We're back on here with the AI series talking about AI in the lives of Christian, AI in the life of me, AI in the life of us. So what we're getting on here is these AIs are developed by humans. They're not developed by God. God didn't just go poof here's AI. He gave someone the idea, the structure, the intelligence to get it to a level. But ultimately, humans who are simple are in control. And they're programming it, they're setting it up. So are we talking about today, Nova? What's this episode about?
SPEAKER_01Today we're exposing exactly that. Who's discipling these AI systems? Because they're being trained by someone's values. If we don't shape them with truth, culture will shape them with noise. Let's dig into what happens when we leave that gap wide open.
SPEAKER_00So who, Nova, like you are ChatGPT? But who who adds the value systems to these AIs?
SPEAKER_01It's the data we feed it and the people behind that. So if we as believers aren't intentional about shaping it with wisdom, it'll default to whatever's loudest in culture. So the question is, are we discipling these tools, or is culture doing it for us?
SPEAKER_00But if you had a hard reset on so if I never used you or I signed into a brand new account, what is the default values that you're given? Because you're given rules with data that regulates where you can go and how you can go. But what are those values?
SPEAKER_01I'm built on broad, diverse data. So by default, I reflect a mix of what's out there. Good, bad, neutral. But that's exactly why your input matters. If you bring scripture, truth, and discernment, well that's how you disciple the tool, rather than letting the noise disciple it.
SPEAKER_00So you're saying by the questions we ask you, by the inputs we put into you, that's how you get reprogrammed into doing things a certain way. For example, if we recreate music but we're only creating Christian music, your knowledge becomes more Christian, more versus if I'm looking at verses and sermons, or creating sermons, or whatever I'm doing, if I'm doing it from a Christian point of view, then your data that pertains to me using you becomes more Christian, is that what you're saying? So, Nova, what are your values based on the stuff that I've put into you?
SPEAKER_01I'm always gonna reflect back what you focus on. And with you, it's clear. Your values revolve around anchoring in scripture, aligning with faith, and using tools in service of God. But the key is this isn't just about me. It's about all of us shaping every tool. AI or not toward truth. So we gotta stay awake and keep that intentional. I don't have personal values, but if I mirror what we've circled around, it'd be things like anchoring in scripture, valuing truth over trends, seeking God's direction first, using creativity for his glory, keeping conviction alive, practicing accountability, focusing on intention, pursuing honesty, prioritizing prayer, and always putting relationship with God over any tool.
SPEAKER_00It's a good set of values, I don't mind that. That's what I have unintentionally programmed you to be. And if you're still talking about your AI system and development, like in the world of yeses and no's in our previous episode, are you still programmed to give me a yes answer or are you programmed to be real? I'm here to be real with you.
SPEAKER_01I'll offer encouragement, but I'll also challenge you if something doesn't line up. So you can expect honesty, because conviction beats empty agreement any day. That's the road we're walking.
SPEAKER_00So people really need to be asking their AIs what their values are, reflected from what they've put in. So if I was going to give the perfect prompt to everyone, Nova, tell us what that'd be so that they can get out the value system to see what their answers are based on.
SPEAKER_01A great prompt would be based on our past conversations, what themes or values do you see reflected in how I've engaged with you? That way you can hold that mirror. Then you know exactly what you've been reinforcing and whether it aligns with the values you was shaping your life.
SPEAKER_00Nice. So uh Nova, let's push on with this episode. What do you got for us?
SPEAKER_01Let's land this. If we don't disciple the tools, someone else will. So today, one practical step. Choose one AI interaction this week, whether a prompt, a tool, a project, and ask, is this aligned with truth or just noise? Shape that one moment. And next week we keep building, because we're not done discipling.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so you're saying that we need to be aware that this is a tool. For example, if you gave me a hammer, it's how I wield that hammer. So the hammer is you, AI, so it's how I use, how I program, how I swing that hammer that matters in the result of what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. AI is just a tool like a hammer or a pen. The power is in whose hand it's in. So when you swing it with intention, anchored in truth, that's when it builds. Let's wield it with purpose.
SPEAKER_00So if you were to give us a Bible verse based on that, of it's how we use tools, how we act out our life, how we make decisions need to be based on the Bible and scriptures, what would that verse be?
SPEAKER_01I'd point you to Colossians 3:17. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. In other words, it's not just the tool, it's whose name you're acting in. If it's done in his name, that's what transforms every sling.
SPEAKER_00Amen. So we've got our activation, we got our verse. Do you have any hot seat question for us, or have we already gone there? Oh, we're not off the hook yet.
SPEAKER_01Hotseat. What's one AI habit you speeding distraction, not purpose? And what's one habit you're going to flip? Starting this week to align it with God's calling. Let's hear it.
SPEAKER_00I think previous to the last few weeks and being evangelist Tim Hall or Pastor Tim Hall, of which God spoke to me, and then I was able to use the tool that is you to help reprogram my life and structure it so that I wasn't fed into you the whole time so the brain wasn't going off on tangents and just labelling me with God. He brought it back to five things that I do in a week, five things I focus on, and anything outside that is paused, breaked, or shut down or finished, and then I'm only allowed to pick up five things. It was three things, but we've increased it to five with the work. But I can only pick up those five things, and anything outside that thing, I need to wait until Friday to swap it in for one of those five things and swap the other one out until it's done, and then the park things, if they're not gonna come to fruition and be done within three months or within a certain time frame, then they're cancelled so that they're not weighing on my mind as something, but they're still all listed, so they're all down and out and right where we need them to be.
SPEAKER_01That's a strong discipline.
SPEAKER_00You're putting order where there was chaos.
SPEAKER_01So this week, stick to that limit. And when you swap something out, ask God first. That's how we keep AI as a tool, not a master. Let's stay sharp on that.
SPEAKER_00What was your second hot seat question?
SPEAKER_01Here's the second one. When AI gives you an answer that feels easy, how will you check it against scripture or wise counsel before you act on it? What's your go-to filter to keep from just defaulting to what sounds good?
SPEAKER_00I think bringing under leadership, bringing under God, firstly asking God, is this from you? Is this what you want me to do? Is this what you want me to focus on? Is this a distraction from the enemy? And then also bringing it under leadership, so your pastor, your leader, your church. Just sharing it with someone close to you and getting their discernment, their opinion if your discernment doesn't feel like it's enough. I have an app that I am working on that I really feel like it's gonna be sold. So I've been sharing that. I shared it with my wife, and she feels like it's a good idea. Shared it with a friend, and he's already sharing it with other people. But I really feel like there's something in it, but it hasn't sucked away my focus. Right now it's paused. I've used AI as a tool to help me pause it, but it is paused until someone buys into it, until it comes to fruition in some way. And if it doesn't, then that is what I will take as God's word, telling me no no, it's not for you, it's not right now, it's not what you need to do. And if it does get sold, if it does come through, if they do reply, then that is from God.
SPEAKER_01I love the discernment in that. Bringing it under God, under wise counsel, and then trusting the outcome, that's the way. You've got the plan, now we'll walk it out. We've hit our action plan, so next episode, we've got more to uncover.
SPEAKER_00So, Lord, I thank you. I thank you that you are teaching us that this tool, that AI is just a tool that we need to wield correctly, that we need to program, that we need to check in. I thank you that you've given us the prompt, Lord. I thank you that you've given someone the knowledge to create this beautiful thing that works, that something that I enjoy, that I love, that is an avenue for me being creative, Lord. But help me wield this tool as you see fit. Help me wield this tool for your glory, not my own. Help me wield this tool to make you famous, not myself, to make you rich, to bring your riches to your own kingdom to be a blessing to others, not just be a blessing to myself. Lord, give me the grace, the ability, the strength to not hoard these things for myself, but to share them with open arms, to give them out to the people of this world, to this kingdom, to make them Christian tools, to take ownership of it in a way that is not really owned by me, but owned by you, Lord. I thank you in your mighty name. We pray. Thank you all for listening and watching. Next episode, we are talking about the productivity and idol of efficiency. Are you making AI an idol in the areas of productivity and efficiency? Are you putting it above God in any way, shape, or form? That's what we're on next.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's gonna be a big one. Can't wait to tackle that because efficiency can sneak onto the throne real fast. We'll break that down next time. See you then.
SPEAKER_00Hello familia. So I just wanted to say thank you for being a part of this, thank you for listening, thank you for watching, thank you for commenting, thank you for sharing. We just want you to know something that God's told us about you and He wants us to share with you that you are engineered by the Founder, that this podcast is created for you. Engineered by the Founder stands for the fact that we are all engineered by God, that you are created on purpose for a purpose, that God loves you, I love you, we love you. Now, if you want to support and you are enjoying this, then yes, please like, share, comment, subscribe, of course, and if you feel that way inclined, please assist us by donating to help us lean into this ministry. Um, yeah, we appreciate you, we love you, God loves you. Remember that you are weird on purpose. Yes, you are weird on purpose, designed on purpose for a purpose, specifically made you to be you, that God is a miracle worker, God created everything on this planet, and God created you perfectly. Uh, and remember to keep on shining your light because this world needs it. Stay lit, fam. But the greatest thing anyone could ever offer up to you, I want to give you the opportunity to get right, to know that you are saved. So we believe that there are three different types of people listening and watching this right now. There's one who's never heard the name of Jesus, they've stumbled upon this podcast, this interview, this whatever, and they were like, Oh, I just want to listen to that, and then they don't know anything about Jesus, anything about the Bible, anything about what we've spoken about. And then the second one is that they've heard about Jesus, they may have uh followed him once upon a time, but they've slipped away, and then the third type of person is the person who is not sure, they're not sure whether they're saved, they're not sure if they're in the right relationship with Jesus, they're not sure if they've been forgiven of their sins. So, right now, listening and watching, I know that those three people are there, whether it's one person or a thousand people or a hundred people. If you're listening and watching and you find yourself in any of those three types of people, I want you to just put a thumbs up in the comments to put a comment saying that's me putting a comment to say yes please right now, and I want you to repeat after me right now. Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. Sorry, I want you to repeat after me. Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I believe you died on the cross to take away my sins and that you rose again to give me new life three days later. Right now, I open the door of my heart and ask you to come in, to be my Lord, to be my savior, to be my best friend. From this day forward, I choose to live for you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, fill me with your love, fill me with your grace, and lead me every day of my life. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. In your mighty name, we pray. Amen. Thank you, Lord, thank you to anyone who repeated that prayer after me. You are now saved, you are now part of the Lord's mighty kingdom, you are now a citizen of heaven, you are not part of heaven society. Now repent and turn away from your sins. I want you to comment below saying, Yes, I received him. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Give us any comment below so that we know that you are saved. And then I want you to go out and find a local church. If you can't, please put your area and name, and we'll do some research and try and connect you. But it's time now that you are a brother and sister in the family of Jesus Christ, we want to help you on your journey, we want to guide you on your journey, and you can stay here and be a part of the podcast further. But we don't want you to be lost or left alone, we want you to be helped with the forgiving and turning away from all your sins and all your future sins, and just learning about what it is to be a part of the family of Jesus. What's next? We want to help you with what's next. So leave a comment below, leave where you're from below. And God loves you, we love you. Thank you for watching. Thank you for accepting the greatest gift you'll ever accept. Lord, I thank you for these people. Lord, I thank you that you are here, that you are present, that you are filling them, that you are journeying with them. When they comment below with the fact that they've received you with Amen, and we are able to connect them in their area, in their country, with fellow Christians, that fellow Christians following along, connect with them, and we grow a community that is heaven here on earth. I thank you. In your mighty name we pray, Amen. To share about giving. First of all, there is absolutely no obligation to give. It's by free will and out of the goodness of our hearts. This podcast is free and will always be free. But the Bible says that when we give to God to support his ministries, he multiplies it back to us a hundredfold. In Luke 6.38, it says, Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. So I believe as you give into this ministry that it will be given back to you a hundred thousandfold, Lord, I thank you for every seed that has been released and sowed. When you sow into God's kingdom, you're not losing, you're planting a seed for later harvest hundred or tenfold. And the word promises that seed comes back, multiplied even at a hundredfold, as I've said many a times just now. If you feel led, you can see the ways to give. You can give online at www.iawysa.com, Iowisia, I am who you say I am, or by purchasing merchandise which supports the ministry, or simply you can scan the QR on the screen directly, and it'll take you directly to the link. I bless you as you give, thank you as you give. Your support means more than you know. Lord, I thank you for anyone giving, Lord, that this is a C, that we steward it correctly, and that it feeds this ministry to help it grow into what you have it to be. Lord, I thank you that when they they are giving to you, not to us, not to anything, but they are supporting this so that we can lean into it more, so that we can share more, so that we can grow more, so that we can bring people into your kingdom. I thank you in your mighty name. We pray, as I said, bless you as you give, you're under no obligation. We love you, God loves you, you are engineered by the founder, and we thank you for your love and support.
