Marine Mammal Center - Sausalito - Marin County, CA, USA
The Marine Mammal Center advances ocean health thru marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, research, and education.
From the depletion of fish stocks to increasing ocean temps, human activity threatens marine ecosystems vital to the health of our ocean and life on Earth
Since 1975, MMC rescued more than 26,000 marine mammals along 600 miles of California coastline and the Big Island of Hawai‘i. With a volunteer force numbering more than 1,400 and the support of a concerned public, the Center is able to respond to marine mammals in distress. Sick and injured animals are treated and rehabilitated at their veterinary facilities
