Liz Orchestrates a Dinner Party
Now it's Liz's turn to create her perfect dinner party. Setting the tone musically and scoring an event comes naturally to Liz, of course... plus she's a terrific chef. So we can assume the music is on point and the menu is divine. But you'll never guess who she's invited and what she has in store for the night.

This week's cocktail or mocktail-- THE GOPHER MAMBO:
First, make your own banana maple syrup:
Combine 4 cups of sliced banana (fresh or frozen), 2 cups of maple syrup, and 4 cups of water in a sauce pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the bananas become mush. Strain into a jar and set aside to cool.
For the drink itself:
2 oz rye (for mocktail, use ginger beer)
1 oz banana maple syrup
1 oz Tuaca (for mocktail, use vanilla or butterscotch syrup plus a few drops of orange extract)
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, then shake, strain into a cute glass, and garnish with a cherry.
