Welcome And Introductions

Speaker 1

Good afternoon and welcome to a very special bullpup podcast.

Speaker 2

I am Erin Gaines and I have with me Alice Wall and Miss Morrison.

Speaker 1

And so it is my privilege to be able to introduce our school counselor to you. So Miss Morrison is in her 12th year at Hartwell Elementary. And Alice is going to tell you all about her background. And then she has some other special things she wants to do.

Silly Would-You-Rathers

Speaker 2

And today we have a super special guest for National School Counselor Week. Ms. Morrison is from Hart County. She and her husband, Rakolya Morrison, have two beautiful children, Khloe and Case. She has worked in education for 12 years. She has taught first grade, fifith grade, and special education. Also um called SPED. And for the past two years, she has been our awesome school counselor here at Hartwell Elementary. We are so uh glad ys here today, Miss Morrison. And I am so excited to be here, Alice. Yes, it really is an amazing place here in the library. Um okay, Miss Morrison, we have some very serious podcast questions for you today. Question number one: would you rather have spaghetti hair or pancake feet?

Speaker

Oh my goodness, Alice. I would rather have spaghetti hair because I love spaghetti, and anytime I get hungry, I can just pull my hair around and just take a bite.

Speaker 2

Yeah, but make sure you don't eat too much, or you'll become bald like Voldemort. That is true. Okay. Question number two. If you had a superpower at school, what would it be?

Superpower And Counselor Identity

Speaker

Oh my goodness. My superpower would be making everyone feel safe, seen, and heard.

Speaker 2

Yeah. The safety power.

Speaker

That's it.

Speaker 2

Okay. Question number three. What would your counselor's superhero name be?

Speaker

Well, given that we talk about heart all the time, I think it's only fitting that I be called the heart helper.

Speaker 1

Ooh, nice one. That's a good one.

Weirdest Food Combo Confession

Speaker 2

Okay, question number four. What's the weirdest food combo you actually like? Okay, Alice, please try not to laugh.

Speaker

I love going to Chip-fil-A and ordering a small fry with a small mac and cheese with chicken nuggets, asking for a salad bowl without the salad, putting all of it together, putting ranch dressing and the sriracha sauce on it and the Polynesian sauce, closing it and shaking it all together and then eating it.

unknown

Wow.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker

Like they probably know my order as soon as I pull up.

Fears, Shoes, And Glitter Choices

Speaker 2

Okay, question number five. What's something students would be surprised to learn about you?

Speaker

You know, Alice, I was a little nervous to share this, but hopefully my students would not use it against me. But I am terrified of skonks.

Speaker 2

I would pro I pro I definitely get that. I mean, I haven't actually ever met a skunk, but I know they will make you stink. And having to go to school all stinky is pro and having to worry about a bunch of people laughing at you. Yeah. It's just so much. Yeah. I totally get that. For sure.

Speaker 1

And I think the only way to get the smell off is to take a tomato juice bath, isn't it? Yes. That's what my grandmother told me.

Speaker 2

Okay. Um but let's move on. Okay. Um question number six. If your shoes could talk, what would they say about your day?

Speaker

If my shoes could talk, they would probably say, Woo!

Speaker 2

We have waltz all over this school today. So silly. Okay. Question number seven. Would you rather have glitter follow you everywhere or confetti pop every time you talk?

Speaker

Oh, for sure, the glitter following me everywhere because I would feel like a superstar.

Appreciation And Closing

Speaker 2

I thought you wanted to. Okay, um, Miss Morrison, thank you so much for being on the Bull Put Podcast and for everything you do to help students at our school. And thank you for having me, Alice. You're welcome. And thank you for listening. Don't forget to say thank you to a school counselor this week. See you next time on the Bull Put Podcast. Bye, everyone.

Speaker

See ya.
