Erin
Speaker 1:

Hello everybody, this is the Bullpup Podcast. I'm Fowler Adams, I'm Eddie Hoy and I'm Alice and I'm Erin Gaines. Let's get this one started with the joke of the day. Alice, what looks just like half a loaf of bread? What? The other half of that loaf of bread? Fowler, why did the football leave the field during the game? Why, it was tired of being kicked around. Fowler, miss Gaines, which king loved fractions? Which king? Henry VIII, henry VIII. My joke is why didn't the teddy bear eat dessert? Why, because it was already stuffed. Because it was already stuffed.

Speaker 1:

Alright, let's move into our topic today, which is ASMR, which, if you don't know what ASMR means, it is your satisfying sound ASMR, this or this, this, miss Gaines, my satisfying sound is this Fowler, my satisfying sound is this Eddie, eddie, mine is this? All right, let's talk about NFL, all right. So last week, we told our predictions for the Super Bowl. I believe yes. So this week, I'm going to explain why. So I think the Eagles are going to win the Super Bowl because I think Saquon Barkley is going to have his best game of the season. Yet, miss Gaines, what is your example? I'm going Chiefs, but why? But why? Travis plays for him. Get out, get out, get out. Taylor Swift isn't on the Chiefs, so why are we cheering for the Chiefs? Get out, meikle. Okay, we'll accept that. Meikle Hardman, we'll accept that. We'll accept that. I mean, did you know my friend named London? Her cousin is Meikle Hardman? We'll accept that, we'll accept that. I mean, did you know my friend named London? Her cousin is Meikle Hardman? Mm-hmm, that is true. All right, alice, didn't you want the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl? Yeah, chiefs. Why do you want the Chiefs to win? Because Taylor Swift likes the Chiefs. Eddie, eddie, eddie. Yes, who do you think is going to win? Eagles All day, every day? Why? Because it's going to surprise some people, but their defense is locked down, yep, and Jalen Hurts is going to lock in. Are y'all going to be mad next Monday when you come in and you have to say, miss Gaines, the Chiefs won? I guess we'll never know. I guess we won't ever do that. I guess we'll have to see. All right, so what I want to talk about is NBA.

Speaker 1:

A couple of trades happened, so I want to share one, probably the biggest one gets Luka Doncic on the Mavs, gets traded to the Lakers for Anthony Davis and the first round pick in 2029. Other people involved was Max Christie to the Mavs, and then the third team involved was the Jazz, which they won't get a secondround pick in a Lakers player. All right, I would have not accepted that trade, would you, eddie? No, because of one reason, and it's because you take away a superstar like Luka Doncic, who's younger than Anthony Davis. So you have Luka longer than Davis and Luka is better than Davis, and there'll probably be nobody in the 2029 draft class. That will be a stud. There could be, but yeah, but Cooper Flagg would have probably already been in the draft by then, wouldn't you say so? Yeah, so he'll be a sophomore next year, in 2026, then a junior in 2027, and then a senior in 2028. So the latest he can go is 2028. So they'll miss out on him. I think they should have asked for 2028 or 2027 to at least get a good player.

Speaker 1:

The other one happened last night around seven o'clock. The sacramento kings traded dearon fox to the spurs. Um, it was a three-team deal. The bulls, zach levine, is now a king, and then the third team was the spurs and they gave away a couple players and some draft picks. Well, everybody, thanks for listening Again.
