00:00:00] So I think the real reason why people were upset and are so upset about the tariffs is that it's causing everybody to do math. And they have to pretend like they know what they're talking about.

They're like, yeah, I mean, can you believe it? So we have, you know, a hundred and

and 20% tariff with all the things coming in

from Europe.

So 120. Times, you know, seven, uh, obviously that's what, uh, the number we use is seven.

And then the, uh, import exports of the derivatives decimal system. And then of course, these, uh, don't even get me started in the China tariffs. Okay. We're talking 150% of the percent of the seven, which, you know, is a, uh,

hey, the pope's from Chicago.

Did you see that? He's from Chicago, the Pope. He, I think he likes hot dogs. Yeah, hamburgers. Bears Bear, Chicago Bears. You know, a lot of people are saying about the new Pope. They're like, yeah, like he's definitely, everyone wanted to know right away. Like he's a Bears fan, he's a Bulls fan, he's obviously from Chicago.

I saw a meme with Rome, had a [00:01:00] Portillo sign. Here's how you know if this guy will really be from Chicago. Not if he's a Bears fan, not if he's a Bulls fan. If all of a sudden one day the Vatican. Has an unnecessary freeway that just drives right through it. And you actually can't go see the Pope anymore because you gotta get off of the Dan Ryan, which is under construction.

So you take, 3 55 South, obviously. What's up everybody? Welcome to a brand new episode of Spiritual Asshole. I'm so excited. I'm thrilled. I am overjoyed to have you here with me. Today's guest is fantastic. I have his book, his name is Howard Falco. He's the author of Invincible, the Mindset of Infinite Potential, and the Secret to Inevitable Success.

This episode rules, how have you guys been? How is your lives today? I'm gonna do something that I've never done this podcast before, and I'll circle back to Howard and talk to you a little bit about my life. look, everyone, I don't ask for a lot, okay? Other than your ears lend me your ears. I can't believe people used to say that.

But I'm reaching out today. Because I want to tell [00:02:00] you about the TV show I shot last year and I just started a fundraising campaign for it. And I believe that this is going to be the most important show on tv. I believe that the world needs this now more than in the history of the world, and I believe that if you listen to this podcast It talks about all of the things and incorporates all the things that we've talked about in this podcast, but in show form. So it's like if Ted Lasso met Severance, it's the story of a world in which everyone knows when they're gonna die. It's a dystopian dramedy. It tells the story of our main character.

His name is Kevin Peterson, me, and he has 70 years left to live, and he works at a government agency that administers the death dates, and this week is the week that his best friend is going to die. And there's conspiracy afoot because a certain Caroline O'Grady created a viral video saying that she beat her death date.

And so these videos have existed before, but [00:03:00] this time the agency that Kevin works for is taking it seriously. And so Kevin has to go. To he has to go to his best friend's last week party. And what we did guys, was last year we shot this show backed by incredible generosity We shot this show and We use the same cavern as severance, and we have. The best cast we have Christopher Fernandez, who played Danny Rojas and Ted Lasso as my best friend. Arterio Castro as his brother. Arturo's been in Roadhouse. He's gonna be in Tron.

He's blown up. He has been for a long time. Matthew Moy, two broke girls. Incredible actor, fucking amazing. Lauren Conlan Adams. One of my favorite actresses and also my ex-girlfriend. I'll just come out and say it. I don't care. I have to be honest with you guys. Truly, objectively, one of my favorite actresses ever.

we have Cassandra Blair from Jury Duty, my favorite actress on jury duty. She was incredible. And Cody Kavitha plays the love interest also amazing. So right now I started a fundraiser for my show just [00:04:00] to finish it. what happens when you shoot a show is you have to go into what's called post-production.

So you have to do coloring sound. Visual effects, editing and score. We have it almost all the way done. We're about 80% done. We just need a little extra money to finish it. I will be posting my seed and spark for this show on my Instagram, and then after this guys, we are going to sell the show. So get on board.

Now you could say you're a part of it. You also get special perks if you donate. I don't ask for a lot, but I want you guys to know, I really want you guys to feel how amazing the show is.

And I'm not just saying this 'cause I made it and I wrote it.. this show like. There are some things that happen to you in your life that are bigger than you, and this show is one of them, and those are the things to pursue. Those are the things to believe in that it's like, this show is bigger than me.

It's magical. We had an incredible director, Melissa Bolton Klinger, incredible dp. My producer Amy Kirsten is the best, and the this first episode of the show is just the starting point of. A really long, amazing [00:05:00] series that we go on this wild, crazy ride because some shit goes down, guys in the first episode, some unexpected stuff.

And from there we jump off and we go and we unfold this whole project and this whole season, very much like severance, but it's, I would say it's funny, it has more of a comedic bend than severance for sure. and a lot of heart too. So it has all the things. So again, I love you guys. Anything can contribute.

No amount of money is too small. I am so grateful. So we have over half our money raised so far. I, I am so grateful for everyone who contributes anything that like. If anything, I'm almost even more grateful for the people who give less because I know how hard it's a stretch for someone to give $10.

It's a stretch for someone to give $20. So thank you to everybody who contributes. Let's get this done. And the more money we raise, the more we can use it for entering in some, festivals. And also we're gonna create an amazing, like, teaser of it. So it's quick. You could watch it. So excited. I will once again be posted this on my Instagram.

Thank you. Okay, so [00:06:00] today we have Howard Falco and it's Life and the Universe is pretty incredible because if you've been listening to this podcast, you know, I've been pretty much obsessed with Dr. Joe Dispenza's work for the last. Eight months. Right. And when you listen to Howard Falco, come on and say all the like, hear him talk.

You're gonna be like, did you guys have a secret dispense meeting beforehand? But actually after the call I asked him, he said he never read his stuff, so it's incredible. But then he was telling me this great thing where he is like, yeah, but so you were like studying all this, the theory. My book is the Applying and I, I love that.

So definitely read this book and the key things he said. Okay. So just to provide some backstory for this interview, we refer to this incident in the interview where he was really young and he was at a cabin. With his family. And one day he said one night he decided to go out to the dock and look up at the stars.

And he just saw, he's never seen anything more beautiful in his life. And like there were millions of stars in the sky that were infinite. And he was just [00:07:00] like, okay, well if this is the case, what are we capable of? And this is something that I think is a great practice for everyone. As a practical tip, start using your surroundings.

As indicators and inspiration for what's actually possible for you, because believe it or not, it is all there for you and you are, we are having this amazing, you know, coexisting relationship with nature. It's pretty awesome. I recently actually got to go sailing and I saw a bunch of seals. Duking it out in the ocean.

And I was like, check out those wet dogs. They're amazing. And I was just like, nature is incredible. And there's so much perfection in it. And there's so much perfection in you too. That same perfection. You see those flowers? I went back to my car yesterday and it was covered in purple flowers. Those purple flowers, those seals.

There's so much perfection in you. Even if you did just eat KFC. Okay? You're still perfect. So look around, connect to it and know that you're a part of it, and then take that [00:08:00] part of it with you, okay? Take it with you throughout your day. And remember, you're part of this amazing connective, possibly the matrix environment that loves you.

One thing that we really stress in this interview is the importance of the present moment. And it's something I've really talked about a lot recently, a lot again, because it dispenses work, but also because I realize how much my mind has been shifting between the familiar past and the predictable future.

And when you do that, you don't allow incredibleness into your life, right? When you turn that off and when you realize the present moment is so ab insanely abundant, and you just do it more and more every day, magic's gonna happen, baby. All right. I'm so excited about this episode. I'm not gonna talk too much here.

He is the amazing Howard Falco.

All right everybody. Welcome to a brand new, incredible episode of Spiritual Asshole. I'm so excited to be joined by Howard [00:09:00] Falco. He's a mental strength coach and author of the new book Invincible, the Mindset of Infinite Potential, and The Secret to Inevitable Success. Howard, how are you? I'm good.

Thank you for having me on. Alright, so when you think of someone who's invincible, who's the first person that comes to mind? 'cause my answer used to be Jimmy Carter. But not anymore to live to on the, you know what, that's actually a great answer. Oh, really? Oh, great. Mean, do you think? Yeah, because if you think of someone who is the ultimate humanitarian, who gave the fullest of his heart to the world every single day of his life to the day he passed away.

That is an invincible mindset. Yeah. Didn't let any of the negativity and all the darkness of the world that tried to, you know, he just avoided it all and just was who he is or who he was. It's a great answer. I love it. Okay. That's great. Yeah. 'cause my other answer, I thought about Michael Jordan, but then I was like.

There's parts of his, [00:10:00] I felt I, you know what I mean? I don't think his personal life exactly been invincible, but you know what I mean? Well, it depends on, it depends on the way you look at, what you think morality is. Right. You know, I mean, is, you know, I mean, everybody's, I mean, as long as he's not hurting people, I mean, he can do whatever he wants with what he's created, but, but from a sports perspective.

Yeah, that's as close to invincibility as you're gonna get in, in the sports world, or at least at the top tier of, you know, 1e-07% of athletes in the world. Yeah. So you also said if we knew how powerful you were. You would never stop smiling. Is this why clowns have all the power? You're gonna throw me off this whole interview, aren't you?

I love it. Um, this happy bastards. I, I'm. . About halfway through your book and what I found really interesting, what I think is makes this book super unique is your ability to talk about mindset, but you also really use like the cosmos and spirituality as an example, as to why we could be infinite.

Can you talk about that a little bit? Yeah. [00:11:00] Well I think that it's the, the great example that life is trying to show us of. Uh, you know, why is life infinite? You know, look at the James T. Webb and what, it's the pictures it's bringing back to us from deep and dark space. It just shows us the truth of infinity, which is a hard one for the mind to conceptualize.

But my, the idea that I present in the book is that if the universe is infinite, never ending and never creative and your part of this universe, then you are endowed with that same. Infinite creative ability in this form that you're in right now. Mm-hmm. And that means that what you set your mind to, that there are no end to the possibilities.

It depends on what you're willing to learn, understand, and how hard you're willing to, to, to work, to move forward, to put the conditions together. To create what you're looking to create, how in touch you are with reality in certain aspects, how much you know about the process and the system that you're in so that you can navigate through it.

But that's what the cosmos did for me. It's like I looked up on, on that night as a child and I was like, wow, we need to understand more [00:12:00] about the fact that this doesn't end. Yeah. And let's talk about a practical example so people get what we're saying. 'cause you have this great transcript between you and a client who is like, I'll never find love again.

Right. That was awesome. And you were like, okay, thanks. Yeah. Can you talk about that? That was great. Sure. Yeah. I mean, well, this idea, we get in our heads, these limiting beliefs, right? We have a bad experience and the mind's geared to protect us, and it doesn't want us to experience pain anymore. So in, in, in the effort to keep us from being vulnerable and putting ourselves out there again and maybe experiencing pain, it says, I'll never find love again.

And that's an easy way to shut it off so you don't have to be vulnerable. But the truth is, there have been millions of people that have gone through horrible things in relationships. And found love and became really happy, and that's what I'm encouraging the reader to do is just begin to open back up to that field of possibilities.

Honoring yourself, believing that you're worthy of it. Because the universe works on our truth. And if we go the negative route, the limiting route, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. We're gonna find the people that are gonna treat us like, you know what, and yeah, not find love, but [00:13:00] if we don't and we can trust that process, that's what I'm encouraging readers to do.

Yeah, and you were like, have you. Ever looked up at the sky? Do you see all those stars? Like, so I think that that is really cool. And someone was framing abundance to me that way once that was like, look around at trees and see the abundance there. And I was like, oh, I never, our human brains never think like that, I, I mean, nature is a great example of its infinite ability to create and survive and evolve and change and adapt, and I. Believe, you know, I believe that nature's trying to show us that great metaphor for our own lives and who we are to keep expanding, to keep seeing the positive in life, because that puts you in tune with life, with divinity, with the cosmos.

Yeah. And the more in tune you are with that, the more at peace you feel because you feel more harmonized with the truth around you. Versus something negative or limiting, which creates suffering. And there's a reason, you know, there's a beautiful divine way that that life, you know, operates with us in showing us that when we think in ways that are counter to the truth, we suffer.

Yeah. Okay. [00:14:00] So what do you think the biggest step is towards becoming invincible? What is it? Well, the first step is to believe that anything is possible. The second step is to believe that that field of infinite possibility is available to you. Mm. That you can experience that. Yeah. And if you can just open or crack that door, then you can begin to go down the process.

And ironically, the book is laid out in steps, right? Yeah. What's the first step? The first step is opening to infinite possibility. The second step is, let's see how we got here without any judgment. Right. And that is the process, Brendan, of self-awareness. Yeah. Okay. So the, let's see how we got here is something I really wanna focus on with you because you work with athletes and I think athletes are such good examples of mental, fortitude, aptitude, whatever you want to call it, because they don't really, they can't afford themselves a memory.

But how can, like to a certain degree, how can we understand our past but not also drag it to this present moment? Does that make sense? By [00:15:00] understanding the truth that every single moment is distinct and unique, okay? Because if you feel that the next moment is gonna be a copy of the previous one that causes suffering, you won't walk into it.

You won't give yourself the opportunity for something new to happen because you're gonna protect yourself from the pain you experienced. Now, if you drove your car at 130 miles an hour and you got in a bad accident, and were in the hospital recovering for two months. Probably not a good idea to drive your car 130 miles an hour.

Again, that's a memory you wanna learn to avoid pain. But if you had a relationship where someone treated you horribly and broke your heart, the next person you meet could be the most wonderful, amazing, loving, kind human being that could provide a lifetime of connection, friendship, intimacy, um, companionship.

But you have to be open to believe that that's possible for you. And so that's what I mean by every moment is distinct and unique just because the first dog you met, you know, tried to bite you. I mean, 99.99, nine 9% of [00:16:00] dogs are beautiful, loving, incredible, amazing creatures. And if they bite, it's probably, you know, due to some trauma, the dog experience.

But the point is, is that there's something new available to you going forward. Your mind has to be open to that, and that comes from a new way of looking at yourself. By the way, that's another mm. You know, if you look at yourself in a way where I always get the, the, the bad end of the stick, then you know you're gonna look for that and put those conditions together to find it.

In the world, and this goes into one little other tangent I want to talk about, which is that what I discovered is that life is trying to take your beliefs and give you the validation of them, good or bad. That's why self-awareness is so critical because once you can see how you have developed the narrative of the story of your life, you can also see that you have the power to change the narrative.

Mm. Great. So what do you say to someone though, let's use health as an example. Let's say someone has an illness, and every minute, not every minute, but multiple times throughout the day, they're telling [00:17:00] themselves that they're sick. What would you say to that person? And this could apply to wealth too.

I'm broke, whatever it is. What would you say to that person to not bring that memory of the past now? So, it's about having the most optimal state of mind getting to a place of invincibility. Okay. And so what I would say to them is, you don't have an illness. You have had an illness up to this moment.

Now that doesn't mean you, you may still have it going forward, you may not, but don't consecrate the belief to the creative moment because in you can't catch the moment, right? So why would you say I have an illness? How about now? How about now? How about now? Right? You're always going to try and, you know, the ego likes to lop lop onto a story and say, this is what I have.

So the first step would be just to say, I have had an illness that opens the moment up to the potential of something different, entering your mind, your body, your spirit, your experience. That would be number one. Number two, I would say to put your mind on the outcome [00:18:00] that you're looking for best, the healing.

And as you put your mind on that outcome to visualize it, but also to believe that you are worthy of experiencing health. And that's where it digs into more of the self-love, self-compassion, self-respect. That's where the deep dive in self-awareness goes, because when you heal the mind, I believe it gives you the greatest opportunity and probability to heal the body.

But it has to start with a mindset of who you are. Mm. Have you always been like this? No, I mean, you know, the, obviously that the experience I had of the expansion of my own mind shifted everything for me. but I was always a positive person. Yeah. I was always a kind person, a compassionate person, a loving person.

But this experience of the greater truth of existence and how it all works blew the doors off of that. So, and then we're talking about the moment you went in the lake, the lake moment, right. Well, the lake woman that was younger when I looked up Sky was the first moment that I had [00:19:00] some existential questions when I saw like, wow.

Yeah, there's something bigger to understand. That's above our head every single night, by the way. Yeah. Um, but that sent me on a journey to, to, to seek, to ask questions and look for answers. The experience at 35 was. The opening to those answers or 99.999% of 'em. I'm I'll, obviously I have 'em all, but,

so you got, yeah. You had this profound moment, so that where you got all the answers or they started coming in? Yeah. Were all the answers tried DraftKings.

Because that seems to be the, the, the answers we're getting now in our culture. Yeah, yeah, exactly right.

Yeah, it's insane. It's a lot. That's why I think mental strength is more important than ever for life, because you've gotta be able to handle what's coming at you and what's trying to, you know, divert you one way or the other in life and really kind of take your brain into what they want it to be.

Whether it's, you know, DraftKings, whether it's media, whether it's, um, political nature. It, it could be anything, but it's Right. Yeah. So what exactly [00:20:00] happened? You just like. Opened yourself up. 'cause this the, you getting these answers, it sounds like you were, you know, it's like a pretty profound moment that usually happens to people when they're on drugs.

And this did not happen. This did not happen to you? No. This was, this was a drug free moment. it was a culmination of a lifetime of seeking insight and understanding and every day asking, what is this all about? What am I doing here? What's the purpose of life? You know, are we. what is GOD sta?

What does that really mean? What, you know, I never really wrapped an identity around that, thankfully. Um, yeah. So it, it was, it was always just this idea of what, what are we doing here? What's the purpose? And it reached a culmination in my thirties when I was, you know, I had, I was married and loved to kids, working my butt off to try and achieve the American dream.

And I was miserable. And I thought, how could I have all this and be miserable? That's crazy. And then I understood what happened to the Beatles, right? Mm-hmm. Because. They had it all. And the last thing they needed was spiritual understanding. That's why they, they sought out the, the, you know, the Indian gurus and the yogis.

But, I was sort of in a, not nowhere near where the Beatles were, but, but a place [00:21:00] where I was seeing where this was leading. Like, okay, I, I achieved the American dream then what? I still don't have the answers to these questions and this understanding. So I was really in a place of deep yearning to understand, and finally through some grace, the, the, the dam burst.

The flood of insight came in, and then it was like, okay, now I know what I'm gonna do the rest of my life is just put it in a discourse and share it. Mm-hmm. And then it led to all this fun stuff with athletes and with individual, you know, helping individuals in their life to be empowered. And I really think, Brendan, that's the, that's the next evolution in human consciousness is self-awareness and the understanding of who we are and what we're capable of, of mind of heart.

' cause we need it. Yeah. One of the questions I was gonna ask you , what would happen if you real, if people realized how powerful they really were, it'd be crazy. Yeah. You see the smile on my face? yeah. All the suffering, all the negativity, all the anxiety, all the depression.

A lot of it would go away. There's natural grief in life when we lose things. Yes, yes. 'cause of the nature of entropy and the fact that things rise and fall, you know, we, [00:22:00] we lose our pets, we lose people. We love to passing. where to and, and where that goes, we don't know yet, but the physical experience is no longer there.

So we have natural things we go through that are gonna create unavoidable moments of suffering. the, the unforced error I call it, of suffering, meaning, you know what we. We create for ourselves by a misunderstanding of mind could go away through that understanding of how powerful we are in every moment and how much capacity we have to appreciate ourselves, take control of the narrative of our life and go into life every day trusting that process.

Yeah. So what do you think is the misunderstanding? Is it believing these limiting thoughts and then just playing them on a loop forever? That sounds fun. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Well, you know, and it sounds fun, but millions and millions of people across the world do it every single, single day because I've, I've been in session with them and, you know, we each have moments, I'm, I'm not immune.

Hundred percent have moments to those. So, um, yeah. I think that the key is understanding [00:23:00] the true nature of one's perfection and the perfection of life with all its craziness, right? All its insanity. Yeah. What is, you know, what is behind that veil? Why is that happening in our view and in our reality? Why are we experiencing it?

And it's all to help us move to a greater understanding of who we are. Hmm. All right. So you said this great thing that I love, the secret of life is fully owning the narrative of who you are in such a profound way that it has no choice but to give you the experience of who you believe you are.

So that's like. That's the My AM stuff right there, right? Yes. That's, that's the vibe. So a lot of us, I think we're, I think we're making, we're all tripping up and I'll caught myself in this too, are seeing it. Opposite of that, they're seeing it as, I'll look at life to have life, tell me who I am and have people tell me who I am.

That's an interesting way, that's an interesting way of saying it. I'm glad you brought that up. So. I think really truly becoming awake in life is realizing how the thoughts that you have about who you are and the thoughts you have [00:24:00] about life are dictating the probabilities for what you create next.

Yes. And so one of those thoughts could be, I need the approval of others or others, and what they say about me defines who I am, which is a lie. Mm. You have the ultimate supreme authority over how you see who you are. Now if you need some outside approval, then you're gonna have to be aware of how you're perceived.

Right. If you, I, I used an example in my previous book, I am about someone who wants to be known as a fashionable dresser. Well, if they're good enough in the mirror for themselves, you don't need anybody's approval a hundred percent. You're done, you're free. But if you want to be known, when you go out as someone who's on the edge and looks great and is sharp,, then you're gonna have to understand how what you wear resonates with other people.

It's gonna be a requirement if you need. The approval of others to validate that identity. But if you just wanna know that you're okay and that you're good enough, then all you need is yourself. And when it comes to something simple as [00:25:00] relationships, that's really important. Now, at some point. You're gonna have to know what's attractive and not attractive to the person that you're interested in connecting with.

'cause that's a part of the conditions of that process. But to start off, you have to feel you're good enough as you are to be comfortable enough in the relationship when you start out talking to command a sense of confidence. not cockiness by the way. There's a huge difference in that. cockiness comes from insecurity and arrogance and, delusion.

Confidence comes from a sense of knowing that, hey, I, I like who I am and I'm just gonna be myself and let that energy dictate this experience. Yeah. I think another thing that, trips us up sometimes is the idea that other people have the talent or like this person has an invincible mindset. Like a lot of people don't, wouldn't actually believe that this kind of success is for them.

But yet I find it fascinating. Then we'll pay millions of dollars to watch people who they think do have this, like, [00:26:00] all my friends are going to see Beyonce now, and they're like, Beyonce's such a queen. And I'm like, you're a queen. Like, yeah, she is as well. But like you could be Beyonce and Beyonce would be the first person to tell you that, but it's crazy how we think like, oh, well that's not for me, that they're just, they're the successful ones.

How do we bridge that gap? So, I mean, there's only one Beyonce, but you can be your version. Yeah. You know what I mean? Version of, yeah. You can be your version of Beyonce, but the idea is that people have to understand that that has been cultivated over years of work and at the highest level in the world of producing, of talent, of, of dance, of singing, of just getting everything as perfect as it could be to put out there and now.

I hate to use this term, but I'm going to, it's almost like the Emperor's new clothes. It's like there's such an aura about it that, that, that she's created in a good way because, and it's not really the emperor's new clothes, 'cause she really is a talented person that can sing well. But now the whole aura of who she is takes over the [00:27:00] process.

because she's created that just like a great hitter in baseball with, who has a track record of being a great hitter. As soon as they step in the box, they already have the edge on the pitcher because they have an aura of who they are. But getting back to your ideas that, yes. People if they can, for what they're trying to accomplish, as long as they understand the road ahead of them and what they're gonna have to learn and the talent they're gonna have to develop, and the confidence that they're gonna have to have in that to be able to move it forward and get the right people around them and put the right energy around them.

Yes, anybody can achieve what they're trying to achieve if they're willing to go down the road without expectation, but because it's who they are and what they love to do, love it. 'cause the minute you put an expectation on it. Now you got some potential problems. Oh, okay. How come Expectation? Because you're thinking far down the road.

Is that why? Correct. You're outta the present moment, so stay with the intention of who you are and what you love to do and just do it. And before you know it. You'll be, you know, at the top of the game, there's a comedian that comes to mind, that [00:28:00] outta nowhere, that you obviously, you know, it's in your field on Nate, whatever his name is.

Zi. Yeah. He was doing, he's been doing it for years, right? Yeah. I saw some old tape. I'm like, wow. He's been around for a long time and then all of a sudden it just, the timing was right. It all gelled. He didn't really change who he was. He just developed and continued to, to move and bam, it hit the zeitgeist.

Yeah. I used to do shows with him. Yeah, I'm trying to get some of his money. Um, Nick call me. Nick call me. No, he's a, he's a great guy. He's a great guy. Yeah. So, yeah, I wanna go back to identity because I am starting to really realize, like I. This is the step towards manifesting things. You really want the biggest step.

So what do you think is step one in changing our identity? Like how do we do this actually in our lives? Well, I'm glad you asked because it, the step two in the book is, you know, understanding your identity. how you do that is you have to see how it's come together for you, right? You have to know if you look back at your life to this point, with no regret, no guilt, no.

This is not about that. This is just about information. You understand how it all came together, which is, and I'll just give the crash course on it. It's three [00:29:00] things, your nurturing, which gave you your tolerance for fear or faith. You know, how fast you were picked up from the crib when you were crying, how long you had to cry, any traumas you went through before you were fully conscious.

So the nurturing had a big impact on your state of mind in general with life, and how much you, you know, gravitate towards or away from trauma. Your personal experiences as you developed an ego and you developed an identity of who you are, and you went into the world and you had relationships with boys, girls, you played sports, you, whatever you did, you had got grades in school, et cetera.

so that's number two. Your, your parents, whether they divorced or not, what kind of household you were in. Then the third thing is the sneaky one, which is genetics. And genetics get passed, and they're not just hair color and eye color and skin color. It's our social tendencies. So those three things develop this identity that has put us to where we're at.

The question is, how is that identity working for you in terms of where you want to go and what can you adjust about how you look at yourself in order to increase the belief in what you're capable of? The positive energy you feel about who you are, the [00:30:00] love and the compassion you have for who you are.

Because in the book, and I don't know if you've gotten to this point or not, there's a, a scale that shows you how you feel about yourself determines your, the size and the circumference of your bubble of possibility in life. Oh, woo. I've not gotten that part, but that's so true. So if someone says, on a scale of one to 10, 10 being I'm perfect, one being I hate myself, if you know, I mean, let's be very candid here.

Ones are under bridges with a sign asking for money because they've had so much mental, physical abuse, trauma. Just addiction problems. Who know? You wouldn't wanna know what the story is because you would, you'd be picking, I mean, maybe you do know some of these people, but it's, it's not very pretty. and they don't have a capacity to see anything past asking for a handout.

They just don't. 'cause if they did, they wouldn't be there, right? They really would. So that's ones, and then it, it goes up from there, two threes, fours, five. So wherever you fall on that scale is [00:31:00] gonna determine the size of. The probability field or the possibility field for you. So the more you do appreciate who you are, see your worth and believe in yourself.

The more you open yourself up for life to connect with you with an experience that validates that. Mm-hmm. Right? Because you can't want the greatest things in the world and feel like a piece of shit on the inside. And feel that you're no good, you're worthless. You should have done this, you should have done that.

Be living in regret, shame, guilt, all the poisons of the mind because it will hold you back or you'll get a glimpse of it and it will come tumbling down. And we can think of many pop culture examples of people that have experienced the height of everything. Music, fashion. Yeah. Whatever it is. And because they didn't have the mental construction at the core, it finally got them.

Ugh. And you know, I'm not gonna name names, but let's name names. Okay. Go for it. No, no, no, no, I'm kidding. I mean, it's unfortunate, but we watch it all the time. You know, that [00:32:00] they, they get the, they believe so hard in it, they get it, or they were put on a path for it. And the construction of the identity doesn't hold up to, and then we see people who achieve it and who they are.

Fulfills it. Yeah. And they never waver. So what's the difference between the mine poisons versus. Versus just doubt, garden variety, doubt that you can still work past. Do you know what I mean? A doubt's healthy doubt says, you know, Hey, I'm not sure what's going on here. But the faith in who they are and what they wanna do allows them to go into that space of doubt, allows 'em to go into that dark night and that unknown and that fog and trust life and say, look, life has got me everywhere that I've been in my life, got me through every situation that I thought I would never get through.

This is unknown. It's new to me. And I can feel it in my nervous system, but that's how I know I'm on the edge of expanding who I want to be. 'cause my ego's trying to guard the comfort zone. But if it feels right and it's what you want to do, walk into it, trust it. And that's why they're such a perfection on the scale of those who achieve and succeed because they were, they were [00:33:00] willing to step into that unknown in that space of what could happen and overcome all the fears, the doubts with faith.

Again, faith is is not so much from a religious sense. It's more of a just a spiritual or a life sense. Like, Hey, I trust this is my path and this is what I'm gonna do and I'm gonna be okay. Do you think that we can live a life without fear? No, I think fear is really important because, you know, I mean, I'll use the age old example 'cause you know, if there's a bear coming at you, you want fear to kick your adrenaline in so you can run away from the beer if someone jumps out in front of your car.

You want the fear of hitting them and that adrenaline rush to help you jerk the wheel at the last second and create these initial quick survival responses. So some fear is good, but I think in our culture we have definitely gotten into runaway fear, especially about things that aren't even actually threats.

Exactly. And that's, yeah. Or, or lies that have been programmed to us. Right. You know, and it's created a completely screwed up mindset that puts us in fight or flight. So you said, anytime we make choices from a place of need or [00:34:00] fear, you are validating the need or fear. What do you mean by that? So if you're making a choice out of need or fear, it's because you believe that fear.

And if you believe that fear, oh, you're gonna seek to create it. Oh, you just put me on blast, bro. I just felt that one with a core. Yeah, but that's good. That's, that's the part of the process of self-awareness that brings these things to the surface. So you can just decide, man, do I want that to run my life anymore?

Why can't I replace it with something faithful? And try that, and life will test you. You know, it'll, it, you know, your ego, depending on how strong it's been in, in wanting to keep you in that old space, babe, whisper in your ear. Hey, bud, don't do it. You're gonna, you're gonna, you're gonna die. You're gonna lose all your money.

You're gonna be laughed at whatever it is that it says, and it's bullshit. You don't know what's gonna happen. There's a million possibilities that can happen. Mm-hmm. Listen to the other side that says, you know what? You're worth this step into it. And even if it doesn't work out, you're gonna be proud of yourself for taking that step, and it's gonna be a little less fearful the next time you do it.

So it's a no lose situation. This is [00:35:00] great. It seems like a key part of this though, is not ruminating. You don't seem like a ruminator. Is that fair to say? Yeah. Well, in terms of regret? Yeah. Or, or ruminating. Yeah. I, I mean, I, I go through decisions in my mind, but I don't ruminate in terms of like, the negative side.

I also think about the positive side and what's gonna happen, and I have no fear in moving towards that. I'll give listeners the greatest question they can ask themselves, and this is also later in the book that you'll get to. But the question to ask yourself in terms of what you wanna accomplish, the dream or the vision that you have in your mind of what you want to do, and no matter who else has done it in the world, this is the question, why not me?

Hmm, that's great. And that will bring up some thoughts immediately that you'll be able to at least see. Ask yourself whether or not you want to carry these thoughts any further, because those are where the limits will show up and they're lies. Any limit, by the way, is a lie. A hundred percent. And then, but do you do anything practical when these thought, these thoughts come up?

Or do you just like push them aside? Do you [00:36:00] journal? Do you scream into a pillow? Do you drop, kick an animal? No, definitely not. A lover of life. So no, sometimes screaming to a pillow, when I'm frustrated with the world, it helps to get that energy out because. You know, you see such a different way and so much easier and beautiful way that we could be going about things and people that don't have the right mindsets are, are dragging this world into a really strange and awful and dark place that I'd like to see pulled back the other way.

Yeah. Um, but practical things in the book, there are several exercises you do, and one of the things that I do every year. Is I set intentions for what I wanna create. I set goals. And there's a great story in there of when I was in my twenties and I set goals on what I wanted to do, which blew me away with actually what really happened in my life.

Like I had no clue how any of this was gonna happen. And check, check, check, check, check. You know, and there's a lot of things still on the list, but I'm working at it. But I reset that. So I have a guidance, you know, to do that every year. And then as far as when the thoughts come up in, [00:37:00] you know, every single day.

When I have in the book what's called a creed you set for yourself, which is a daily sort of navigational tool for who you want to be, and when we're trying to change ourself from the same old repeatable patterns every day, this is really helpful because it can remind you of where you want to go, and then when the thoughts come up and you, you start going into the remuneration as you call it, You can stop yourself and go, Nope, not doing that. We're gonna switch this pattern up today, going for a run. Or, Hey, I'm gonna write down five things I'm grateful for, and I'm gonna make three of the phone calls that I have been putting off for three weeks. And all of a sudden, one of those phone calls, you know, has a great conversation.

And the next thing you know, all this creative new stuff is flowing because you finally switched over and did something that you talked yourself out of for like two months. And all you had to do was make the phone call and you're like, wow, that was great. I'm gonna keep doing this every day. Yeah, and then you start stacking the deck in your favor because it's coming from more of a belief in what is possible versus what is not possible, and that leads you to the invincible state of mind, and you start getting [00:38:00] like real adrenaline from doing that in a really good way that you did not think about where you're like, oh, wow, I just did this.

Well then now I can do this. It's crazy. It's momentum. It's real dopamine and serotonin because life's trying to say because life is creative, infinitely creative. As soon as you start to create and your identity starts to expand the dopamine and serotonin release, because it's trying to continue that creative process with every human being, since that is the nature of life, and so you feel more in tune.

Mm-hmm. You feel good, you feel optimistic, you feel hopeful. It's when the possibilities get limited in our mind. Yes. We spiral. I think it really is This is what I've been saying. You have a soul that wants to expand forever, but you have a brain that wants to keep you safe. So as long as you listen to the safety of your own brain and you don't cross those unknown, unknown thresholds, you're kind of stuck and it sucks.

Look, the ego can be a big liar because it wants to keep you in where you survived, even though it created [00:39:00] pain and suffering. Yes. So this is where you need it. You definitely have to have a strong will. You have to be tired enough of the way things have been in your life and be like, wow, I want some tools on how to change this.

And that's what I'm hoping this work provides is people with an incredible tool to go, wow. This is a guidebook for me to help me change things or, or any other book out there that's helping people to change the way they look at life, look at themself so that they can create a new experience for themselves.

And again, life. I know this sounds so crazy, but it's not. Life is here to serve you in your creative expression because you are a part of life's. Infinite creation. Why wouldn't it support you in that journey? It's just sometimes with what we go through, it knocks us down a bit and we just need to clean the slate, get a little more faith, and trust a little bit more and see what happens.

Love that. And your book does that for sure. So you do, coach golfers shouldn't, their first step towards being invincible is wearing less shitty pants. There's a culture there, you know, there's a history and a [00:40:00] culture there. Um, oh man, we gotta, we gotta switch up the culture. What, what would you say?

The thing you learned the most about athletes working with them, that it's been really helpful for you? 'cause I love sports. Yeah. How unbelievably single pointed, focused, fierce, and just, uh, relentless they are in their practice and preparation to do whatever it is they're doing. If people knew the amount of work that went on behind the scenes and the amount of intensity and the amount of stress and the amount of, they would be blown away.

It looks so easy on TV and the hours and hours and the journeys and I mean, I've seen it in every sport, the amount of time, energy, effort I have such respect for these athletes that get to the top level or that compete at any level really, whether it's elite, high school, college, or the professional ranks.

They really, truly have put themselves out there in the most vulnerable place and are willing to dust themselves off when they fail. Mm-hmm. They're relentless to failure. Um, but again, yeah, I think it's important again to point [00:41:00] out that like they did that with sports, but we could do that with anything in our own lives.

Bingo. Right? That's the whole point of me. That's the whole merging these experiences in the book is to show people, these are great examples of what you can do in your own life. And that's why at the end I even have a, a, a story about, you know, the guy who I think has the biggest set on the planet, or there's something wrong with his brain for sure.

Which is Alex Honnold. I don't know if you saw free Solo. Oh, I haven't seen that yet. No, but I know of it yet. Okay. Once you, that movie changed my life because when you watch the film, when you're done, everything in life looks a little bit easier.

But that's what I mean that, that you talk about an example of preparation and just the mindset and what he's doing with the ultimate, you know, consequence being death. if he made one wrong move, it shows you that that truly anything is possible. So, that's what, that's why athletes are such great, examples for us.

That's, that's why we watched the Olympics. We'd love to see the human spirit and, you know, the continual expansion of possibilities and breaking records every year. Well, yeah, [00:42:00] my favorite part of the last dance was when. It's the part no one talks about. And they were like, Michael Jordan's greatest gift.

Is that he always lived in the present moment. And he said, why would I care about, why would I worry about a shot I haven't took yet? Bingo. And there was, so I was like, guys, this is the secret to life. That's it right there. You got it. It, it really is. When I saw that, I'm like, this is the greatest athlete of all time.

Did you hear what they just said? This is the literal secret to life. Yep. Yep. I have goosebumps right now. You're right. I mean that part where he's like listening to the music and he is like, yep, exactly. Oh, so, and the reporter's trying to get him to talk about something in the future or something. He's like, man, I'm in the moment right now.

We're enjoying this. Yeah, yeah. Like, we live in this, or you know. He did. He knew. He knows how to do that. Hmm. He knows how to live in the moment. And that's, you know, again, the whole idea of the book is to get the mindset of people reading it to the present moment, because that's where creation explodes, is in the present moment.

When you're locked in and your focus, your awareness [00:43:00] is at its widest. Mm-hmm. When your awareness is at its widest for an athlete. You become the quickest, the most responsive, the most intuitive. And that's been the secret sauce in working with so many athletes is getting them into that space. So with an individual or a creative or a writer or, or a comedian, or it doesn't matter what you do, a singer, it's the same thing.

It's about letting go into the present moment where all that beautiful creation can just surge and flow. Mm-hmm. And the rest takes care of itself. All right. Last question. I wanna play a quick game with you. What do you say to those people? Who will get all this, and sometimes I fall into this category, but I don't want to keep telling that story.

They get this, they know it's your mindset. They know you're creating everything, but they still feel stuck and now they see the patterns of themselves even doing it. It's like you could see it and you're like, I'm still doing this for some reason. Would you say, well, the fact that they're seeing the pattern is a, is a huge first step.

'cause maybe they didn't see the pattern before, so at least there's some movement. Okay. The other question is like, you know, look, suffering is up to the individual. You know, how stubborn someone wants to be. I mean, here upfront and in their face right now is some of the top, I'm not saying 'cause of me, [00:44:00] so let me just, but you know, this work or work like this is some of the most powerful stuff in the universe in terms of like our mindsets.

So if. You hear this and you still wanna stay in suffering, go for it. That's why they say sometimes ignorance is bliss. Right? You just Right. You know, not bliss, but, but yeah, I mean, how long do you wanna suffer? And, and do you not believe that the universe is talking to you right now? You've asked questions, you've prayed, you've wondered whatever it is that you do.

And here, boom, you get in some upfront insight from your great podcast over all the podcast episodes you've done and all the wonderful people that put out stuff in the world. At some point you're gonna go, wow, maybe the universe is talking to me. Maybe it's trying to knock me on the head, you know? Like, wow, this can change.

And again, there's no pressure so you can go at it at your own pace, right? Right. So you don't have to worry about, you know, how fast you go. Just know that it's here for you. It'll continue to bring this insight into your mind when you're ready to receive it. And it's up to you as to how long you want to live in suffering.

Or finally realize, you know what? I've had enough. I'm ready to experience more joy in my life. I love it. Alright, well, last thing I'd like to do. I like to play a [00:45:00] quick game. It's called Spiritual or Asshole, where I say some things you tell me if it's spiritual or asshole. Are you down? I'm good, let's roll spiritual or asshole invincibility tests, like jumping off a roof or saying things like, no, I don't want to go to your improv show.

Um, jumping off a roof delusional and, uh, not tuned with reality. So that would be, you know, unfortunately that's, that's asshole. Okay. choosing to not want to go to a show. Spiritual. That's, that's a positive thing. If you, if you don't wanna do that, love it. Spiritual Russell, having professional baseball players walk up music, be a recording of them, singing very bad karaoke.

Oh, that's spiritual. I agree. Very. It'll be actually really fun. I think that's, yeah, exactly. All right. Spiritual asshole. Rumi coming back to life saying, guys, I didn't write any of this. Yeah, asshole. That's some of my favorite stuff. I know. I know. You have room everywhere. All right.

Spiritual asshole. Someone saying, I listened when life talks. And today it said, nah, bro. [00:46:00] Spiritual, spiritual asshole. A social media influencer who's really, really confident. then you're like, well, I think maybe your mindset is too invincible. Huh, asshole. All right. Spiritual asshole. T-shirt Canons at more events than just sports, like gender reveals or funerals.

Oh, man. I'm split on that one. I don't know that, that could be fun. Or that could be really, I don't know. That's a, that locked my brain up. Okay, good. It's okay. All right, last one. Spiritual asshole. A world with complete infinite possibilities, yet two choices for precedent.

Yeah, I think you know where I'm gonna go on that. Yeah, that's pretty tough. But it's, it's, it's the best we've had so far and I'm really hoping that something better emerges, but it's gotta start with mind first. We gotta evolve our consciousness first. I completely agree outta this mess. I completely agree.

So last question I ask everybody, if you could tell people one thing to tell themselves all day long, what would it [00:47:00] be? That you're perfect just the way you are and that perfection can change and expand every single day. But it's gotta start with the acceptance and the love for the journey that has brought you to this moment.

I love that man. No one's ever said that before. Great job. Thank you. Appreciate it. Um, alright. Yeah, the book is out. You want to plug anything else? Talk about it? It's great. No, I mean just that Invincible is available on, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, any bookstore. you can follow me on Instagram if you like the stuff that I put out.

my website's, howard falco.com. It's all great. This was awesome man. Thank you so much. Thank you for having me on. Really appreciate it. This was really fun.

All right. What if the one question that you had to ask yourself to develop an invincible mindset is I. Is everyone on tv? Seth Rogan, keep it going for Howard Falco, everybody. Definitely check him out. Get his book Invincible. It's out right now. He has also another great book called I Am. It's very kickass.

Check [00:48:00] out his Instagram as well. It is at Howard Falco and guys, people. Let's never forget. That you are always deciding the rules and limitations of your life. I love being around unlimited people. I had an amazing discussion with Kyra Casey, I'll be telling you guys about, uh, we just recorded another podcast for her.

Just remember, and what's so good about having friends like Kyra is she starts pointing out the cracks in my psyche a lot. If there's something that you don't want and you're not getting it, and it's not by the planet Mars, or be Sabrina Carpenter. The chances are it's because you have a misaligned mindset on that subject, and it's actually that simple.

And sometimes we make it harder than it is, just know you are unlimited. Just know that this present moment right now is riddled in abundance, endless abundance for you. You are the best. have the greatest week of all time. You're butted as hell. Your limitless.

[00:49:00] Call me, let's go.
