because if you remember, they picked up the cornerback, all-pro cornerback from Kansas City to uh help out on some deficiencies, man. And I really feel like the Rams, you gotta play the games now, and of course, healthy Stafford and healthy general means a lot to that team, but they're a shoe-in to at least go deep in the playoffs to the NFC Championship game like last year, and then go to the Super Bowl and win it. To put Stafford, you know, like LA. LAS. This is huge, man. Everybody knows Miles Garrett is a uh a future Hall of Famer first ballot. If he doesn't play another down, he's in there already. And then it's one of those things where you put him on the other side of the uh, I think the kid's name is Young, and then you can take it from there. And if Aaron Donald comes back, like some people say he will play with Miles Garrett, oh, this goes down as one of the you could put the Purple Eaters or the Skill Kirk defense in the modern times, because this is this is otherworldly, man, you know, on a bad Cleveland team the last two or three years. This guy's a two-time defensive player of the year in the NFL. Last year he had 23 sacks, you know, reigning defensive player of the year. And it's one of those things where this is a bad team. Now you put them on the rams with McVay and that and that and that uh defensive backfield and linebackers. This is one of those things where Seattle better watch out. Now they won the bowl, so you got to give them respect, Marlon and Mike. But I think the 49ers are gonna be left in the wash, man. You know, they did nothing in the draft, they lost people, and uh now Purdy's gonna have to go get up against uh Miles Garrett and crew and if Aaron Donald come back. Um right now, knowing the schedule, Marlon, to answer your question, I could easily see 14 and 3. They're not going undefeated because things happen. But 14 and 3 is not out of realm of possibility, you know, uh, or even 15 and 2. And and Doc, not to mention, before before Mike goes, we're gonna see this team, I believe they have six or seven primetime games. I don't know that we've ever seen, except for a couple Thursday night games, I don't know the last time we've ever seen Miles Garrett in that team in prime time. So it's gonna be great. So I I I think that if if Aaron Donald wants to entertain the idea of coming back, you can get somebody like Miles Garrett to make that happen. So I don't know if if I'm a Rams fan, I I hate it as a Chargers man. We do play each other, I believe, in week eight. Um so uh uh Herbert. Uh it's I think we should be fine with our tackles uh against Miles Garrett, but he is still one of the best, if not the best, uh edge rusher uh in the league. So, Mike, your thoughts? What was your reaction when it happened? And uh yeah, floor is yours, my friend. Crazy. Guys, I'll say this. Is this Dr. Bus, Matt Riley, and Jerry West, or is it is actually Cronky, Sneed, and McVeigh? I mean, it's like showtime fleckers. This team is just trying to get better and better. And like Doug said, I mean, they're already in position. I thought, okay, they're set. They got McDuffie, right? I mean, the draft's a little weird now. They got, you know, Titan, but everything else, you know, with hooking everybody and Devontae and Matt, once he came back, we're good. This one, I didn't see coming. But you know what? The Rams do the unexpected. They are just trying to just put themselves in that position to even leave no doubt. Like, we're gonna get this thing. We're gonna try to get this thing. And I heard today, the conversation guys, after the season between Steve and Day, where do we need to get better? Defense. Because you saw, Doc, what happened against the C. I mean, you you have Sam Darnell torching you, and you, you know, and uh uh the receiver, skip or nine, I forget his day, you know, he's torching us. And the fact is we need a better rush and better coverage. And we went in last year and the coverage just wasn't good enough, right? The secondary. And they did have McDuffie. And now, look at I love Jared Verse. Oh player. Jared's a great player, great player. But when you can get one of the best ever to do it, you have the defensive player of the year, you have the MVP on the same team. I saw him walking in today, guys, in a press conference. I saw a clip. He could barely sit in the doorway. This this guy's massive. Huge man, this guy, Doc. He's not like Aaron, Aaron's more kind of compact, his compact, six foot, six foot, whatever. Lord, this guy is this big. But if somehow, and I told, like I told Shine today, if they get Aaron to come back too, I'm gonna collapse. I'm just gonna think. If they get Aaron Donald to come back for a bit with Miles and everybody else, it would just be incredible. So it's it's it's it's really one of the wilder days in Rams history. I mean, it was wild when we got Stafford. And it's funny, guys, because we put both these guys off bad teams in their careers, right? You get Stafford on Detroit all those years. Terrible. Bring him here. Let's win. Now we're gonna stay with Miles trying to get him over here to get on a winning team. And I'm sure he's gonna be so excited to be here. You know, he's already working out today. You know, so he's just gonna be all in. And Mike, I think it's just great to see. I think it's crazy, Mike, to know that you guys were at least entertaining the AJ Brown thing. Uh, I think I saw something today that you guys um you know decided not to go with it, potentially maybe because you guys knew that Miles uh uh Mal Guerrero was coming, but uh the fact that it's it's it's it's a fan, but as you said, you you have some of these great uh uh GMs that are willing to put these super teams together, and it's like, man, it makes you look at all these other teams and it's like, well, you you guys have the ability, you have the picks, you have everything, and I mean it's it's it's it's still wild. It's it's still crazy to think that Devontae Adams and and Puka Nakura are on the same team, you know, and you get you got Stafford's extension, like it's it's crazy, man. It's crazy, and I I think I told Shine today this too. I said, and I told my son, I said, you know what? The you know, the 22 years they were gone, you know, and it was just so awful when they left and everything in Georgia Frontier document and that whole messed up situation, going to St. Louis, and just how sad it was at the end there in Aheim Stadium. And the fact that we've given up those 20 years for them to come back and have this, I'll take that 20-year loss for them to have what they're doing now, because this is just remarkable. I did not expect this kind of organization to just be so in, you know, Cronky's just like, I mean, this is this is he's got the abs, he's got, you know, he's got arsenal, he's got the nuggets, but this seems to be his his team, right? This is where he's putting it all. And uh the fact that they're just keep doing it and keep adding, and they added a few years ago on one of Super Bowl, right? They brought an hotel, they brought a ramping, yeah. So here they are just trying to gear up. You're trying to gear up to just get Stapper, you give him it, you know, he's there. It looked like two years, right? He's not an extra year. Let's get everything set up for him for these two years and just enjoy the heck out of it, and then we'll see where it goes after that. So there's a lot of excitement, but you still gotta play the games. We know how that goes. It's on paper, it looks great, but you still gotta get out there and play it and see what out. Yep. Yeah, because I'm glad you brought that up. Because Marlin and Mike, I don't know how my Falcons uh beat the Rams in Atlanta, and we fired the coaching stardom, so you still have to play the games, but it goes noted, fellas, that you know, nobody's talking about the Ty Simpson draft and the the and the backlash from that now, because now you added uh two pieces, you know. And it's one of those things where, you know, Miles Garrett in and of itself makes this draft class and this team here over the top. Now, Mike, if if McVeigh wins this Super Bowl, he's gonna go down as one of the best coaches in the history of the sport at such a young age. Now, this is this is modern NFL, Marley. You know, with free agency and salary cap and screw things up. But you're talking about a young coach as one will win two Super Bowls in six years or five years, whatever the case may be, under enormous strain of the cap. So this goes back to management, managing things and thinking ahead. And uh, you could give uh the guy in Philadelphia much props, but I'll take the Rams guy for doing what he's done in today's modern NFL. We're not putting up there in Shula class or Lombardi, but it goes noted. This kid, this coach here, you know, uh, and he's special and he has a lot of energy. Yeah. Go ahead, Mike. So I can see him when he was 30. It's pretty wild, right? 30 years old, he was a head coach. No one even heard of him, of course, but he's from a football family, right? His grandfather got a band of Niners, he was with Redskins, he worked with Kyle Shannon, so he's had a background, but he just blew away in the interviews, and they go, God, who's this young coach we got? And you knew from the get-go, he's just a leader. He's just everything about it, he just commands the room. He's just very particular how he likes to do things, and that's the Rams as a whole. You better do it their way or you're gonna be out. Right? You remember when they traded um, oh my gosh, what's the guy's name? He's on the Seahawks last year. He was a linebacker. Oh, I guess he was in. They just shipped him out. I don't know what happened, but sometimes if things go sideways, they'll they'll just get rid of you. So you gotta fit the mold. Like Odell came in and fit the mold. So they're very particular how they do things, but they are just battling. And Sean's like, listen, you know, and he almost left a couple years ago. And I imagine if he gets another one or two, eventually Stafford goes, he might be gone. He might go to the, you know, Amazon or Fox, whatever, CBS to do games. I could see that. That's right. That's right. I got that whole thing going on. So there's a lot of things, but right now, it's all in on this, and he'll take this as far as you can. You know, I I remember back when um I remember back when they were having the McDiv McVay and he was considering, you know, retirement and all of that stuff. And then, you know, look at him now. And I think that now coaches want, or teams more so, organizations want to go with a younger, uh, you know, you don't necessarily want to go with like a Tomlin or, you know, somebody that's a little bit older, a Harbaugh. You want to sometimes take a chance on a young guy, which we tried to do with Staley, and obviously that was a complete disaster. But some teams uh want to go in a different direction, and you want to go with the young, like look at you know, Ben Johnson and look at some of these other coaches that are are young and fire, and and they they respect they respect these guys because they're they're young in the scrap and you want to run through a wall for them. So um it was it's crazy. I didn't even realize that it was a couple years ago, and you know, they're they're set up right now in the NFC to, for one, win the division first. That's that's always first and foremost, and then you know take care of the rest of the schedule into the playoffs. But I mean, what they're set up now, and especially too if Aaron Donald comes back, it's gonna be scary. Go ahead, Doc. That'd be something Ernest Wells is who I'm thinking of, by the way. Yeah, the linebacker. That's either Williams waiting. And he was their leading tackler, Doc. They got rid of him. And I don't know what went on there, but he said, see Ernest, and he traded him, I think, yeah. And probably something he made, who knows what he said or what happened, but that's the way they are

Cleveland’s Picks And QB Problem

sometimes. I'll just kind of see you later, Reso Nelson. Oh, that's the NFL, brother. But we'll be remiss, gentlemen, if we don't talk about Cleveland side of things because they got several picks next year and the year after. They're set for the long haul. The only thing holding that team back, and they had a great rookie class last year, especially defensively. Kid linebacker won defensive rookie of the year. But I I think Cleveland, the quarterback situation will hold that team back in such a tough division with Baltimore, Cincinnati, and uh uh uh Pittsburgh. But they're set up in the long run, you know? And Munkin, he knows offense, but I think defensively, they're gonna be set with this kid Thurs is only 25 in his first rookie contract here. Mike, you know the potential this kid had two years ago as a defensive rookie of the year. But Marning, keep an eye on Cleveland two or three years from now, you know. All they need is a QB, long-term, because it's not Deshaun Watson, and some say it's not Sanders, but it goes noted, man. They came up big time with picks, and you need draft capital. Who says they can't trade up to get Arch Manning or the other kid quarterback that's pretty high on the list? So gotta give Cleveland some props to thinking ahead, their management. Because they've been that's a loyal fan base, and they've been dogs for decades. Literally. Oh, yeah. But go ahead, Mark. Can we say Cleveland, you know the history. Yeah, they haven't won since 1964 with Jim Brown. I mean, that's crazy. They have not won since they were the greatest football player ever, Jim Brown. That that whole area, think about it. They haven't won. The Indian Guardians haven't won since the Korean War. The 50s, whatever it was. And then LeBron got them at one title with the Cavs. They'd have that, they'd have nothing. It's been pretty bad there, you know, in Cleveland for sports, but the Browns, it's been rough. You know, they had you remember they had some good moments there in the 80s, Brian Sniping, those guys, and Ernest Bynor, those terrible back-to-back losses with the Broncos, but it's been rough for them. So I don't know what their fan base is. They feel, I think, pretty dejected again. They lost even one of the greatest. But yeah, you gotta get you gotta start somewhere again. I don't know. But you're right, they got a great gun, Claire Jarrett, who's from Ohio, by the way, too. He's from Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't know. Well,

Drake London Gets Paid In Atlanta

go ahead, Marlon. I know you want to weigh on the other thing that's been going down for a while now, too. But before before we get to that, uh, Doc, I need you to talk about your team. With with your receiver that got paid. Um, Jesus, I just had his name, uh, Drake London. You know, he got his four-year, uh, four-year deal, $141 million. So talk about that for a little bit. What does that mean for your team? Well, I think the the you reward hard work, and this guy was the number one pick out of USC. And uh it's one of those things where he deserves it, man. You know, he deserves it. And then it's one of those things. I'm happy for him, 6'5, we're 4'5, you know. And then uh I'm happy for the young man. He's only 25. Here's here you get Mike, another young cat, you know. Uh I I think that uh this helps either tour or Penix, more so Penix, you know, and uh I'm happy for him, you know, to go with Pitts. I thought Pitts will be gone prior to the draft, but it goes noted. That's a good question. And this is a this is gonna be something that uh Matt Ryan can hold his, an ex quarterback can hold his hand on. He got the number one receiver signed to go with Dotson and to go with the rookie Zachariah Branch from Georgia. So good question. Absolutely. I'm happy. And and they're saying that uh B. John's uh extension is coming up pretty soon, which is expected, and he's gonna be the highest paid uh running back uh in the league whenever it's time for him to get his extension. So um, but yeah, on to another receiver that got traded, AJ Brown.

AJ Brown To Patriots Fallout

Uh we we all knew that this was coming. I think he knew something was coming uh that that last game uh that he played, uh that playoff game, and he walked out um and just kind of grabbed all of the stuff and left the locker room. So um so yeah, so that definitely was a um uh a shocker. But it was I don't know, one of one of you guys needs one of you guys need to go on mute. There's a lot of background noise uh in one of you guys' um phones. But uh so yeah, so Doc, I'll start with you on this one. Uh, you know, what what what were your thoughts when the trade finally happened and what does this mean for the the Patriots? They they got rid of Diggs, uh, but but now you got uh another number one that comes to town. He's basically been top five in most of the categories for at least about five, six years. So what does this mean for the uh for them, yeah. Well, you know, P. Kearns is a Patriots fan. I'm happy for that and their uh fan base. They just made the Super Bowl, so they needed a guy that could be the guy. You know, I know Bouquet is a talent and some of the other cats, but this is AJ Brown here with a young quarterback and uh Drake May and say, okay, this is my guy. I can give him 80 catches, maybe 90, you know. So uh that made that Patriots nation ain't no joke, man. They needed something. You kind of knew that they wasn't gonna win the bowl, but now with uh your boy AJ Brown, they can stretch defenses and catch over the middle and motivate it. He could do some things. And Mike, you'll agree. That's what a young quarterback needs, man. You know? So we're happy for that. And I I think they can combat Buffalo Bills, Adam Shan's Buffalo Bills, for the AFC East right now, today, as we speak. Because before it was and remember, Drake Mae went on the road and beat Buffalo without uh AJ Brown. So that's gonna help out the defense, that's gonna help out the locker room, the morale. And if the coach can get his head out of his ass and stop chasing women, yeah, I said it. Uh they're they're a changer to uh, you know, do their do the business at AFC East. But go ahead. I mean, last year it all worked out. They had an easy schedule, right? Very easy, and they look at May was he played great, give him credit. Ramble did a great job. You know, he came in there, but boy, the Super Bowl was just awful. The offseason's been terrible. We know the controversy going on with Rabel, so they got a lot going on. And AJ Brown, he's such an interesting guy to me, because he just had a night I just saw the clip for him. He got married in Laguna Beach. Did you guys see this a few weeks ago? And he put something on the thing was an event down there, Doc. He was down there at uh I forget what hotel he's at. But it's but then I heard him today. Couldn't it be nicer? Couldn't it be more grateful? It's like, what the hell happened in Philadelphia? You're writing a book on the sidelines, dated by Galen hurts the wedding, everything went sideways. But you you see the talent, right? You see the talent, so he needs a new lease. He played for Ravel before. Oh, it's a it's a great pickup for them if everything works out there. But if they got a tough schedule now. What I mean, Sean was talking about the first five games that they picked Steelers, Bills, um, there's some other Seahawks, I think. It's a tough schedule to start. So it's not gonna be as easy for them this year. Well, it's good because they they had a cakewalk schedule last year. Um I wish I wish obviously it would have been a better situation in the playoffs, but they they really uh all of the teams that they played had most of most of them had losing records. So they did, I believe they did end up beating the Bills, I think in one of those games. That was their most impressive win, but they had a very cake schedule. But with them making it as far as they did in the Super Bowl last year, it's not it's good. Let's see what this team is really about. Um, you know, they they have the the you know the the the quarterback, we'll see what he's made of, and now you've got your number one receiver. But but let's see. But their defense was uh it's gonna be there, and I think we know that for a fact. But um, yeah, we got some Sunday night football, I believe, uh towards the middle of the week, but definitely a tough schedule. So uh we'll see what about that. But Doc, I gotta ask you about Philly. So now looking at Philly, uh, you know, without AJ, you know, you have Devontae Smith, you still have Saquon, of course you got Jalen. I believe Goddard is still there too as well. So you have some some weapons. Where do they go from here after you know, post AJ Brown? Well, the locker room is cleaner now, and that's what you need. You don't need people attacking your starting quarterback who should should have two rings by right now, but he has one and he lost one barely. And he played outplayed Mahomes. But here's the thing Makai Lemon immediately comes wide receiver 1A uh on the side of Devontae Smith. And I love Lemon out here in USC out here on the West Coast. I watched him perform, and although he's a rookie, I think Jalen uh curse is gonna put him to use in some packages. But Devontae Smith, he's wide receiver one now, and he's perfectly capable of it, fellas. You know, won the Heisman Trophy of Alabama, Nick Saban's boy. So he's used to pressure, but you don't have the uh undercurrent now, and it's a cleaner locker room. Guys have stayed out of trouble in Philly. Syriana says Syriani, say what you will about him, Mike and Marley. The guy's been to two Super Bowls and won one. So he knows how to motivate guys. And Jalen Carter, who is a question mark mentally, he's been quiet as a church mouse. You don't and just read up Jordan Davis, the big defensive tackle. So they they got people on that side as well, defense and offense. I just think it's a cleaner locker. Everybody's happy. In New England and Philly, to answer your question. Yeah. Okay. Mike, anything before we get to some NBA? Yeah, I mean, like, the Eagles, you know, they're interesting, they're kind of a uh an interesting group, right? You know, I don't know if the Rams are that problem to them, right? You know, they had those crazy games a couple of years ago. Saquon went crazy with the four TDs two in each game. Then last year they played them. The Rams said he hugely blew the game, right? We had her kick block, John Carney got blocked, and you know, that was it and that went in for their touchdown. But they're, you know, Syriani's a he's a weird dude, but they they, you know, it's funny with them because they almost he almost got fired that one year, lost all the gigs at the end, but then he came back and won the Super Bowl, and then last year's roll up and down. So we'll see what they do this year, but there's definitely talent. You know, anytime you have Saquon didn't have a great year last year like he had the year before. Jalen's good. You know, they got pieces, like you say, Doc, but we'll see if it all comes together now. Lemon, that's the guy I wanted the Rams to pick. I mean, I keep thinking he would look so good. And he's a USC. They scouted him, I'm sure, and you know, just put him in there and you know, give Devontae a breakdown then, but they didn't do it. It is what it is, but he's got a lot of talent. He's a very, very talented kid. So that he's gonna help him there. So they're gonna be in, they're gonna be in the mix for sure. I mean, I don't know. Adam was saying Cowboys, Rams, NFC title game. I'm not convinced about the Cowboys yet until I see them. Me either. Yeah, that's again always something always happens with that group. You know, something always falls apart, it seems like. So and Martin, before we go to the yeah, I don't mean to cut you

Giants Drama And OBJ’s Return

out, Martin. Martin Broker's the NBA, we have to mention the Giants and the chaos that's going on with the quarterback Jackson Darn introducing the president and some of the black players on the team taking offense to that, especially Abdul Carter. And then they signed OBJ, you know, and I I'm not so sure that this show round with the Giants and Harborough's first year and Giants that uh this is the right thing to do with OBJ. Assuming neighbors comes back from knee injury, Marlon and Mike, yeah. Do you really think OBJ can separate people from people? You know, Beckham had his years, and he's coming off from ACL. He's played in what, seven games in two years, something like that. You gotta pray for Harbor, if you will, for leaving Baltimore. Now he gets all kinds of mess in the locker room, and now you find OBJ hoping that uh, you know, I know he had him for a brief stand in Baltimore, but there's something going on in the Giants locker room that Giants fans know, and they're not happy about it. Scatterboo the running backs hurt, you know, and uh they just lost a big defensive tackle to Cincy. So uh your take on OBJ, Mike, and all and go and rejoin it. I think he's shot. Go ahead. I'll start on I'll start on this one, Mike. First with your with with the whole Jackson Dart political thing. Uh I was um you would you would think that, yeah, okay, he shouldn't be uh Dart shouldn't be going out there and and introducing the president and all that stuff. And I I I kind of thought about it and you know obviously Trump, you know, won and everything, and there there's a lot of you know people in the world or in the world, in the US that ended up voting for him. And you have to think, if you just have to open your your mind, even though you Doc, you may have friends that you work with, Mike, you may have friends that you work with that you may think that they're cool with but they ended up voting for you know him or whoever. So it's it's it's almost like you you let's come to a certain understanding that everybody's not gonna have the same beliefs, everybody's not going to like the same, you know, people, president, who whoever the case is. So it's it's tough. It's it's it was maybe a moment for him that he could maybe never have a moment like that before in his life. I don't want to kill Dart too much for it. Um, but it's it's it's a tough spot to be in for him, and now it's like he can't even be himself and necessarily open up to to to introduce the president. But who knows? He maybe grew up in his whole family, you know, wasn't Republicans for who knows however long. I don't want to make this podcast political or nothing like that, but I I just think it's it's you guys have to come together, you guys are one team, and you guys aren't all gonna think the same way across so many different things in life. So I can't sit here and hate you. Like we we all know Chad Chad in California, you know, we know him and we know where he lives. I don't hate him any less because of who he he ends up you know leaving with and all that stuff. Like it is what it is. Like so um I don't is it a bad look? Yes and no, but you know, it it is what it is with that. But I I don't want to kill him too bad, but also too, it's like you have to be an idiot to think that if the 52 other men in that locker room all think the same way that you do, and all of you uh have the same political beliefs. So so that that that's that's what I'd say about that. But as far as with um with with the receiving group, obviously your your your uh receiver went down, and so you ended up getting uh OBJ, juju, and uh Barrios all on rookie uh like vet minimums. Let's see what happens. What's the worst? Uh two of those may not even make the team. So right now is the time that you load up and sign everybody because you know once preseason comes, two of those guys won't be on the team. So I I like the deal. Uh I think I like uh um OBJ coming back home. I kind of equate that to Keenan Allen a little bit coming back with the Chargers. Let's try one more one more year, prove a deal, let's see what you got. If it if it works, it works, if it doesn't, whatever. But he's at least gonna call some uh attention. You know, we saw what he did with the Rams. Mike knows we saw he should have been Super Bowl MVP. When he was in Cleveland, he did really well. Baltimore, I'm not the biggest Lamar Jackson fan, so that obviously wasn't great. When he was with Miami, that was a disaster. But I think this could be the opportunity, Doc, to your point, with neighbors not coming back. We don't know when he's coming back, maybe halfway through the season. This is his chance, this is his opportunity to say, hey, let me make a connection with Dark. You still got Isaiah Likely there. Of course you have Scataboo, you you have weapons, so let's see what can happen. Hopefully he stays healthy, and then at that point, let's let's take it game by game. Go ahead, Mike. Yeah, the whole thing about uh Dart, you know, listen, he uh you know he hasn't been in the league long enough to pull this kind of stuff. You know what I'm saying? It's not like he's a 15-year veteran trying to get up there and put himself front and center. Uh yeah, it's not a great move, like you guys kind of highlighted, you know, when you're dealing with 51 other guys in the locker room and we know how divisive this has all been, you know, with uh Trump and everything. Uh you know, I expect Chan in California to get up there and introduce him. That's fine. We don't he doing in a heartbeat. Cat would be there in a minute. Yeah. But uh but but Dart and this whole thing, but it's not even that guy. He's out everywhere. He's out the Kentucky Derby. I think the girlfriend's on social media, she's an influencer, she's always with there's always stuff going on with him. He's very in the limelight, but it just you have to work your way into that, you know. It's not like you just one year in the league, and all of a sudden you're doing that front and center. So that was probably a swing of the miss on his part. But ODJ, listen, I mean, I don't know what he's got left, but I'll tell you right now, when he was with the Rams that year, Marlon, I tell you, and I watched him before, he is such a smart player. You know, he made some grabs. I remember one against the Ravens, like they're late in the game, he had 10 yards, he just got his foot down, very heady guy, and he just was the perfect fit for the Rams that year. Real instrumental, you know, to get him where they need to go instead. He got hurt in the Super Bowl, but yeah. I don't know what he has left, you know. In football, it goes pretty quick, but they must see something there. I hope he does well. Because he's fun, obviously, and he's was an extreme talent when he was feeling good. You know, yeah. But uh we'll have to see how this goes. It's it could be uh it may not work, but we'll see. We'll see what happens. I'll close it out with this one. And Mike, I I think the the focus is the big thing in health with OBJ. Yeah, let alone the quarterback who's had three or four concussions in his rookie year alone. Can he stay healthy? And can Harbaugh design schemes and talk to him that he's not a full back? This ain't old myth in the SEC where you look good running over freshmen and sophomores. This is the league. And can Scatterboo stay healthy, their main running back, their main guy? So I don't know. It's Dart, it's the big New York City, it's big city, and you know this, Marlon, and Mike, New York is a different animal. Oh, yeah. You know, the guy's from the deep south, he's from Utah. Just stay healthy, like Mike Reverends, and work your way into something like that. You're a leader of men, you're the quarterback in the biggest city in the world. So that's all I got on that. I wish Giant fans luck, but I know they didn't like it, you know. But go ahead, Marlon. I digress. I I do think that uh a lot of players probably would have turned down that opportunity to do that. Um, and and who knows? It's it it could have been a once-in-a-lifetime thing and he he's out there, but uh uh you had to have known by going into that. Like I don't want to kill him too much because okay, you you're doing your thing and all that. If that's who you like or whatever, do do your thing. But you had to have known by you doing that, some people were gonna have an issue with it. Like nobody was gonna stay quiet on this. You had to have known that. So uh, I mean, uh they they talked about it, they're cool. So I highly doubt he'll be doing anything like that again. I don't I don't want to kill him too much, but if he does it again, oh, it's gonna be some hell to pay. So yeah, oh yeah, absolutely. All right, so uh the finals

Knicks Vs Spurs Finals Breakdown

are here. Uh the the Spurs uh and for for one, we have to break down the Spurs and OKC series. I know Doc we we were wanted to get it on last week, but we couldn't. Um Knicks sweep, I mean Knicks are just they're they're from top to bottom. Brunson, uh they're they're they're doing amazing. But um, just real quick, Doc, recap the uh Spurs and OKC's series, and then we'll go ahead and dive into the the finals. Well, I'm I'm just I'm I'm I'm thoroughly disgusted in Chet Hong and being a big man having to play the five spot. You gotta show up at the crib, Mike and Marlin. Four points in three rounds, three rebounds is not gonna get it. In fact, he disappeared in game six. I thought this guy in a study with balloon. I know Wimby is great and he clowned, but I thought Chet was gonna bring it in game seven and help out your boy, SGA. So I'm disappointed. And I know there are injuries to AJ Mitchell and Williams, Mike, so I'm not getting it twisted, but you know, SGA has my respect. It brought it 35 points and some assists, like 10 assists, 12 assists. But where was Chet Hogan? You know, where was Heidenstein? I need to see bodies and people elbowing and pushing them and just wearing down Wimby, you know, and a sense he had a great game that he had in great uh game one. And and San Antonio was on the road. Now, that being said, you know, the second year guy, uh uh Stefan uh what is his last name? He he he showed up there. Castle Castle, yeah, Stephon Castle. Then you had the rookie, Ron Harper's boy, you know, Harper, you know, the rookie doing it. But I'm disappointed in the uh, you know, Western Conference Finals, given that the home team, other than SGA, didn't show up to answer your question, you know, because people have penciled them, man, as the two-time champ that they're gonna win it in before the season. Young, nobody can answer SGA. He did win the second MVP, but there's something there. There's a hollowness, you know, injuries happen, so I'm not gonna use the Williams thing, even though he's an all-star as an excuse. But there's a disappointment there as a First NBA fan. But props to Wendy, props to the coach staff, who's uh underrated right now, coaching a youngster like Wendy. And I think they're gonna do some things, but uh, before you ask me who's gonna win it all, I'm gonna say I'll go the other way. Now, in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks, I think OG Ananobi is not getting much respect and props, Mike, for what he's done to help out Brunson, you know, uh, and Bridges and Hart. Hart showed up big. And let's give a shout out to the guy in the pivot, Kat. You know, and I love uh, you know, Robins, Mitchell Robinson. Like I said, I played the fire, I look at the big man, and Mike, you do too. You you know the guys from the past, but I think Kat has to do a number on Wimby Young. And I think what he did to Embiid and what he did to the Cleveland Center, Mobley, and those other cat, haw-ha uh Allen, they're soft, man. They are soft. And to have back-to-back sweeps, I don't care if the East is weak or some people might, when you speak in bludgeon teams like that, that that means you're for real. You got the heart you do. And they started with a 51-point game six route of my Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta, and they haven't lost since, you know? So that's my uh Western conference, Eastern Conference synopsis. Go ahead, Mike, your call. Yeah, Rose Break on the Spurs. I mean, actually that whole series. Doc, you're absolutely right. Kevin Hunger was awful in that last. Game seven. They paid him so much money. And I just go back to the Lakers series where of course he's dominating the Lakers. Marilyn Marley's dominating us. Arnstite's dominating us, so we don't, you know, we're it's different when you're playing a young, tenacious team like the Spurs. Doc, you see the way these guys play defense. They're up on you. And then, of course, you got Mr. 7'5 there. It's a whole different animal, right? And it's just uh it was impressive. They're so young. This is the second youngest team, I believe, to get to the finals, I heard someone say today. Because I was thinking, who's been younger than this group? They don't even know they're they're they're too young to even think about how numbers they're gonna be, right? So they're gonna be loose going into it. And I forgot, and Doc, I didn't realize this either, but Sean Sean Johnson, the coach of the uh Spurs, right? Uh his dad played on the Sonics in those 78 and 79 supersonic years. Sean Johnson I didn't know that. I didn't know that either. Ronnie Shelton, Dennis Johnson, all that, yeah. Yeah, all those guys. That was pretty cool. So he's from a basketball lineage, you know. So it's kind of uh it's kind of nice. But listen, it's it's a it's a great, just a fun matchup because you got Wemby coming to the guard, right? You got the guard and the Knicks and the fans haven't won it right since '73, finals in '99, and Wemby and what Wemby's ridiculous. I mean, this is this is it's exciting, right? You got a guy on the court. It's like Karima today, Doc. You can't take your eyes off him. He's just you got to defend him every play. Where is he? Gotta count for him. You know, but seven foot five and be able to dribble and do all these kind of better and better. You know, so we'll see what he can bring to the finals. But it'll be uh it'll be a very interesting finals, no doubt about it. Good matchup. Very exciting about it. Absolutely. And Doc, I mean, I'll just go go ahead. Go ahead, Doc. Go ahead. Uh I was just gonna say uh question. Go. Yeah, Mike, I was gonna kick it back to you on this one. What are your thoughts? So we're looking, we're looking at the the star power in this one. Obviously, it you know, you have Brunson on one side, you have Wimby on the other, right going to the garden. This this is gonna be a tough match. So obviously, who's gonna be the answer to Wemby? And who's going to try to slow down Brunson? Like, what what are your what are your thoughts and predictions on this series uh starting tomorrow for the finals? Yeah, I like it. I think it's it's good, you know, both teams are just playing. I mean, the Knicks are playing great. But then again, they beat the Cavs, obviously, who weren't the greatest. They beat the Cigars. Now this is a tougher matchup for them. Like I say, they're the real physical type team. They're gonna Brunson, maybe Caps will be on them. You know, they got some guys that could try to put on the Brunson's has been incredible too. But I'm gonna probably go with the Spurs just because they got the home court, you know. And I I don't think, you know, the younger and they've not gonna be worried about the pressure of going to the garden and this and that and the other. They're just playing loose, they're playing having fun. And I just think Wempey could just leave X Factor. I don't think he really anybody could really guard guys. I don't know. I mean, you could put Cat on Doc, but I just don't know. This guy just moves all over the court. You see how he rebounds, he misses a shot. Next thing you know, he's dunking it in with his other hand. You know, five. He's bigger. Yeah, he's going over, guys. So, but I'm sure you know, Mike Brown, who by the way are old uh used to coach the Lakers, lived live near me out here, by the way. Somewhat the modern day. But Mike, Mike's done a good job there, man. You know, he's done a really good job there. Absolutely. He did really, really well. So it'll be it's a fun matchup. It's definitely got it's definitely got some juice. You know, oh yeah, absolutely. You got Wendy. So there's a lot to this one. It'll be very, very exciting to see what's gonna happen. But I'm I'm gonna go with the Spurs slightly. Well, I'm gonna go the other way, Michael, to make it interesting. I'm gonna say the Knicks in six because remember now, unlike most people think, I think the Knicks have a deep bench that Dibodeau didn't take advantage of when he coached the Knicks. Mike Brown has done wonders this year with that bench. Shamet, you know, and they got uh uh some of the other casts to come off the bench, and I think Shamet went off against Cleveland. But it here's the thing, OG Ananobi, as I referenced briefly, he he's the key. You can make army he was the most important Knicks uh during the uh during the Celtics series, not the Celtics, uh during the 76ers series, and then he had some moments in Cleveland, obviously. But I'm gonna take the Knicks in six because the bench is gonna help out uh you know Brunson. And he's not the only scorer now, uh, because I think Kat down low is gonna force Wimby to be down low with him. And I don't want Kat to be shooting three. This is where you get into trouble. I want Kat down low. I want uh Mitchell Robinson if he plays with a broken pink, I forget what he has, but they got some big people that can help out and and and bring Wimby down low and wear on him, just lean on him, you know. Cat has stayed out of foul trouble. Now that was a big thing after the Atlanta series because we the first three games, uh, we owned the Knicks. But since it ain't lost. And the margin of victory, Marlene, you have to give the Knicks credit for doing what they did. Just the margin of it. This ain't no overtime two-point buzzer beater Knicks. They've been gouging teams, they've been blowing them, routing them. So you gotta get respect with the business. And and they do have a bench. So I'm taking in the uh Knicks and six, and the marquee matchup is uh Brunson versus their guy, who's gonna protect Brunson, who's gonna guard him for San Antonio. They got young legs, Marlon and Mike. But Brunson is who he is in the clutch. You saw it over and over this year and last year. So I'm going there, and as I reference, OJ Ananobi is gonna have something to say uh going against uh their their three spot. You know what I'm saying? But go ahead. Yeah, I mean, and and it's Dylan Harper's been great, by the way. He's been incredible. That's right. Dylan Ron Harper's. Oh my God, he's been fantastic too. So it'll be fun. I I still remember when they gave Mikhail Bridges that that big deal, and uh he's he's making about 25 or so million a year. So I I think with him, he's gonna have to step up. Of course, you have a lot of great role players. Um, as you mentioned, Doc, Josh Hart, um, you know, Kat has to do his thing. It's it's gonna be tough. Like they have to throw different looks at him. Do you just let Wimby just get his and just try to guard everybody else? Because it's again, Mike, you you said it. He can he can do everything from you know three pointers, he's making half court shots, you know, just all that. He can do whatever he wants. So it's it's how how do you defend it? But I think with the Knicks like you people forget, they're on a week and two days rest. And and so there they're the rest of the ready to go. Brunson is uh last series. I know we didn't really talk too much about this, but whenever James Harden got switched on Brunson, uh it was it was a field day. He could do whatever he wanted to do with James Harden Artigo. So if they have any matchup issues uh with Brunson, which the the Spurs are a little younger, so for the most part, they can all defend pretty well, and you don't have somebody like a J. Harden on the team. Uh, but yeah, it's I I I do like the Knicks. I think this is the time for the Knicks. The Spurs are gonna be there, they're gonna be around, but I think this is the Knicks' time to win it. Um and and it's just being there in the garden would be insane. I know the ticket prices were freaking astronomical. Um, but no, yeah, absolutely, absolutely. So I I I'm taking I'm taking this team, definitely rooting for for Clarkston. Of course, he was he was a Laker for a little bit, uh Josh Hart as well. So um, yeah, rooting for him. I'm a huge fan of I I do feel like Mikhail Bridges has a chance to um potentially later in his career somewhat mold Kevin Durant and be somewhat like a Kevin Durant player. Um but yeah, you of course you have uh Brunson Cat. I I think this is their their time to time to shine, if you will, uh and and go ahead and take this win. This is this is the chance because here's the thing the Knicks aren't gonna be, when you think of next year, we don't know what's gonna what's gonna go on with Giannis and Milwaukee. Uh the Celtics are gonna be back, the Sixers are gonna be back, uh the Cavs, they have to get back. Let's say LeBron may go there, who knows? There, I don't know that they're gonna have another route to the finals as they did this year. So this is the year that they have to do it. Well, the Pacers too. with with the with with the boy. Because he took out he took off the whole year. Yeah. And and they got a high draft pick. So yeah, but to piggyback on what you're saying, man, game one is the key, gentlemen. And then they've still game one somehow, even if it's overtime, I think the Knicks are in they're they're they're in a driving seat, especially going back to the garden. It's been 53 years, you know, more than a lifetime for some people. But, you know, game one is the key and I don't think they're going to be rusty. We've been waiting on the Knicks. They've been housing everybody, sweeping everybody, you know, they came out in the Atlanta series and beat us, you know, so in game one that is. But they haven't lost and that something has to be said about that since that game three loss to Atlanta. They got the momentum historic. They got the momentum so far. Yeah, I know. I I I take a sense of pride in that too by my little old hawk. But uh it goes noted man the matchups that we just discussed. I like Castle, I like Vasel and I like some of the other casts. But uh I don't know if they're going to let Wimby has his because that could be a nightmark because he can he can pass the rock too. He can dish the rock. But you know I'm dependent on the Knicks big man. And like I said who's going to guard OJ Ananobi? And Bridges has been bringing it Marlon to be fair. So I'm taking the Knicks to win game one in some kind of way. And game two to the Spurs and then he goes to the Garden off that's a off. You know All right.

Stanley Cup Final Quick Preview

All right now Mike this is your time to shine we're leaning on you for some NHL preview. Obviously game one's going on right now. Game one's preview you don't want to hear Doc break down hockey I'll tell you that much but this is so what what what's your thoughts? We got the Knights and the hurricanes right now right now it's 4-3 uh Vegas uh in the in the third period so uh preview what were your thoughts right now you know for 4-3 4-3 Vegas yeah 4-3 four yeah you know well you know watching Vegas up close plays you know play my ducks you know I'm like they're scrappy right they're just kind of a tough team hard hitting team that kind of throw you off your game and you think you have them they come back the Ducks played them tough they got two games off yeah which got zipped that was a complete failure by the way sorry chat I mean I can't believe that the President's Cup right Doc the President's Cup trophy for the best record they haven't won the Stan team that has the best record in the regular season hasn't won the Stanley Cup I think since 2013. Is that crazy? It's like it doesn't mean anything and to to get swept though by Vegas that was something so they're very tough their goalie's good they got a lot of good players there. Carolina you know the the Kings have had they just been they just had a good thing going there right for the last what 10 years or so. Their crowds are intense. It's gonna be a very tough series I could see like the NBA finals I can see this one going all the way both ways. I'm gonna call I can see Vegas pulling off an upset. I don't know what it is I just have a just seeing how they play and they're really good on the road too because I know if they kill the Dutch twice like 13 to three in terms of total goal in two games in Anine but a whole different story playing the Keynes but I can see I can see Vegas doing it but it's going to be a tough series. They're very tough. That's fine well it'd be good it'll be good for the city of Vegas. Didn't they win it a couple of years ago too they won it once right Keynes won a couple years ago too that was their inaugural season that Vegas won in I remember that yep so they've been impressive. And they fired don't forget guys they fired their coach Cassidy with about what 10 games ago and they brought in Torch they call him Tortarelli. They brought that guy in the end of the year. Who does that? And look at them they're in the cup final the guy's weird because when they beat the Ducks guys he actually skipped the press conference after they won like why is he skipping the press conference you won. He got fined and they're gonna take a draft pick maybe I thought it was very strange behavior. But I think he was upset because the media they didn't like their questions after one of the games or something or another so he he's kind of an interesting guy. A little quirky but uh he has been playing very well no doubt about it. So we'll see if those knights could do it and you know their Elvis routine there when they have Elvis and knights are jousting on the ice before the game so it's a little hokey. But uh you know they're they got something going there in Vegas more than the Raiders doc. Right? Yeah Raider fans I mean they have the team now they got the A's coming in eventually so here you go you got three sports there maybe a basketball team too eventually that's a good point.

Lakers Future And LeBron Decision

Yeah to me not about hockey Marlon so but asked the question is what you're the show wants to go to know what the Lakers are going to do going forward in this flaunted Western conference. Where does LeBron go? Do you want LeBron back, Mike and Marlin? I'm hearing all kinds of things out here in LA the world wants to know which direction Palenka is going to bring this Flaunted franchise and a difficult Western conference. I want to hear from you guys being Lakers fans go um yeah I'll go ahead and start um I was wondering if we can get through this uh episode without talking some Lakers but here we are oh man I honestly uh I I think that it's uh time for a a new chapter um and and LeBron has had his chapters with you know Cavs Miami back to Cavs and then you know obviously Airfield and I think it's time for this next retirement chapter and I think it'll be a great story to end uh his book with going back to Cleveland in my opinion. I think that um Harden can learn a lot from LeBron and LeBron can maybe help uh you know Mitchell a little bit. I I think it would be good but of course his life is on the West Coast so uh I don't think it will happen. That's that's what I want to happen or or to see him maybe go play with Steph Curry or something like that because he's always talked about doing that. So um I think we need to move on this is now Lucas's time now and and I think that we should allow him to uh work with him he said he wants to keep Austin Reeves the only thing that I really hate is that Austin Reeves is going to make 35 to 40 million dollars so I'm not a huge fan of that but um yeah I want to do it Mike go on mute Mike so um Christ Mike we're trying to record here we're we're recording a thousand other people Mike you're killing me you're killing me Mike sorry so um so I I think well I wasn't done talking Mike that's thing you gotta you gotta you gotta keep up Michael so old age you've got to go for it oh no trust me I know yeah you uh by the way Mike had a birthday so Mike is now 78 78 78 so happy 78th birthday Michael give me a break belated brother the young one man yeah yeah doc is seven oh doc is 71 Mike is 78 um yeah so just know just just knowing that just just knowing that uh uh Austin Reeves is gonna make a lot of money I think this is time for for AR to you know well if we want to keep him fine whatever but let's let's let LeBron go let him go off and do his own thing and have his victory lap and and um uh yeah just move on so that that's that's what I wouldn't want so all right Michael unmute yourself and go ahead and talk away I will try to be better hey listen you know the whole you know I don't know the whole thing about LeBron guys let's say you know after they were playing very well right you had LeBron you had Luca in every in Austin it was a good deal we were winning games this and that and the other but then the guys went down Luca went down of course Austin went down doc and then we never got Luca back so we never got to see them all together right in the playoffs to see what could happen. And then you know it was all she wrote when we played we played the Thunder. So the Lakers I I don't know what the alternate plan is and if you know anything about the Lakers and the butt and even though the Butt family is really on the team anymore but jeans of all it's all about still branding and still in the seats and just you know the Lakers and the stardom and the star power whatever I think they're gonna try to bring LeBron back. I think they're gonna try to end it here, bring back all three, give another run. Don't be competitive, they're not gonna win it. But I don't know what the alternative is if they don't do that, right? And they're not gonna do a rebuild. The Lakers aren't getting into the rebuilding situation. So he played still played fairly well at the end of the year. You know, had a pretty good year. He had some very good games so I would think he'd end it but he's very hard to figure out like how much longer is he going to go? Does he want to go? I think he wants a retirement tour. He still got Bronny on the scene. Don't forget about Bronny. You know so I'm leaning towards he's gonna come back. Yeah that's a bad thing. Maybe because I don't know what else they got doc. I don't know what else the plan is if he leaves that's still a pretty good player to lose and I don't know that's that's a good point he doesn't want to take a pay cut and do you go after Giannis the Greek freak can you throw some money at Greek freak's way I know it has to be a trade do you gay up give up AR some picks or I don't know LeBron I don't know man. If you get these are the Lakers Marlon and Mike you're not used to being a fifth and sixth place in the West it'll be an attractive thing if you go out there and get the Greek freak man. So I'm just saying because what you got at the five spot now is pathetic atrocious I can go to Venice Beach and get somebody better than DeAndre Aiden and the other young guy. So you know I don't know I I just throw that throw that out there Mike Mike I'll let you go in a second but this is my biggest fear I don't want to make a move by satisfying LeBron for one year to set us back however many years. That's my that's that's my only thing. So I don't want to use AR's collateral to satisfy LeBron give him a contract and get some other average players in here to deal with the same situation that we're in. That's what my fear is probably what we're gonna do is I mean don't get me wrong AR is not a he's not a great player he's he's good he's not great but at this point what what do we have so if if so that that that's my thing I I want to I'm okay with I'm okay with LeBron. I I want to do right by him but I'm I'm not in the business of willing to give him 40 something million dollars this year. He's gotta take a pay credit not too bad. Exactly well that's a good point there's there's ex-Lakers all over the place you know we saw it in the postseason man Josh Hart's playing now Brandon Ingram and and he's he's developed his game you know Caruso and OKC all these were LeBron guys and he wanted them out and look at they're flourishing now you know the patience factor if you will wasn't there Brandon Ingram should still be a Lakers. Caruso should still be a Laker and uh you mentioned the reserve for the New York Knicks he should still be a Laker uh let alone Hart I don't know man that I'm I'm sick of him I'm like Twizy 52 million is too much you don't need the money for billionaire. But go ahead Mike I'm sorry no I gotcha I know we just gotta end it eventually sooner than later you know it's just we're just kind of kind of big flash but they like Giannis or something. Because you don't when the Lakers have won title great center great guard right will here right and magic Shaq and Kobe AD and LeBron it's a great duo you eat that great duo. Kalkason and Kobe yeah so the fine spot yeah that's the same so Giannis seems to fit the bill but I don't know but then again he's getting up there too so it's only 31 though 31 you know I don't know I don't know yeah I don't know I don't think they know and it's the last thing I got for you and that's a good this is good dialogue here man you you you want to shut it down you want to go to major league baseball it's the last thing I

got Mike I think you're only about seven or so games behind there's still chance there there you uh there's still hope for you guys it's not the end right it's only the beginning right now Mike yeah this is 110 games left 110 108 go ahead Mike Angels I've seen angel baseball you know doc all these years like you've seen all this this this is a low moment I mean this is terrible we got people at the stadium now sell the team chance of already tossing at him shirt people are just fed up with this product you know it's just too much now you know the minor leagues hasn't been developed he's not drafting the right guys not putting anything in the stadium stuff we got possums running around the damn stadium what are we doing wildlife you know in these works you know for the half air they just it's just um it's like a it's a terrible operation doesn't even send his announcers on the road radio guys he needs a cell I don't know if they can force him to do it but it's just a terrible situation in Anaheim as a you know Tanya and the Dodgers are flourishing even Marlon Padres are flourishing so it's it's pretty bad now but you know I'll I'll tune in see what's going on and definitely not sitting there you know expecting anything at this point from the Angels but um I root for you guys. Thank you thank you Mike the bet the Brays could they won today beat Toronto and oh we got the best record in baseball 41 and 20 I don't know if we could sustain can we sustain a 667 clip Marlon and Mike down the stretch uh kuna has gotten back from his injury of four homes four straight games five and four games and he had an RBI tonight but Matt Ocean and those guys I need more out of Riley Austin Riley but you know Michael Harris Michael Harris is underrated and bear in mind my catcher Drake uh he he he hasn't uh he has a play as I mean on the 10 and 15 day DL and he has major numbers so I'm I'm I'm hoping we can maintain this nine and a half game lead but I'm I'm also pulling for the Padres I want to hear from you Marlon relative to baseball I saw Tatis over the way to hit his first bomb where the hell he at you know you got to bring it man you only fired back I think five and a half I forget yeah we're gonna go ahead and we're we're close man we lost uh we lost tonight uh against the Phillies I've watched every second of that game and I was uh highly disappointed with the way we ended up losing that one but yeah Tatis is I think I think he just got thrown out uh again today so he's just he he has to get it together man he's he's our guy and we gotta we need more production more consistency from him without consistency from your star players what what do you do you need to prepare for the for the playoffs we're not even halfway there yet and we got guys getting kicked out not strong professionalism and uh you know just just not being consistent so you know doc I'm I'm a little frustrated with my team right now and um yeah it's it's it's get get us to the halfway mark turn it around because the last thing we need with the Dodgers with all the troubles that they're going through just turn it around because once when you turn it around and figure it out you're gonna be better because once the Dodgers find out a way to get it going and turn it on you know it's it's it's almost it's it's fourth leg right there and you they're just looking behind you and you're just playing catch up. So yeah man. Yeah well we all love Adam Sharon but I'm not so sure that the Yankees are going to overtake the Tampa Bay Rays. And I know it's baseball the Rays went on a five game losing streak they're only up by a game now on the Yankees but I ain't seen uh you know um Giancarlo Stanton in in months and of course you're dependent on Jerry Cole to stay healthy. He fished some good outings but I think Tampa Bay Rays Mike is in Marlon is going to win that division. And of course Seattle out on the West Coast they're on an eight game winning streak and the big thumper is not even playing he got hurt. They're on an eight game winning streak nobody's talking about the Mariners clayton Clayton and Seattle might be you know but be careful now before we anoint the Yankees American League tennis go ahead Mike Clayton Seattle oh please Doc please you know this guy he's called shining he's he just called shine to rip my angels or rip a team or rip somebody that's right that's right so no just talk about your team brother yeah yeah that's a good point but you know what you know the the Dodgers really bother me those mariners really bug me back about the Seattle team there's just a bad blood between the angels and the mariners it's kind of chippy over there. Doc they haven't been to a World Series only team that's been to the World Series I believe is the Mariners. So you know who they won 110 years ago didn't get there you know they got knocked off so yeah as long as they don't win I'm happy those mariners get beat somewhere along the line I I'm just fine with that. But uh yeah that's cool if it's a long season though you know two months in anything could happen to get out of the depth you know and unfortunately for uh yeah go ahead I you know uh I thought the teeth running into uh you know you can't make those base running errors or that saw rounding second and he got like you know trying to get back to second and got thrown out you can't have that if you're gonna try to win a division you can't have those kind of blunders you know you just gotta be smart on the path you gotta be smart run the ball and everything right so but you guys got two clubs that'll be there so that's it's a good thing. It's a long summer and it's it's nice to have a club that's doing well. So I'll l I'll live vicariously for you guys you know for the baseball. And then I'll just get to ramp training camp. And Marlon and then Mike in the National League real quick I think that's central Milwaukee Brewers is red hot and the Cubbies have taken a shit excuse my friends and we love champ. I don't know what the hell's happened to the Cubbies. The Pirates might overtake them with that pitching staff and oh uh O'Neill Cruz I was pulling for champs Cubbies but the Milwaukee Brewers if you don't know gentlemen they've been red hot I mean uh red hot so we'll we'll we'll leave it at that it's still 105 games left but go ahead Marlon absolutely that's uh that's all I got for you guys man you guys got anything else no no we covered everything yeah it got a little sticky for a minute but you know uh I can give it an Apollo uh topic there but we got it back on the track as they say.

Did you see that Marlon that is fantastic maybe maybe I can get you guys uh set up with like Adam and that way we you guys can I don't know whenever Adam takes off you guys can do a show and break down the the 1930 teams I've always said I've always said we should do that.
