This week's cocktail or mocktail-- THE PICK-UP:
2 oz bourbon (for mocktail, use ginger ale plus ½ oz bourbon extract)
½ oz maple syrup
½ fresh lemon juice
Maple extract to taste
Shake all ingredients over ice, then strain into a stemmed glass, garnish with a twist of lemon peel or some star anise.
