Ever wonder why snails aren't fans of fast food? Get ready for a chuckle as Alice, Fowler and Eddie kick off the Bullpup Podcast with some hilariously clever jokes that set the tone for a lighthearted but engaging episode. As laughter fades, the conversation shifts to college football, where we, along with Alice and Eddie, dissect Alabama's surprising loss to Michigan. We debate the prospects for teams like Clemson and Georgia Tech, while also sharing mixed predictions for the national championship—will it be Notre Dame, Ohio State, or perhaps a dark horse like Texas? Plus, there's a special shoutout to Tate Rutledge on his exciting leap into the NFL draft.

As we navigate through our podcast journey, we reminisce about our New Year's celebrations and resolutions, sharing heartwarming stories of family reunions and personal goals. Fowler touches hearts with the story of his grandfather's Christmas homecoming, and Alice dreams of mastering skateboarding while making the world a better place. We wrap up by highlighting upcoming events at HES, notably the much-anticipated STEAM Olympiad. It's a blend of humor, sports insights, and personal aspirations that promises to leave you both entertained and inspired. Tune in, laugh along, and join us on this delightful ride!

Speaker 1:

Hello everybody. This is the Bullpup Podcast. My name is Fowler Adams, I'm Eddie Hoy and I'm Alice Wong. Let's get this one started with the joke of the day. Alice, what's your joke? Where do baby cats learn to swim in the pool? In the kitty pool? Good one, alice. Which of the 50 US states sounds like it's the cleanest? Which one? Washington? Eddie? What's your joke? Why do some people eat snails? Why do some people eat snails? Why do some people eat snails? They don't enjoy fast food.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about college football. Um, alice, what are your thoughts on the Alabama loss to Michigan in their bowl game? Why did Alabama lose? Fowler, how's Tech feeling after the loss? I don't know How's Clemson feeling after the loss? I don't know How's Clemson feeling after the loss, feeling good. Cade Klumnik coming back to Clemson for another season Well, that's good. But Georgia Tech they have pretty much most everybody's coming back. I know Eric Singleton Jr, which is our wide receiver. He left into the transfer portal. But Haynes King and Jamal Haynes and everybody else think they're staying. But Ms Gaines, how do you feel, ms Gaines, how do you feel?

Speaker 2:

Well, we were very, very disappointed last week with George's loss. And then, of course, we got more sad news when we opened up a letter from Tate Rutledge and Tate declared he was going to the NFL draft. So we'll be very sad to see Tate leave, but we're excited for him to be going to the NFL draft. So we'll be very sad to see Tate leave, but we're excited for him to be going to the NFL draft.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, what's your national championship prediction. I Notre Dame, mine is Notre Dame, signing.

Speaker 2:

Irish Go Irish.

Speaker 1:

I have Penn State winning, but I do not want Penn State to win. I would like Texas to win Horns down. I don't think they stand a chance to get.

Speaker 2:

Ohio State, me either. Yeah, go Ohio State.

Speaker 1:

All right, moving to our topic today, what we did over New Year's, or what our New Year's resolution is going to be. Fowler, you want to start? Yep, I think I'm going to do what I did over New Year's. On New Year's Eve, we stayed at my friend's house Eddie was there too and we just sat there and we chilled out, and then at 12 o'clock, we I ran, me and Eddie and my brother and everybody else there well, the kids there ran around the house one time and then we made our first basketball hoop and we caught our first football. So I had a fun time. But, alice, would you like to share what you did? Well, some of my goals I might do for this year is learn to ride a skateboard and make the world a better place, and you should make the world a better place too. Thanks for sharing, alice. Eddie, would you like to share? I'd like to share both my resolution and my things I did over break. Over break, we went to see my grandpa and my grandma in Wisconsin and that was really fun.

Speaker 1:

And then over New Year's we, like Fowler said, went to a friend's house and ran around and was crazy. And then my New Year's resolution is to read the New Testament of the Bible and, if I finish that, read the Old Testament Also. I would like to share that. My pop pop oh, he came home from the hospital on christmas and he said it was the best christmas gift he ever got. So I would just like to share that. What was your favorite christmas present? Mine was probably getting to see my pop pop come home from the hospital on christ, Alice. What was yours? Well, I like to go to my house and see my grandparents and I love hanging out with my cousins, so I'm very happy I got to see them. I was happy to both see my grandparents and we got to see my mom's sister's family for the first time in two years.

Speaker 1:
