Slaying the Dragon

King Jesus, our King, Savior, and Lord has slain the dragon! God has defeated sin, death and satan! These forces are going to continue to work until the earth and this universe are burned up, but they will work as defeated agents. In this episode we talk about how we are supposed to fight the dragon, who is the devil, and also all of the other dark forces at work.

I also find it quite amazing how much the devil is able to divide humanity. How can we not figure out that we should all follow God and join His family and His Kingdom of light, so that we can all band together and fight the evil forces of sin, death, and satan? Satan is a very good liar, unfortunately.

I honestly believe that if aliens were to come to this world and threaten humanity that humans would join arms and fight alongside one another to save humanity. But, we actually have a foe, an enemy that seeks to destroy humanity. He is not an alien, but a spiritual force of darkness and evil. The devil and other dark forces seek to separate us from God and they want to see us die, eternally if possible! Somehow, we cannot seem to join arms and fight these evil forces of darkness! It doesn't really make sense.

We only scratch the surface of what we are supposed to do when fighting the dragon and fighting evil. A few things that weren't discussed in depth, or at all. We need to flee the devil and flee evil at times. Sometimes we ought to be like Joseph and flee from evil, instead of standing there and trying to take it head on. It is hugely important that we fight this fight alongside the body of Christ, other Christians. They help to motivate, encourage and strengthen us in this very difficult, grueling fight! Finally, we must lean heavily upon God, and one of the best ways that we do that is by communicating with Him often through prayer! We must be a people who pray consistently and constantly! We must be prayer warriors!
