Hey, have you guys ever seen a video on Instagram and you're like, Oh, this video is clearly targeted towards me. You know, and it's like, a really cute town that Instagram wants me to take my wife to. And it's like a fall town, it's autumn. And then you start watching the video and you're like, Yeah, I could totally see my wife going to this candle shop.

She's gonna smell everything and be like, we should buy this. And then of course, she's not gonna buy anything. Then she's gonna walk around and pet all the dogs that we see all the time and I'm gonna be like, Honey, we gotta go. And then of course she's gonna be like,

, hey, I really think we should live here. And I'm like, I don't think that we should really live there. We're really happy in LA. And then halfway through your time [00:01:00] watching this video, you realize, Wait a minute. I don't have a wife. Is that a problem? Can I still go?

Welcome everybody to a brand new episode of spiritual asshole. I am your host Brendan Fitzgibbons That's what we call a one joke wonder up the top y'all I really did have that thought recently and I also had this thought cuz last week we spent time talking about the election I just want to say one more thing

first of all, welcome to a brand new episode of spiritual asshole. I am your host, Brennan Fitzgibbons. Thank you as always for being here as always on this podcast, I want to preach a message of peace, love, green juice, three coffees and anxiety. And one of the things that I thought was really, interesting after the election last week was.

All the people posting on the left being like, If you voted for Donald Trump, you stand for hate, misogyny, sexism, racism, homophobia. and you are completely not tolerant. Which is why, you are a piece of shit, and I hate you. And [00:02:00] do not be my friend, because you are intolerant, I hate you. you do not know how to tolerate people, I hate you.

Guys, I get it. I understand, let's go back to the fact that our DNA is 99. 99 percent the same as everybody else. and think about this too. If you want to write off half of the 80 million people who wrote for Trump, That's 80 million doors you are closing.

That's 80 million people that you can meet that could change your life. That's 80 million free drinks at a Hooters in La Crosse, Wisconsin. honestly, like on a really deep level on a real human level, let's get past these labels. Like we're going to transcend all of this y'all. And.

I understand the anger and by the way, the other side's doing it too. Like, yeah, that's right. Fuck you guys. Everybody hates the woke stuff, which is going to be so interesting. What they don't realize is like, we're about to enter into like hyper woke ism now as a backlash to Trump and Trump's going to be constantly talking about it.

So hate to break it to y'all [00:03:00] that I think is going to get significantly worse. or just talked about more. But for our purposes, I think one of the best things that I can say is that actually, like, if you really are that mad at Trump people, I would argue that that is the number one place you could look to really find growth.

And I know that that sounds foreign right now, and like, you maybe want to punch me in the ear hole, but I have found that one of the things that has opened me up the most these last four years, in addition to, you know, a little thing called mushrooms is the idea of possibly being wrong about a major assumption and then realizing that.

All of my major assumptions, all of the things that I assume in life can actually not be true. So, anyways, this is just a side, but I had this joke I wanted to share with you guys, all to get to this joke. I had this thought where it's like, listen, everybody serves a purpose, okay? And let's get real fucking real, alright?

You and I, we're in a house, okay? All of a sudden the house starts on [00:04:00] fire and it starts collapsing. Who do you want to jump through the front door to save you? A Trump supporter? Or a left wing person, okay? I know I'm voting for the disgruntled Trump supporter fireman in a second, okay? Because if there was a huge house fire that hit me, I wouldn't be like, Holy shit, oh my god, I'm so scared.

let's go get the liberal podcaster in here to help us out. Podcaster, do you know how to deal with falling beams that are on fire? But, on the same, token, the left also serves a big purpose too. Because that same Trump supporter might one day come to one of his friends. Who just happens to be a liberal and say, Hey man, I've been up all night living in nothing but fear and terror of the outside enemy.

I sleep with a gun under my pillow. I sleep with two guns in my car. I sleep with a gun attached to my waist at all times. It's hurt my marriage, my wife won't talk to me, and I recently contemplated suicide. That left leaning guy would look right in his eyes, put his hand on his shoulder and just say, Hey, [00:05:00] you want a podcast about it?

Let's solve this. Together. So, we're all serving a purpose. By the way, I love you. Thank you so much for being here. And I'm so excited that you are here. I'm so excited that when you guys listen and you reach out to me. Shout out to Rachel F. I haven't given you a shout out yet. Rachel was so cool. She got me concert tickets to go see a Norwegian metal band.

It was a wild, hilarious night. If you're picturing what a Norwegian metal band is, that's exactly what they were. A bunch of guys wearing gas masks just smashing golden buckets, okay? How about that for a Tuesday? It was great.

I heard a lot of really good feedback from last episode, so thanks so much. And, I just want us all to start shifting our mindset into thinking that nothing in this world is actually good or bad. Take care. you know, and there's like opening yourself up to the possibilities of infinity is really, really nice.

All right. So I want to get into a couple of things with you guys today. [00:06:00] And, you know, in the midst of thinking about the election this last week, I feel like I'm coming out of it. I'm good. I went to go MC a bubble run. Which is exactly what it sounds like in about an hour and 10 minutes away in Southern California.

And I had to get up super early on a Saturday and I drove out to the Canyon to basically just go stand at a starting line and be like, are you ready? Who's excited for the bubble run? Woo. this company that's running the Bubble Run has currently not paid me and is ghosting me, so I'm dealing with the stress of that, guys.

I'm not gonna lie, I'll be honest with you, I am very much over chasing money for gigs like this, so I might be putting these guys on blast, heads up. specifically the guy who's not responding to me. But I'm not gonna let that taint When I was at the bubble run, I got to man the bubble canyons. And so I'm like standing ten feet away.

So basically like, it's just like a 5k with bubbles. It's that simple. And who would've thought [00:07:00] that something that simple could be that simple and that popular. There was like fucking 400 people there. Anyways, I'm manning this bubble canyon, and the night, the day is about over. And I'm sitting in this tent watching the people.

And all of a sudden they're blasting music. So there's like bubble cannons blasting music. And I look over and I see this woman who's probably like 25. And I think she was an employee. She grabs the hand of a special needs person. Who's probably like 17, who has Down syndrome. She takes her hand, pulls her into the bubble canyon, where there's all these bubbles, cannons, where all those bubbles are forming.

And she starts dancing with her and like starts twirling her. And then this woman starts like circling around her dancing. And I filmed all of this. And. Then the woman with Down syndrome starts, like, getting excited and she starts dancing. And I filmed this for 40 seconds and I was just like, straight up started tearing up because it was so beautiful.

And I was like, [00:08:00] holy shit, nobody else saw this. I wanted to send it out and post it just to be like, Life is beautiful, y'all. It just sometimes takes a little bit more effort to look a little harder to see these things. that moment happened whether or not I saw it. I just happened to see it. And those kind of moments happen all the time, every day, throughout the world, constantly, on repeat.

It's not this chaotic apocalyptic nightmare that is portrayed to us through the media. That is one sliver of what's actually going on in the world. One fucking sliver. It's literally like somebody giving you VR glasses. That is the Grand Canyon. And , in the front tiny left corner, Of the VR glasses, there's a slight crack.

And everybody just wants to keep talking about the crack. And they're like, look at [00:09:00] the crack, the crack's getting bigger, look at the crack, look at the crack. And meanwhile, the canyon is just sitting there, staring at you, doing nothing. Just being magnificent. It's crazy, but I will say, and like I'm gonna be real, real honest with you guys, that mindset of like, being able to appreciate things, you have to cultivate it, man.

Because, it's so easy to get caught up in the hypnotic trance of your mind. And thinking that whatever you have to do today is more important than that moment or the Grand Canyon. And I know I say this a lot, but like I can't stress it enough I think the best analogy is it's appreciating life and appreciating and like seeing how beautiful a tree is, which again, a big part of this was psychedelics for me, but this is also how we used to think as kids.

It's the difference between going to a museum and looking at an art exhibit versus being a part of the exhibit. Does that make sense? Like, you actually realize that [00:10:00] you're a part of it. And that you get to experience this beautiful art. And you are that, some of that art. I can't stress this enough.

Because like, life is not gonna ever stop happening. And the question that I have for all of you and all of us is like, How deep do you want to experience the joy? Because the surface level stuff might not be that different all the time. And a lot of us, and myself included, are guilty of thinking that the surface level stuff eventually will bring me the joy that I am looking for.

But if I went to that event on Saturday and all I cared about was getting a paycheck, which I did care about that, but I was just like on my phone, which I've done, which we all do, I would have missed that. And I would have missed a chance to become the art. I would have missed the chance that instead of looking at the ocean, diving into the ocean.

I just really think this cannot be stressed enough because like the rewarding, fulfilling moments of life. [00:11:00] Are going to be those moments. They're not the sexy moments. Alex Hormozy is not going to be doing a 10 minute YouTube video about the importance of those moments, how you can 10 X your moments or whatever people are telling us we need to be happy.

But those moments strung together over time equals like grateful heart and a meaningful life on a level that cannot be measured. And that's just true. And I have come to that realization. I want to be there more. I'm not as much as I want to be and that's okay. Okay. Well I'm getting like so excited and so happy about Dr.

Joe dispenses work. And before I go any further, I want to plug my great friend, Kristen Helmstetter's podcast. It's coffee self talk on Spotify. I look up Kristen Helmstetter. She's done this podcast every day. Kristen is doing five to seven minutes of positive affirmations in the morning It's super quick.

It's a great thing to listen to. You will feel better listening to this [00:12:00] podcast. It's completely worth your time. And she's doing it every single day. It's incredible. And she's truly the greatest. So check it out. So Dr. Joe Dispenza's work has totally changed my life. I can't say enough about it, and I feel like I'm becoming kind of an expert at explaining it because I think some people think it's kind of complicated and I get it, I love it because

no one's ever simplified my reality better than what he's been through. Done. Okay. What he's teaching. So I want everybody to think back. Okay. This is using some of his teachings and some of my interpretations of this. Think back to when you were a little kid. Okay. When you would get up in the morning, most of the time you would be so excited, right?

Because what would you feel? You would feel a very strong sense of possibility of something exciting happening today. Your mind was pretty clear of resistance at that time. And so what [00:13:00] is often resistance? If someone was to tell me like, what is the thought process that's going on in your mind day to day?

Okay. And this is a, this is a video I actually want to make right now. If you don't believe that the things that you tell yourself is so powerful and so hypnotic, have you ever stopped somebody who's walking down the street and you said something to them and they acted like they were listening to a song, but they were just listening to their own thoughts?

Have you ever had, were they like, what? They snap, they're in a trance. They snap out of it. Right? Like, Whoa. It's like they had a podcast they were listening to That was the podcast. Whether or not they were actually listening to anything, it doesn't matter. Where they were so entranced, so entrenched by your own thinking, and own hypnotic subconscious programming, that somebody stopping you to say hello snaps you out of it because you're so into it?

That's how powerful that is. So you might think that's a [00:14:00] small thing or people might think that's a small thing. You show me that person and what was going on in their head at that moment, and then I will show you their life. Like whatever that conversation is, is what's creating their life.

And that's the, that's period. End of the story. Okay. So let's back up. When you're a kid, you get up. There's no podcasts really being played other than I like grilled cheese. Balloons. Balloons are fun. I could really go for some cake one time. What did Max say to me? What was some fun things?

Max is my sister's adorable six year old. What does he said to me? Max would just be like, what's the weather like in California? I'm like, it's hot. He's like, okay. Or he'll be like, bro, I got so many Legos and I'm like, sick, dude. How many? He's like, dude, too many. And I'm like, great. And that's the whole combo.

That's actually a very productive conversation, So my question to you dear listeners. Who I love. Who I wish I hung out with more. What has [00:15:00] changed? What has changed from the moment when you were super stoked by Legos to you as a functioning adult in the adult world? What has changed?

Has there been less possibilities from the time that you're 5 to the time that you're 35? Age 5. You're filled with wonder, joy, excitement, and possibilities. Age 35, sometimes you wake up and you're like, Fuck. At least I have been. I have done this. Right? So what has changed? Because if we're being really realistic, you have way more chances of possibilities as a 35 year old than you do as a 5 year old.

Your possibilities as a 5 year old are, Hey, you're gonna have a hamburger or a hot dog, you're going to bed at 8, and you know 7 people. Total in the world. Opportunities as a 35 year old is, yo, I have a bank account. I have, I have access to [00:16:00] a million people. I have access to the greatest wealth of information in the history of the planet that can propel me and take me anywhere if I use it correctly.

I can create a business. I can use AI to change the world. I could change the world without AI. I could make a movie on my fucking cell phone. I could get on a private plane. I could rent a car. Okay? Five year olds are like, it'd be cool. if I could have two juice boxes.

So again, my question to you, what has changed? What has changed? What is stopping you and us from getting up in the morning every single day and saying, The possibilities are endless. This is a new day. This is a blank slate. Here we go. I am so excited to be alive. I'm so thrilled to be here. I love my life.

I love my family. I love my partner. I love my dog. Let's go. What has changed? [00:17:00] Here is my answer. And thank you, Joe Dispenza, so much for this. And Peter Krohn is teaching, I'll get to him in a second, very similar, almost exactly the same, using different language. The only thing that's is your memory of the past.

That's it. Because this current moment, and I've said this before, is completely infinite. Blank and perfect, right? Peter Krohn was talking to this amazing girl who was really, really sick for like three years, okay? She had horrible, uh, rashes was in the hospital during 2020 and she's fine now and so Peter Krohn's like, okay, so what's the problem?

and she's like, I'm worried I'm gonna be sick again. He goes, okay. But are you sick right now? And she goes, no. And he goes, can we go back to Thursday? And she's like, no. He's like, okay, well, can you go back to 2020? And she's like, no. Okay, so if I was to wave a magic wand, Men in Black style, in your brain, and wiped it completely clean right now, and you had no [00:18:00] memories, you would say, I feel good.

Right? And I want everyone to do think about what is that for you? The thing that you think you are the most worried about, that you are the most concerned about. What if I wiped your memories from that thing? What if it was blank slate? Boom. Right now, in this exact moment, I'm not talking about like, I mean like right now, in this exact moment, How would you be?

Would you feel good about it? My answer is you would. Because when you wake up in the morning, Okay? All there is is infinite possibility. But what happens is you start having a memory and you start thinking of, as Joe Dispenza says, the familiar past, and then you use the familiar past to try to predict your future.

Okay. And this has changed my entire life because I am now more and more everyday surrendering to the idea. Much more of possibility versus sitting around using my limited emotions, using my [00:19:00] limited human mind to think how my life's going to go based on my past. If you guys want to be really real, I think part of the reason why this guy's not paying me.

Is because I have kind of a story of people not paying me in gigs and getting fucked out of money a lot And I I need to let it go. I'm not saying it's my fault I'm, not saying it's cool what this guy did, but if you use this now moment to bring in all All of your memories of all of the shit that's happened to you in the past.

Do you know what that equals? That equals depression. That equals not having enough motivation to go forward because you don't see a forward. You just see the past. You just carry the past with you every step you take and then your life just repeats itself. And it reflects that because you're carrying the past, right?

You're not surrendering to the possibility. So there's this very amazing place. In your mind and in the quantum field that you can go to in [00:20:00] visualizations. That's just possibility. Okay. You have to, as Joe said, you have to become no one, no thing, nowhere in no time, which means you get so centered in your meditation that your psyche disappears.

You could do this through breathing. You could do this through heavy meditation, the good news is that quantum field is accessible to you all the time. You can do that now, but you have to get past the quantum field. And he basically said in order to manifest a new potential, you have to become a thought alone.

So what does that mean? That means that you have to become the possibility of the five year old again. When you're thinking about the thing that you want, Does not have a past or a future to it. You want a relationship? You want a new partner? You do not use that space to then think about the five failed relationships you've had, or how you were super hurt by your ex, or how guys don't really love you, or girls always are going for other guys, or [00:21:00] whatever the bullshit story that you're telling yourself.

If you want a new job, the story is, it's Jobs are easy right now. Not, I've applied for 300 jobs. I've heard from no one. So, become a thought alone. When you get into that space and you say, I'm blank slating my mind right now. Because right now it is blank. I'm not going to carry the familiar past with me because I want to go somewhere new.

I'm so excited about the possibilities of the future. I believe in change. I think everybody who's listening to this podcast. Wants to go somewhere higher. And you can. It's your fucking birthright. Okay? You will never stop growing. Your soul will never stop trying to expand. And when you don't go with that expansion, it hurts.

It hurts. And when you stay in the familiar past, and by the way I'm lecturing myself on this too. [00:22:00] You turn your back on your future self. You abandon your future self. That says, anything is possible. If you need to cut somebody out of your life because they feel like they're dragging you down, you should 100 percent cut them out.

If you feel like a job is an old version of you. My advice would be to get the hell out of the job. I know that could come with some weight. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it can be easy. Okay. It's about to be mad constructions up in here. So I'm going to wrap this up, but I love you guys. And I, this conversation is not over.

Let's use this time this week to really double down on getting into that childlike belief of infinite possibilities. How about that as a challenge? I know you can do it. I believe all your dreams can come true. I believe there's so much love here for you. I believe that there is so much possibility for you.

It's absolutely insane. It's not just grilled cheese. Alright? Have the best week ever. [00:23:00]
