Speaker 1:

Hello everybody, this is the Bullpup Podcast. My name is Fowler Adams, I'm Eddie Hoy and I'm Alice, and with us today is our special guest, mr Kurt Gammon.

Speaker 2:

Hey guys, hey, happy to be here.

Speaker 1:

Would you like to introduce yourself?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm a paraprofessional here at Hartwell Elementary and I do kindergarten, third, fourth and fifth grade, and I'm also a high school baseball coach.

Speaker 1:

Well, we're glad you're here. Let's get this one started with the joke of the day. Alice, what's your joke? What was the reporter doing at the ice cream shop? What was he doing? It's a sheep Getting the scoop. Why did the kid bring a ladder to school? I don't know why, because she wanted to go to high school. Alright, eddie, what's your joke? What kind of pillar can't hold up a building? I wonder what A caterpillar? Alright, mr Gammon.

Speaker 2:

What animal makes for the best baseball hitter?

Speaker 1:

What animal?

Speaker 2:

A bat.

Speaker 1:

Let's see what's going around in HES this week. Don't stop being drug and bully free. Wear hats On Tuesday. Hats off to being drug and bully free. Wear hats. On Wednesday it is wear neon and on Thursday it's Halloween and wear a costume to school. Book character parade starts at 8 30. Beta sponsored Halloween dance during connections and the cost is five dollars. On Friday wear orange and black to support Hart County against Franklin County. Third, fourth and fifth grade will have an author visit Tori Malinando. Mr Gammon, do you know who Tori Malinando is?

Speaker 2:

I don't, I don't.

Speaker 1:

Well, you'll get to meet him. Well, new topic today we are going to do who we have winning the World Series, since Mr Gammon is a baseball coach. Mr Gammon, who do you think is going to win the World Series the Dodgers or the Yankees?

Speaker 2:

Well, it's been fun watching both of them. This weekend the Dodgers went up two games to nothing, but they're going back to New York tonight, so I think the Yankees are going to come back and win the series.

Speaker 1:

I think the Dodgers are going to win back and win the series. I think the Dodgers are going to win because they're up 2-0. But also a weakness for the Dodgers is Shohei Otani is hurt. He's questionable to return for the game tonight. Eddie, what's your prediction? Well, I'm going to go with Fowler here, just because the Yankees and Aaron Judge is in a slump. So I think that with Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman on fire, that the Dodgers will pull it off. Alice, do you think the Dodgers or Yankees are going to win Dodgers? Do you think the Dodgers or Yankees are going to win Dodgers? Mr Gammon, how do you feel about?

Speaker 2:

the Braves not even getting into their divisional series Makes me a little upset, but we had a lot of setbacks this year with injuries and stuff of that nature. You know, and you can't control that stuff. So you know, next year we'll just hopefully that's exactly right. No use in crying over spilled milk, you know. So hopefully we'll sign Max Freed back next year and we'll be good to go for the 2025 season, I feel sad about the Braves not doing that well this year, because they're my favorite baseball team.

Speaker 1:

Good to know. Well, eddie, anything you got to add to that. Mr Gammon, you happy that the Crimson Tide put out a big win.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm actually very happy with their performance this past weekend. It's not been fun watching them the last few weekends as a Bama fan. It's not been fun watching them the last few weekends as a Bama fan watching their attitudes not be the best and not representing the school that well. It was nice to finally get back on that win column and hopefully that will start a trend upwards.

Speaker 1:

What do you think about Indiana going on a streak?

Speaker 2:

Honestly, I love the Indiana coach. I think he has a great mentality and I think he's going to end up taking them a long ways. I think they're a sleeper team this year.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of college football, I had not had the best Saturday. I mean it was my brother's birthday, but otherwise my favorite team, georgia Tech. They got a little swept by Virginia Tech. Just a little, not a little. Let's give a shout-out to Dylan's birthday. Yay, he is turning 14. Should we sing the happy birthday song? Three, two, one.

Speaker 3:

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Dylan. Happy birthday to you.

Speaker 1:

Thanks everybody. I really hope you like that. Well, today's topic is our favorite stores that we go to. My favorite store is probably Michael's, because my mommy went there and got some Harry Potter stickers and started putting them on my notes. Do you like Michael's because of that? Yeah, my favorite store is probably the store is called Better Baseball. It sells all the good baseball equipment. So, eddie, what's your favorite store? I gotta say the PGA Superstore, because it sells all the golf equipment that I need. Granddaddy probably goes there because he does golf at Petitchi and Miss Harris's son works there. Well, mr Gammon, what's your favorite store to go to?

Speaker 2:

My favorite store would probably be Academy Sports. I used to work there and so I kind of know some of the ins and outs and some deals over there and it has everything I need as an avid hunter and a baseball coach. I can get everything I need in one stop, so it's nice All right?

Speaker 1:

Well, thanks for sharing Mr Gammon. Everybody, right. Well, thanks for sharing mr gammon. Um everybody again, thanks for watching again. This is fowler, adams, eddie hoy and dallas. Wow, wow, wow and mr gammon well, everybody. See you next time. Leave a like and don't forget to subscribe bye. Leave a like.
