True Success pt. 3: Called to Courage

Kingdom Come Season 1 Episode 9

This is the third part of the study on True Success. We are going to wrap up the study by talking about God's calling, specifically His call for us to be "strong and courageous" and to not be afraid because He goes with us "wherever we go" Joshua 1:9.

For us to live truly successful and fulfilling lives we must live the way that our Designer intended. One of the ways that He designed us to live is in strength and courage, but also in "power and love and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). God has made us fearfully and wonderfully and He has a plan for us (Psalm 139:13-16). Will we step out in faith and live courageously the way He intended?

We could be Kingdom warriors for God and amazing lights for Him, if we will live courageously.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • The foundation of our study on True Success: the fact that success is defined and determined by our Designer
  • 2 Timothy 1:7, "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." God has created us with a spirit, which differentiates us from the animals. Every person has a spirit, however, not everyone has the Holy Spirit living inside of them. Only those who have heeded the call found in Acts 2:38 will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside of them.
  • I talk about the important call in Joshua 1:5-9, where God calls Joshua to strength and courage and to always remember that God goes with him.
  • Just a few verses later, some of the people reiterate what God said to Joshua
  • Why/How are we able to live courageously today? God told Joshua that He would go with him wherever he went. What about us? Well, God's people have the Holy Spirit living inside of us! So, God goes with us wherever we go, too!
  • How can we live more couragesouly?
  1. Read specifically about the life of Jesus
  2. Prayer about being more courageous
  3. Face your fears when they arise in your life
  4. Meditate on your study of God's Word, your prayers, and the opportunities that you are presented to face your fears

Living "strong and courageous" (Deuteronomy 31:6) is very important when it comes to living a successful life, holy and pleasing to God. A life that will honor Him and glorify His Name in all the earth!

Let's live boldly, courageously and with strength that comes from our Rock and Deliverer!
