Gabrielle: You're listening to expand with Gabrielle, where you will learn how to use ancient wisdom and new age science to create your dream life. Here I ground the woo and demystify powerful spiritual concepts to support your spiritual entrepreneur journey. We are talking out with the old toxic, masculine boss, babe culture of hustle, burnout, and anxiety and with the creatrix energy of creating through ease, magnetism, and flow.

Gabrielle: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let's get into it.

Gabrielle: Your business is a mirror. What does that mean and what does that have to do with your entrepreneurial journey and making more money? Believe me, you're going to want to know. This is something huge that I learned on my journey to entrepreneurship that has been really, really critical in helping me understand what was really going on behind my business.

Gabrielle: So let's dive in. [00:01:00] Your business is a mirror. Okay. Let's first tackle this by thinking about the properties of a mirror. When we look at the mirror, it is reflective. So it is reflecting back to us an image, then we see this image through our own lens of perception, right? Through our own experiences, memories, our paradigm, essentially.

Gabrielle: If you don't know what a paradigm is, visit one of my other episodes where I go deep into what our paradigm is and how that dramatically affects our income and our business as well. So going back to the mirror. So a mirror mirrors things back to us. It shows us what is on the external. It shows us things and then we perceive them through our lens.

Gabrielle: Now, how is the business a mirror? While you're on your entrepreneurial journey, you will know that there are times when you are procrastinating. There are times when you can't focus. There are times when you just can't see. Seems to tackle that project that [00:02:00] you really wanna tackle. You put it on your to-do list a thousand times, and somehow you never seem to get around to doing it.

Gabrielle: There are times when you show up on sales calls or you show up for networking and you're not really showing up at all. You're showing up as this other version of yourself and you're like, I don't know why I was so, so shy. I don't know why I didn't say what I wanted to say. I don't know why I came off as maybe graspy or clingy or needy.

Gabrielle: I don't know why I showed up and I was. So what self conscious and these are all the times when our business is mirroring back to us. areas in our life that are not in harmony with the vision of the business. Basically imagine that while you are on your entrepreneurial journey, you are expanding, you are meeting new edges, right?

Gabrielle: You're doing things that previously you didn't know how to do. That is the process of expansion. It's a beautiful journey. It's a lifelong journey and our [00:03:00] business is a tool for Or a container, if you will, that supports us on that journey because we have the desire to be business owners for a reason.

Gabrielle: Not everybody wants to be an entrepreneur. Not everybody wants to be a business owner, but you do and you're on that journey. And so you have this deep desire for value. Freedom and for, for time, money, freedom for, uh, luxury, maybe for travel, maybe for providing a beautiful home for yourself or your family, whatever it is, whatever the drive is, maybe for, impact, maybe for fame, whatever the desires are that are behind your business to help people, anything, those are sacred.

Gabrielle: You have those desires and not everybody has those desires. And so those desires are like the jet fuel in your rocket. They're the things that keep you going and keep you moving in your business. It's why you can move through the hard times, the seemingly hard times, the [00:04:00] things that feel difficult or feel very, conflicting or very, confrontational and, You have the, juice, you have the gumption, the ganas, the energy, the fire to move through that process because you want something.

Gabrielle: And when you want something, you have the energy. Now, as you're moving through this process of creating and getting what you want, there are going to be parts of you, the wounded parts, the limiting beliefs that surface. And it's really easy to see them in your business because there's so many opportunities for them to present themselves, right?

Gabrielle: We are meeting our edge. In many different areas, whether that be on sales calls, whether that be showing up as an expert, teaching, marketing, doing your accounting, talking about numbers, there's many opportunities. for any of these limiting beliefs and woundings to show up [00:05:00] that are not supporting your greater vision.

Gabrielle: And so while you're walking on your entrepreneurial journey, while you have this vision of where you want to go and maybe the amount of money you want to earn and the amount of people you want to impact or help while you're walking on that journey, things will arise. that are not in harmony with that.

Gabrielle: And what I mean by that is when you go do that bigger sales presentation with kind of a, a cash cow, let's say, or a bigger client and you've never spoken to somebody who's going to buy this much of your products before, that's a new edge. And on that new edge, you have the opportunity to step into this version of yourself that you haven't been before because you've never done this before.

Gabrielle: And so it's in that moment where it will probably become blaringly obvious if you have any limiting beliefs around. Speaking to authority or speaking to people who make more money than you do, or showing up as an expert [00:06:00] in a space where there could potentially be people who know what you're talking about in a deeper level and could critique you or whatever, whatever it is, there's a lot of opportunities.

Gabrielle: So this is how your business is a mirror and why is it so helpful for you to know this? It's so helpful for you to know this because As you're moving through your journey of entrepreneurialship, as you come across these hardships or blocks or a little bit more difficult experiences in the entrepreneurial journey, it's so helpful to anchor into the knowledge, to anchor into the fact that this is a journey of a becoming.

Gabrielle: That you are becoming a new version of yourself every week, every day, every year, that you continue to walk on your path. And it helps give yourself grace, it helps give yourself patience, and it also helps remind you to turn around and look back at how far you've come and to celebrate. [00:07:00] Because it's not just about the business metrics, it's not just about your EBITDA, your profit and loss metrics.

Gabrielle: Statement, the number of followers you have on social media or the number of emails on your email list. It's not just about those metrics. It's about the version of you. You are becoming in order to receive these new amounts of income to help these larger amounts of people to show up and speak with this new level of confidence.

Gabrielle: It's about that becoming. And so when we can kind of zoom out of our life and look at our life journey and look at how our business plays a role in this, it adds a lot of peacefulness. It adds a lot of Rudy groundy confidence to know that this is just a path of becoming. We can also dive a lot deeper into what success and failure are and how that's a lot of the wounding that comes up when you're working and building your business.

Gabrielle: But I'll save that for another episode because there's a lot there. But when I circle [00:08:00] back to talking about mirrors, And how your business is a mirror. Your business is not the only mirror in your life. There's a lot of emotionally charged situations that we can use as a tool in this way. Our business is one of them.

Gabrielle: That helps shows us this wounding, these limiting beliefs, these things stopping us from hitting that new edge, from becoming that next version of ourselves that has, the goal, the vision. Another thing here are intimate relationships. Your partner will mirror back to you a lot of this wounding as well.

Gabrielle: Maybe in a different spin, different capacity. Maybe it's about intimacy. Maybe it's about connection. Maybe it's about softness. Maybe it's about receiving. Maybe it's also about being wrong. our partners are very big mirrors. And so are our children, and so are our families. So if, you are spending more time [00:09:00] in one of those areas of your life than the other, you can use that as a tool to help guide you and show you where are the pieces of you that are not in harmony with what you're building, and how can you show up, hold space, look at the limiting beliefs, the wounding your paradigm.

Gabrielle: Start the process of the healing start the process of just witnessing. Okay. What is it? They keep showing up for me. Why does this feel? Uncomfortable, you know that like friction. Why do I hate doing this? Why do I hate showing up for this? Why do I feel so uncomfortable when I'm on a sales call?

Gabrielle: Why do I feel so uncomfortable when I talk on social media? Why do I feel so uncomfortable when I have to explain this to men who are around the age of my father? And then start to notice this and look beyond the surface. Because there's some deeper rooted things here, some wounding [00:10:00] that wants to be seen and it's going to keep showing up as patterns.

Gabrielle: Patterns are one of the biggest indicators that there is something that our subconscious mind, that our paradigm is wanting to push forward and that is not in harmony with what you are building.

Gabrielle: So in a nutshell, when you look at your business like a mirror, When you can see that there's a bigger journey that you're on beyond just building the business, when you can see how this is a part of your unfolding of a becoming, this is a sacred container for you to expand, to meet your edge, to test your limits, and to continuously evolve and become this more expressed, more authentic, more confident, more beautiful version of yourself.

Gabrielle: When you look at your business through this lens, then you can attack problems. You can nurture wounding, you can see the root cause so much easier.
