A single sip can change the story you’re telling. We start with a Jungle Bird inspired by Skipper Canteen—rum deepened with a touch of 151, Campari softened with Aperol, pineapple and lime bringing a bright finish that somehow reads like grapefruit. It’s balanced, unexpected, and the perfect metaphor for the episode: a playful idea with a smart backbone.

Then we draft the Disney pets we’d actually live with, and the criteria get real. Maximus brings big dog energy in a horse frame, while Pascal proves that pocket-sized can still be prime company. Dory sparks a hilarious but honest take on pet practicality. Hey Hey guarantees laughter through chaos, and Abu becomes the ultimate snack heist partner who’s handy at ballparks and grocery aisles. Pluto anchors the list as the proven companion we all know, and Remy flips the script on household duty—imagine a five-star kitchen run by a genius chef who fits under a toque, possible cousins and all.

When we talk protection and presence, Raja stands tall as emotional support tiger, and Kenai raises good questions about wildness and trust. Stitch earns his spot on loyalty alone, especially post-mayhem. Doug from Up reminds us why we love dogs: pure heart, open honesty, and conversations that actually talk back. Pegasus shows up for personality and transportation—your commute has never looked better—and Cusco’s llama sarcasm keeps the house lively. We close with Nana from Peter Pan, the quiet MVP who brings care, order, and tenderness when it’s needed most.

If you love Disney, cocktails, and the kind of ranking game that reveals what really matters at home—laughter, loyalty, and a bit of magic—this one’s for you. Hit play, then tell us your top three dream Disney roommates. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs a loyal Doug or a chef named Remy, and leave a quick review to help more fans find the show.

Jungle Bird Cocktail Setup

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Hello and welcome to Cheers2ears. Where today we're drinking on a jungle bird from Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom Park. And it is made with gosling black seal rum, compare liqueur, cane syrup, and pineapple and lime juices. And it's$16.50, Aaron. Disney reasonable.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Disney good. So we made it with two ounces of gosling's black rum, which we ran out. We had about two and a half ounces of that rum left. So we did 151. A little more kick. Three quarters of an ounce of simple syrup, 1.5 ounces of pineapple juice, half an ounce of lime juice. And then again, we had to mix Kampari with Aperol, which Kampari is a little sweeter, but we had three quarters of an ounce of Kampari, which we did. We made one big batch, and we did so we did half Kampari, half Aperol. Right. So because it was 1.5 ounces total. But it made a darn good drink.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So darn good drink.

SPEAKER_01

Darn good drink. And this is the first episode we've had that having the burger in the background makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. If only the dogs would start barking.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So don't worry, they will.

SPEAKER_00

This is a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, this is a very good drink. I just, it's like so many punches we've had over time. We've had lots of different tropical drinks.

SPEAKER_00

Lots of tropical drinks.

SPEAKER_01

This one is like more sophisticated.

SPEAKER_00

It is. So not only in its presence, because it's a and we will show the potential YouTube group. It's in an old-fashioned glass.

SPEAKER_01

Keyword potential. Yeah. I like that. Old fashioned glass.

SPEAKER_00

But it's as I take another sip. It's interesting when you mix Campari or Aperol with what I say, the pineapple juice. To me, it starts tasting like uh it has a grapefruit finish. So this finishes with grapefruit. It does. But it's balanced super well.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm ordering this next time I go.

Drink Tweaks And Taste Notes

SPEAKER_00

So consider this is two and three-quarter ounces or two and a half ounces. No. Two and three-quarter ounces of alcohol with juices and stuff. It's not alcohol forward. You can taste the alcohol, but it's it's balanced very well. So this makes me want to go back to Skipper Canteen. I went once, wasn't really, really impressed, but I also didn't drink when I went. I just I went for the meal.

SPEAKER_01

You'll always be more impressed if you drink when you go. This is true. Except for if you go to that one place where you have the bad drink, and we're gonna mention that again.

SPEAKER_00

But this is this was when I went and went to Skipper Canteen, it was where you land and you go to the parks hardcore first day, and we went to Magic Kingdom, and which I don't recommend if you're flying from the West Coast to go hard the first day. I think that should be an easy going day because it's just never fun. And yeah, we went hard day with lunch at Skipper Canteen. And the food was the food was good, it was okay, but I would have enjoyed it more had I gone and been a little more relaxed. Yes. Everything's better when you're more relaxed. Yeah, this is true.

SPEAKER_01

That's why they should always do Disney more relaxed.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, more relaxed. So we're doing Jungle Bird to fit in with our theme. And it's living with Disney's sidekicks or Disney animals, sidekicks or otherwise, because sometimes it's the main character, sometimes it isn't.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I did all I did all animals. Okay. And then pets. I did I did pets I would want as my own.

Skipper Canteen Memories And Park Pace

SPEAKER_00

Oh, for the animals? Yeah. And why? And I kind of yeah. I mean, you're living with them, i.e. pets. I just didn't want to insult certain characters by calling them pets. Because I imagine if you referred like it's like calling Rocket Raccoon a raccoon. It angers him. It does anger him.

SPEAKER_01

Or trash panda or rocket would be a good funny one. There we go. I didn't even think of that. No, I didn't either. Yeah. I didn't think of Marvel at all.

SPEAKER_00

No, didn't cross my mind. So anyway, we have a list of ten each. Yep. And would you like to start? Sure. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

My first one is Maximus from Tangled.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I thought about doing Maximus. It went with a different horse. I watched many clips. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Not many mouse clips. Lots of clips.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I watched lots of clips on the and the some are hilarious. It makes me want to watch a few of these movies again. Because I haven't seen Tangled in a long time.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't watched that the whole way through, I don't think.

SPEAKER_01

But so Maximus, I like him because he's a horse with big dog energy.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Very much so. If you were gonna have a horse.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, he's a horse that's just like a having a dog. And you know, our dogs are all big in our house. We like the bigger dogs.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

So that it fits. It fits. It tracks.

SPEAKER_00

It works with who you are.

SPEAKER_01

Right. That's what this is all about.

SPEAKER_00

As a Disney fan, yes. Any final thoughts on that?

SPEAKER_01

I don't think so. Do you have any thoughts on no? No?

SPEAKER_00

I just that I almost did Max's up and I picked a different one.

SPEAKER_01

We'll see how this goes. This we'll we'll get into it. Let's go.

Framing The Disney Pets Theme

SPEAKER_00

So my first one was Dory. Okay. Because a fish is an easy pet, but I thought she would be a little disturbing because she would just swim around in place all day or just kind of float there all day staring at you. Because she wouldn't know who you were. And she'd just keep forgetting. Right. So she would just stare at you all day. Yeah. So, you know, I thought, well, fish, an aquarium can cost a lot of money, but the food is really cheap. So I'm thinking, I was thinking with her practical of like but you could almost get away with a small aquarium for just one fish.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Just that typical round bowl. I like that. I don't know if she if that would work for an ocean going fish though, but but the food is cheap. But I thought eventually I would move her to an unused room because of the staring, would just creep me out. Oh. I don't want to be stared at by an animal, my pet. It just it would annoy me. So she would be banished to like this room.

SPEAKER_01

Just yeah, when you don't go into a lot.

Maximus And Pocket Pascal

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, or Eli's old room. Yeah. Yeah. Michaela's old room. That's where we keep the fish.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, kids, you're not welcome back.

SPEAKER_00

Entertain the pet. We got a pet. He'll she'll be staring at you the whole time you're home.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Eli Eli already gets to adopt a bird someday.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The bird will outlive you. Oh, yeah. They lived uh fifty, they lived 50 or 60 years. Oh, okay. So yeah, he's gonna he's gonna toy outlive me. Unless advances in sciences come.

SPEAKER_00

Now he's listening to this and he's I know. Sorry, Taz. Coming up with ways to get rid of the bird. Oh, yeah, the bird got away.

SPEAKER_01

Christy always tries to come up with ways to get rid of the bird. She asks every single person that comes in our house if they want a bird. If they want a bird. Yeah. The birds are my thing. I would have 12 of them. Oh. I love birds. Interesting. Yeah. Fun fact.

SPEAKER_00

Learn something new every day.

SPEAKER_01

Fun fact. So my next one. Your next one. Um, my next one is also from Tangled. I went double Tangled. And he's a small chameleon. Pablo? Wait, Pascal. Pascal. Pablo. That's a good name. I mean, yeah. That's a good name too. Pascal. And I watched a video, a funny video today where the creators, how they came up with a name, there was a person on the set that got a chameleon and brought it on the when they were writing the when they were writing the script, and she brought it in the room, and they said we need a chameleon in this movie. Can we name it Pascal?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

And that was her past her name of her chameleon. Oh, nice. And his hilarious character. And I watched a few, I watched a few clips from Disney Jr. today. Okay. Of the Tangled Disney Jr. show, and it's very funny.

SPEAKER_00

I'll have to Pascal I'll have to watch. I'll have to sit down when I've got time to watch all of Tangled.

SPEAKER_01

You've never seen the whole movie? Or just I haven't paid attention to it.

SPEAKER_00

No, no. It's because I get interrupted a lot when watching movies. Oh. It took me like four or five hours to watch something the other day. Wow. Because I kept, hey, come here and take a look at this. Hey, let's do Yeah. I can't remember what movie it was now. And I spent five hours of my life watching it. So anyway.

SPEAKER_01

But Pascal, you can take anywhere. Yeah. He's a pocket chameleon. Yeah. You can just stick him anywhere. He could go with you. And he changes the color of whatever you're wearing. He can sit on your shoulder and just, if you're wearing like a brown sweater, hold on to your ear and cruise along. Yeah, he can stick sit on top of your Mickey ears. Yeah. And be part of it. Like if you lose a if you lose an ear from your Mickey ears when you're in the park, he can become a Mickey.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's brilliant.

Dory’s Goldfish Dilemma

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty good. That's pretty good. And he's also an emotional support chameleon. You need one of those. Just to get you through your day. Nice. That's what pets are for, right? Yes, emotional support. That's one of the main things pets are even for. Why you get a pet, because it makes you happier, right? Yeah. Like with the kids out of the house now, I end up talking to the dogs and bird a lot more.

SPEAKER_00

I talk to my dog a lot.

SPEAKER_01

I like a lot more than I used to, though. We have me and Taz had a whole conversation today.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And he's he was into it.

SPEAKER_00

I just give my dog like different names. He was picking up he was picking up what I was throwing down. Yeah. Well, that's good. So my next one is Hey Hey. I went with a bird. I'll go hey later. So he he's a rooster. And I got him because I figured keep him around and get some hen egg-laying hens. I put hen laying eggs. Yeah. Little dyslexia there. Egg-laying hens. Because I thought, you know, you'd it'd be great because you wouldn't feel any guilt eating his offspring.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because he's an idiot.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And so you're just like if you were able to take idiot animals out of the world.

Hey Hey Chaos And Constant Laughter

SPEAKER_01

So I'll just I add it, I had a hey, hey on my list too. Okay. So I'll just add in and we'll just conversate about it instead of me saying it later. That's funny. That's funny that you're because he's an idiot. My whole thing with pets also is like with our younger dog, uh, he we laugh at him all day long, right? He was an empty nester kind of purchase. Oh, okay. It was right before Eli was about ready to graduate high school. So we should have we should have like legitimately not gotten any more pets so we can live our empty nester life, right? But we did.

SPEAKER_00

We got a puppy care of the package.

SPEAKER_01

We got a puppy right after COVID.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Got a puppy, and we laugh at him all day. It's constant, constant laughing. He's one of the best pets we've ever owned. And that that's one thing to have a pet. So Heihe will be the same thing. You would laugh at everything he did. Yeah. Because of the chaos he would he would cause. It would be hilarious if you took it lightheartedly. I know. Hey Hei's hilarious.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. He was a great character.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, Moana had both Hei Hei and Pua, which both great, great animals. Yeah. I should have gone with Pua. So I'm gonna get off topic here because I don't think this episode will be a real long one. Not in the way we're flowing so far. Whoa.

SPEAKER_01

Oh I'm hitting still so far. Jeez.

SPEAKER_00

I'm driving up this is my first one, I swear, to my hunting spot. And there is a pig that looks like Pua, the same species of pig. And it has a bunch of little piglets. And so every time I'm driving by this field, I see like mama pig with about six little tiny piglets, chase furry little piglets chasing her around this field. Very cute thing. And yeah, almost made me. I'm like, I want one I want to just pull over and grab one of their little piglets. I don't because that's illegal and wrong, but why not?

SPEAKER_01

Right. Right. I'm going to leave my my microphone mishap into the YouTube because I don't have any options.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

I'm no, we do. Oh, we do? Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. I'm Are you getting good at the editing? I'm about 20% good at it. Nice. It's taking so long. But I'm gonna leave that in there because just to show we all make mistakes. And I don't have a drinking problem.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

I have a Disney problem that includes drinking. Yeah. So your next one, because we did hey, hey. I did hey hey, I'm right on top of your hey hey. I did a boo. Okay. Well, let's talk a boo then, because I also have a boo.

SPEAKER_00

So I just thought I could use him to start a criminal enterprise stealing food from my local farmers.

SPEAKER_01

That's exactly kind of what I've had.

SPEAKER_00

So the yeah, that's the whole thing. And a boo, he's actually a really good character. And so it'd be, you know, it'd be fun. He's a animal, a pet that you could really have a good converse, one-sided conversation with.

Abu And The Snack Heist Economy

SPEAKER_01

Well, because he answers you, so yeah, like it's like he's really answering you. Yeah, he just is, you know, type of noise. That's the best impression we've ever had on our show of anything.

SPEAKER_00

Probably because of yeah, and but the telethon, those weren't impressions. Yeah, just a because everybody argues that. No, those were guests. I know. Those were real guests.

SPEAKER_01

It's weird how much they sounded just like us. Well, yeah. I think they were impersonated us.

SPEAKER_00

I think so.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, those guys. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So anyway, that's why is a boo for a criminal enterprise. That's yeah. I think he'd be a good monkey to have a beer with.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's a good one too. Yeah, I just had that, yeah. If you need a snack, he can just go grab one for you from anywhere if you're in a store anywhere you're at. He can just go get you a loaf of bread. Ballpark. Ooh. Take it to a take into a Yankee game. He'd go grab your hot dog. Yeah. That's a great idea. Boo, hot dog.

SPEAKER_00

Hot dog. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

That's a great idea.

SPEAKER_00

Excellent.

SPEAKER_01

So yours yours going again.

SPEAKER_00

No, I keep going again. This is your list. So this is where I hit on the the big three. Okay. Donald Duck. Oh. As a pet. As a pet. That would not go over well. So there'd be non-stop yelling. Like it would just be a constant fight in the house. Oh, he's very angry. He's a very angry duck. But he has all those human-like skills, so he'd actually be good around the house. He so he's one of those, he's like that kid that you have that complains about having to do chores, but they do the chores. So it's like, you know, they're complaining about doing the chores, but they're actually doing the chores. That would be Donald Duck. Yeah, I would go with Donald Duck. I can visualize him complaining about doing the chores right now. Yeah, vacuuming and dusting. Yeah. Because I I can bet he's a bit of a neat freak that he just has that personality about him.

SPEAKER_01

I think of I can think of Donald Duck dusting and wearing one of those maids hats as he did it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know what they're called.

SPEAKER_00

A maid's hat.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

That's what they're called.

SPEAKER_01

It's like a piece of crochet something they put on their head. A doily?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like a doily. A doily. Maid's doily. A maid's doily.

SPEAKER_01

Just made that up. That's a good one. So I get to go again?

SPEAKER_00

You now, yes, it is your turn.

SPEAKER_01

So I'm gonna go with the big ones too. Okay. I'm going Pluto.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

That's the best pet. Pluto's great. He because he is a pet. I know, but Pluto's classic. Yeah, he's the classic one. I mean, you can't have a list of pets you'd want to own without having Pluto on the list.

Pluto, Remy, And Chore Masters

SPEAKER_00

So a lot of this is speculation on what kind of pet they would actually be. Pluto, we have hard evidence. Right. Through countless movies, shorts of what kind of pet he would actually be.

SPEAKER_01

Toy Loyal.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

He's the other part of our youngest dog, the cuddling part.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he's got some Pluto qualities. And he's got great merchandise at DCA.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like that and Monsters Inc. was the only good merchandise.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know how I held back.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. She should Christy should say thank you, Aaron, for that because I'd have bought none of it and it was all great. And I like a Pluto.

SPEAKER_00

If she said thank you, Aaron, we would then say thank you, Christy, for that compliment.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, if she said thank you, Aaron, I might have a heart attack and pass out. Thank you, Christy. I don't know if I don't think she's listened to us in a while.

SPEAKER_00

So she'll listen to this in like six months. Yeah, I hope that continues. Come home and slap you around for a while. Yep. How many have you done? Is that was that your fifth?

SPEAKER_01

That was one, two, three. So you're going again. Yes. I did one, two, three, and then the two you have. So five. I have five.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so now my fifth, yeah. Remy. And this goes to me, Remy goes without saying.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's a good one, too.

SPEAKER_00

Because cooking is done. Fantastic meals every day. The only downside is feeding his 9,000 cousins who would probably come move in with you. And there is, they do hang out in the sewer, so there is a potential for disease, but you know, you you sometimes you make compromises. You trade a little disease for that good French cooking.

SPEAKER_01

True, and I just had a thought. What's that? What if Remy brings all his people with him? So you know how Remy's in your hat and he makes you do the cooking. Yeah. Right? What if you could have what if you had like ones that could like do other things too? And you just you had to do nothing. Oh, yeah. You just live your life as a zombie, and you had different Remy's relatives that jumped inside your hat and just did other things for you, like going to the lawn, going to work.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good point.

SPEAKER_01

They can just pull your hair all day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Walking out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you just walk around like a zombie all day long. Nice. And just go through life and then just take them out when you want to have relaxation time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Go to Disney. You can go to Disney without the rat.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That would be hard to sneak into Disney with a rat in your hat, but this is really good.

SPEAKER_01

I like this. I keep hitting my microphones. Okay. This setup is not working for my my style. Gotta flip it up a little bit. So next one. Oh it's my me again. Yes. Stitch. Stitch is my next one. And that's just because that's just because he's so loving. Is he an animal? Or because he's an alien.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. He's not on a he's on a mineral. Yeah. But I mean, would you call Christy an animal?

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_00

No. He's just a different species. He's an alien, but he's not really a pet animal.

SPEAKER_01

What is he to he's not he's not Lilo's friend? More of a pet.

SPEAKER_00

That might be debatable. But anyway.

Stitch’s Mayhem And Big Heart

SPEAKER_01

So why would you want this is my pet list, darn it?

SPEAKER_00

Late stage stitch. Not early stage where he's a bit mean and misnomer. Late stage.

SPEAKER_01

Because he's he loves he loves fiercely. Yes. Right.

SPEAKER_00

This is true.

SPEAKER_01

Totally loyal. Right. And there's again with the hey hey thing. Same idea. There's chaos everywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Entertainment in series. Everywhere. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Think of our idea we have for I don't know which one of us had the idea for a stitch lounge. That's all like 80s skater paint. I think that was yours. Probably. Yeah, but it was really good.

SPEAKER_00

That sounds like that sounds like something you'd come up with. Okay. Okay, your next one. Doug. Doug, I also have Doug. You also have Doug. And I mean, it just makes you're the one I thought of when I thought of Doug because you have two Dougs sitting out there in your kitchen waiting for us to finish up recording.

SPEAKER_01

They they do this when we record. They are told Doug's when we record.

SPEAKER_00

So he'll put up with you even as you get older and a lot grumpier in your disposition. And he does have that lab retriever neediness. It causes you to want to get away from me. Get away from me, dog. But he's just they're very lovable.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

There's not a lab or golden retriever. There's just not a bad bone in their body at all. And who doesn't want a pet that you can have an actual conversation with? Yes. And then there's the advantage that you could talk to him.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Totally talk to him. And he could talk back. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Doug's a good one. Yeah. So what what what caused you to add Doug to your to your list?

SPEAKER_01

Kind of the same thing you said. I mean, it's a pure I went pure like the pet loves you immediately.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Right? That's huge. The loyalness.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

Doug’s Pure Loyalty And Talk-Back

SPEAKER_01

And the goofiness. He is a total, he's a total Quincy, which is our youngest dog. As far as the as far as how happy he is. Yes. When he gets happy, not his whole personality. Yes. Just the when he gets really happy and excited and his whole body waves around.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. That's I can see that. Yeah. I thought he was good. He Doug is a good mix of both Quincy and Ripley.

SPEAKER_01

He is. He is.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Totally.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, totally. Doug's another no-brainer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Right around the same lines as Pluto. Exactly. Just a great pet.

SPEAKER_00

Great pet. Okay, so my next one. Your next one. Keenai. From Brother Bear.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. That's out of the left field. So granted. I like this. I like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And so granted, he's going to eat you in the end. It's just, it's not going to end well. But in the meantime, it just he'd be the coolest pet ever. A big old grizzly.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Does he have to is he gonna eat you in the end?

SPEAKER_00

I think so. Is he? I think he you'd get to that point where you're just trusting him, or but you forget to feed him one time, your dinner. Really? Yeah. That's kind of a bummer. I don't know. Because he is wild. He's a wild bear.

SPEAKER_01

That's a huge downer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I think it maybe I'm I'm my in my take, he doesn't do that. No, and the hope would be right. And he just he changes. He's one of the one bears. Maybe he teaches other bears. And all of a sudden bears are domesticated because of him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't think it works that way. But but you know, possibility. I don't know. Possibility, sure.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not a scientist. I don't know how these things work. Okay, next one. My next one is Pegasus from Hercules.

SPEAKER_00

That is actually my next one as well. Oh, jeez. Okay. See, I thought when you went with Maximus, that was going to be your only horse.

Big Companions: Kenai And Raja

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I didn't do uh, I just did, I just looked at all the characters and went with which ones. I didn't think of what kind of animal they were as I went down the list because I watched like 10 billion clips.

SPEAKER_00

When I pulled up a list, it actually broke them down by animal.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I didn't, yeah. Yeah. So I just started I just started putting like top top 50 Disney. That's what I did. So I just watched cards, I just watched clips.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

All morning.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I like him because he's a well, he's a flying horse, you can get anywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Right. That's transportation.

SPEAKER_00

That was my biggest thing right then. The transportation aspect of an apegasis.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, if you've ever met my daughter, you would you know I like a good side eye. Because Michaela could give a nice, yeah, like sarcastic side eye.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And I've got a dog that gives pretty good, a Pomeranian that gives pretty good side eye.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Ripley's good at that too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like Which is really funny for coming from a little tiny dog.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but Michaela's is an all-time classic.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It says there's so many words. Yes. And they're different words depending on what kind of side eye she gives you. Yeah. It could be a it could be a sad side eye. I need something from you, side eye. Never say anything like that me again, side eye. Right? There's so many of those that Michaela has. So that's why Pegasus is the Michaela of this group. The Michaela of Yeah. That's my oldest child. In a nutshell.

SPEAKER_00

The only downside is because you're saving commute time expenses and stuff, but you'd have to move a little more out in the country so that you could get some acreage. It was to be the only one that would be a little tricky. Because and I thought about this. That even though he can fly, and maybe he could fly over to another field or something, you're still like thinking about a pegasis or pegasus in your backyard. It's not feasible.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

In in like in an urban backyard.

SPEAKER_01

What if you just had land somewhere?

SPEAKER_00

That would work too.

SPEAKER_01

Because he could fly. It would just have to be right outside the town.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. It couldn't be too far away because then how would you summon him when you need to go to work in the morning and you wanted that free commute? Right. You could zap him and get a caller that gives him a little not a bad zap, but just a little, hey, come get me.

SPEAKER_01

It could be a beep.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Oh, beep.

SPEAKER_01

You don't have to have a zap.

SPEAKER_00

Well, if it was noisy outside, like a high big window. You got an earpiece.

SPEAKER_01

Oh Pegasus horse horse airpods.

SPEAKER_00

Horse AirPods. There we go.

SPEAKER_01

Come on, Apple.

SPEAKER_00

Get on it, Apple.

SPEAKER_01

Pet AirPods are a new thing. I don't care if you talk to him when they're outside.

SPEAKER_00

I don't care if Steve Jobs is dead. You can innovate.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_01

I don't even know where that came from.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, because I could see Steve Jobs, if that was a real need that he thought the world had, I would see him innovating something like that. I recently just watched the Jobs or one of those Steve Jobs movies. Which is why.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the one was really good. The one I watched, I don't know what it was. It might have been Ashton Kutcher. He didn't play Steve Jobs, did he?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so one of them has Ashton Kutcher and the other has Michael Fassbender. That must have been the one I watched. And I think one is called Steve and the other is called Jobs.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, inventive. Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_00

It's like, oh, they called it Jobs. What do we call ours?

SPEAKER_01

Let's call Steve. Steve. That's like the old Bob Newhart. Yeah. There was the Bob Newhart show. There was New Heart. There's Bob. That was his last show he had. That's hilarious.

SPEAKER_00

He would be a good pet. Bob Newhart? Hilarious. Okay. So we covered Pegasus. Do you have two left? I have one left. Okay, so I have two. Okay. So we both have two. Should I you want me to go?

SPEAKER_01

Go ahead. Okay. We're just flowing here.

SPEAKER_00

So my next one, Scrooge McDuck.

SPEAKER_01

You like pet ducks?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I've I mean there's two ducks, and I didn't do launch pad McQuack. You're like or Huey Dewey and Louie.

SPEAKER_01

You're like Joey and Chandler.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, there you go. I could have a pet duck. Pet duck.

SPEAKER_01

So tell me why he's the only interesting to me.

SPEAKER_00

He's the only pet you could have that's not a financial drain, but a financial asset. Because you could make a killing charging him rent. You could actually charge your pet rent. Because he has so much money? Because he has so much money. Yeah. Well if he left though. He couldn't. He's your pet. Oh, so it's can Ripley or or or have no money.

SPEAKER_01

They could be billionaires.

SPEAKER_00

But they could just wander off and decide to go live someplace else.

SPEAKER_01

I think if Quincy was a billionaire, he might bounce.

SPEAKER_00

He might have a high rise somewhere. He probably would bounce. I don't think Ripley would Ripley would stay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Ripley would stay and probably contribute to the household.

SPEAKER_00

But see, that's my my fantasy that he would pay.

SPEAKER_01

I think Quincy would have a loft in the city.

SPEAKER_00

He probably would. Some place he could bring the ladies over, be undisturbed.

SPEAKER_01

Oh. This has turned sideways, people. This is still a Disney show, everyone. So yeah, that's that's a you what are ducks? No more ducks? Is that I'm out of ducks.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I'm out of ducks.

SPEAKER_01

But you had all your ducks in a row.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. No, actually, they were we had to jump for the next duck. My next one is Raja from Aladdin. I thought about going with him because he was a tiger. I like a tiger. There's a lot of tigers to choose from.

SPEAKER_01

There is.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because you get jungle book. Right. Oh, that's a good one, too. And I'm forgetting. His name.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know it.

SPEAKER_00

Even though I just looked at it. It took me a lot to make sure I got Raja correctly. Anyway.

Scrooge McDuck And Rent Money

SPEAKER_01

But Raja is like like a um chameleon. He's my emotional support tiger.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Right? Because he's there for you at all times. He's not afraid to bite a head off.

SPEAKER_00

So Raja is my Kenai. Kini is my Raja. Yeah. Maybe that's how I should say it. Yeah. Yeah. I think those are the equivalent. Right. They could kill you, but why not have one?

SPEAKER_01

But he's not Raja's never gonna kill his owner, but he would kill your dad if your dad talked crap to you. Like he almost did to probably attack yes. He attacked Jasmine's dad like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Willing to kill the king. The sultan, sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's one of my top ones, I think, is Rajah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. That's that he's a good one. He's a good one. He is a good one. What's your next one? My last one.

SPEAKER_01

Your last one.

SPEAKER_00

Is Cusco.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So the llama from Emperor's New Groove.

SPEAKER_01

So dumb.

SPEAKER_00

You know, he's never coming into the house. You know, there's lots of spitting and general, unpleasant disposition. But if you like sarcastic humor, he is the one. He is the pet for you. Yeah. Like you you could just be laughing all day at just his entitled sarcasm. I know.

SPEAKER_01

That quick win. Yeah. I think I think that's number one for me is the sarcastic.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

Closing Picks: Cusco And Nana

SPEAKER_01

Kind of loving sarcastic thing. And laughing. Laughing with your pets is number one, I think. And all the things, yeah. All the things we talked about so far. Well, number good number two is just pure loving. Right? But but the funny thing is the laughing with your pet, laughing at what your pet does. Yeah. That makes you the happiest, I think, of having a pet at laughing at them. Yes. As yeah. Like, why does Quincy jump all over a house like he's Tigger? Exactly. He's mostly he mo he has Tigger, he has tigger energy like crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And so just laughing at him all day long. That's one of our that's one of the funniest things. That's one of the best things about having a pet.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's funny, and he doesn't do it often, but Rigby, yeah, the Pomeranian, when he's so he naps a lot. It's intense playing followed by very long naps. But he does his little wolf howl while he's sleeping. He'll have a dream or something, and all of a sudden he'll like a couple barks and then oh woo. And it's really long. And it is. It's a woo. That's his little howl. A woo. Yeah, little tiny four-pound dog howling. That's funny.

SPEAKER_01

Hilarious. That's funny. Our son's our son's fiance, Addie, guest of the show. Yes, former guest. Former guest of the show. Hopefully, future guest of the show. She her family has a great dane. Oh. So they have a great dane and a boston terrier. Oh, okay. A crazy pair. The great dane will the great dane will eat stuff off the counter without even lifting his chin.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And the Boston Terrier, though, saw that and he will leap on the counter. He'll oh his might and grab something.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he grabbed a he grabbed an entire taco off the plate of Addy's dad when he got up just for a second. I was sitting right there. I didn't, he was so fast. I didn't notice. I was sitting right next to right on the table next.

SPEAKER_00

That's funny.

SPEAKER_01

He jumped up and grabbed it and was gone.

SPEAKER_00

I always wanted to get a Boston Terrier and name him Yankee. That was just yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I can't think of an opposite. I was trying to think of something Yankee would I can't think of a man.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and there's an animal. There's not, but it works perfectly to get a Boston Terrier and name him Yankee. Anyway. Name him Jeter. There you go. Your last one.

Listener Challenge And Sign-Off

SPEAKER_01

My last one is this is a good one. This is a great one. Okay. This is outside the box a little bit. Nana from Peter Pan. Wendy's dog. Oh. Okay. I watched clips today and she sold me. I mean, she just a total nurse. Nana's a nanny. Yeah. Nanny dog, pretty much. Nanny dog. Okay. She does everything for the children of the house. Like a medicine tray in her head.

SPEAKER_00

It's been so long since I've seen that.

SPEAKER_01

I know you need to watch it again. That's that's one of the things that sparked me a day. I said, I need to watch Peter Pan again.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I need to watch Aladdin again. And I really need to watch Tangled again.

SPEAKER_00

I watched Aladdin recently. And then in the last few months I've watched Tangled, but I did like I said, I didn't get to finish it.

SPEAKER_01

But Peter Pan is a great movie by itself, but then Nana is such a small role.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Right just in the beginning. But a quality. Yeah. A quality role. Yeah, I watched the clips. The clips are hilarious. Just Nana helping out Wendy doing all the stuff around the house. Oh. Isn't that cool?

SPEAKER_00

A dog who can do chores is yeah, that's golden.
