Gabrielle: Hello. Hello. One of the biggest mistakes that I see women make in their businesses is wobbling around this ability to find safety. So let's dive into what is safety? How do we cultivate it? How is this related to our business and our income and pricing and what kind of mile markers we set [00:01:00] for ourselves inside of our business.

Gabrielle: So to start with, I want to tell you a story. When I started working for myself, I before had worked in corporate and I got burnt out of corporate and I wanted to go travel the world. So I transitioned to owning my own marketing agency. And when I did this, I brought my corporate client over as a client, my corporate boss, I guess, over as a client and I started to attract other marketing clients.

Gabrielle: However, when I did this, I also felt very, very unsure and unsafe in my business. I was just starting out. I wasn't sure if clients were going to drop off or leave at any moment. And I felt like I had this very graspy, anxious attachment style. Towards my clients like I needed them. I needed them because this is my livelihood This is how I was going to be able to pay my rent I was just starting out and I had so much fear in my [00:02:00] body I would know when the fear was getting really bad Is I would find myself on indeed And those career websites, just checking, you know, just checking to make sure that there are positions out there for a marketing manager, a marketing director that I could apply for if I really needed to.

Gabrielle: But in my soul, I did not want to go back to working for anybody else. Like that is not what I wanted at all, but I would get so wrapped up in the fear, the fear of like, what if all my clients leave? Like, what if the other shoe drops? Like, what if this all falls apart? That I would just. I would just have panic attacks.

Gabrielle: I would have this fear consume me and I'd be looking for a backup plan. And I just felt very, very unsafe. And every time I entertained that backup plan, it didn't make me feel safer. It would just make me feel more upset about the circumstances that I was finding myself in. So what I want to talk about is a sense of safety.

Gabrielle: And what I was telling [00:03:00] myself is I would feel safe in my business when. I would feel safe in my business when I had 10 clients. Oh, and then I had 10 clients and I was like, no, I'll feel safe in my business when I have. 10, 000 in the savings account. I had that. I was like, no, no, no. I don't feel safe. I'll feel safe when I have 40, 000 in my bank account.

Gabrielle: Okay. I have that. No, no, I don't feel safe. I'll feel safe when I have a hundred thousand dollars in my bank account. No, no, no, no. I don't feel safe. I don't feel safe. And then it hit me like slab to the face when I hit that last mile marker. And I was like, Oh my gosh, I still don't feel safe because every time that I would raise the bar.

Gabrielle: Everything else would raise with it. So sure I had 10, 000 in the bank account, but I had whatever amount of monthly expenses and Commitments and things like that. Okay. Sure. I had 40, 000 in the bank account, but then my expenses grew my commitments grew Oh sure. I had 100, 000 in the savings account. Okay.

Gabrielle: [00:04:00] Yeah, but now I own properties and have mortgages and etc, etc So you see how this could be a never ending circle. And what I realized is that I was placing this sense of safety on external things. I was placing this sense of safety on how much money I had in my big account, how many clients I had.

Gabrielle: And so I was operating in this very graspy, very needy type energy around my clients and my business. And they could feel that. And so who was I attracting? I was attracting very graspy, needy clients. I remember at one point I had to fire a client because he was so graspy and so needy and didn't respect any of my boundaries, wanted to communicate all the time, wanted to talk about every single little problem, wanted to spiral about things constantly.

Gabrielle: And I had to go within and look at myself [00:05:00] and say like, why is this happening? Why is this happening that I'm attracting these graspy needy clients? Why is it that I feel graspy and needy? Why is it that when I think about losing a client, I could literally like crumble to the floor and die right now?

Gabrielle: Like what is going on? Like where is this energy coming from? And so I'm offering these stories to you to explore Where in your business are you in this kind of graspy needy energy? Where are you feeling like I need these clients or I need these views on social media or I need this specific conversion rate in my business or I need This pitch to work or I need this launch to work.

Gabrielle: Oh my gosh launching That like can cultivate so much stress and so much graspy energy And all this really comes down to is safety is do you feel safe? Do you feel safe financially? Do you feel safe in what you're offering, what you're teaching, what you're sharing? Do [00:06:00] you feel safe in your ability to create, to inspire, to innovate, to show up, to connect?

Gabrielle: Like where's your gauge on that? Because if I was being super honest with myself at these points in my life, like when I was running my marketing agency and I was so stressed about trying to over deliver to my clients, trying to make sure that everybody has was making so much money in their business because I was running ads.

Gabrielle: And if you guys know anything about ads, there's a certain amount of a lack of control that you have over this, right? Because it's all about, creativity and perception, like how, how the consumer is receiving the vibe of the ad, the image of the ad, the connection of the ad, how well the offer is positioned, the messaging, like things like this.

Gabrielle: And I didn't have control over all of that. A lot of times my clients had control over that and then I was managing the ads process for them and I could consult, [00:07:00] but it was up to them what they actually wanted to do. But then I was responsible for the results. So it was a really lose lose situation where I didn't feel that I had control over the results that I was then responsible for providing.

Gabrielle: And so that felt very unsafe. That felt very out of my hands and that felt like so much pressure. And of course, what would then happen naturally is that the other shoe would drop. I would stop working with a client and the story that I would tell myself about this was, Oh, am I not good enough? Am I not doing this correctly?

Gabrielle: And it's so funny because I had like insane results from other clients that could prove opposite, right? Like there was one client that we scaled some multiple six figures in three months. with ads. Like I've had absolutely amazing results with ads, but did I pay attention to those results? Did I look at those results?

Gabrielle: No, I was focused on all the reasons why [00:08:00] this wasn't working or all the ways this couldn't work or all the ways that this could fail because I was in such harmony, like such vibrational alignment with this idea that I wasn't safe. But was this idea necessarily conscious? Not necessarily. This wasn't necessarily something I was walking around the world thinking.

Gabrielle: I'm not safe. I'm not safe. I'm not safe. No It was more subtle. It's more of an undertone. It's more something. I had to go excavate and go find the root These symptoms were popping up But I had to go digging I had to go digging and find the root cause and I want to share this with you because When you're in business and when you're a business owner Cultivating this very rooted confidence, this very rooted, grounded, earthy sense of safety, sense of unwavering sense of connection to the value of what you offer, not the [00:09:00] value of yourself because yourself is not connected to your business.

Gabrielle: Like those are two different things. Like you are innately valuable. The business though, Needs to have offerings, needs to have its own value, needs to have its own kind of giving and receiving, cultivating this money energetic side here. But when you are in this calm, confident CEO energy, when you really anchor into trusting yourself to feeling safe, regardless of how much money you have in the bank account, or regardless of your clients reactions to things, That is when you're able to blossom.

Gabrielle: That is when you're able to quantum leap. And so this is a deep journey. Building a business is a spiritual journey. A hundred percent. Your business is a mirror. It's going to mirror back at you. So all the places where you are scared, all the limiting beliefs, all the lack of confidence, all the lack of worthiness, maybe fears of abandonment or being controlled or being ignored or invisible or rejection or criticism or [00:10:00] feeling inadequate or misunderstood.

Gabrielle: Whatever that fear is, whatever the root is, that's a hundred percent going to be mirrored back with your business. And so it's a journey of understanding the self behind the business. Because all of these things affect your bottom line. All of these aspects of self show up in your business. And so what I like to do is I like to blend the spiritual and the business, you know, the sacred and the science, the woo with the strategy.

Gabrielle: Because there lies the truth, the core, like the essence. because as a business owner, of course, how you show up, what you think about, what you feel, the energy you express is going to affect the income. You make the clients that you attract to your sales process, your marketing, it's going to affect all of this.

Gabrielle: That's part of the process. And so in this container, you have the support, you have the guidance, you have somewhere to tap back in, to anchor back in as you're planting these seeds, watering these seeds. it's amazing. it's accumulation of what I've learned over the past decade.

Gabrielle: with all this information from shamanic wisdom, from psychology, the mindset, the energetics, the physical, the emotional, there's ancient wisdom in here, modalities, but I simplify it. I simplify all these learnings and all these teachings in a way that's so digestible, so action oriented.
