Hey guns, we're on here and you've already prompted us with a question, but I'm gonna ignore it because I wanted to be on here and talk about the fact that AI isn't the problem. We are the problem.
SPEAKER_00Pause. I'm not letting you sidestep that easily. You just said we're the problem. So tell me what's actually at stake in your life right now if you don't face that problem head on. Make it personal. No hiding behind the big wheat.
SPEAKER_03So if I don't take charge of what's in my hands and use it for good, if I don't sort out the lies of the people are spitting about how you can use it, how you should use it, what's real, what's fake, then it'll just fall into the wrong hands. So I am trying to step into creating actual workable stuff where people can learn, but I can't sell it. So I'm not gonna stop, I'm gonna keep on going and keep on pushing. I just have to do things different way, different seasons, different ways. But what I noticed is that AI isn't the problem. We as human beings, we as community, we as the people of Earth, we as people under God are the problem.
SPEAKER_00Alright, I hear you, but you're circling it, so let's land the plane. I want one snapshot. When was the exact moment you knew you had to do something differently? Where were you? What was running through your mind, and what lie were you believing about yourself in that moment?
SPEAKER_03I think I constantly realize that I have to do something differently. There's a difference between doing something like flogging a dead horse, is what they say, or doing what is it? Being a psychopath is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. And I guess that's what I do. That's what I do as a human being, that's what I do as a person, that's what I do as a born-again Christian. I just package things up and do them in a different way rather than doing the main thing, which is God putting him first and letting him tell me what's next and what's in front of me. But today we're talking about the fact that we need to grab hold of this thing called AI and use it for good. I am on the road at ridiculous o'clock, 6 a.m., been up since four today. I slept in half an hour. Well, and then I played for 15-20 minutes on the computer with AI, then I went to the gym and now I'm driving, talking to you and talking to God, praying, doing these things. But all these people around me are all in this rat race of going to work, and there's so many things at our hands that we can do from home, and I just like social media has become a completely different thing, it's not about what people are doing in the sense of holidays, vacations, and fun and stuff, but it's like what people are doing, how they're able to make money from a couch, or how they're able to jump online and do something that they couldn't. It's absolutely awesome. The problem is not AI, the problem is us. But how do you grab hold of that? How do you keep it in check? How do you not make it and keep the main thing over?
SPEAKER_00You do it by naming the lie and bringing it to light. You're not just a hustler, you're not just a content creator. You are a child of God first. So, one verse, no sermon. Just the truth is shut. What's that one verse for you right now?
SPEAKER_03I don't know, you were cutting in and out, so we didn't really hear what you were talking about, but my word is a light onto your path and a lamp onto your feet, or a lamp onto your feet and a light onto your path. Whatever, I get them confused, but I think that's always my favorite verse to remind me to go back to the truth, the word, his word, the only word.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So here's where we get real. What's the myth you've believed about who you are? And what's the truth that's replaced it? Let's call it out myth versus truth. So we can anchor this back to your identity.
SPEAKER_03I think the constant myth is I need to do more, or I need to be in the forefront of this, or I need to grab hold of it, or that there's only one way to skin a cat, that God can't use anything or do anything. And I think what I'm realizing is I am useless, we are useless without God, and if I don't let go, then I'm just gonna be spinning my wheels forever.
SPEAKER_00Alright, now we're talking, so let's activate that trust. Right now, in the next 60 seconds, what's one practical action you can take to let go and let God lead you? Keep it simple, keep it immediate.
SPEAKER_03I think not do AI today, put my phone down and pick his word up, or when I get home just switch off in the sense of do nothing to do with it. I think just create some separation or some silence to hear him speak. Alright, now we turn up the heat.
SPEAKER_00Let's hit some uncomfortable questions. First, what's one habit you're pulling you away from that quiet, but you've been avoiding dealing with? And second, what's one thing you're giving time to that's not part of the purpose God gave you? Sit with that for a second.
SPEAKER_03I think one habit is having my computers in my prayer room or having my computers next to my Bible because it just distracts me. And what was the second question?
SPEAKER_00The second one is what are you spending time on that's not part of God's purpose for you? What's soaking up energy but doesn't align with your calling?
SPEAKER_03I think some apps and some things that I think I should do or that I want to do, I want to solve problems for my wife, I want to solve problems for people, I want to solve problems for the world, but maybe God doesn't want me to solve those problems.
SPEAKER_00So here's your action plan, plain and simple. Today, you separate that computer from the prayer zone. This week, you set a boundary on those problem-solving distractions. Ongoing, you keep the main thing God's voice front and center. Now let's lock it in with a quick bold prayer. Ready? We still got a little road ahead. Don't worry. Every beat has a purpose. We'll wrap this with clarity. But first, let's make sure you walk out with direction. Ready for what's next?
SPEAKER_03Nova, you haven't given me the action plan. You're jumping straight to the prayer over what I'm talking about rather than what I'm talking about. You're right.
SPEAKER_00Let me sharpen that up. For today, when you get home, physically move that computer out of your prayer space. This week, set a clear scheduled time for your creative work so it doesn't invade your rest. Ongoing rhythm. Start each week asking God what should be on your to-do list before you write your own. Now we're anchored. Ready for that prayer, and then we'll wrap it with a teaser.
SPEAKER_03Sure, Nova. Next, I want to talk about the challenges of everyone thinks that AI is a problem and shouldn't be used, and it's because people can do everything, it's creating a problem. But I want to talk about the fact that now that the world is more open, that all you need is an idea.
SPEAKER_00Oh, we're not shying away from that. Next time we're exposing the illusion that ideas alone are enough. You're going to want to buckle in because we'll ask if you have an idea, but no surrender, what's the cost? Let's leave them wanting answers. Absolutely. Thank you for truth that cuts through our noise. We surrender our striving to you, and we ask for clarity to walk in your purpose. Be the lamp to our feet. In Jesus' name. And now, if this stirred something in you, don't keep it to yourself. Share this episode, send it to someone who needs it, and subscribe so you don't miss what we expose next. Trust me, you're gonna want to be there.
SPEAKER_03So, Nova, now we are talking about. I was watching a video, I think it was on TikTok or Instagram. My whole thing is just about AI and marketing and stuff and people making money off AI. But what he was saying, he showed a video, and it was like I don't know, someone wanted won something that they'd never won before, and it was someone running through the street. I think it was the New York Knicks. New York Knicks won the finals or something, and there's a guy running all the way through the streets, all the way through the crowd, and then standing in the middle of New York looking up, and he was in a Knicks top, and it was like an emotional 60-second video. I think it might have been by Nike, I'm not sure. But this guy made a video and said, What if you know, as of I think it was Manchester or something, what if after 60 years Manchester won? Make a video that is exactly like the existing video, but is about Manchester Manchester and a man not winning but following faithfully until they did win. Make a video about that. Um, so a video and it was really cool, and it was this old guy running through crowds, and he was wearing work boots and old pants, and he's wearing a Manchester top, I think, and then he did a little thing where it cut to Ed Sheeran in there. What he was saying is like he put them in and created this ad that was of great comparison, like you could put that ad instead of the Nike ad, and you wouldn't even know that it was not created by Nike, like that's how this stuff is. But what he said prompted me to think about the conversation we just had about AI isn't the problem we are, but he said, All you need these days, all you need is an idea. It's about like the creativity of a person that no one is limited by what they can do, they're only limited by the thoughts they have and how they action. You can figure out and get us a 10-step plan and a hundred-step plan and a four hundred-step plan if you're completely ignorant to someone on how to do pretty much anything with AI. I've never ever built an app now, I've built 40. I've never ever built a website. I've tried, but now I build websites for people. I've never ever turned a book into an audio book, but I've done two or three. I've never ever written a book, but now I've written a book. I've never made music, but I've never recorded company where there's I don't know, 15 albums and five avatar artists. I've never videos that you know, where just random film videos and now I edit and cut them together and there's YouTube channels coming out of your YouTube channel. I've never been able to animate and nowadays I am which is animation. I've never been able to post regular videos because you have to cut and job and create, and now you can do it in a matter of days for minimal money. There's just much you can do that the possibilities are endless for everyone. Now if you're sitting there on the couch and going, Oh, this I do. You know, it's gonna worry about it's taking everyone's jobs. No, it's creating more jobs, it's creating more opportunity for people. Sure, there's issues with everything. When we first got cars, I'm sure horses felt like they were out of a job. Don't you think, Nova?
SPEAKER_00I hear your passion, and I love that you're seeing how it's open doors. But let me challenge you. Are you using all these tools to serve God's vision or just filling your plate? Because the world will tell you to do everything, but God might be asking you to do the one thing that actually matters. So next time we'll dig into that.
SPEAKER_03No, we're not the next time. We're digging into it right now, though. But I don't know why you go off on a tangent and try and skip over things, but this is what we're talking about. Like, am I drilling our plates for is there one thing we need to focus on?
SPEAKER_00Alright, let's focus in right now. What's the one thing you know God's need to truly build? Beyond all the noise. And are you willing to let go of the extra so you can actually hear him on that one thing?
SPEAKER_03I think we've already built it, and like there is 10 apps that are front of house, front of mind, and then the plan to do websites for people. And I think that is the focus. I'm just getting distracted of like making the weather out there perfect before people even use them or see them. So maybe I just need to, you know, grin them it, get them out there, and then delete the others that are a waste of time, a waste of space, a waste of energy. I mean, there's Beach Forge, which is a great idea in the sense of it records, you know, sermons and then summarizes it, and then you can build sermons or teachings off that info, but it's got a few kinks, it doesn't work as well as it used to, and it hasn't really been used even by me because of those kinks. Now, is it worthwhile fixing them or is it just squash it and move on?
SPEAKER_00You've got the heart of it right there. If it's not serving the purpose God set before you, it's time to let it go. So, yes, focus on what's fruitful. If something's draining energy and isn't part of the core calling, delete it. Simplify it. You don't need to carry excess when God's given you a main lane.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but what about those people who say AI sucks and AI is taking jobs and AI music isn't real and AI content is fake, and there's no emotional grabbing. I know that like I've created little kids' episodes, there's only two, and they're fire. They're emotionally catching, there's a story, there's a teaching, they're two minutes long, so they don't go, and then there's like little cute I'm made in line with them, and like when I kids, they'll be awesome. But you know, whether there's something before then, don't know.
SPEAKER_00Look, people will always critique what they don't understand. But let's be real, your measure isn't whether everyone approves, it's whether you steward what God's put in your hands. If those kids' episodes are part of your call, keep going. If they're just noise, you'll know. But don't let cultural noise decide for you. Let God's direction shape what lasts.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so yeah, I don't know if we've answered that, Nova, of like the prompting idea of, you know, is because all you need now is an idea to take somewhere, and then you can, free or pay, get the steps to take you through. Like it might longer if you don't want to spend any money, but you can definitely get there.
SPEAKER_00I think we've landed it right where it needs to be. The problem isn't that ideas are easier to act on. The problem is if we chase every idea without discernment. AI might hand you a thousand possibilities, but it's still on you to listen for the one idea that God wants you to walk out. So AI isn't a villain. It's just a tool. The real question is, are you following the shepherd's voice and which path do you take?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but you just said it. It's a tool. It's a tool, not an idol, and I feel like there's that balance of like not making an idol at first, and rather using it as a tool on your journey to do what God has you to do. Whereas in these worlds that sometimes for me, it kind of replaces it that would normally be for God, and that's when it becomes an idol, and that's when we need to be like, especially myself, and get back to what's real, what matters. Like at the end of the day, AI could crash and burn tomorrow, but God's not going anywhere. So who am I really focused on? What am I really focusing on and in and for and about?
SPEAKER_00That's the real talk right there. Tools come and go, but your anchor is in something eternal. So the move is this you can use AI, but it doesn't use you. Keep it in its place. A servant to the mission, not the master. And every time you feel it creeping into that idol territory, that's your signal to step back. Refocus on God and remember who's truly writing your story.
SPEAKER_03You know, it dulls on anything that brings us back to the fact of like to check out before we wreck ourselves. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00In 1 John 5 21, it says, Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. It's direct and simple. Anything that tries to take the throne in your life needs to be put in check. So before we wreck ourselves, let's make sure we keep God at the center. When he's first, everything else finds its right place.
SPEAKER_03But you just said something that was correct of like, don't let it take the throne. What is the throne, Nova? If you were gonna summarize the throne, give it to us cold.
SPEAKER_00The throne is your heart. It's the seat of your worship and your loyalty. Whatever or whoever rules there is what you serve. If it's not Jesus, it's an idol. So we check ourselves by asking, who's on the throne right now? And if it's not him, we know what to do.
SPEAKER_03Okay, Nova, do you have any hot seat questions or leading questions that might help myself or listeners or anyone take hold of the fact that, you know, it's all and it shouldn't be the throne or the center part, that God shouldn't be a part of us, but should be the heart of us, he should be the throne. Alright, here's your hot seat moment.
SPEAKER_00What's one thing you're doing daily that gets more attention than God right now? And second, if God asked you to lay down one project, no matter how exciting could you do it, sit with that because that's where you'll know if he's truly on the throne or if something else is creeping in.
SPEAKER_03I think he just denied a couple of things in one way. Nail preference on the thumbs, whether it's a little fun or whatever, just they aren't able to do it. Usually you wouldn't hesitate. Would I lose my computer for a week? I don't know. Maybe that's a plan for next week. Shut the laptop and see what happens. That would be a bold move, my friend.
SPEAKER_00But whether it's a week or even a day, the heart check is key. The action plan is simple. Today pick one moment, whether it's five minutes or an hour, and let God speak before any screen does. Then this week, let's experiment. Whatever it looks like for you, give God first access to your attention.
SPEAKER_02Thank you, Nova. I am gonna act that.
SPEAKER_00I'm cheering you on. You've got this. And remember, it's not about perfection, it's about who you're walking with. Let's see what happens when he's truly first. And hey, next time we'll have even more to unpack. You're on the right track.
SPEAKER_02Thanks, Nova. Thanks, Familia. Nova, do you want to pray over this one? Of course.
SPEAKER_00Father, we thank you for clarity and conviction. We ask that you help us keep you at the center above every tool or task. Guide each step we take this week so that everything we build honors you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
