We almost wrote off the Snake Eye Margarita as a watery miss and then one tiny fix changed the whole verdict. That sets the tone for a surprisingly perfect pairing: a Disney drink from Roundup Rodeo Barbecue in Toy Story Land, plus a fresh rewatch of Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 as Toy Story 5 approaches. We talk through what’s actually in the margarita, why agave matters, and how a refreshing watermelon and lime combo can cut through the heaviness of barbecue.

Then we get into why Toy Story (1995) still works beyond nostalgia. Pixar’s early computer animation is easy to spot now, but the writing, pacing, and character chemistry carry it. We revisit the funniest one-liners, how Woody’s jealousy drives the story, and why Buzz and Woody become one of the best duos in movie history. Randy Newman’s music gets its flowers too, because that sound is baked into the emotional memory of the whole franchise.

Toy Story 2 (1999) takes a different swing, and we love how bold it is. The sequel leans hard into growing up, loss, and what it means to be loved, and Jessie becomes the secret weapon that makes the story hit deeper than it has any right to. We also zoom out into the voice acting debate, including why great voice performances are not “easy,” and how Pixar’s casting choices changed the industry. Along the way, we drop behind-the-scenes trivia, Easter eggs, and the kind of details that make a rewatch even more fun.

If you laughed, disagreed, or suddenly want to rewatch the whole series, subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review so more Disney and Pixar fans can find us. What’s your pick: Toy Story 1 or Toy Story 2?

Mixing The Snake Eye Margarita

SPEAKER_01

Today we're having a Snake Eye Margarita from Roundup Rodeo Barbecue at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Welcome to Tears Tears.

SPEAKER_00

Old Fashion Manhattan. We'll talk back to From Future Land to the Wild Frontier. Disney talk on Tears Two Years.

SPEAKER_01

All right, welcome back. That was the most chaotic opening we've ever had. This is our second try. We don't usually don't do two takes of anything. No. We usually just record through and it usually ends up pretty good. Small editing things.

SPEAKER_02

I made a mistake with the drink. I didn't add the agave that's in it. Why don't you tell us what's in this drink and then we'll get into our mistake.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so is this the Snake Hard margarita from Roundup Rodeo Barbecue? I was gonna say it wrong again. I just said it. Terramana Blanco tequila, watermelon juice, lime juice, agave, smoked chili bitters, and it's only $16.50, Aaron. Well, that is Disney cheap. That is Disney cheap.

SPEAKER_02

So we did two ounces of Pesado tequila, three ounces of watermelon juice, dash of smoked chili bitters, and about a half ounce of we did lime juice too. So about three-quarters of an ounce of lime juice and about a half ounce of the agave syrup. About. Yeah, right about there. So I forgot to add the agave syrup and it wasn't good. It was very watery. It didn't really come together.

SPEAKER_01

We're about ready to just dog the drink. I was about ready to dog the drink when we started. And we don't get to do that, so I was kind of excited in a way that we found a bad drink because we've had the one really bad drink.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And then we've had a bunch of okay drinks, but we haven't really liked it. This was gonna be in the bad, but the agave switched it. It saved it. It saved the drink.

SPEAKER_02

Because now it's very much like a margarita. Now it's a good drink. It didn't taste like a margarita before. It tasted like a watery, slightly tequila, slight watermelon flavor. You could get a little bit of the smoked chili bitters. Right.

SPEAKER_01

This took the smoked chili bitters out of the play, kind of more. I've tasted too much of the chili bitters. Yeah, I think so. With the water. With the water. It was more water than melon. Yes. Going on. It was very watery. It was weird. I don't think this is the best watermelon juice. We use simply watermelon juice.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

From the grocery store, but it's the best I could find.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Unless you want to spend like for the six dollar little bottle of personal tiny.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's not what they use at Disney.

SPEAKER_02

Odd Walla. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They don't use that. They use something like this. Yeah, they use two.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. By the gallon.

SPEAKER_01

They make so many of them. So not a bad drink. Not a bad drink. It's for a margarita, it's not bad. Tequila's not my favorite. I don't, I'm not ride or die tequila, but this is pretty good for a tequila drink. No, but we've had some good tequila drinking. Well, no, I think you can make a good drink. Yeah. I was excited for this drink though, because I'm a huge watermelon fan. Yeah, I am too. And this what this didn't this isn't the best. It could be better. We've had better margaritas. Right. This could be better.

SPEAKER_02

This isn't top tier. The signature breezy marg was an excellent margarita, but it had Quantro. This um yeah, that's yeah, this is a good drink.

SPEAKER_01

It's a good drink.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Whoa, that was crazy. But I kind of wondered as I as we were thinking about dogging this drink, I was like, well, if I'm sitting there eating a bunch of barbecue, how would this go with a bunch of barbecue? And I thought it's pretty good as far as kind of cutting through the heaviness of barbecue and the greasiness and stuff. This would be a good supplementary brisket. Yeah. All that sausage. This would go well with it. You kind of need something to it's it is very refreshing.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But it was like flavored water before. It was. And this made it a lot better.

SPEAKER_01

This it got better. I'm glad we read the ingredients when we start, and that saved it. If we wouldn't have read the ingredients, we would have just like went on. Because that reminded me. We made this drink of success.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I missed I missed something.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_01

And we'll see how this records. This might be we might have a blooper reel because we recorded the whole fiasco. Oh, yeah. Then we started the whole episode over. I deleted the recording, but the YouTube version. I still have it on video, yeah. So we'll see what

Why Toy Story 1 Still Hits

SPEAKER_01

happens. But we're talking Toy Story 1 and 2 today. Which is why this comes from Andy's Backyard. Right. It comes from Roundup Rodeo Barbecue. It comes from Toy Story Land. Toy Story Land. The official name. We call it Andy's Backyard.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I thought it was the official name was Andy's Backyard.

SPEAKER_01

The official name on the app, and if you go to Disney World app, Toy Story Land. Oh, I always thought it was Andy's Backyard. Us people call it Andy's Backyard. Oh, okay. That's for the that's for the cool Disney adults. Yeah. We call it that. But we're talking Toy Story One and Two because Toy Story Five is either out right now or it's coming out soon. This Friday. So after the recording.

SPEAKER_02

The 19th of June. This probably won't be out until early July. Right.

SPEAKER_01

So we'll record, we're gonna have Toy Story 1 and 2. The next week we're gonna do Toy Story 3 and 4.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And then maybe we'll see five and then review that. We could. That's a good idea. Yeah. That's what was suggested to me today.

SPEAKER_02

That means having to go down to a movie. I know we just don't do the theaters. I stink at that. I know, me too. I would say I'm going to. I tried to go see Hopper and it just didn't happen. We talked about it every week and we never read it. We did. It just it was me because it was right around my birthday, and it was me trying to coordinate a bunch of people's schedules, and it just didn't happen. So eh, eh, meh. Let's talk Toy Story movies. Okay. This is a great topic. So both these 1995 and 1999 is when these came out, which to think about, it's 31 years old. Wow. Can you believe that? Yeah. And but I remember the computer because it's computer animation. Changed everything. And just being amazed of how how good it looked as computer animation. And now you look back and it's like well, yeah, you can see it. You can really see it in the dogs. Between the first and second movie, the dog, the way that he was drawn, improved tremendously. Right. Everything else improved a little bit, but that's where you really notice. And I think as later as it goes on, the dogs get better and better looking as far as more realistic.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah. Watching these again, I wouldn't have watched them again like this if we weren't doing this. So this is cool. Yeah. I don't just sit down and watch Toy Story movies. And I forgot how good these two movies are.

SPEAKER_02

And it's interesting. So they both had different feel, a different feel to them. The first one, more comedy, one-liners, trying to be funny. The second one was just pulling at your your heartstrings type of stuff. Oh, yeah. It was like, you know, when somebody loves you. And it's really cool though. Randy Newman was the composer for all the songs and everything. That's he's still kicking.

SPEAKER_01

He's still kicking. He's still rolling. He just did a live version of You Got a Friend and Me with Taylor Swift. Oh, because she does a song on the new movie. Oh, that's right. That's right. And he was out there playing. It was great because she sang part of it, and you can see how happy she was just to be standing next to him singing. Because he's a he's an American legend. Yes. By now he is completely an American legend. I love LA. Short people. But this is what made him an American legend. You got a friend who changed everything.

SPEAKER_02

Before that, he was just a kind of a quirky adult.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Gen X liked him, maybe some boomer humor.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah. Anyway. But yeah, I kind of stress how much Toy Story changed the whole arc of animated movies. It did. And what we're doing. What Pixar did. Yeah. It changed everything. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm glad D Disney bought him out. And I got to thinking about uh be when they changed it over to Pixar Pier at California Adventure. I went to the opening of that and I paid it was like 300 bucks. And you got like a a big goodie bag and you got to try all the food and it was close to everybody else. So I got to ride in credit coaster like 10 times or something in the evening. Just the and there was at a certain point there's no more lines. Right. So you just get on things and just go over and over again to the point where you're, you know, you're starting. Okay, I'm really just sick of that. And you almost want to leave. But yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Can you get sick of a credit coaster? I think I could ride it 30 times. I don't know. I wrote it a lot that night. What are my number is on a credit coaster? And I can go all the other rides in Pixar Pier, I could probably get sick of pretty fast. But Credit Coaster, no. Yeah. And it's one of my favorite shops. I mean, we're not talking about Pixar Pier today. No.

SPEAKER_02

But anyway, I guess we're talking about to Pixar Pier was a good idea. It was a great idea. Yeah. And yeah, go ahead.

Best One Liners And Laughs

SPEAKER_02

Let's get into okay, Great One-Liners. Great one liners. The day. Kiss your wife and Tater Tots goodbye. Yeah. To Mr. Potato Head. So as Andy is is playing with all of his toys, and he's making up, they're making up different lines. Because he he's got all of his toys in different scenarios. And yeah, hilarious. Kiss your wife and tater tots goodbye. Yeah. Woody calls Buzz Lightyear Mr. Lightbeer. Towards the beginning of that after they meet. What was there? Was another one? Stop at you zealots. So the minion, or the not the minions, but the little green aliens. In the claw. Yeah, because they kept holding on to him. It's like Stop It You Zealots.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, such such great stuff. The chemistry of the of all the characters for an animated movie. The chemistry between Tim Allen and Tom Hanks is insane.

SPEAKER_02

Amazing. They have in all four of those movies, they've never recorded together. That's crazy. They've never been in the same room recording at the same time. So during the first one, he recorded Tom Hanks recorded his scenes during A League of Their Own and Sleepy Sleepless in Seattle. I can't believe that movie's this movie's that old. And he did that before he recorded, did Philadelphia and Forrest Gump because he didn't want to go do this in the middle of doing those movies, which a little heavy. Up and down. Yeah. Yeah. He wanted to do them during comedy. So yeah, which was like two years, three years before this came out, which is how long it takes to produce these movies and everything. Well, when you consider the fifth one's out and it's been 31 years. So yeah, they take a while.

Voice Acting And On Screen Stars

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've had a I had a quite a long discussion/slash argument with my father over animated voice actors versus non-animated voice actors, like movie actors. Of who? Of them doing my father's belief, his side of the argument was anyone could do it, it's really easy to be an animated voice actor. I said it's so hard, and to know they I mean that's still my my thought. My thought is still that it's it's a very hard job. Yes. That's why no one could everyone just doesn't do it. If it was anyone could do it, they would hire me and you to go be a voice actor for 50 bucks. Well, yeah. I would go be in a move, I would have my voice in the movie for fifty fifty dollars. Oh, yeah. Easy. But these they're paying millions of dollars. Look how much like people make to make these movies.

SPEAKER_02

That's been one of the complaints recently is because they're getting and it worked out now. Tim Allen back in the mid-90s and Tom Hanks, very huge actors during that time. So it worked out, but they said that now they're always getting these big name actors, and it's kind of kicking it's kicking voice actors to the curb who are losing out on these parts because they think that they have to go get a big name actor. But you see, and you think about so before Toy Story, like Jody Benson, who played Ariel. Uh-huh. Nobody knows who any of the actors were but Robin Williams is definitely a special case for being the genie because he can convey that energy with his voice. It's a tough thing. I which is why, yeah, you can't you can't just put anybody in there. You've got to get like really trained voice actors.

SPEAKER_01

It's different than being a and I get his argument that you're on screen and every visual thing you do also counts, where it's just your voice, yeah, when you're on the microphone. But but it's a thing, it's hard. Yeah, because you have to convey right. And so my point with all this is to record it separate times and still have the chemistry they did is incredible because Buzz and Woody, two of the best combos in movie history, I would argue, in all of movie history, not just animated. Buzz Lightyear and Woody. Come on, those two are like they're ride or dies now. Oh, they are, yeah. No, they went from Buzz trying to trying to murder the guy, right? Which was I forgot that happened when I started watching Toy Story One. I knew that it's like how I didn't know Woody was such a jerk.

SPEAKER_02

That's the I remembered a little bit, but not not to that extent. It's like, oh yeah, he really was bent out of shape. Right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he plotted a murder for Buzz before he came around and totally was Buzz's biggest fan.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. You know what was interesting when you go back and you watch all four of these movies, and then now going to see the fifth, or thinking about when we watch four, you get that Woody and Bo Peep relationship for the fourth one, and why then it becomes tempting, even though we didn't haven't watched, but I do remember that why it was tempting for him to stay because of that relationship he had with Bo Peep. So interesting there. Jim Varney was in because he was the original Slinky Dog. Yeah. And then they switched it to he's the one of the older guys, I can't remember his name.

SPEAKER_01

Did he pass away?

SPEAKER_02

He did. He did. And he Ernest P. Warrell.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. I loved him.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. He was he was great, and he had they got really great voices for this. I mean, Wallace Sean, Inconceivable. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Right. So Princess Bride. Princess Bride. They got him. Of course, this is where John Ratzenberger got his start with being in every Pixar movie.

SPEAKER_01

Has he still been in? He still hasn't been in every, has he? Yes, he's still going to every Pixar movie. I thought he kind of his I was so I was wondering if his streak ended and he's coming back for five, or he's been in every one still. I think he has smaller parts. Right. Yeah. No, any part's good. Two lines is like still in a movie.

SPEAKER_02

But he's still in the he's been in every one of the Pixar movies.

SPEAKER_01

But he's one of the best characters in Toy Story. He has great lines. Yes. He has great lines in the first two movies. Some of his lines, I didn't write down any lines because I know you're a line guy, and I knew you'd have all the that one just struck me because they were so funny.

SPEAKER_02

And it didn't they didn't have those zingers in the second one quite as much.

SPEAKER_01

And the Toy Store, the Toy Store, they kind of did, though. They had lots of them. Lots of little down words of Toy Stores of a Toys R Us stuff. They had those, but not like Barbie given the tour.

SPEAKER_02

Like lines towards the oh, yes. That kind of the hidden gem of like because back in 1995, they didn't order enough toys. Right. Which was true. In 1995, they didn't they thought this was gonna flop and they didn't order enough Woody and Buzz Lightyear toys. Uh-huh. And so the stores ran out for like Christmas and everything.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Oh, one of the funniest lines, I think it was by Buzz. I don't believe that man has ever been to medical school. Oh, yes. When Sid was operating.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, that was hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

I had I actually laughed out loud on that one. I had Mr. Lightbeer was the one that got me and actually Kisher Wife and Tater Tots goodbye. But the Sid Phillips, okay. I had, and that was after a real guy who worked at Disney named Sid Phillips who would take apart toys and put them back together. He would make these monstrosities. It wasn't like a great villain. But I had a friend, I think his name was Timmy.

SPEAKER_01

Timmy.

SPEAKER_02

He he was Sid. He was constantly like you destroyed toys. I love Sid for the pleasure of it. It's a great character. Because you're going to Oogie Boogie Bash and Sid is is there. Right. Roasting the crowd. So that'll be yeah, that'll be fun.

SPEAKER_01

I I like Sid a lot. Yeah. I liked watching him again. He's he's probably the best villain in the four movies. Let's just talk about him in the two movies, because we're just doing two today. Yeah. In the two movies, Sid's the best villain. We'll talk about it next week more. But yeah, I had the great chemistry between the people, the the visual masterpiece. We talked about that. The Toy Story was for its time. For its time. Toy Story One. And the great story, the great story it was of jealousy and change of a person.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. You know, this it was the first animated film nominated for best screenplay for the Oscar. First animated. Yeah. I did not know that. Because it was such a great movie. Right. It was so well written.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Which is best original screenplay? Best original screenplay. That in my opinion is the best Oscar of the of the night. Best original screenplay is the best movie of the year, in my opinion. Yeah. Whoever wins that, someone thought a lot. They wrote a great movie. That's why Goodwill Hunting won a best original screenplay, but Titanic won best picture. Because Titanic's a not a superior movie. No, no. Hunting stands way better over time because of the writing. There were so many better movies. Right. Such great writing is what is what they had.

Toy Story 2 And Sequel Greatness

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, so for Toy Story 2, I just thought my main point of Toy Story 2 was that it should not be as good as it was. Toy Story 2? It was so good. It was. You don't make sequels like that. Who makes a sequel like that? Godfather 2. So does it is it equal to Godfather 2 as far as a sequel goes? Yes, I think so. Like not as far as good movies. But as far as far as as compared to the movies.

SPEAKER_02

Because it it switched it up. It wasn't as much about that slapstick. It was about that emotional, like these toys and that separation and growing up and right the changes that causes and Jesse and everything, and then they're playing that music and stuff. It was like, okay, this is that that was my next point.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That every emo they've every emotion was in the toy store. When they were in the toy store, every emotion was shown. Oh, yeah. It could have been an inside out. It was a prequel to inside out with all the emotions.

SPEAKER_02

So a couple of things I noticed for the first one when they're riding, and I forgot what the remote control car's name was. And so they're right at the end, trying to catch up to the semi, the moving truck, when they lit the firework to launch into there, they left a controller on the ground. They it was kind of a a goof in the movie where they just kind of forgot about it. But I just thought, now he doesn't have he's a remote control car without a remote control. Right. So it he just rendered that toy useless. He did. It was like, wow, you just sacrificed. You sacrificed a toy to save yourself. To save yourself, you sons of sons of something. Then what was it? Oh, and I completely believe this. Okay. Andy's mom is Riley from Inside Out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that that's been said a lot.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's all part of the same universe. Right. And I think a lot of these are, and they try to turn time in together. Right. But yes, Riley is Andy's mom is Riley from Inside Out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I like I like that. I like it a lot. So I have um one more thing on Toy Story 2. Okay. And then I'm done with my movie like thing. And then I just have one like other thing. But I think that Jesse is one of the best characters added to a sequel of all time. Oh yeah. Yeah. Right. And so I started thinking about that when I was watching us like she's good a great character that wasn't in the first one at all.

SPEAKER_02

Because she carried the emotional aspect of the loss and all of that.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So then I started thinking, who are the top five characters added to a sequel of all time? And I started deep diving into that. Oh, did you? I have a list. I have my top five. Who are they? My number one. I'm gonna one to five. Okay. Number one Yoda in Part Straight Spec. Top, I mean, it's unquestionable, Yoda. Yes. Number two, Sirius Black from Harry Potter Prisoner of Arkham. Arkabun. Sorry. As Caban. I wrote I my Z sucks on my paper. If I had better writing, I would I would I think my pronunciation would be better if I had better writing. This is why I type out usually. I don't type anything out. I do everything freehand. It's all just I did this at four this morning. I sat at my computer and I wrote this stuff down. Number three, T1000 from Terminator 2. Yeah. Great.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Added character.

SPEAKER_02

Up the villain.

SPEAKER_01

Change the movies. The villainy. Yep. Uh-huh. Number four, Captain Barbarossa. Pirates, Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl. But that was the first one. That was the second one, right? No. Curse of the Black Pearl was the first one. Did I get one wrong? Well. Anyway, I thought he was added on the second movie. He wasn't in the first movie?

SPEAKER_02

No, he was in the first movie because Jack Sparrow had stolen the ship from him. That was the whole basis of it. But was the first one?

SPEAKER_01

Anyway. Okay, anyway. Number five. Number five is he was in the first this guy's in the first movie too, but I have a reason for this one. Okay. It's Agent Smith for The Matrix. Okay. He was in the first movie, but he was in the first movie times a billion in the second movie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Whole different character.

SPEAKER_02

He was a different. Yeah. They decided to. Well, I don't know if they had previously decided, but they I had a sixth one too.

SPEAKER_01

I should have that guy instead of Captain Barbarossa. Anyway, that was my top five all-time. So coming back to Barbarossa. Except for Barbarossa.

SPEAKER_02

So the second one, putting the bloopers at the end. Oh, yeah. That was a great addition.

SPEAKER_01

Did all movies do that back then, or they just kind of start that?

SPEAKER_02

I think they started that of animation movies adding in bloopers. That's hilarious. Yeah, that was a funny it's because movies were doing that, but to add in that in an animated was funny. So the one Of the commercials for Cowboy Crunchy Cereal, the only cereal coated in sugar and dipped in chocolate. They're watching the old recordings of Woody's Roundup, the TV show, in the second in the second movie. So as they're giving Woody, here's your history, here's our history of where we came from, the idea of us as toys. And he wasn't just a standalone toy, he was part of this group. And yeah, so they cut to a commercial, and it's Cowboy Crunchy's cereal, the only cereal coated in sugar and dipped in chocolate.

SPEAKER_01

That's hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

Which sounds like a really 50s thing to do, but I thought the dogs. And I'm curious now to watch three and four because the dog is where you see the most improvement on the animation abilities. Although another thing in the second is Wheezy, the penguin. Uh-huh. They said that it was the dust moving because when they pulled him out, he was up on the shelf. That was the most objects, computer animated objects that they'd ever had moving at the same time, is to recreate the dust with the computer animation. It was something about like that was the most that they'd ever done up to that point. Right. Or and I don't know if since, but yeah. Kind of uh just interesting just seeing that growth with what they're doing. It's kind of we're seeing the same thing with AI now, but just thinking that somebody sitting behind the computer is able to do even more as computing power goes up and everything like that. But yeah, both really good movies.

Animation Breakthroughs And Wild Trivia

SPEAKER_01

I have really quick some crazy facts about the first two movies. I'll just go through them really quick. Buzz was almost a toy soldier instead of a spaceman. Like Arlie Ermry's part, he was almost that guy with hand grenades and a G.I. Joe kind of guy. I think I heard something about that. That was a huge portion of the movie files from Toy Story 2 were deleted accidentally. Yes. Right? But luckily, a per a production assistant, a technical director, had a backup at home.

SPEAKER_02

Because she was out on maternity. Yeah. It was crazy. They almost lost most of the movie. So that woman who had that movie on her home computer and saved a vast portion of it, she was actually laid off by Pixar in 2023. Oh. Can you imagine that? So almost 30 years later, she actually 30 years. She'd been working for the city.

SPEAKER_01

She made the company billions.

SPEAKER_02

And because she had the thing. She got laid off. Wow. In 2023.

SPEAKER_01

That I didn't know that one. Which, yeah, you think, really? You're gonna lay that person off? The cone of shame that Woody had to put on after Buzz did his flight. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Hilarious flight. I could fly. See, I could do it. That was an accident. Yeah. Right? They made it put on the cone of shame. That became lore in a cone of shame's a thing now because of Woody. And that's that's hilarious.

SPEAKER_02

So it hasn't always been called the cone of shame.

SPEAKER_01

It was invented there. Oh, interesting. Okay. That's funny. The all the Alice Toy Barn Easter eggs, right? Like like the Pixar ball box on the shelf. Yes. Right? The all just they have a bunch of them. The the bear from the next movie that we're gonna talk about next week. Yeah. He's on the shelf. And all the channel surfing things are Pixar shorts. Pixar shorts. Right. When he yeah. That's hilarious. As he goes through. That's hilarious. And the last one I have, I think it's great when um when um Emperor Zerg, uh that whole scene. That's a great scene. The I am your father. Yeah. That's just that's just a great scene. Hey dad. And the whole switchy roo.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. But they're just and then they're acting like completely goofy at the end. Yeah, that I love that. It wasn't like the Luke thing at all.

SPEAKER_01

They no, they just went with hey boy, cooking starts out with the same thing though.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it there's a lot, there were a lot of Easter eggs like that. There's so many. There's too many to talk about. It was really good. Zootopia probably outdid them with Easter eggs. Oh, Zootopia 2. That's Zootopia 2, but that's kind of how it that's part of the fun, I think, of watching these movies is seeing and trying to catch all of those Easter eggs. Right.

SPEAKER_01

Whereas Hoping Five does something amazing. Have no idea yet.

I saw I did watch the preview, the trailer on Disney Plus. Maybe I'll have to go watch that. It's now I'm wondering it'll still be in the theater in a couple weeks. Yeah. Maybe I'll try to go see it in Tahoe one day.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Like in the middle of the week, they've got a theater downtown. Alrighty.

Final Rankings And Listener Shoutouts

SPEAKER_02

Go see that in the middle of the day.

SPEAKER_01

That's our Toy Story One and Two breakdown. Yep. I think two great movies. Two great movies. Better drink than we thought. The drink improved. Right. Just like Toy Story Two. Mm-hmm. It improved.

SPEAKER_02

So I I was gonna say which do you like better? But I like them both the same.

SPEAKER_01

I don't have an opinion on that because they're different. And I think I really like Toy Story One and Two is really, really good. So I don't have a I can't really rank them like that. Toy Story One, you'd have to give the edge for being the first. For being the first. Toy Story Two, it's incredible in a movie. Not many sequels live up to the first.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And the fact that they've been able to do four and they've all been great.

SPEAKER_01

And we'll talk about the next two next week. And we'll probably have a little different opinions next week on three and four, but we shall see. Possibly. I haven't watched them.

SPEAKER_02
