A ruby-red cocktail, a carousel in view, and a debate we’ve wanted to settle for ages: which Fantasyland truly delivers the magic? We put Disneyland and Magic Kingdom head-to-head on the four things that matter most to park fans—food, layout, rides, and shows—and the results aren’t as simple as coast pride.

We start with the Handsome Brute and a quick reality check on price, then dive into dining. Florida brings the firepower with Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest, Gaston’s Tavern, and a spread of quick-service spots, while Anaheim counters with the fan-favorite Red Rose Tavern and that coveted Grey Stuff. From value to character dining, we map where each land feeds your day best.

Then we shift to what you feel the second you step through the castle. Disneyland’s Fantasyland is a storybook square—tight, kinetic, and overflowing with classics like Mr. Toad, Alice, Pinocchio, and the canal boats, anchored by the Matterhorn. Magic Kingdom stretches wider, with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at its core and Storybook Circus on the edge; it’s generous in space and rich in queues, but less cohesive in spirit. On shows and characters, Florida wins with Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Princess Fairytale Hall, and reliable meet-and-greets. On rides, California’s stacked lineup and intimate flow make a powerful case for the original.

We wrap with practical strategy: rope drop plans, when to chase Peter Pan, how better queues can redeem longer waits, and why layout shapes the mood of your entire day. If you love the deep comfort of Disney nostalgia or crave a day packed with dining and character moments, you’ll know exactly where to go next.

If this helped you choose your next park day, follow the show, share it with a Disney-loving friend, and leave a quick review to tell us which Fantasyland gets your vote.

Cocktail Setup: The Handsome Brute

SPEAKER_02

Hello and welcome to Cheers to Ears, where today we're drinking the handsome brute from Be Our Guest of Magic Kingdom. It's made with Tito's homemade vodka, shamboard liqueur, pomegranate juice, and lemon juice, and is garnished with a sugar rim and raspberries, and it's sold for$17.50, Erin. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

So with ours, we did with our last episode made the mistake of trusting Chad GPT a little too much. Right. So this I made sure I double-checked everything. That's how they're gonna take over the world, people. And I thought it went a little light on the vodka. So we did one and a half ounce, we did a full shot of Tito's vodka. We did one ounce of our raspberry D Amor raspberry liqueur instead of the shamboard, two ounces of pomegranate juice, a half ounce of lemon juice, and then yeah, we put some raspberries in there for a little garnish, the sugar rim. Oh, yeah. And this is good. Oh yeah. This is good. It's reminding me of that Enzo's rum punch we had a little while ago because it had cherry and I believe pomegranate in that. And it's just a little, it's a different type of fruity. But it's really good. I'm liking these raspberry liqueur drinks.

SPEAKER_02

So we just said that$17.50 was a good price when we were just talking, right? A good price for a drink. But how much is be your guest to eat there? It's like$88 or something. So it's not$17.50, really. Because at first you gotta pay the$88. Yeah. Well, let's look at up. Then you can add on the$17.50. Sorry,$72.

SPEAKER_01

Cinderella's table is$88. Okay. So$72,$43 for child, and I believe, yeah, lunch and dinner is the same. And they had a special thing for uh Mickey's Not So Scary, yep.

SPEAKER_02

This is there we go. Is this a Mickey's Not So Scary drink? No, no, but we were gonna have one, we were gonna make one, maybe.

Price Talk: Drinks vs. Dining Costs

SPEAKER_01

I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I don't remember.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we talked about it because we were talking about doing a Halloween episode and things that would scare us.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

If Disneyland did did something, what Disneyland could do to scare us.

SPEAKER_02

That sounds like a good next because that would come out around Halloween time, I think. I don't know. We might be past are we we've got two more weeks. We can do whatever we want. Two more Wednesdays. Yeah, we don't have episode numbers. We can do this however we want. You can see this at any time. Anywhere we want to put it.

SPEAKER_01

We might have not released some episodes. Anyway, very good drink. I'm enjoying this one.

SPEAKER_02

It's different. I love it. Yeah. It's right up there for me. It has like everything it's alcohol forward enough. Yes, it's fruity enough, and it's pretty enough.

SPEAKER_01

And it yes, it is it looks really good. It's an attractive drink. It does look like it would be a good Halloween drink. It does. Very red.

SPEAKER_02

Looks looks like a little red blood-like.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I don't know. Maybe this would we'll have to look for something. Now I had a Halloween cocktail when we went last year. We're gonna talk about this forever.

SPEAKER_02

This is gonna come up at least three times again. It was salty. You hated that. I remember that. I that's the only reason I remember sitting at that pool bar. Yeah. That we were at that little tiny gurgling suitcase. It was a little tiny bar right outside the pool. Old Key West. Yeah. It was a terrible drink.

SPEAKER_01

Yours was good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah, you really didn't like it.

SPEAKER_01

It looked good because it liked Blackberry and yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then they had a Norm Peterson or a Cliff Clavin there at the bar. Oh, yes, they did. It looked like it seemed like he was there every day. Yeah, hanging out.

SPEAKER_01

Old Key Jeff. That's from a different podcast. And we didn't see him there. And we've never met him. So we're doing something from Be Our Guest because we're gonna talk about Fantasyland. We are. We've done Tomorrowland and Frontierland. We need to talk about Fantasyland. We so do. And it's we're gonna talk both about the Disneyland version and the Magic Kingdom. And what I did is I broke it down to who has the better eats, what's the better layout, what's the better rides and shows. Shopping, I thought, was fairly equal between the two. They both have a bippity boppity boutique. And we'll just kind of work through this pros and cons, and then at the end we'll try to decide who has the better fantasy land.

Framing The Fantasyland Showdown

SPEAKER_02

Yep, we're just free-flowing here.

SPEAKER_01

And whether or not it's a thumbs up or a thumbs down land. Like overall, Disney has hit the mark on this one. Where like Tomorrowland, it's a big thumbs down.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, both parks.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And Frontier Land, I think, is a thumbs up on both, even though they're both very different. But anyway, let's get to discussing. So Better Eat.

SPEAKER_02

Let's do it.

SPEAKER_01

Disneyland, oddly enough, has only well now. I guess there's four. So Disneyland wing technically Matterhorn is included in Fantasyland. And there's the that walk with turkey legs, and I think they've got a lote, and which is the corn on the cob, and stuff like that. But for the most part, there's Maurice's Treats, Red Rose Tavern, and Troubadour Tavern.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

Better Eats: Menus, Value, Standouts

SPEAKER_01

And then there's little kiosks. Yeah. Or the little carts everywhere where you can get the usual. So Magic Kingdom has Cinderella's Royal Table, which is the restaurant in the castle, Be Our Guest, which is the Beauty and the Beast themed, sit both sit down, Gaston's Tavern, Pinocchio Village House, Friars Nook, and those are all kind of quick service. Storybook treats and Cheshire Cafe, which are more along the lines of I would say Maurice's Treats. So it's a quick service, but a very limited menu on what you can get at Storybook Treats and Cheshire Cafe. Now for Disneyland, Maurice Streets, the only time I really go there, like I went and got that coffee.

SPEAKER_02

Got a coffee.

SPEAKER_01

Which was good.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

But those are long line, too. Yeah, long lines there. They have, and it's not real fast. Well, it wasn't too bad, I guess. But they have the Cheshire Cattail. And which they have at the Cheshire Cafe at Murray's Treats, they have them as well. And iconic snack, I would say, but I've never tried it. I just no appeal to me. Red Rose Tavern and Troubadour Tavern. Troubadour Tavern, you can get a Bratwurst or you can get a baked potato. So limited ease, I would say, in the Disneyland.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Now Red Rose Tavern, I love. Yes. I think it's mostly because of location, though. It's where it's on the cusp of Galaxy's Edge. Frontier Land. Frontier Trans right there. I want to buy it so many times. I always end up eating something from there. Rarely, if ever, eat there. But it's a good people watching place. If you get a table right next, because everyone was walking by that little, it's not that big of a space.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And you had, because we did eat there, and I had one of their flatbreads, which I actually really enjoyed, and it was a decent price. And you had one of their crunch wrap supreme. That was good.

SPEAKER_02

I liked it for the price.

SPEAKER_01

So that was really good. I think Pinocchio Village House is a similar menu. Maybe.

SPEAKER_02

Can you get the gray stuff anywhere else? And where can you get that at the end of the day?

SPEAKER_01

I can get that at Magic Kingdoms.

SPEAKER_02

Just at BR guests.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe you could get it at BR Guests. Yeah. But you can get it at Red Rose Tavern.

SPEAKER_02

You can. So that's a big bright spot. But what Magic Kingdom has in their fantasy land for rest for dining is so much.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Now, will I ever eat at Cinderella's table or be our guest? Probably not. Definitely not BR guests, because I've never heard anything good about their food considering the price.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. If I had grandchildren to take, I would go see, I would go there. Little kids, that little kids' tray they have.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The edible cups. That's a good potential there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think I'd rather, if I were going to drop that much money, I'd go to Cinderella's table. But honestly, the only one of all of these that I kind of count as a destination when I go is Gaston's Tavern.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because I want that cinnamon roll. And their other food is actually really good there. Yeah, we shared it when we were at Magic Kingdom.

SPEAKER_03

It was very good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then I had with their ham and cheese thing to go along with it. So overall, so Disneyland, we ate there, but honestly, I'm not ever looking to eat there.

SPEAKER_02

No, and Disneyland's so much more compact. Yeah. That they don't have to have a bunch of restaurants in Fantasyland. Well, they can't because they're not going to be able to do that. No, but I think they just gave up on it too. They could do something to make something else there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it'd be hard to shoehorn in.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they could they could do something, but they don't need it because there's so many other things short walking distances away. Yeah. But Magic Kingdom wins this big time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think so too.

SPEAKER_02

It's not even close.

SPEAKER_01

You have a lot more choices. And honestly, I would consider some of these choices, even the quick service, above other options at Magic Kingdom. Yeah. And I think Disneyland has overall better food than Magic Kingdom, at least for quick service. There's not a whole lot of sit-down. If you're talking about sit-down restaurants, Magic Kingdom wins by a mile.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Overall. So yeah, I gotta give the nod on better eats to Magic Kingdom on this one. Totally agree. So better layout. So I had at Disneyland, the bottom of Disneyland, there's that little arm where Maurice's treats are and the fairy tale or the Royal Hall. Right. Down there. The top is like Casey Jr. Red Rose Tavern is to the left side, and Mad Tea Party is like the right boundary. The outliers being the Royal Theater down there where Maurice's treats are, because it's just this little pocket, but it's still part of fantasy land, I think, where there's the meet and greet. Then there's Small World and the Fantasy Theater, which nothing's playing there right now. But those don't feel attached.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_01

And honestly, Matterhorn doesn't feel attached.

SPEAKER_02

It doesn't, but it's, I mean, everything has to be part of the land.

SPEAKER_01

And they are. And they all three are, but they don't have that like you're in a town square. So when you go to the fantasy land around King Arthur's carousel, you feel like you're in the town square. With all those little buildings and stuff. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That little that one little area, even though it's always so crowded in there, it is hard to get around. And they're mostly rides for little kids. So all the kids are there, even though I love all of them. But it's OG Disney. When you're in there, it's Main Street and Fantasyland. I think those two are either par or you can put one above the other as what is the most iconic Disneyland. Yeah. Is those two. Yeah. Because that Fantasyland and Disneyland, like looking at Magic Kingdoms, it's so spread out.

SPEAKER_01

And so Magic Kingdom, the bottom is the castle. The top is Gaston's Tavern. And I really went back and forth whether or not I wanted Ariel's Under the Sea Ariel's journey, whatever the I can't remember the name of it. And the meet and greet for Ariel up there. Small World on the left-hand side. Small World and Peter Pan are kind of like the end of Fantasyland. And then the right is Mad Tea Party. Although there's a couple things that sneak around. So there's Cheshire Cafe, and there's a Mirabelle Meet and Greet, just right around the corner from the Cheshire Cafe. And then the outliers. So Dumbo doesn't really even count as Fantasyland there because it's part of that little circus land.

SPEAKER_02

It's so different.

SPEAKER_01

It's that circus land that they've created. Even though they don't call it circus storybook land? No. It's just fantasyland.

SPEAKER_02

It's like there's a name that has when you walk through. Yeah, it's I don't remember what it is. But it's its own land.

SPEAKER_01

I don't even care what it's called. It's a dumb Dumbo. Yeah. And all ride Dumbo and Goofy's Barnstormer. Yeah, Barnstormer's alright.

SPEAKER_02

I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But they're not really part of the Fantasyland. But it's long, it's really disjointed because Seven Dwarves Mind Train is right smack dab in the middle. And it should be at an edge. So, you know, what they did is they filled in, I guess they filled in Nemo, their Nemo right there. And built seven dwarves on top of it. Not a good one. But I don't like that path behind it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Disjoint is the best word for it. Because it could be long and still good. It could be big and still good. But it's like different spaces.

SPEAKER_01

It feels like four areas all glued together poorly. It's like a first grade art project.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly. So you have to ask yourself is where do you feel most like you're in in a fantasy land? Yes. And to me, that's Disneyland. And I think for layout, it just hands down. Yeah. It's just better. Standing near carousel. Yeah. At Disneyland. Between the carousel and the castle, that little area is crazy awesome. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Just all the little dark rides right around it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It's just so good. There's tons of them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Tons of rides. And just there's a lot of kinetic energy going on there. It just is it's constantly moving. People moving through there. And yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And my tip is if you want to ride all of them in 25 minutes, you go on Star Wars night. There you go. Because that's what I did, and it worked perfect.

SPEAKER_01

When we could rope drop, it it went really well, I think, to rope drop. So because we hit, I think we did Peter Pan first. Maybe we even skipped Peter Pan and we wrote everything else. Because everything else was walk-on. Because people rope drop Peter Pan and go straight to it. And so we rope drop everything else, except for Alice in Wonderland. And it's been a long time since I wrote that.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's because it's around the corner. So I miss it so many times.

SPEAKER_01

And then we ran back and did Mickey Minis when it first opened and stuff. So obviously the better layout is gonna be Disneyland on that one. Okay, we're one to one. We're one and one. So next one, better rides and shows. Okay. So here's the show. Break it down. Disneyland has the Royal Theater, which has the semi-stage plays, which are hilarious. They're really good. I've seen Beauty and the Beast and Gosh, what was the other one I saw there? Was it Aladdin? You've seen Aladdin because you've talked about it before. Have I? Yeah. Okay, so it must have been Aladdin that they did in the semi-stage. So that they've got the Royal Hall, which is the meet and greet, and then they have the Fantasyland Theater, which has nothing in it right now. Disneyland, get your act together. You need some entertainment.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, their favorite shows are silent shows with no actors. Yeah. That's their favorite Disneyland's favorite thing.

Shows And Meet-And-Greets Compared

SPEAKER_01

All it is a big seating area right now. So Disney World, Mickey's Fill Hard Magic, and I'm skipping over one. I'm going to go back to it. So Mickey's Fillhar Magic, and I included meet and greets with this too. There's the Mirabelle Meet and Greet. There's the Meet Ariel at her grotto. And Princess Fairy Tale Hall, which right now has Cinderella and Tiana. But a lot of times they would have Anastasia and Drizel. So Cinderella's sisters. They're fun on and they're hilarious. So they're still in that area, but they moved them when I looked at the map today. The other thing they have is Enchanted Tales with Belle. Why haven't I ever done that? I've gone a half dozen times. It's a telling of Beauty and the Beast where you go into a room and they tell the story in the room. And it's interactive. I think Belle is actually telling the story.

SPEAKER_02

Didn't know that was there.

SPEAKER_01

I know. What's wrong with that? Because it's so disjointed, and I would totally go see that. Gotta go to Disney World. Yeah. Darn it. I guess I gotta go back. Of course, shows and meet and greets and all that definitely goes to Disney World. They've got a couple of character meet and greets at Disneyland, but for the most part, shows Disneyland just falls on their face.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, totally. Disneyland's better with the characters walking around, though. You can go into Fantasyland and see characters all the time. Yeah, Princesses walking by, Mad Hatter, yeah. Tigger, Pooh, Piglet. You can see all these characters constantly. Well, that's not a fantasy land. That Tigger and Pooh. I would just get excited about Tigger. It's part of Disneyland together. So at Disneyland, you're gonna see the whole resort, you're gonna see a lot more characters walking around.

SPEAKER_01

There is Tigger and Pooh meet and greet as Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Yeah, it's in Magic Kingdom outside the Winnie the Pooh ride. And it's outside the Winnie the Pooh ride over Disneyland. At Disneyland, way over.

SPEAKER_02

But it's crittering land.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, totally different. So rides, Disneyland has the castle walkthrough. Have you ever done that? Oh, I do it quite often. Okay. I love walking through Disney. I think I've only done it once. Oh, really? Yeah. And I had I think I went two, three years and didn't even know it existed. And then my cousin, well, let's go. Huh? What are you talking about? I had no idea.

SPEAKER_02

I always just walk. If it's a busy time of the day for everybody else, I'll walk through. I'm one of the only people in there. If you're the only one in there. There's never a lot of people walking through. Yeah, that's true. Same with the treehouse. I'll just walk up it real quick. Check out the view. Look around.

Rides Head-To-Head And Queue Quality

SPEAKER_01

So you got Castle Walkthrough, Snow White's Enchanted Wish, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Storybook Canal Boats, King Arthur's Carousel, Peter Pan, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Mad Tea Party, Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Small World, Matterhorn, and that's all of them at Disneyland.

SPEAKER_02

It's a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Magic Kingdom has Seven Dwarves Mind Train, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Prince Charming Regal Carousel, Peter Pan, Small World, and I included Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid, even though it again it doesn't feel like it's part of its Matterhorn. Right. It is, but it doesn't feel like it. And I put Dumbo question mark, but Dumbo just isn't part of it. It's in that other little area. I think Disneyland wins this.

SPEAKER_02

It's not even close. Yeah. Look at the classic rides you have. Plus, you have Matterhorn, right? Yeah. And the only thing Disney World has going for it is it has Seven Doors Mind Train. Yeah. This that kind of sets it apart. But that's the argument between Matterhorn and Seven Doors Mind Train you'd have to have, right? This is true. Because they're totally different rides. Matterhorn's more jerky around.

SPEAKER_01

Although we wrote it and it was smoother.

SPEAKER_02

It was a little smoother.

SPEAKER_01

It is smooth. But it's not quite as bad.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's not as dumb as Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom.

SPEAKER_01

No. That one, yeah, that one's pretty scary.

SPEAKER_02

Back still hurts.

SPEAKER_01

I love that ride.

SPEAKER_02

I know you because it's terrifying. I'm like in the minor all the people we know, I'm in the minority. Yeah. I can't believe Eli and Addy. They both like it? Better than the Space Mountain in Disneyland.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think if you get used to the way it drops and all that, you'll like it more.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

You might not like it more than Disneyland, but you'll like it more. Disneyland's. Yeah. So anyway, yeah, Disneyland has the rides on that one too. Big time.

SPEAKER_02

I've been looking at I'm looking. That's it for it's Seven Doors Mind Train. And oh, let's talk Peter Pan real quick. Peter Pan. Because they are a little different, but honestly, I couldn't tell you the difference. Let's talk about it real quick. So it's newer looking at Magic Kingdom. Yeah. Right? Yeah. I mean, the cars are bigger. It's more iconic. Are they? I think they are. I think they're a little wider. I think they're wider. Oh, okay. It's got a better cue at Magic Kingdom. Q at Magic Kingdom's better. There's a lightning lane at Magic Kingdom for Peter Pan. Yes. There's not in Disneyland. Yeah. Which that's a major minus for how busy it is. Yeah. If you're just a person that wants to ride it once in a while, it's such a long line all the time in Disneyland. And there's no way to short ride.

SPEAKER_01

There's no way to add a lightning lane there.

SPEAKER_02

Well, there's such a short ride, though. Yeah. Three minutes and like 20 seconds. No, it's so short. It's not worth it half the time to go unless you hit the right time. Yeah. I would take the Disneyland ride all day because it's but the Disney World ride has lightning lane, a better queue, and they do that little sprinkly thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they pixie dust you. And I don't know why they don't do that at Disneyland. That's a that's kind of odd because I thought that was a good looking thing. That was cool to have them pixie.

SPEAKER_02

And they're on the money with their timing. And so they're pixie dusting you for real. Never mind. I should have said, don't ruin the magic.

SPEAKER_01

So here's a big plus I would say for Magic Kingdom for the rides that are in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland. So granted, Seven Doors Mine Train, great cue. Many Adventures of Wendy the Pooh has a great cue. Especially when you compare them to the Disneyland version or Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid to the DCA version. It has a much better cue at Disney World. I don't know, Small World, it doesn't matter. I don't think actually either one has a I think they're both the same queue, and that sucks anyway. They have all those padded rooms on the queue where you can beat your head against it. So really the only way that Magic Kingdom Fantasyland for rides is even in the discussion is because of those cues. It's the cues that kind of make those rides.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Peter Pan is still a good ride. Yeah. But if they had a better queue and a lightning lane at Disneyland, because the because it's an iconic ride, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It would be it'd be way better.

SPEAKER_02

It wouldn't be even a question, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Rides way better, Disneyland. But better rides. Because it just it's that nostalgia.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I like hitting all those rides in the morning if you have early entry and well, but you don't anymore after 2026. But yeah, it's just you can run through and do those really quick.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Which we didn't do. I don't even. What did we do for rope drop? Last week we free-flowed our rope drops.

SPEAKER_02

We didn't really make a plan. We didn't say we're gonna go hit Space Mountain right away and just do in the hit Matterhorn first thing. We had one day at Disneyland, yeah. We did Indiana Jones Jones, which worked out perfect because everyone in line, most of the people there were going straight to Rise. Rise passed right by it and then we did Haunted Mansion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That worked out perfect. Yeah, and for DC for DCA, you can rope drop whatever you want. Yeah, it really doesn't matter. Yeah, especially when cars is closed. It's only the guardians we were we were we rope dropped guardians, didn't we? Did we?

SPEAKER_01

Guardians, and then we did over Toy Story Mania, which I think was closed like one of the mornings. Yeah, we just rope drop whatever. We were taking it easy on that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, here's our plan tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01

And I think when I go with people, I'm not as hardcore about rope dropping. I think going with you, we both just kind of hit the laid back button. It was the whole point was enjoying the trip.

SPEAKER_02

We've done this enough, together now. Yeah, that we know that we're gonna do everything we want to. Yeah, it's all gonna work out. It doesn't matter in three days what time we leave the hotel, what time we want to go back to the hotel. Yeah, if we want to do something, whatever. We're getting it all done. Yeah, we're gonna do whatever we want to. If we there's certain things we want to do, like I wanted to hit those Halloween things. Yeah, but that's two things, and then the Walt thing, that's three things, yeah. That was new to us. That was it. Whatever else happens, yeah. Like I only we only rode Mickey and Mini one. Mickey and Minnie's right. Yeah, that was that's a bummer to me. Yeah, that was and I'm trying to think of why it's because we had one day at Disneyland we started at, and when we went over then I had the lightning lane, I couldn't use it cancelled it out, it just didn't work out. We just had to go to Toontown. That's the only time we went to Toontown.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and we ended up doing Roger Rabbit. Roger Rabbit same. We didn't do the gadget Chippendale's gadget coaster. That's usually two.

SPEAKER_02

That's another one like Peter Pan. It's a long line for nothing.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so this is what I don't get. They always say it's like 25 minutes. Whenever I get in line, it's five. I've been in line for a while. Okay, me, Christy Eagle got stuck in it. Oh, see, now that's not worth getting stuck in. No, because it's hot. Because it's five or ten minutes, Max.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's a yeah, we got it's said and there was no time, and we end up getting stuck right in the middle. Whatever.

SPEAKER_01

So, shopping. I mean, like I said, they both have Bippity Bopity boutique. Yeah, where we are not aficionados of that place. But the Mad Hatter store. Love it. That's a good one. Right in that little alcove, but overall, there's just not really a whole lot of shopping, and it's uh to me, it's about equal. Yeah. And because I think Magic Kingdom had something that I it was one of the few places I like going into. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because you're on shop.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm not a shopper, and so the Mad Hatter store, I like walking through that because I like looking at all the hats and the ears. I think they sell ears there as well.

SPEAKER_02

They don't have a ride with a store at the end. When they built Fantasyland, I don't think it was a shopping forward thought process. When in the Pooh has a shop at the end. Right. Some of those rides when you leave Star Tours, you're in a store. Yeah. When you leave Guardians, you're in a store. So I don't think they thought of that when they built the place. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Let's hit these suckers up for some cash right after they get rid of it. Right after they got the ride. Ooh, I like that. Let's buy a QB. So overall, what do you think? Who has the better?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's it's I don't think this is a discussion.

Rope Drop Strategies And Trip Vibes

SPEAKER_01

Not really. No, this is a this is a slam dunk. Because the food's not to me isn't that important. And while I wish there were more shows, which is Magic Kingdom won for what did they win? Shows, and they won Eats. Eats. Yeah. But the Eats doesn't bother me because there's so much other better stuff at Disneyland anyway. I wouldn't eat there, even if they probably had a couple more places. Yeah, yeah. The layout is a biggie. Yeah, layout is.

SPEAKER_02

I think that's the layout, Disneyland beat them big time and rides.

SPEAKER_01

And rides.

SPEAKER_02

I mean Mr. Toad. That's it. Right. They took out Mr. Toad from Disney World.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You can still ride that. I mean, it's the only place in the world you can go to hell at a Disneyland park.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Although you can, what was it? Pinocchio's Daring Journey. You can hear them referring to little kids as a bunch of little jackasses. So that's entertaining for a kid ride. But anyway, they can't compete with Disneyland. They didn't even try with the layout. There's no way that they could read it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and you don't no one would want them to.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

There's such a small percentage. And I'm in the camp, I'm toying in the camp of changing things. And I gotta improving things, but I don't think you should change that little area of fantasy land ever. That should always look just like that.

SPEAKER_01

And I think the core area, outside of that, I mean it's the core area, and you have that down by Maurice's treats in the Royal Theater. You have that little pocket down there, and then you have that big area that incorporates fantasy theater, small world, all that. But like that core area is so good.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

With everything, just the buildings and you can't change that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You'd have to add something else to do.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, you couldn't recreate that at Disney World. It would be too hard because of the way that's laid out. It's just a big long strip. And yeah, it's just you can't recreate it now. Yeah. That had to be something you talked about in the beginning. Yeah, just the way it's all laid out. So Disneyland's better. Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Now Disneyland's always better.

SPEAKER_01

And it's great. Now, but would you say that the Magic Kingdom Fantasyland, would you give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down? Oh well, I like it. Fine. Yeah. It's part of Magic Kingdom.

SPEAKER_02

And it's hard to not compare. No, you have to compare the two. And I don't remember. I wish I remembered the Fantasyland. Is there a fantasy land, Shanghai Disney? I don't know. I went there once and I don't remember. I should have done some research on it. Before this. I have the app every yeah. That's pretty sad. I'm sad too. I'm just as sad as you.

SPEAKER_01

I think there's enough to say that it's fantasy land, because I'm still hitting fantasy land and Disney.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I'm gonna I'm gonna do Seven Dwarves.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. A bite to eat. I'm going to Gaston's town.

SPEAKER_02

They'll probably have an average or to blow average coffee there somewhere.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And I'm going to ride all the rides because of the cues.

SPEAKER_02

And it has Mickey's Fillhar Magic.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. But I'm going to go because of the Qs. The Qs will suck me into all of those. Much better cue at Mickey's Fillhar Magic, even than the it's a big waiting room at DCA where it's an actual line, and then there's a small little waiting room there at the end. But better cues. Because there's stuff to see as you're walking into Mickey's Fillharm Magic. Whereas the other one, you're not really looking at stuff. You're just going and waiting in that room till those doors open at DCA. Better cues. And the cues are what are gonna draw me into that land. The rides are good, but I really want to just walk through those cues.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think just the ambiance takes me into the land too. Just to be there in fantasy land. Every time I walk through, it feels like Disney. It feels like Disney. It feels like I'm a kid again every time I go in.

Shopping Snapshots And Merch Talk

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So yeah, totally. And if only they'd let us walk around with handsome brutes. I know. Sipping on our cocktails.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so neither one you can do that. There's no cocktail better cocktails list. You can there's no way to drink a cocktail at Disneyland's Fancy Land in any way. No. But there's two places at Disney World with BR Ghast. And Cinderella's table. Right. So there you go. Handsome brute. Pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. We're gonna finish this right now. But until next time, cheers. Cheers.
